this is a solid, almost academic, handbook. it's points you toward the things you need to figure out but you'll still need to get additional information on your local regulations. personnaly, it discouraged me from opening a buisness at this time.
Outstanding book!.......2007-03-15
This book is very detailed and to the point. It covers all areas of the restaurant business. Then menu planning section is great. It gives so much foresight.

It's the essence of a successful handbook-no jokes, parables, and preachy lectures, just the facts. If you delve into the heal-thy index for fault, you'll abruptly bump into a page number for an answer, and if you're currently running a restaurant and afraid to appear inadequate, you can load the handy CD-ROM and pretend you're checking your e-mail while figur-ing out the monthly audit procedures or why the beer is flat. I'm not kidding. The next time your favorite kitchen runs short of the daily special or closes down for a lack of permit, serve them a copy of this great reference book.
Superb!!.......2003-10-01
The books nineteen chapters cover the entire process of a restaurant start-up and ongoing management. The companion CD rom which contains all the forms is worth the modest price of the book alone. I would highly recomend this book to anyone in the industry now or who wants to get started with sound financial planning. Customer Reviews:
Good for beginning Wordpress developers, bad for the rest of the world........2007-10-06
This book is over-priced, padded with useless screenshots and poorly edited. The first 100 pages - and some of the back hundred for that matter - are filled with distracting explanations of topics irrelevant to properly using and building bloggy websites with Wordpress. The English is a mishmash of South Asian/British/American that reads like it was written by a tired programmer at 3 in the morning, and edited by someone with their eye on the clock rather than on the text.
That said, while end-users should just say no - the online Wordpress documentation is better and more to the point, and there are some good third-party websites as well - for a beginning Wordpress developer the chapters on theming and coding plug-ins are quite helpful. Well, at least I did found them so while doing a quick WP project. If only there had been 2 or 3 more chapters extending those lessons!
In short: this book is definitely over-priced. End-users should avoid this book; beginning WP developers will definitely find two or three chapters excellent how-tos on theming and coding plug-ins.
Unbelievably bad writing.......2007-08-30
It's true that this book does have some useful information for those who are just starting out with WordPress; however, the writing is so bad that it's almost painful to read.
I understand the author is from Bangladesh, but didn't this publishing house have an editor on staff? How did a $40 book make it to the bookshelves of highly respected bookstores with writing that reads like a term paper from junior high?
Normally I wouldn't bother to come to Amazon and criticize a book that was generally helpful, but I just can't understand how this kind of writing managed to find its way into book form. This is why editors exist.
Want to Develop your own WordPress Theme?.......2007-08-05
The reason for me to buy this book was for the information on how to develop your own themes. But that information isn't presented well. The coding example starts off relatively easy and well explained, but before long, it doesn't really teach anything as much as it just tells you to plug in chunks of code into your files and then see what happens. And the book changes coding conventions to an abbreviated form somewhere along the way, just when it starts to get a bit complicated for a non-coder like me.
The rest of the book is all filler. Did you know that blog mean Web-Log? And that a person who blogs is a blogger? Well, if you didn't, then the book might be worth its high price tag. But I just told you, so now you do.
I'm just grumpy because I lost my receipt and can't return it now (bought mine offline).
Want to Develop your own wordpress theme?
Urban Giraffe's article, tho old, has way better and more relevant information than this book. And it's free.
[...]
Avoid at all costs unless you are a total novice.......2007-07-26
"Complete" in no way describes this book. I have yet to find any mention of tagging, sessions, pages, or many other important aspects of WP. Part of the problem is that the book's index is almost non-existent. In all fairness, the author says that the book is for beginners; that said, the author spends far too much time reiterating the easy stuff (installation, how to create a basic blog entry, etc) that is explained for free on the WP web site (and dare I say in a much clearer way). Also, the figures look like they were printed-on-demand on a laser printer; this is not acceptable for a price tag like this (cf. O'Reilly's production values). I returned it right away.
