Book Description
Retire Secure! tackles the number one fear facing most IRA and retirement plan owners: running out of money too soon. Lange, a nationally recognized IRA expert, offers specific and practical strategies to successfully navigate the three stages of retirement planning: accumulation, distribution, and estate planning.
Retire Secure! explains the tax advantages and long term wealth building strategies of selectively and strategically putting money into IRAs, Roth IRAs, 401(k)s, Roth 401(k)s and the myriad other retirement plan options available to individuals working in the corporate world, the non-profit sector, as well as individual proprietors. The book proves that putting money into tax advantaged retirement plans beats “traditional saving” in the after-tax environment.
The book sheds new light on best practices for spending your IRA and retirement plan dollars and your traditional savings. Many readers will be surprised to discover that the order in which assets are spent is not a trivial consideration—it can make or break the bank.
It also outlines Lange’s exceptional estate plan–a plan that has been featured in the
Wall Street Journal and many other fine financial journals.
The book offers financial planning strategies and tactics in plain English that everyone can understand—and using humor and interesting characters in real life situations the book escapes the dreaded dry financial tome tone. For example, Chapter 1 offers a great mini case study that charts the financial destiny of Mr. Pay Taxes Later and Mr. Pay Taxes Now. Both start saving when they are age 30, but when Mr. Pay Taxes Now reaches age 90, he is broke, while Mr. Pay Taxes Later has $1,946,949 left. Chapter 8 is devoted to a complete case study of “Eddie’s and Emily’s” entire retirement decision making process.
The book is endorsed by more than 31 leading financial experts including
Charles Schwab, and
Roger G. Ibbotson, Yale Professor and perhaps the world’s foremost authority on asset allocation. As a bonus, readers who purchase this book can receive a free information-packed CD.
"
Retire Secure! is your playbook for winning the retirement game and beyond. It shows you how to capitalize on little known provisions of the tax law that will make your retirement savings last several lifetimes, leveraging your hard earned money into a family legacy. Best of all, you can rely on the advice here since it is written by one of the nation's leading retirement tax planning authorities.”
Ed Slott, Author Parlay Your IRA into a Family Fortune and

Excellent book on financial planing and retirement.......2007-06-12
Bravo!
This book is a must read if you're planning to retire wealthy, or at least securely.
And...
Every college student should be required to study this book carefully if they want to avoid all the common mistakes and money pitfalls that 98% of us fall into. I wish I had read this when I was in college... I would be $100,000 wealthier.

What everyone needs to read and understand to make the best retirement decisions.......2007-01-03
James Lang has had so much excellent advice for my husband and me that we purchased 7 copies for our adult children and are hopeful they will benefit from the knowledge in the books and cds.
Retire Secure-Solid Advice For All.......2006-10-21
Reading "Retire Secure" will not alone make you rich. However, if you read and follow Mr. Lange's advice, you will build wealth and then protect it to the fullest extent possible. The book outlines a very clear path to maximize savings using the most effective vehicle available to you. Then it goes on to provide a thorough roadmap to minimizing your tax consequences and maximizing your after tax returns. Finally the book provides several different strategies for passing along wealth to your heirs while once again factoring in the greedy hands of Uncle Sam. The author not only provides you with the theory, as many financial planners do, but backs up his recommendations with solid proofs and confirms them with amusing case studies. Overall this book is an excellent source for information on the use of retirement funds for wealth building and hopefully inheritance to pass on.
Good for Advisors and Investors.......2006-10-11
James Lange's Retire Secure, offers great techniques to help persons planning for retirement. He is on the right track - to postpone and minimize the impact of taxes - in order to maximize the retiree's money and extend the spendable income. This book makes a valuable contribution to the field of personal finance - for both the consumers and the professional advisors who serve them.
My Roadmap.......2006-09-19
I find James Lange's book to be excellant. When we want to go someplace we're not familiar with, who uses MapQuest? Why? It gives us the starting point and the ending point. This book gives so much valuable information. I'll be retiring in 10 to 11 years, so my interest is quite serious. I stumbled accross Mr. Lange's website and find that to also be a fine source of information. As a 'boomer' I'm amazed at what the internet has done for our culture i.e. sharing of information.

