Book Description
The story of Ruis Elder -- a man without psi powers on a world where they are prized. An outcast, Ruis must overcome all society to survive, pursue his passion for restoring ancient Earth technology, and win his love -- Judge Ailim D'SilverFir.
Customer Reviews:
Not as good as the first.......2007-04-16
The story wasn't as good as the first. The characters were flat. The uncle is just pure evil. You aren't given any background on him-just statements about the evil things he does. Also the relationship between the two main characters isn't well developed. The two seem to just fall in love at first sight. I wish Owens would have developed the characters and their relationships more. I thought the heroine took a lot of chances for a man she just meet.
Let's Go Play!.......2006-09-27
I adore this novel not just because of Ruis Elder and Ailim D'Silverfir, but mainly because of that adorable Famcat, SAMBA. SAMBA is fat and sassy, the daughter of ZANTH, and she zips around in her own flying saucer. How can you not just adore that.
The story is about the redemption of Ruis, who is shunned for being a Null and the gracious and intelligent woman that compliments him, Ailim.
I love how Robin developed the relationship between Ruis and Ailim. He needs her because she accepts and values him, she values him because he helps her control her powerful, sometimes overwhelming ability to empathize with the people around her. Ailim is also a judge so she gets to sense the feelings and perception of sometimes the gruesome elements of their society.
The balance Ruis and Ailim achieve from their love is the very heart of this tale, which is why I really loved reading this book. Add to that a sassy, fun Famcat and you have a definite winner.
Wonderful book with a beautifully written world & characters.......2005-04-23
I purchased this book after reading Ms. Owens first book "Heart Mate". This book mixes sci-fi/fantasy and romance together, which makes it a great combo for me, as I enjoy reading both genres. I think this is a beautifully written story rich in detail of the world Ms. Owens has created. I enjoyed reading the first book and I enjoyed this one even more.
OUTSTANDING!!! .......2005-04-21
Absolutely could not put Heart Thief down. Read it in less than 24 hours. This is a book that sparked my interest on page 1, and continued to build throughout the book. Thanks Robin D. Owens. Heart Duel (book #3)is on the table calling to me
Robin's best Heart book!.......2004-08-29
Heart Thief is a follow up to the brilliant HeartMate. (Heart Duel is next in the series and i hope to see a long line of Heart books ahead!!) It stands alone, but one has the purest thrill reading them in order. Owens took Ancient Celt-pagan lore & projected it on her imaginary planet of Celta. Centuries ago, Earth-travellers left on 3 ships and stumbled onto a world they called Celta. People of the original families arrived with "Flair", witchcraft or magick, and over the centuries these powers have been refined, amplified. Each person is born with power, which 'specialness' their talents that set them on their course in careers, and if lucky, reveals their HeartMate. Born of 13 royal houses, people of with Flair rule Celta.
In HeartMate, Ruis Elder was the thief who first stole, and then returned, the HeartGift T'Ash had made for his HeartMate. Ruis Elder is arrested for this and other thefts, but he was only using the gems he stole to repair machines the original settlers brought with them from Earth. Ruis finds solace and sanity in repairing these long neglected devices. He tries to pretend he does not care; he is a Null and knows his arrest could end with his death.
Ruis has been hunted by his Uncle Baucus T'Elder. Ruis was the Heir to the House of Elder, but after the death of his father and mother, it is discovered he is a Null. Baucus uses this to rob Ruis of his birthright. Baucus is a villain of the first class. He tortured Ruis as a child, and has murdered to secure his rise to Captain of the FirstFamilies. And he wants Ruis dead, for only then will he rest secure in his hold on the House of Elder.
Ailim D' SilverFir is a Judge of Celta. She assumed the head of her house upon her mother's death. She is a Telempath, who uses her ability to read others thoughts to judge those brought before her. But she has to go before the FirstFamily Council, to beg for a loan because her house is in peril. She is so tired for it's hard to always hear the thoughts of others, to know their inner most feelings. Especially when her family is so selfish, greedy and fights her in everything.
While she waits to be called concerning the status on her loan request to save her House, she is surprised by the man waiting sentencing. Ruis Elder brings her peace. She recognises he is a Null, but instead of being fearful or repulsed, she finds his Nullness gives her tranquillity. With him, she does not have to expend the vast Flair energy just to protect herself from the constant intrusion of everyone's thoughts. Since his Null void stops the powers of everyone around him, she finds a haven of peace when she is with Ruis.