Poorly written and overpriced........2007-07-11
The author may have mastered WordPress, but he has not mastered the English language. The book often reads like a grade school book report. For $40 dollars, I expected more substance and quality. There is a lot of filler material and the layout is poorly done. I suggest looking elsewhere.
Book Description
The definitive guide to vermicomposting-a process using redworms to recycle food waste into nutrient-rich food for plants. Newly revised and updated, this 162 page manual provides complete illustrated instructions on setting up and maintaining small-scale worm composting systems. Topics include different bins, what kind of worms to use, sex life of a worm, preparing worm beddings, how to meet the needs of the worms, what kinds of foods to feed the worms, harvesting worms, and making potting soil from the vermicompost produced. A 63 page bibliography, 24 annotated references, a glossary, and comprehensive index make this a valuabe reference book as well as a practical manual.
Customer Reviews:
All you need to know to start your own compost.......2007-08-26
I must say that I knew most of the stuff contained in the book, since the web contains a LOT of information. Nevertheless, the online info is quite dispersed. Here you can have all the knowledge in one book. Also, I did not give it 5 stars, because I think it still lacks a bit of professionalism; the author indeed knew a lot from decades for worm composting, but still, a lot of her knowledge was empiric and seems unsure of some of the causes. For instance, she emphasizes a lot on cold climates and gives little info on hot climates.
Good Instructions.......2007-07-04
This book had very compete instructions on the worm composting system. In fact, it was so good, that after reading it, I decided that the amount of care they would need was more than I wanted to take on.
Recycling to the Max.......2007-06-09
More and more people are developing an interest in non-toxic methods of horticulture and agriculture. Not only that, but the limitations of landfills, the expense of fossil fuels, and the growing body of evidence showing a relationship between human activity and global warming is leading us to consider the wisdom of recycling. Everything. So here we are with a natural, inexpensive method of enriching our soil, and making it disease and pest resistant. This book is a great introduction to the topic of vermiculture. It may take a while before you actually get up the courage to do it, because the book does not adequately dramatize and address the fears and revulsions most people have to rotting, decomposition, and the like. But still, it's a good book.
Hurray for Worms.......2007-03-09
This book is very informative. My only negative comment is that sometimes the information is hard to find when going back for reference.
I've had my worms for 3 days now and a few have escaped. Overall they seem happy to eat the food I've put in the home I made for them, but plastic tubs the size and shape that she recommends are pretty impossible to find. I don't know if this is why some of them are trying to leave. I hope to get an upgrade in worm housing for an upcoming birthday and perhaps this will eliminate the wanderlust some of them are feeling.
How I rate "Worms Eat My Garbage" by Mary Appelhof.......2007-01-04
This is a great book! Not only was it easy to read, I found everything I needed to know and more. The book is filled with a nice blend of scientific information presented with a light-hearted often amusing approach.

Customer Reviews:
Here's a different take.......2007-09-07
I found the first book, Sabriel, readable, if not fantastic. The second book, Lirael, is really quite awful, and I only made it 100 pages or so. The writing is poor....blocky sentences and remedial storyline. Anyways, the love fest for this trilogy needed some perspective.
Good series.......2007-08-31
This is a highly enjoyable and well-written series. Garth Nix is an author that I'll be watching for to see what he does next.
Good quick service.......2007-08-09
I recieved the product before the date that i was supposed to recieve it in the mail. The books were in awesome condition. Thanks for the excellent service.
A path seldom taken ..........2007-04-13
The land of death opens up in front of the reader of this surprising fairytale. The author adroitly juxtaposes a realistically drawn modern world with an ancient magical kingdom where the doors between life and death open easily, and the perilous journey into darkness becomes more often than not reversible. The epic quest entices the reader with unique tools of enchantment, such as the charmed servants and paper planes, to explore the differences between the rational and the intuitive world, and dares them to trod the path not easily taken.