Fabric Gifts book contents & my thoughts.......2007-08-09
First of all, this is not a how-to-sew book, or even a sewing book, so I don't think it should be reviewed as one. If you're looking for sewing clothes or home decor projects, there are plenty of others to look into. The title says it all: this is a book about making fabric gifts in a short amount of time using a variety of techniques. It will appeal to beginners who want learn new fabric crafting skills, and people who already have skills but are in a hurry.
--Book Contents--
The projects:
* less than 1 hour: bias blossom, coat sleeve bag, tie pouch, corduroy change purse, fabric belt, fabric envelopes, felt rabbits, fabric covered notebook, quick dish towl, bark cloth baby bib, cat toy.
* 1-2 hours: recycled sweater hats, cotton knit animals, felted rocks, fringed quest towels, patchwork pillow, red cross appliqued pillow, travel pouch.
* 2-3 hours: silk-trimmed wool blanket, hand stitched scarf, reversible hooded towel/blanket, felted silk scarf, silk sarong, tweed scarf, twig-handled tote
* greater than 3 hours: baby quilt, wool knit shibori scarf, garden playmat, inlaid wool knit scarf, tea-dyed shawl
Other:
* Ideas for wrapping fabric gifts, making gift pouches and gift tags.
* Sections on fabrics, tools, techniques, terms.
--My thoughts--
Photography and styling are fresh and crisp, and lovingly lit. The projects are small enough so that you can experiment with a variety of new techniques without investing huge chunks of time.
About the projects:
1. The projects are firstmost decorative and pretty, and only secondarily useful. In other words, something you would give as a gift but perhaps not buy for yourself! They all look very expensive, if you were to buy them, which is a good thing? See item #2.
2. The variety of project types is very limited. Several little pouches and purses, towels, several scarves. One or two toys, hats, blankets. I see them as gifts for women/girls, gifts for babies, and housewarming gifts.
3. There is a nice variety of project methods. For example: wool knit shibori scarf, tea dyed scarf, inlaid wool scarf, felted silk scarf. You'll learn different techniques in the making of just scarves, which you can apply to your own invented future projects.
4. A variety of project materials are used: felt, paper, silk, fleece. Some projects are small enough to make with bits of stash fabric. Although a few projects encourage using "repurposed" fabric, many use materials that seem to me quite posh and pricey. I'm sure you could substitute, but the effect may not be the same.
Eye-candy for the sewing wannabe.......2007-07-22
This book was beautifully photographed and is a great addition to my browsing library. However, I doubt that I will actually make anything in the book. Best for inspiration.
Fun and motivating.......2007-07-17
This book was what I was looking for as I am just getting back into my creative side. I found multiple projects that I want to create and also to give a presents to the special people in my life. The photography is great the ideas go from fun to beautiful, that almost any receiptant would exclaim... "YOU MADE THIS?"
I can see why it was marked down so low..........2007-07-09
There are a few nice projects in the book, however I can easily see why it was marked down for a quick sale. There was nothing that really stands out as fantastic.
Full of creative ideas.......2007-06-05
I love to make handmade gifts and this gave me some great new ideas beyond belts and bags. I made the felted chiffon scarf for my mother for mother's day. I had never felted before; it came out beautiful.

Years ago Carolyn Heilbrun, a long-time feminist (Writing a Woman's Life) who also writes mysteries as Amanda Cross (The James Joyce Murder), decided to leave before age dragged her down by committing suicide at 70. Fortunately, she reneged, and chose instead to chronicle moments from her 60s. Always erudite, often deliciously wry, if sometimes pretentious, Heilbrun hits the mark more often than not in this book of essays. She speaks of "unmet friends" whose lives have paralleled her own and blessed deliverance from the academic bustle and backstabbing of Columbia University, the tyranny of memory, and foolish feminine clothes. Throughout, her sense of renewal is as welcome as her determination to go against the grain.
Book Description
When she was young, distinguished author and critic Carolyn Heilbrun solemnly vowed to end her life when she turned seventy. But on the advent of that fateful birthday, she realized that her golden years had been full of unforeseen pleasures. Now, the astute and ever-insightful Heilbrun muses on the emotional and intellectual insights that brought her "to choose each day for now, to live." There are reflections on her new house and her sturdy, comfortable marriage; sweet solitude and the pleasures of sex at an advanced age; the fascination with e-mail and the joy of discovering unexpected friends. Even the encroachments of loss, pain, and sadness that come with age cannot spoil Heilbrun's moveable feast. They are merely the price of bountiful living.