With FamKitty flying around on a mini saucer, a spaceship to make HAL jealous, characters from the first novel, and a potent, sexy forbidden romance between Ruis and Ailim, Owen scores BIG with another Winner! HeartMate was just so original, so special it was hard to envision a writer pulling off a second tour de force and make it as marvellous. Most movies and books with sequels, witness the sequels rarely matching the freshness, the spark of brilliance of the original. That is NOT the case with Heart Thief. If anything, it's even better! Eagerly waiting Heart Duel ( Faster Robin! Cannot wait!!)

So very good........2007-07-27
I very much enjoyed this book. I love the style of writing, and how the characters developed. I love the interaction of the characters, and the strength of each individual. The tale is vivid, the emotions of the hero and heroine so very well defined you find your own heart is aching, and throat tightening. I wish I'd never read the book solely for the purpose that I could pick it up anew!
A Knight to remember..........2007-05-07
Actually I would rate this romance 4 1/2 stars. You can read the plot line from above description. I agree with the higher rated readers on this one. The plot of the story kept you interested with all its twists and turns. Both main characters possess integrity, loyalty, respect, and genuine affection for the people of the castle and each other. A few places the plot was slow and repetative however the overall chemistry of the main characters made this book shine !
Wonderful romance with intrigue and adventure... too bad about the historical inaccuracies!.......2007-03-20
I have said in other reviews that I love stories centered on pirates because they promise action and adventure as well as romance. Teresa Medeiros's Thief of Hearts has this and a whole lot more. Yet in spite of the wonderful story, I was pulled out of it whenever I encountered a glaring historical inaccuracy, but more on that later. Lucinda Snow has spent her whole life wanting to please her father, the aloof and arrogant Admiral Lucien Snow, so that he could bestow a little affection upon her. She believes she may have achieved some of her wishes when he appears to be concerned for her safety after she is abducted by Captain Doom, a menacing pirate looking to destroy her father. Despite her reserves, she is attracted to the pirate, and holds a secret fancy for him. But when her new bodyguard, Mr. Gerard Claremont, appears in her life, she is confused. Gerard is enigmatic and sensual, yet she is unable to completely forget about the elusive Captain Doom. Who does she love?
I liked the development of the story and the sexual tension between the protagonists. Gerard sounded delicious and I loved how his character was developed. There were no surprises regarding his real identity, but I suspect that it wasn't meant to be a surprise. Smythe was another fascinating character and his affection and loyalty for Lucy are very touching. Lucy, though annoying through most of the book, is well developed and shows her fair share of complexities as well, which surprised me in a pleasant way. I get tired of simpering, one-dimensional heroines and Lucy is definitely not like that. The weak link here is her father, who was a cardboard cutout villain at best. The story flows nicely and there are some wonderful romantic scenes mingled with plausible conflict. I was enthralled whenever I wasn't hit in the face with some inaccuracy. The author got some of the information regarding Bonaparte wrong, or at least some of the events happened after the setting of this novel, which is set in 1802. The most glaring error for me was the scene where Gerard and Lucy dance the Viennese waltz at the masquerade ball. They were dancing something that hadn't been introduced in England until 1816, which was recorded to have been the first time people danced the waltz in England for a party in honor of the Prince Regent. And even then people were scandalized by it and seldom danced it at parties and balls. Medeiros brought up the quadrille as well, which had also been introduced in England long after 1802. I know country dances aren't as romantic as the waltz, for they hardly involved touching, which is why authors should set the novel at a later date if they want the protagonists dancing to it. Medeiros did bring up the fact that the waltz was frowned upon, but I doubt anyone danced to it before its introduction. Also, given how strict the English were in terms of propriety and the need for chaperones, Gerard and Lucy spent far too much time alone together, and they didn't bother to hide that fact for most of the time. Medeiros tried to explain this by pointing out that Gerard was only a servant and therefore not in equal terms. I could buy into that. After all, it would only be scandalous if a lady and a gentleman, both unmarried, were alone together, but there is a scene in this novel that would have caused quite a scandal, but no one batted a single eyelid. Another thing I didn't like was that she lived alone with her father, not one female relative or a governess in the house. Sorry, but I didn't buy the author's reasoning in those scenes. Anyway, I would have given the novel five stars had it not been for those mistakes. I almost feel compelled to give it three stars, but I enjoyed the rest of the book too much to give it a lower rating. I may give Teresa Medeiros a whirl again. She is a great writer -- she just has to pay more attention to historical detail.
