Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Customer Reviews:
Readers in need of reassurance about God's love and power.......2007-06-06
I was hooked on Max Lucado's FOR THESE TOUGH TIMES from the beginning because it starts with a question from the Psalms: "When all that is good falls apart, what can good people do?" Questions are a time-honored approach to the mystery of all we don't understand about faith --- and the perfect way to start a book on the difficult problem of suffering and evil.
First written as a response to the events of September 11th, FOR THESE TOUGH TIMES has been redesigned as an all-purpose gift book that speaks to any difficult situation: the death of a loved one, the injustice of world hunger, a broken relationship. Christians have long mined the Psalms and the Book of Job for answers to the problems of evil, pain and suffering in the world. And what they've found, as Lucado has found, is that there are no pat answers. Rather, as Psalm 11:3-4 continues, we discover that God is in control. He is over everything. And when we have no pat answers, Lucado compellingly shows that we still have the knowledge that God loves us and cares about what happens to us.
Eight short chapters, plus an introduction and a prayer, make up this slim yet meaty volume. In the book, he asks "Who is God? Where is God in the midst of evil? Can good come from evil? And prayer --- is God really listening?"
Lucado looks to scripture for examples of biblical characters --- Joseph, Moses, Daniel --- who endured difficult circumstances yet whose tragedies were turned into triumphs. He also looks to creation as evidence of God's power and majesty. "Nature is God's workshop. The sky is his résumé. The universe is his calling card. You want to know who God is? See what he has done. You want to know his power? Take a look at his creation. Curious about his strength? Pay a visit to his home address: 1 Billion Starry Sky Ave."
His images are fresh and vivid throughout, whether retelling the story of the nativity or the drama of Jesus calming the storm. "And that was just the beginning of what his sea mates would witness," Lucado writes. "Before it was over, they would see fish jump into the boat, demons dive into pigs, cripples turn into dancers, and cadavers turn into living, breathing people."
Lucado points to scriptures such as Romans 8:31 ("If God is for us, who can be against us?") as a reminder of God's personal care for us. "You are protected. God is with you." Nothing can separate us from God's love if we desire it, because of Jesus, he reminds us.
One of the toughest ideas Lucado offers is that God uses Satan to refine the faithful and allows us to experience pain to come back to faith, be disciplined when we've sinned, or test the church. This is perhaps the most discussable portion of the book, depending on your theology of suffering.
He also discusses the terrible price of revenge and bitterness when we've been victimized in some way and invites readers to consider this: "Would you like assurance that God forgives you? I think you know what you need to do." He urges readers to remember to make time to listen to God, to be quiet, and to be still. He reminds us that "your prayer on earth activates God's power in heaven....When you speak, Jesus hears. And when Jesus hears, the world is changed."
At the end of the book, Lucado includes "Do it Again, Lord," a prayer adapted from one written for America Prays, a national prayer vigil on September 15, 2001. The prayer echoes his belief that "Though we may not be able to see his purpose of his plan, the Lord of heaven is on his throne and in firm control of the universe and our lives. So we entrust him with our future. We entrust him with our very lives." Readers in need of reassurance about God's love and power in the face of evil and suffering will find solace in these pages.

While this is a nice LITTLE book to send someone who is going through a trial or some storms of the spirit, I would emphasize LITTLE. It is also very simple easy language. For a gift book for a friend who is suffering, and may or may not know Jesus, it is a great gift. If you are looking for a good ol' Max Lucado book to spend some time with, look elsewhere!
Excellent.......2007-02-11
It is difficult to write a review for Max Lucado because all of his books are 5 stars. I never hesitate to give one of his books as a gift because I know it will be helpful and there won't be anything that would offend. Max has an intimate relationship with God. God's love fills Max's heart and it spills out in his books.