I discovered many kernals of wisdom...........2007-07-28
Finding myself in my late 50's, unemployed and not likely to take on another full-time career, I was curious about Heilbrun's thoughts and opinions about life during her 60's.
Heilbrun was in her 70's when she wrote this book in 1998. Almost 10 years later, I found kernels of wisdom in almost every chapter despite being far removed from her literary and financial stature.
If you have can relate to the following, I think you will benefit most from reading this book: 1) have an understanding or appreciation of the stifling environment most women who were married during the 1950's-60's felt in their marriages or careers. 2) be near or in your 60's, and 3) understand the introverted personality.
I could relate to her comments about transitioning from a life-long career to having a life full of choices and feeling unsure about how or what direction to take all of this available free time. A friend once told me, "Enjoy your 60's while your health is still good. When a woman reaches her 70's, it's probably downhill from there." I think this outcome was what Heilbrun deeply feared and couldn't admit.
I found her admission of experiencing `political sadness' a foreshadowing. She seemed profoundly affected by the political and social damage our country (and probably the world) endures knowing the recovery could take generations, if it were possible at all. Perhaps her inability to cope or contribute toward repairing such damage was more than she could bear, which might have lead to her suicide in her late 70's.
Her writing can be a bit 'literary'. I had to re-read several passages to be sure that "I got it." That's the main reason I didn't give the book 4 stars. Although she is a prolific writer and probably quite talented in her craft, I didn't enjoy stumbling over many of her phrases.
Too Little, Too Late.......2007-04-27
The titles of books Carolyn Heilbrun has written are exciting to those of us who are of the female persuasion and born before 1950, because women, especially older women, still get far too little respect in today's world.
However, Carolyn Heilbrun's extremely privileged and refined upbringing seems to have led her to come late and reluctantly to a contemplation of the problems of women in general. Her love of fingerbowls and the way of life they represent, her concern that no man's skin be visible between his socks and his pantlegs, her outrage at recent acquaintances being on a first name basis, and her preference for a house of her own, not shared by her husband of many years, are just a few of the things that define a huge gap between her and those of my generation, just 20 years younger.
At any age, it's best to either have a companion you cannot do without or for goodness sake have no spouse at all. Or suffer with your choice, no longer a happy one, but don't write a book telling us we should all profit from your example. It's sad she preferred to be apart from her husband, and I'm willing to pity her, but not to point to her as a model for the rest of us. Contrary to her experience and belief, a woman can be married--and actually living with a man--without losing her independence or her freedom.
Ms. Heilbrun did learn some lessons during her lifetime, and you can clearly see some progress in her beliefs between 1964 and 1997, but in all honesty, she was quite reactionary in 1970, compared to the students and faculty at Columbia, where she taught, so she had a lot of catching up to do. She was very far from the forefront of liberal feminism, almost the opposite, when you consider her exposure to (and resistance to) the intellectual ferment of the 1960s.
I'm 59 now, and I'm not about to take pointers in how to live out my sixties from someone as smug, self-centered, and superficial as this author. If the subject matter appeals to you, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere for intellectual stimulation.
Good News Bad News.......2005-08-22
If you are in your sixties, seventies, or beyond - or even if you are a precocious fifty-year-old, there is much to be had in this ultimately enigmatic series of essays by feminist, scholar, activist and mystery hound Carolyn Heilbrun. Thoughtful, introspective, funny and only occasionally cantankerous, Heilbrun strikes many a familiar chord in examining the oddly satisfying process of aging, if not gracefully, at least with some unexpected zest.
Heilbrun wore many hats in her life - her book Writing a Woman's Life is now a classic feminist study. She has a huge and richly deserved reputation as a scholar of Virginia Woolf as well as the Bloomsbury era in general. In popular culture, Heilbrun is probably best known by the pseudonym Amanda Cross, author of the Kate Fansler mystery series. She spent most of her academic career at Columbia University and speaks in these essays of her dismay at her experiences there and her relief at finally retiring.
Heilbrun is generous in sharing her inner life but never quite explains the puzzles. She was an ardent feminist, patriarchal enemy to the core. She deplored society's requirement that women dress the role and ultimately gave up dresses altogether. She slants towards androgyny and regards bisexuality as just a moving point on a line. She devotes a whole chapter to May Sarton, the poet, novelist and essayist who was her contemporary and her friend. Sarton was a tempestuous, oft ill-tempered lesbian who, much to her own dismay, found most public appreciation with the publication of her numerous journals recounting her rural life in New Hampshire and Maine.