Thief of Hearts....Wonderful Book!.......2006-06-14
Thief of Hearts by Teresa Medeiros is a wonderful read! (I really rate is as 4 1/2 stars) The characters and the storyline are beautifully written. The book if full of adventure, romance, suspence and it keeps you guessing. Once I started this book I could not put it down until it was finished. (Literally, I was up till 6AM just to see how it would end.) For anyone who likes alittle bit of romance, pirates, and adventure, Theif of Hearts is a MUST read!!!!!
First for me.......2005-09-20
I'm not one to read romance or historical novels. So never in a million years did I think I would ever read a historical romance. I went with a friend of mine to a book signing. As I sat there and listened to her talk...I felt compelled to read at least one of her books because she seemed like a very passionate person about her writing.
My friend recommended reading this book, since it had pirates in it (and she knows I love all things pirate). So I picked it up the night of the book signing and I am sure glad I did. This book is so vivid and detailed that I could picture the characters in my mind. The story kept me hooked from beginning to end. I was sad to finish it up, b/c I really enjoyed it.
I can't wait to read some of her other works. I hope they are as great as Thief of Hearts was.

Loads of Excitement,.......2005-09-10
If reading this hot series is torture, then...CHAIN ME TO THE WALL! What an amazing storyline the Lambert series is! I couldn't devour the four books fast enough.
I was realed into the scheme of things from page one and completely captivated throughout all four books.
I thought the characters were exciting and real, the dialogue keep me contentedly turning the pages, and the plot had me on pins and needles until the final page of the last book had been read. Take my word for it "Thief of Hearts," is a good time and so are the remaining books that comprise the "Lambert" series. I look forward to reading Ms. Murray's newest novel, "The Shadow of Her Smile." I just ordered it from Amazon and can hardly wait for it to arrive.
Fantastic series.......2005-09-01
I ordered this one, read it, and had to have the next three in the Lambert series. What great characters! What a great mystery - and it takes you four books to resolve it. Talk about suspense! Ms. Murray can count me a fan. I've ordered her next book - Shadow of Her Smile - and cannot wait to dive into that one.

did i say this book is yummy? from page one i was hooked on this story. the lambert series has it all, and myabe even a little more. check all four book in this "steamy" series out. your honey will be happy you did!
Loved the playful characters in this soap,.......2005-08-25
I cannot decide if I like Nouri Sommers with her nutty husband Ethan or her one-time love Clint Chamberlain. I can hardly wait to get started on the second book in this 'hot' series!
5 stars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why ?.......2005-08-23
This is a BAD book.In EVERY respect. In one 15 page section she uses the words squirm, squirmed, and squirming 11 times. During the same 15 pages her lead female character calls someone "mister funny man", mister question man", "mister smart man", "mister fashion man", "mister chef man ", "mister attorney man", and "bucko". Who talks this way ? The book never improves. Finally she just stops writing. There is no conclusion.

Book Description
"Why would anyone want to tear out someone's heart?"
That's the very real question facing college freshman Jenna Blake, and it has nothing to do with romance and heartbreak. A second grisly murder mystery is unfolding at Somerset University, and her job as a pathology assistant at the local hospital brings Jenna too close to the haunting crimes.
Everyone has a theory on the nature of the killings, including Jenna's older half-brother, Pierce Logan, who's new in town and has some odd ideas about why someone would want to steal a human heart.
Meanwhile, Jenna begins working on her own heart when she meets a fascinating older man. But there's little time for dating when the Thief of Hearts declares Somerset the perfect hunting ground -- and someone very close to Jenna is the prey.
Download Description
Body of Evidence Master sleuth Jenna Blake investigates the third killing in recent weeks in which the heart is torn out of the corpse. When her friends become the target, Jenna finds that her chief suspect hits a little too close to home. The series is based on real cases and emphasizes the use of science-based problem solving.
Customer Reviews:
Jenna Blake is Back.......2006-02-03
After Jenna Blake's very eventful first week at Somerset University in Masachusetts (BODY BAGS) which included politically motivated killings and attempts on her life, it would be hard to believe that college could get even more complicated. But in THIEF OF HEARTS, it does just that, and in true style!