The character that readers can probably identify with the most of the triology is Lirael. As child and young adult she feels thoroughly alienated by her immediate surroundings, a feeling that no doubt is shared by many. In the end she discovers that much like the ugly duckling she has powers far beyond those of her peers, leading to a thoroughly satisfying ending of the triology. Lirael much reminded me of the woman in The Woman and The Raven.
A must read for fantasy lovers.......2007-03-12
This is one of my favorite story series. I love the strong female characters. I am really thrilled to see a very strong and clear writing style. There is depth to the characters, clarity in the relationships, and a forward moving plotline. The best part is that Nix wraps it all up with a satisfying conclusion, leaving us with an appetite for more, rather than being overdone on it!
This was a really well imagined and developed realm that almost seems real.
Excellent choice of book.
Book Description
There are six million out there—from Eric Clapton’s million-dollar “Blackie” to your treasured hand-me-down—and still the world can’t get enough of the Fender Stratocaster, the legendary electric guitar-of-choice for players and dreamers from pioneers like Buddy Holly to today’s garage-band heroes. This is the world’s first hands-on, how-to manual for the Strat, taking the mystery out of maintaining and modifying what is really a relatively simple instrument (two boards, some wires, some pickups). It shows you how to make the most of your Stratocaster—and how to make it truly your own.
With clear text and colorful illustrations, this guidebook takes readers through the basics of selecting and buying Strats; maintenance and repairs such as tuning, setting intonation, tremolo alignment, fret repairs, bridge and nut adjustments, electrics troubleshooting; spur-of-the-moment stageside fixes; and some basic performance enhancements like adding “hot rod” Fender and aftermarket pickups, locking-tremolo nuts, and more.
Customer Reviews:
Does Not Do Justice To The Usual Haynes Manuals Quality.......2007-10-07
First, if you just bought a Strat (any type from the far, far East to the current American Standard)you might enjoy this book but if you have owned Strats before and are familiar with them you should save your money. If you are looking for real usable information to really set up your Strat to perfection, you might look at Dan Erlewine's books instead either the one on repairs or the one on how to make your electric guitar play great.
My copy of this book was one of the first editions ordered through Amazon.uk in England and arrived months ahead of the US release of this book. I was disappointed that the book was not up to the usual Haynes manual quality (like the ones for cars and motorcycles). Who needs to see a picture of Squier Strat pickups to know they are junk? Or a close up of a cracked pickguard from an overtightened screw? History wise it gives some data, but not nearly as much as the Duchossoir book and the Wheeler book. Both of which are excellent. Or even the Minnihinnet and Young book.
Don't expect too much from this book. It tries to cover many areas of the Strat but offers no real depth for any area. It might be worth it at about half the price it's offered at. More and better information is available elsewhere.
Great book about Fender guitars........2007-06-09
Very well-written book about the history and maintenance of Fender guitars. What I really like most about the book is the generous data provided on Squier guitars! I cannot afford a true Fender Stratocaster. Great info about famous Strat players! Did you know that Buddy Holly played a strat? I love how the book shows what is done to fix guitars using case studies, too. It is the best book that I have read on Fender guitars, ever.
The BEST book out there on Strat maintenance.......2007-04-15
I wanted to give a more in-depth review of this book than what's currently on here now.
First, about myself. As of the writing of this review I'm 38 and have been playing for over 20 years. I have been setting up, modifying and tinkering with guitars all along. So trust me when I say that this book is a must-have if you want to work on your Fender Strat. Or, if you just want to know more about what makes a strat sound and play the way it does, this book serves that purpose as well. If you are already familair with setting up your strat then this book won't tell you anything new, but it's still an enjoyable read.
The book is 176 glossy pages with rich, beautiful professional photos throughout the entire book. The text is very easy to read even for those that aren't entirely familiar with the intricate working and electronics of guitars in general and therefore provides for an enjoyable read even for the casual reader.