Book Description
We can no longer trust that our journalists are reporting the news without underlying corporate or governmental agendas. The US government deregulates radio and right-wing Clear Channel gobbles up available frequencies. Journalists are embedded and the war in Iraq is a noble one. Whether the information is fabricated, one-sided, or illegally obtained, recent scandals like those involving Judy Miller and Robert Woodward only serve to underline the point that journalistic integrity is not what it used to be.
Enter Jeffrey St. Clair and Alexander Cockburn, who have not only kept the tradition of muckraking alive, but have reinvented and reinvigorated it for our times. Their newest effort,
End Times, presents a detailed scrutiny of the "quality" print press and leading corporate media in the last decade, detailing a disastrous sequence of misrepresentation, suppression, ignorance, and willful embrace of the government's agenda. These essays trace the impending disintegration of what is now "old media"-the traditional and now potentially tainted sources of our daily news-and looks toward the emergence of an entirely new landscape of mass communications: one that includes a more populist approach to information dissemination.

Essential reading for anyone interested in free speech and media democracy!.......2007-06-17
Recently, I obtained a copy of this excellent CounterPunch anthology by becoming a member of the Friends of AK Press, something you too should consider if you're interested in cutting-edge radical thought. Exposing the corporate media as a propaganda organ of the reactionary right, "End Games" is a passionate call to democratize the news. Whether they're discussing the war on Iraq, Rupert Murdoch, the pro-Israel lobby, Bill O'Reilly, or the attack on micro-radio, Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair will entertain and enlighten you. Smart, urgent, and at times wickedly funny, this is a book you need to read. And then after you read it, go on and make a movement documentary, start a punk band, publish a zine, organize a teach-in, post a story on Indymedia.org, or participate in a poetry slam. In short, become the media!

No Time to Say Goodbye: Surviving The Suicide Of A Loved One
Customer Reviews:
Help during a dark time.......2007-09-22
12 years ago when a friend committed suicide, it was the only book I could find on the subject. It definitely helped me through, especially talking about the stigma attached to suicide and how friends and family don't know how to act.
My only complaint was some of the stories she tells about suicide are a bit too graphic for my taste, but I would recommend the book. The listings of help and support in the back are helpful as well.
No Time to Say Goodbye - Carla Fine.......2007-09-04
An inside perspective of what surviving the suicide of a loved one feels like. It's nice to know you're NOT alone as there's such a lot of shame and stigma surrounding suicide; society just doesn't talk about it and when it happens to you, you feel incredibly alone and rather like a side show amusement park act with passers by glaring. If only more people 'came out' and offered support... this book offers that support and understanding. Written matter-of-factly it's never condescending or belittling.
Beautifully written and easily read this book is a MUST for anyone left behind or studying psychology and should be a compulsory read on every High School book list - it may even deter a few sucides!
Many thanks to Carla Fine for helping me through my darkest hour.

I found this book to be extremely helpful and comforting after the death of my husband 5 months ago by suicide. I would recommend this book to anyone else suffering through this type of pain.
Surviving the Suicide of a Friend.......2007-05-15
I bought this book for a very dear friend whose bi-polar disordered husband recently committed suicide, as I heard it was one of the best. I decided to read it myself first so I could try and better understand the situation so I could be the very best friend I could to my life-long childhood girlfriend. One thing I know will standout when she reads it is that she is not alone and there are far more in her exact situation than she has any idea of. There is a lot of positive information as well as hope for a future without the one that was lost. I know it helped me get through the immediate aftermath.
Helpful, human, but somewhat trivial.......2007-05-10
Although I appreciate the author's journey in the suicide of her husband, and sharing it with the reader, I found the writing to be repetitive and trivial. I don't know why it was important to state for each "story" she researched/ journalized to attach the person's occupation, for example -- a writing style which I find irrelevant -- one or two examples that may prove that suicide is possible from all walks of life may have sufficed.... Also the book is limited pretty much to a single citation which is persistently "marketed" throughout the book. The work does encourage the survivors of suicide to seek out support groups/ therapy which is paramount to this tragedy in anyone's life; and the encouraging sense of hope she eventually finds in her own journey may help most readers.