Jenna's been at college for a month now, getting into the rythm of classes, friendship (with her roommate Yoshiko, best friend Melody, and Melody's brother Hunter), and a renewed relationship with her father, Professor Logan, who teaches at the school. Now, her half-brother, Pierce, has shown up to spend his thirty-day leave from the Marine Corps with their father, and Jenna is thrilled. She hasn't seen her much older brother in years, and she's looking forward to renewing their relationship.
There's a problem though--more murders start happening on and around campus, just about the time Pierce shows up in Somerset. And Jenna's doubly dismayed when she assists in the first autopsy as part of her job with the Medical Examiner's office, and realizes that these murders are particularly grisly. Whoever is killing men and women around Somerset isn't just murdering them, but taking their hearts.
As the suspense builds--Pierce becomes a suspect of local detectives Audrey Gaines and Danny Mariano; Jenna and her friends just might be in danger--the book picks up speed. I read THIEF OF HEARTS in one sitting, much the same way I did with the first book in the series, Body Bags: A Body of Evidence Thriller #1).
This is a great series for readers of all ages who are interested in forensic work. Highly recommended, and I can't wait to get started on the next book in the series.
****SPOILER***** ******SPOILER****** *****SPOILER******
Christopher Golden threw me for a loop with this story, with the death of a major character. It definitely added to the sense of urgency in finding the killer, but I admit I was shocked! Just don't be surprised if you find yourself caught up in the shock, sadness, and sense of desperation that this story brings!
Better than Body Bags.......2005-02-03
Just when you think it couldn't get any better than Body Bags, this second book in the BOE series keeps fans on the edge of their seats. Jenna's adventures in Thief of Hearts is one that will keep her scarred for a long time, but she uses this experience to fuel her and the other obstacles and puzzles that she faces. A must read!!!
Fantastic Teen Thriller.......2003-12-22
When Somerset University freshman, and pathology assistant, Jenna Blake, faces a new murder mystery plaguing the student population of Somerset, she realizes just how close she's being brought to the haunting crimes. Everyone has strange, yet possible theories involving the crimes, including Jenna's half-brother, Pierce Logan, the new guy in town. Meanwhile, Jenna begins having feelings towards an older man, which are abruptly interrupted, when the Thief of Hearts begins hunting on Somerset's campus, and someone very close to Jenna is his prey.
I was skeptical about THIEF OF HEARTS, as I thought that it could never outdo the previous book in the series, BODY BAGS. I was completely wrong. THIEF OF HEARTS is a fantastic, hold onto your seat, thrill ride, that brings you up close and personal with grizzly murders, and the procedures the officials use to solve the case, both in the medical examiner's office, and the police department. Fans of BODY BAGS will find that THIEF OF HEARTS, while being a sequel, is both terrifying and engrossing, and will find it hard to put it down until the very last page is turned. A must-have for everyone, except the faint of heart.

An excellent book!!!.......2003-08-01
This was an amazing book. I stumbled apon Body Bags at my local B&N and thought, "Well, this is O.K., not excellent but o.k." and I thought nothing of it and thin a few days ago I found this book and LOVED it. it was entertaining all the way through! Not a single spot of bordom.
If you liked this book and you want to try another good murder mystery, I would recommend The Kindaichi Case Files: The Opera House Murders.
Impressive.......2002-11-18
After reading Body Bags, I went straight to the store and purchased this one and finished it the same day. This book was well done by Christopher Golden, with exceptional character developement in Jenna, Hunter, and Pierce. This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys mystery, horror, or suspense and who also has a cast-iron stomach . . . these books tend to be a little disturbing. Even so, Golden is a wonderful author and I can't wait to read Soul Survivor.

Customer Reviews:
Thief of Hearts.......2006-12-04
Thief of Hearts by Laurence Yep is a book based on heart warming tales and mixed-race characters within the novel. As Yep had once said, "Probably the reason why much of my writing has found its way to a teenage audience is that I'm always pursuing the theme of being an outsider -- an alien -- and many teenagers feel they're aliens."
Since this book contains an outsider named Hong Ch'un, i believe that many people will enjoy reading this novel and will be able to compare their real life experiences with the character in the book. I truly recommend this novel to people who had troubles on their first day at school, to some people who have troubles reassuring their life and to people who had once came across problems that were hard to face for them.