What the book is not: Althought it touches on repair, t's not a repair manual. The information on repair is not comprehensive enough to actually do it yourself. It's not a compendium of Strats from year to year giving comprehensive differences and when things changed. This information is already available from other sources. It's not simply a picture book or coffee table book even though the size and Hard Cover format might suggest.
What it is: A comprehensive breakdown of how to set-up your Fender Stratocaster. And it does this in a fashion that allows the new tinkerer to get in there and do the work themselves. Very much in the same vein as Dan Earlwine's books.
The book goes over specific bridge designs and how to adjust string height, trem settings, etc. It explains how to adjust the truss rod on the various styles (bullet, vintage at the heel, at the peghead, etc.). It shows you how to set up the pickup heights, string heights, etc. Also explains some weaknesses inherent in specific designs such as vintage tuners, saddles, etc.
The book also has a great set of appendices that explains Fender neck profiles, body woods, what specific screws are used where (great for knowing what to order if you lost one), and a few other tidbits.
Of note there is a good part of the book dedicated to examining a few specific models of guitars and their specs. They are: 54' Custom Shop, US 57 RI, Chinese Squier, Mexican Fat Strat, Indonesian 'Standard' Squier, Custom Shop Clapton, US 74' reissue, Japanese 50th Anniversary, US Am Series 2005, Chinese Standard Squier. These "case studies" examine the actual guitar in the author's hands, not just the model in generic terms. This information isn't terribly useful, but it is fun to read an offers some insight to the variances of some models.
Lastly, there is a small section devoted to some of the Strat's most famous players and it examine's a famous strat that they used. Again, the information contained is not "defining" to me, but it's fun to read.
In conclusion, the reason to buy the book is for the clearly-written step-by-step instructions on how to set up your Stratocaster. The rest of the information can be found in other places, and probably in better detail, but it's nice to have it all contained in one book.
I think a book like this is long overdue. Without this book the tinkerer would have to spend a few weeks asking Q&A at various guitar forums. And even then you have to figure out who's right and who's wrong. I can say from my own experiences over the years in setting guitars up that this book is an excellent resource for the would-be do-it-yourselfer that wants to learn basic maintenance on his/her Fender Stratocaster.
The book is a joy to read too. If you don't have a Strat and are thinking of buying one...this book will put you over the edge and send you running off to buy one.
Cheers!
fantastic resource.......2007-04-05
If you want to know everything there is to know about the Fender Stratocaster, this is your Bible. History, great photos, set up instructions, it's all there. Two knocks: a bit self serving as if it were a Fender advertisement at times, and I would have liked to have seen case studies on more diverse artists: Malmsteen, Buddy Guy, Gilmour, Sambora, and even EVH. Still a solid 5.
a great guide.......2007-03-10
this is a great book chock full of great information about how to set up and maintain nearly everything on a fender stratocaster. in great pictoral detail. it is invaluable to any person working on strats.
i almost withheld that last star (4-star review) simply because of his choices of which models that they delve into are almost all reissue guitars. i would prefer to see case studies of actual 50s, 60s, 70s, 80, and such stratocasters.

Customer Reviews:
The GIver.......2007-07-26
Great trilogy. Haven't read the 2nd 2 yet, so this review is just for The Giver. I bought it for myself and my 9 year old. We both really liked it. It is written in such a way, that you envision a black and white world devoid of emotion and color which is what the author wants. It really was a great book for discussion with my child as it explores having personal choice, love/nuturing/emotions, and individuality. The back of the book has questions that help explore these areas even more. It was interesting to see a child's perspective vs. an adults. This book makes us all think about how society is and how it can be. Recommended.
Great Trilogy.......2007-07-03
This box-set is one of the most enduring trilogies I have ever read. The first book is an instant classic, The Giver. I actually read this book back in 1994, when I was in the 4th grade. I read it now again, and I am still just as enamored with it. I didn't even know there were two other books that followed until I did some research. The next two books are just as good, and the best part is that are not carbon-copies. One could actually read them by themselves, but it's so much better when you know the stories before them.