Book Description
Everything is going great for Suze. Her new life in California is a whirlwind of parties and excellent hair days. Tad Beaumont, the hottest boy in town, has even asked Suze out on her very first date. Suze is so excited that she's willing to ignore her misgivings about Tad... particularly the fact that he's not Jesse, whose ghostly status—not to mention apparent disinterest in her—make him unattainable.
What Suze can't ignore, however, is the ghost of a murdered woman whose death seems directly connected to dark secrets hidden in none other than Tad Beaumont's past.
Download Description
"There's no such thing as ghosts". At least, that's what the scientific community believes. High school sophomore Susannah Simon wishes she could agree. She's only lived in sunny California for two weeks, and already her life's a whirlwind of pool parties, excellent hair days, and new friends. Oh, yeah ... and her stepbrothers. But otherwise, things are going fab. Until the ghost of a dead woman shows up at her bedside, screaming and begging Suze to find "Red" and tell him that he isn't responsible for her death. Tracking down a murderer isn't exactly easy, especially when the clues that Suze pieces together lead straight to the father of Tad Beaumont, the cutest and richest boy in school ... and the first boy who's ever asked Suze out. Oops.

A Good Sequel.......2007-08-07
Book #2 in the Mediator series by Meg Cabot opens about a week after the first book ended. Suze, mediator at large, is suddenly visited in the middle of the night by a screaming ghost begging her to tell "Red" that she knows he didn't kill her. With a cryptic message like that, Suze checks around to find out who might be called Red, leading her to a prominent businessman and his hunky son, Tad. Delivering her message is easier said than done, and Suze becomes uneasy when she's rushed out of the strange home of Red Beaumont (even though she's definitely attracted to Tad). Imagine her surprise when the ghost reappears, accusing her of not delivering the message at all, and she runs into a second ghost who tells her Beaumont is responsible for HER death. What's going on? Does Suze have the right person? Is Red Beaumont a cold-blooded murderer? Is he a vampire? What about Jesse, the hot ghost living in her bedroom? Will Tad ask her out?
This is a very good sequel to the first book in this series. Suze is finding an ally in Father Dominic, a fellow mediator, and her circle of friends is growing in her new home. We also meet her father, a ghost who has traveled across the country to give his daughter advice. This story, while of course focusing on the mediator aspect, also brings Suze into a more complex mystery and shows us her survival skills outside of her ghostly talents. There's a pretty good twist towards the end, and the tension between Suze and Jesse is intensifying. This is a fun series, not meant to be taken too seriously, and I look forward to reading more. Surprisingly well done, if you enjoy paranormal romance and suspense, you'll definitely like this one.
Not very good, in my opinion.......2007-08-04
I really enjoyed the first book in the series, ( Shadowland (The Mediator, Book 1) ) it seemed unique enough. But this one... well first I'd like to point out that in this book Meg Cabot repeats a lot of things she said in the first book. I mean yes I suppose it's nice to make the books so you really dont have to start at the beginning of the series to understand what is going on, but there is a fine line between that, and repeating an ENTIRE PARAGRAPH WORD FOR WORD from the first book ( which Cabot DID do ). During most of this book it seemed to me that Meg Cabot just did not know what to write. It all seems like she just improvised, and, most of it is repeated stuff from Shadowland ( if not word for word, than the basic idea of it ). Thankfully, in the later books this doesnt happen so often, so if you can bare through this one, than the series is over all pretty interesting.
Also, it gets very annoying how obsessed Suze is with getting a boyfriend; like its the only thing that matters, ever. And how being a Mediator " Is so horrible Oh i just wish I was normal " ( This continues on throughout the series ).
Courtesy of Teens Read Too.......2007-07-22
After moving from her New York home to Carmel, California, Suze's life is finally looking up!
Her days are filled by parties and good hair days - what every teenage girl can relate to wanting. The only thing that Suze wants to change about herself is the fact that she can see ghosts who want to pass messages along to friends or family. She is a mediator.
Even though everything seems to be going her way, Suze has a ghost that seems to be connected to Tad Beaumont, the hottest guy in town, who also happens to have asked her out. Suze just can't understand what Tad and this ghost have to do with each other.
And then she meets Tad's father.
NINTH KEY is the second book in THE MEDIATOR series, following Shadowland (The Mediator, Book 1), and is a fun addition to your bookshelf. There is a good mix of ghosts, romance, and creepy characters! Another fun Meg Cabot book!