Hearts that have been stolen.......2005-03-02
Thief of Hearts is about a girl named Stacey whose father works with a man from China Mr. Wang. Mr. Wang's daughter Hong Chun is from China and she is very rude to Stacey in the beginning. Stacey is part American and part Chinese. She gets her mother's Asian eyes and gets her fathers blond hair. Hong Chun and Stacey start to fight verbally in the car ride on the way to school. Stacey and Hong Chun have to share lockers, go to the same classes and have the same lunch period together. After lunch they start to become nicer to each other and walk back to Stacey's locker. But when Stacey opens her locker she sees all the stuff that her friends have been looking for. During the day Stacey's friends Jeff and Sylvia have lost their precious belongings. They blame Hong Chun and for stealing their things. So Hong Chun runs away to china town and Stacey her mother must find her. I like this book because it shows about the Chinese culture and how you shouldn't judge someone on there appearances.
The Theif of Hearts multicultural book!.......2004-03-12
The Thief of Heart multicultural book!
Stacey's dad works with at a company with a Chinese guy, Mr. Wang. His daughter, Hong Ch'un, is the same age as Stacey. Before school starts, they meet. Stacey has to show Hong Ch'un around the school and they have to share a locker. When Hong Ch'un and Stacey go to their locker after school to pack up, Hong Ch'un finds something that doesn't belong to her in her backpack. Well, Jeff and Sylvia (Stacey's friends) had lost something that day. Jeff lost a wound up kangaroo and Sylvia lost a good luck charm. Now everyone blames her for stealing their things, but she really didn't. How would you feel if you were blamed for something that you didn't do? I would feel very upset and mad. Then Hong Ch'un ran away to go back to Chinatown where she lived. After they found out that Hong Ch'un was gone, Stacey, her mom, Casey, and her mom, Tai-Paw went looking for her. When they got to Chinatown, they went to Mr. Jeh's house. He sent faxes and he made phone calls to people to keep an eye out for Hong Ch'un. Do you think they will find Hong Ch'un? I think they will. Will they find out who really stole Jeff and Sylvia's things that they lost? They might find out who stole the stuff, but it depends on who it is though. I did like it because it teaches you not to steal things from people because it hurts their feelings and makes you feel guilty. If you like different cultural books, then you would like this book.
Thief of Hearts.......2003-03-11
I can't say it was something I liked, that would be a lie. I thought it was dull and pointless, except for the legend. I would have to give this book a three star rating because NOTHING happens. For those who like to read real life exaggerated, go ahead, I'm just not the type. On with the story. Stacy was your average middle school, having lots of friends and a little trouble at home. Everything is shifted around though when a friend of her dad's, Mr. Wong, and his family from China comes to live in the United States. As soon as Stacy meets his only daughter Hong Ch'un trouble starts and are annoying each other after five minutes. At school after lunch and a miserable morning Hong Ch'un is found with little knick-nacks that are worthless except from the people that lost them. The book Thief of Hearts is about a half Chinese half American girl that is very popular at school until another Chinese girl comes to her school. The new Chinese girl's name is Hong Ch'un and is very protective of herself so no one liked her. When special things are stolen from people at school and turn up in Hong Ch'un's backpack, everyone blames her of being the thief until Stacy stands up for her then everyone started thinking that she was no different from Hong Ch'un. Both Hong Ch'un and Stacy's feelings are hurt but they plan to find the real thief. So Stacy's Tai-Paw makes up a trick to get the real thief. Stacy finds out that the real thief was Karen (one of her friends) and has her apologize for everything.
I liked this book because it teaches about friendship and family.
The part about friendship that I liked was when Stacy went back to school the next day and found out whom the real thief was. After the water fight with Jeff Stacy realized that the heart pin given to her from Tai-Paw was gone. The pin had a substance on it that if you touched it, it would make a exploding noise and leave color on your fingers that wouldn't come off. She ran into bathrooms looking for someone washing their hand with a stain on them. She finally found Karen in the janitor's bathroom. Stacy found out why and instead of hating Karen she learned to treat all her friends equally." And suddenly Karen was crying and hugging me."
The part that I liked about family is when Stacy realized that her mom was learning to understand Stacy. After Stacy's mom came back from sending Hong Ch'un home, she told Stacy to go to bed. Stacy didn't want to so her mom told her not to stay up too late. "I jumped up from my chair. "Mom?" When she had turned around, I hugged her. "Thanks."" They finally started to understand each other and stop fighting and that's how a real family is supposed to act.