Connections galore.......2007-06-21
I had read "The Giver" some time ago, but had never read the other books in the series. I always wondered what happened to Jonas. This clears things up for me. He came into the community on the sled and became the Seer. I really enjoyed putting the pieces of the puzzle together and realizing who was who in former books and what role they play in "The Messenger." The only thing is that I wondered what happened to Gabriel...could he be the teacher? They only mention one coming in on the sled, but at the end of "The Giver," there are actually two people on it.
Giver.......2007-05-21
It's beautiful book for all family. I had a big pleasure when I red it.
They should make movies!.......2007-01-31
They should make movies of this trilogy. I adored all three of these books, though at times, they left me with a few unanswered questions. "How does Kira change her world without being killed?" for example, in Gathering Blue. Who exactly is Trademaster in Messenger and where does he go in the end? I guess Lois Lowry wanted her readers to use their own creative gifts and answer these questions for themselves. I wonder where one reviewer got the idea that Leader in Messenger arrived in Village "with an older boy who didn't survive the journey." There is no mention of a dead boy in Messenger, and it is clear to me from the descriptions given who Leader is.
Buying these books in a box set and reading them in order gives a reader the chance to see the common theme they share of society gone bad or in the wrong hands (or both) and the desperate need for things like love, compassion and creativity. Buy this set; you won't regret it. And bring on the directors and screen writers!
Customer Reviews:
A delicious series that will definitely give you something to talk about!.......2007-09-29
The Upper East Side used to be overrun with plastic surgery happy society women, and spoiled tots torturing their high-priced nannies. But times have changed. While these people still occupy a small portion of the sidewalks, they have been pushed aside for a new generation of beautiful people. Teenagers brought up in the lap of luxury, who spend their days buying overpriced La Perla undergarments at Barney's, and indulging in frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity. But spending money isn't all that's on their mind. There's always...gossip.
GOSSIP GIRL: Ever since the flawless Serena van der Woodsen departed from New York City to take up residence at a boarding school in Connecticut, sixteen-year-old Blair Waldorf has ruled Constance Billard School for Girls. As the daughter of a prominent lawyer turned gay, Blair has always gotten her way. And, with Serena out of the picture, was able to snag the gorgeous, green-eyed Nate Archibald for herself. Unfortunately, as much as Blair would like to deny it, Nate has always had a thing for Serena. A secret passion for the blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty. And now with Serena back in the picture, Blair doesn't know where their relationship will stand. So she has to take drastic measures...hand Nate her V card and he'll be hers forever. The only problem is that Nate is a stoner who has a very short attention span, and even sacrificing herself to Nate won't let him forget the passion he feels for Serena.
But he's not the only one. Dan Humphrey isn't your typical rich kid. For one, while he attends school with some of New York City's most privileged, he actually resides in an apartment on the Upper West Side with his chesty younger sister, Jenny, and his eccentric writer father, Rufus. Dan is a dark, brooding poet, whose penchant for cigarettes and Folgers coffee crystals leave much to be desired. But, like Nate, Dan is infatuated with Serena. The only difference is that he has never so much as spoken to her before, and she doesn't know he exists. Now that Serena's off the A-List, and treading outcast waters, however, the only thing he can hope is that she'll find her way to him and they can live happily ever after. In his dreams, of course. 5 stars.
YOU KNOW YOU LOVE ME: Everyone is in the midst of applying to Ivy League Colleges, but Blair Waldorf is planning a little something extra...her seventeenth birthday. Unfortunately, her mother has sprung a big announcement - she's getting married to Cyrus Rose, and the wedding will take place on Blair's birthday. So much for special days. Then there's Serena, who is being constantly pursued by Dan, a disturbed poet with intense affections. Sure, Serena is used to being pursued by guys of all ages, but Dan is slightly creepy with his morbid poetry. Of course, Serena is a girl, and what girl doesn't love having poems being written about her.