This is another great book by Cabot! I can't really say much except that it had a bunch of twists and turns. First all evidence says this guy was a killer, but WAIT no its this guy, WAIT it could be either...the whole book was like that. Exciting, different, and exactly what book lovers want. I LOVED it! I definately reccomend it!
a good book.......2006-06-28
This book is good a little scattered in places , and the plot is kinda all over the place but it still is a really good book.

Very helpful.........2007-07-22
This book is so healing because one picks it up again and again, just about every day, and little by little it does it's miraculous work, like an ointment.
Every aspect of the innumerable crazy things our minds seem to be filled with in the aftermath of a loss are to be found there.
The author has done an amazing job of listening to bereaved people, and describing the different mental and emotional states, with the resolutions and practices that go towards healing, so one is encouraged to climb out of the hole or pit in which one finds one's self.
The tone is compassionate and encouraging all the way.
My husband of 38 years died almost three months ago, and this little book has helped me enormously.
Short passages.......2007-05-26
I like the philosophy of short one page passages and thoughts, since I have a busy lifestyle. I pick up this book, before bed at night; during a break in mid day; or whenever I have a few free moments. Each page is written but a different person----some things apply to me, some don't, but it's easy to skip around. This book is not for someone looking for deep psychological help.
A Book that Deserves to be Shared..........2007-03-13
I turned to this book after the death of my mother, and it saved me from the depths of my sadness. I appreciated how it began in the early stages, and progressed through what one may be feeling as time passed since the death of a loved one. I found many, many pages that offered excellent insight - by the time I finished I'd turned down perhaps three quarters of the pages! I bought the book for my siblings, and have also given copies to friends who have lost loved ones. For those who use music to help grieve, the CD "Hiding Place" by the Christian group "Selah" was my other salvation - the songs are incredibly healing and seemed to speak straight to my heart as I was struggling. I highly recommend both this book and the CD.
A Time to Grieve.......2007-01-12
This was one of many books recommeded to us by Hospice for those who are grieving and have lost a loved one. It is excellent, and a book to keep nearby to pick up and read on any page and it is applicable to the reader.

A Thoughtful and Comforting Book.......2005-11-02
"The death of a loved one is, for most of us, the most profound emotional experience we will ever have to endure," writes Carol Staudacher in her book, A Time To Grieve. My dad died in 2001 and my brother died in 2002, and I was overwhelmed with grief.
I found this book to be truly comforting and reassuring. Each page provides a relevant quote to ponder, a short meditation on some aspect of grief, and an affirmation to help face the day. It helped me understand and accept my feelings. It helped me feel less alone. The book is easy to read, yet also addresses the many profound emotions of grief with great understanding.
I read many books on grief before I found this one. If you are suffering from grief and looking for a safe place to find comfort, I highly recommend this kind, insightful book.

Amazing.......2007-06-28
Shadowland by Mag Cabot is one of the best adventure books I have read in a long time. Suze Simon can see and talk to the dead, but only long enough to help resolve their unfinished business. Her mother has just remarried and has forced Suze to move from New York to California. All Suze wants is a chance to start over, away from her freak reputation caused by her ghostly dealings. That is hard to do, however, when she comes across two ghosts within a week; Jesse, the hot, hundred-fifty-year-old haunting her bedroom, and Heather, the teen ghost who is out for revenge, and Suze just happens to be in her way.
Shadowland is a fantastic book full of witty dialogue, action, adventure, suspense, and a hint of romance. The story has enough twists and turns to keep readers guessing until the end. The suspense will keep them reading into the night anticipating what might happen next. Overall, this was a terrific book that will lead readers straight into the second.
The first book..........2007-05-27
The story is about a girl, suze who is a mediator between the living and the dead. She moves from new york to sunny california to live with her mother and new stepfather. At first it looks prosperous and suze thinks she can start anew [ghost free] but soon realizes there are ghosts everywhere. Now this book had both some good and bad qualities to it. Let me start with the good. The story was very in depth and the idea is great. But theres some bad points to this also. The characters seemed a little 2-dimensional and a tad stereotypical. There were the jocks, the geeks, ect. You dont really find out about suze's past that much which leaves some questions. Overall it was a good book but also a forgetful one.