My favorite part of the book is when Stacy and Hong Ch'un finally become friends. Everyone at school found out that the thief really was Karen so they started to like Hong Ch'un. After school that day Hong Ch'un went up to Stacy and said thank you. When she asked what she could do to repay Stacy, Stacy said to forgive Karen and try to be her friend. So Hong Ch'un said that she would and that she wanted to be Stacy's friend too. So in the end everything turned out great.

I can understand why the ratings very..........2003-12-14
I liked the plot of this story a lot. It was a bit of a slow read and I found myself considering not finishing it but I must admit there were areas of the story line that I wanted to find out about sooooo I had to keep at it. And it did get better.
Actually I loved John Brodie. He was full of fun (p.. and vinegar as mom would say) but I didn't much like the heroine of the piece. She started out so stuffy and boring. She needed someone like John to lighten her up. As one reviewer mentioned John was romantically aggressive BUT I didn't find it offensive because he truly cared about Anna and showed it in many tender ways. If the plot appeals to you than this will be a good read for you.
Not Gaffney's best, but still worth a read.......2002-01-24
Nicholas, Anna's husband of only a few hours, is murdered on the night of their honeymoon, and, as it turns out, was apparently involved in some shady dealings involving Anna's family's ship-building business and illegal transactions with the Confederate Army during America's Civil War (this story taking place in England).
Anna is urged to pretend John Brodie (Nicholas's twin brother, a prisoner awaiting death for a murder he, of course, did not commit) is really her new husband, until Nicholas's murderer is found.
Brodie finds himself beguiled by his twin's bride, but Anna resents his hints that Nicholas was not as perfect as she'd like to believe. Soon, however, the attraction between Anna and Brodie becomes undeniable.
Anna is a likable heroine; smart, kind, and average-looking. Brodie is darkly handsome and very sensual, bitter and hardened, but with a more refined persona lurking within, needing only Anna's feminine touch and loving encouragement to surface. The problem I had with him, however, was that he exuded just a little too much machismo for my taste. There are a couple of attempted seduction scenes that were rather aggressive, and I was left to wonder why Anna didn't clock him!
The sub-plot of the mystery of Nicholas's nefarious dealings is interesting, though not quite up to snuff compared to some of Gaffney's other books.
Enthralling, Emotionally Exhausting, and a Fantastic Time!!.......2001-05-31
This was my first book by Patricia and if it wasn't her best book, then I'm WAY behind in my reading! How have I missed this wonderful author? Her story wasn't just the typical love story - this book combined mystery and intrigue from several directions with a surprise ending and blended it all together with a love story that has you laughing or crying one minute and spitting the next. Don't miss it!
Thief of Heart.......2000-07-18
Thief of Hearts is a story of a recently married woman whose father owns a ship building business. Her husband is murdered on her wedding day and this is how the story begins. The authorities have been investigating him and believe he was selling English ships to the Confederacy. In order to help authorities find the murderer, she must go along with a plot that will convince everyone involved that her husband did not die. To accomplish this, they enlist the aid of the dead husband's brother, who is locked in jail and awaiting death for a crime he claims he did not commit. I loved the plot, admired the heroine since she is intelligent, courageous and motivated. I also liked the fact that the romance is developed not because she is an extremely beautiful woman as in most cases, but because the romance is based on the hero's actions of kindness and caring for the heroine and vice versa.
Not Patricia Gaffney's best.......1999-03-13
I've read almost all of Patricia Gaffney's books and find her a wonderful author. So far my favorite by Patricia Gaffney is Sweet Everlasting. Thief of Hearts was a good story, but not my favorite by Patricia Gaffney. I did enjoy reading the story, but Anna and John's story was a little slow and boring at times. This book took me a long time to read, which isn't typical. When Anna's husband Nick is murdered on their wedding night, his twin brother John Brodie steps in to try to find his murderer, and to try to determine if he is behind a plot to sell ships to the Confederate Army. Needless to say, Anna and John fall in love, Anna realizes that Nick only married her for her money, and of course John is accused of murder. I can't say it wasn't a good book, but I was a little bored.

Cute!.......2003-08-29
I saw a TV-movie and was told this was the author of that tale---this is not. But I kept reading because I thought this
story was even better! Jordan Tavistock thought he would do a friend a favor and [borrow] some racy love-letters, saving his friend from mortal embarrassment. Yet he shocked to find that he
was not the only thief when he met up with Diana Lamb.
Super characters, a great run of passion and tension and twists.
Here, the book is still being passed around to be enjoyed.