Although these teens are rich, obviously money can't buy you everything. At least it can't buy Blair Waldorf everything. For Blair's seventeenth birthday bash is coming up, and she knows that the only thing that she can possibly wish for is Nate Archibald, her troubled, yet gorgeous, boyfriend, of course. But little does she know that while she's sending out college applications, Nate is fooling around with Jenny Humphrey, a ninth-grader! Looks like Blair's birthday is destined to be a blowout of epic proportions. 5 stars.
ALL I WANT IS EVERYTHING:
Blair Waldorf is having the worst time of her life. She has just completely flubbed her Yale interview, even going so far as to kiss her interviewer; she must contend with a dreadlock-bearing new stepbrother named Aaron, who seems to have some ulterior motives up his sleeve; her mother is marrying a loser whom she has known for hardly no time at all; and, to top it all off, Nate has ditched her for a chesty ten-year-old - well, she looks ten. Luckily, she and Serena van der Woodsen are back on speaking terms, and living it up as BFF's once more. But who knows how long that will last.
The holidays are just around the corner, and with the Upper East Side absolutely freezing, everyone who's loaded is planning on ditching their Marc Jacobs coats, and slipping into their Missoni string bikinis for a Christmas in a tropical place. With Nate Archibald having called it quits with Blair in order to take up a romance with freshman Jenny Humphrey, Blair is anything but ready to say goodbye to the city, and head off to St. Bart's with Serena, where they can sunbathe topless, and, perhaps, have a winter fling. Unfortunately, Serena is being stalked by Flow, the hottest rock star on the planet - at least at the moment - and can't seem to shake him off, and Blair, armed with her iBook plans on holing up in the hotel room writing the essay for her Yale application. Looks like this vacation won't be as sizzling as originally planned. But with Blair's new stepbrother, Aaron, and his pal Miles in tow, you never know when the sparks will fly.
Back in the city, Nate and Jenny are having the time of their life. But with Blair's sudden appearances at every turn, Nate finds himself more and more drawn to the girl he has known and loved for so many years. But then there's Jenny. Sweet, innocent, voluptuous Jenny. Maybe if Nate spent less time being baked, and more time being straight, he'd be able to decide who he's truly lusting over.
Then there's Jenny's older brother, Dan. Since admitting their passion for one another, Dan and Vanessa have been having a whirlwind romance - albeit a dark one - filled with foreign films, cigarettes, strong instant coffee, and lots and lots of black. But since falling in love, Dan finds himself at a standstill regarding his poetry. Suddenly, he's experiencing writer's block firsthand, and it's not a pretty picture. But when Vanessa supposedly does something that betrays both him and Jenny, he wonders if this is the push he needs to get his writing back on track - and to get even. 5 stars.
Let's put it bluntly, Cecily von Ziegesar is a genius. She has taken the simple subject of rich, spoiled, troublemaking teens, and managed to produce a series that is both irresistible and infuriating. Each of the characters bring a sense of upper class to the table, along with a bit of scandal, and, dare I say it, trashiness. They have created a virtual playground of the Upper East Side, and dominate every hotel, club, or bar from Manhattan to Williamsburg. But they're oh so delicious. Serena is carefree and easygoing, however, she possesses a selfless and tragic air that makes her irresistible. Blair, on the other hand, is stuck-up and pretentious, but she knows how to let her hair down. Unfortunately, she usually lets her hair down at approximately the same time that her claws come out. Nate is a bad boy in good boy's clothing. His gorgeous looks make up for the fact that he has little between the ears due to how much of his time he spends high. Jenny and her older brother, Dan, on the other hand, are artistes who add a sweet touch to the series; and Vanessa manages to turn heads by brandishing her bald one. Each character converges together to weave an amazing story that leaves you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. A delicious series that will definitely give you something to talk about!