Why not help kids out a little bit?.......2007-01-09
Meg Cabot's books are great... it wasn't my favorite series ever but hey, they were still good. But I'm not writing about the books. I'm writing about the search pages. Yahoo, Amazon, Google, etc. they haven't been giving the list of characters. I have a report due tomorrow, and I read the book months ago... ( the teacher gave us a due date & then changed it til after Christmas)... I can't remember what that girl's ghost's name is... I mean come on... would it kill you to give a list of the main characters!!!! Grrrrrrrrrr! O, & by the way... that isn't my real e-mail address. :-P
One of the BEST series to hook reluctant teen readers!.......2006-12-01
I'm a librarian at a school for kids grades 2-12, and the Mediator series has had an amazing effect on our middle school/high school readers. I love to hook our students on series--that way, they know what they'll be reading next.
Combining action, adventure, the supernatural, a little romance and mystery, and a strong female main character, this series has it all! I've always had a difficult time getting my male students to read books with female main characters, but this series has broken that rule as well. The 1-800-WHERE-R-YOU series by Meg Cabot is a close second to this series and another great series for middle/high school students.

Such an awsome book the whole series is great everyone who loves romance action all in one should read!
A Ghostly Good Read!!.......2007-03-08
I really enjoyed reading this book. It has lots of great details. When Susannah found out about this murder, she just had to investigate it. With the help of Father Dom and Jesse she finally got the killer but was put into hospital. It would help if you read the first two books or else you will get really confused with all the names and places. This book has lots of twists and turns and will keep you reading. You won't want to put it down!
OMG! what a GREAT book!!!!!.......2007-02-11
whoa!! this book is SO amazing! it's about this girl, suze, and her supposed boyfriend, michael meducci, and he could be a possible killer of the RLS angels! he has had a grudge against them and only for one reason that he could be able to kill them; jealousy! jesse and father dominic have helped out quite a bit but not enough that suze ends up in the hospital! i HIGHLY recommend this book! and i cannot wait to read the next one!!!!
The Mediator 3: Reunion.......2006-12-21
The Mediator 3: Reunion is about Suze Simon, a fifteen-year-old girl with a very special gift, she can speak to those beyond the grave. Awesome, right? Wrong. Ghosts aren't always the most cooperative people. So, when Suze tries to help four teenage ghosts that were in a car accident, they aren't very thankful, unless you'd say that trying to kill her is a proper "thank you". However, Suze will find out some secrets about someone she never thought would keep them from her and that this car accident might not have been an accident at all.
This book teaches readers always to be happy with who they are. Suze has to try to accept that she is a mediator and has to adapt to being haunted every day of her life. She's spunky and her attitude is as unpredictable as the weather but she's also very generous and always willing to help. It really shows people how we take everyday things for granted.
Meg Cabot does an extraordinary job with this book with a perfect balance of mystery, teen troubles, and family issues. It takes you deep into Suze's life and feelings. I couldn't pry my fingers off of it. The Mediator is an amazing series and I've read most of them, but this one was by far my favorite. So, if you like suspense and surprises, you'll love The Mediator 3: Reunion.
okay.......2006-04-21
This book was interesting to me and usually I don't read books like this but it is appealing. I like the characters and the style of writing that meg cabot uses. But I just didn't like the way the ending turned out but I still want to read the rest of the series.

the best of the series ... so far.......2006-07-12
I love this book , and I love the character Jesse. This book is nothing but nonstop action and thrills , and some parts are so sad , and how Suze does to get Jesse back is certainly is unexpected. Although the new character Paul is very intriguing and I like his character , I can't wait to read the next book to find out about him.And I love the ending . Meg cabot really undone herself this time!
The Mediator .......2006-04-24
The fourth book of the series The Mediator did not fail to deliver a great and wonderful thrill. Susannah is still trying to live a normal teenage life without any ghosts interfering, besides Jesse her ghost friend that haunts her room. Susannah soon finds out its going to be harder than she thought, when she discovers a young boy who is a mediator just like herself. Things also get worse when she discovers that the young kid's brother Paul has a crush on Susannah.
While she is trying to deal with all this stuff, her stepbrothers accidentally dig up Jesse's dead body in their backyard. Since Jesse's body was discovered Jesse has no reason to stick around in the real world and gets sent to the ghost world. Now Susannah wants to bring Jesse back to the real world, but when Susannah finds out that Jesse was killed by his girlfriend many years ago, Jesse's girlfriend comes back from the dead to try to stop Susannah from finding out anything else. How is Susannah going to get Jesse back and deal with everything that's going on at the same time? Read the book to find out
I loved this book this was the best book of the series so far, because it added new enemies that Susannah has to worry about. I liked this book and would recommend it to anyone who likes mystery and action books. I would also tell them to read the whole series first because they are all good books.

WORLD-RENOWNED BESTSELLING AUTHOR CARLOS CASTANEDA'S SELECTION OF HIS WRITINGS ON THE SHAMANS OF ANCIENT MEXICO
Near the end of his life, Carlos Castaneda gathered together and reviewed his seminal works on his training as a shaman initiate, recorded in a literary career that spans over thirty years. The result is this groundbreaking collection of quotations -- the essence of Carlos Castaneda, drawn from his landmark volumes including The Teachings of Don Juan, Journey to Ixtlan, A Separate Reality, and Tales of Power. Enhanced with an introduction and original commentary by the author, this powerful work illuminates the shaman's life as never before. Castaneda's words explore how the ancient shamans could literally touch and direct the wheel of time -- a profound yet pragmatic tradition that can be felt even in our day.
Customer Reviews:
Ending with a golden clasp.......2007-10-01
Carlos Castaneda was told by Don Juan to end the lineage with a 'golden clasp'. In terms of CC's writings that is exactly what this book does. It is a distillation of the most meaningful quotes from Don Juan and is a carefully crafted conclusion to his writings, his final message. No more stories just the abstract.
Though I have read and re-read Castaneda for 30 years I found this a must read.
Compilation book.......2007-06-06
This book is a compilation book for the series on the mastery of intent.. which includes: fire from within, power of silence, and the art of dreaming.
Anyone who shrugs off the compilation books like Ive seen done - is clueless. This book is not a 'Waste of money" to a real warrior, this book is priceless.
Any one with enough awareness will figure this out on their own. :D
Fishing lure for New Agers.......2005-12-27
I have read all of Castaneda's books. I was introduced to them by my husband, a real life Warrior. When I first opened the book, I thought: This is jus a cut and paste work of someone who inherited the rights to his royalties.
Then my husband pointed out at the countless times the book has the word "shaman" in it.
That doesn't sound like Castaneda at all! The only time he used "Shaman" was in "The teachings of Don Juan" and (this is a rough quote from memory) it was to say: "Don Juan was what antropologists call a shamman, but he prefers to be called a sorcerer or a man of knowledge" and never used the S word again in his books.
Waste of money if you already have the books. This is just a water down version, made palatable for New Agers, so that they can buy all the other books.
One of several paths of widsom.......2005-02-25
This is a collection of wisdom gathered from North American natives. It is just as profound as the more well-known eastern paths (Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, etc.). Central is the image of the Warrior: one that sees, not just looks, one whose intentions and goals are clear. A bit like Japanese samurai. They look for the stable and constant, they are not interested in the fleeting. A Warrior is similar to a Nietschzean superhuman in that the striving is a goal in itself; whenver a goal is achieved the Warrior does not dwell but moves on. All actions must be firmly rooted in reality.
As in all paths of wisdom there are seeming contradictions: Warriors should understand what is really going on around them, but should not be lost in introspection. Maybe it is so that a Warrior must have the ability to extract the important from the important. There are many quotes that will help the wanderer.
Brilliant!!!.......2004-08-14
'The Wheel of Time' is simply beautiful! As a collection of excerpts from Castaneda's previous works, it does well in preserving the power and force of the philosophy and way of living Castaneda presents to us. It is an excellent and appealing introduction to the Way of the Warrior, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique, uplifting, and refreshing read.