Love These Books.......2007-03-30
I absolutely love this collection of books! After reading the first book, I went ahead and ordered the second and third collection. I just finished reading my third book and I can't wait to get the rest of the books I ordered in the mail. I have to say that the books are addicting and once you start, you don't want to stop. I am 25 years old and I find great leisure and entertainment from these books. I recommend this collection of books to girls who like to gossip and to gilrs who are from New York!!

i'm addicted to these books!.......2006-06-29
The books are great. I read through them really fast because they were so good i just couldn't put them down. I had to find out what was gonna happen next. I would highly suggest reading them. There however is some swearing and talk about sex, drugs, and alcohol though but i cant imagine what the books would be like without it.

Revealing.......2007-03-16
This book is awesome...an easy and intriquing read!
I am amazed at the amount of research that Swanson has documented. But, then the topic of the book would need much research and documentation for the book to be found credible.
Now I know why it is said that the new term for COMMUNISM IS ENVIRONMENTLISM.
A Must-Read book.......2003-07-10
This book is amazing! I didn't realize the full impact of the Green Movement until I read this book. I thought the Greens were a harmless group dedicated to preserving nature - NOT! If you think this is what the Greens are about, READ THIS BOOK! The facts are there, and they are real.
All should read!.......2002-05-31

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!.......2006-12-15
With all the great classic cocktail books out there, I wonder why it is necessary for everybody to try to do a "me-to" version. Many technical errors and incorrect information. Why bother?
Comprehensive, but hard to use.......2006-07-12
This book has a TON of drinks, but there are no color photos and the drinks are arranged by the name of the drink, not the type of alcohol or main ingredients. Plus, as a paperback, you have to hold it open to use it- not very handy. I probably wouldn't buy it again.
ok.......2006-04-28
I was not impresed with this book. While everything is sorted it is still kind of piled together(small print and crapping newprint paper with no space between anything). I looked up some of my favorite and the recipes were messed up.
Not very good for beginners.......2006-04-02
This book lists drinks only by their main alcohol ingredient ONLY. Not very helpful if you don't know the drink's main alcohol ingredient. What kind of bartender bible doesn't have a recipe for a cosmopolitan? Is an alphabetical list of all the dinks in the book too much to ask? Every time I use this book I get pissed off.
great gift.......2006-03-11
This book is excellent for beginner drinkers who attend bars. This book includes just about every mixed drink out there; plus more. It provides the reader with great detail as to what certain ingredients are and different variations of a particular drink. GREAT GREAT pocket book.

Stephanie Plum Bounty Hunter by Janet Evanovich.......2007-07-25
Plum Boxed Set 1 (1, 2, 3)]][Plum Boxed Set 2 (4, 5, 6)Plum Boxed Set 3 (7, 8, 9)Novel)]]
I LOVE reading about Stephanie Plum and her hilarious mysteries. She is a bounty hunter, of all things. She finds herself in the most bizarre situations. I can hardly wait to order the next set of books because they are so well written and FUNNY! There have been times when I have been reading along and have laughed right out loud. Did I say in the doctor's office, beauty shop, dentist's office, at home? Her books are also very intriguing as mysteries. Her 2 love interests add an additional element of intrigue to this series. The other characters in her books are very well done. Her family is quite a family, especially Grandma. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys mysteries and loves to laugh. I hope she stays just ahead of me in writing. I can't wait to read the next book!!!
Wonder author, wonderful books.......2007-07-20
Get the great series by Janet Evanovich! If you never lived in "Jersey", you will wonder. If you have, you will laugh! Characters are real, situations vary from insane to insanely weird (how about a car that ends up 12 inches thick?) but all the way through, you keep thinking, "Could I do that? Have I done that?"
Wonderful!.......2007-06-09
I loved these books! I'm a big fan of the Stephanie Plum series and have enjoyed these very much. My husband read them too, and we both laughed out loud while reading. They are very entertaining and move quickly-easy reads. I recommend them!