But despite all of this, Heilbrun was a wife and mother and lived a seemingly contented life with her husband. The fact that, at the age of 68, she bought a home of her own where she often stayed, sans husband, seemed to her quite ordinary. In her personal life, there seemed to be little of the cacophony that marked her work and her times.
But the enigma of Carolyn Heilbrun lies mainly in her oft-vocalized determination to commit suicide at the age of 70 when, presumably, all usefulness and joy would be gone from life and ending it would avoid all of the nastiness involved in the endgame. But 70 came and went and she makes much in The Last Gift of Time of her decision to go on. Life, it seems, still had a lot to offer and that is what she offers us. These later years can be so rewarding that many women are quite shocked by this unexpected gift.
But, having read the book, and being inspired by that message, it is a bit disconcerting to learn that in 2003, at the age of 77, Heilbrun actually did commit suicide. By all accounts, there was no hint that this was to happen. Her husband and children were profoundly shocked, as were her friends . On the day she died, a Tuesday, Heilbrun walked through Central Park with a friend - something the two had done every Tuesday for 26 years. All seemed normal. Heilbrun was her usual self. The only possible hint, and a very thin one, was that at one point Heilbrun said "I feel sad". When the friend asked what she felt sad about, Heilbrun responded "The universe". And then she went home and put a plastic bag over her head.
Knowing the eventual outcome of Heilbrun's journey certainly changes the flavor of this book but it is difficult to say whether the message is diluted or enhanced. I, personally, was taken aback and re-read the book to see what I might have missed but did not find anything significant. It is still a book well worth reading and it has a lot to say to us "women of a certain age". But, despite its insight and its wisdom, what it mostly affirms is the unpredictability of life. And that, I suppose, is a good thing.
A Conundrum Wrapped in an Enigma.......2005-05-16
Carolyn Heilbrun wrote this celebration of life after sixty shortly after deciding not to carry out her long-determined plan to commit suicide at 70 and six years before killing herself at 77. To know that outcome increases the frustration and the spasm of anger at her -- how could she so exquisitely detail the joy she found in living over the last decade and a half of her life, and then one day slam the door on those joys through, I understand, an overdose of sleeping pills and a plastic bag around the head for good measure. The clue must lie in this book's last essay, On Mortality, and what Heilbrun seems to fear and foresee in that chapter, that at some increasing age indifference to life succeeds pleasure in life.
Obviously a woman of strong views -- I was not familiar with any of her writing before Gift --, Heilbrun is never shy about expressing those views, but does so with a humor and civility too often missing in writing and intellectual debate. She has scores to settle, but often, in these essays, matters of more compelling interest: a faithful dog; the fairly nondescript house she buys in the country; her enthusiam for email and England.
In the end I come away from Gift with two strong feelings, pleasure at being able to still enjoy some of those pleasures that Heilbrun enjoyed and an unsettling inability to understand why she later chose to stop doing so.
Recommended.
The lady opted out.......2005-03-02
It is difficult to relate to this book having the knowledge that Heilburn killed herself -with the consent of her son-because she felt it was all over. Perhaps her isolation had more to do with depression or some such than the spin she puts on it in the book. Her suicide was presented as a rational and logical choice. I don't know. She was an excellent scholar and a feminist thinker at the right time-so kudos to her memory for that.

Best Book.......2007-10-06
I love this book. A friend at my work showed it to me and told me how great it was and I've bought it for all my knitting friends. They love it. The projects are small and illustrations are gorgeous.
Nice, easy to make, but expensive!.......2007-09-02
Many of the gifts in this book are gorgeous, don't require a lot of sizing, are easy for a novice, and use lovely, livable color combinations. My only criticism is that with the luxurious all-natural yarns she recommends, the gifts can end up quite pricey! One gorgeous blanket is double knit with alpaca . . . even using a discounted wool blend the yard costs came to over $200 and that was before I bought the needles or spent the time making the gift. As a student who was hoping home-knit gifts could be a way to save money but still show I cared about the recipient, this book did not always fit my budget.
This is a GREAT book to own!.......2007-08-24
Lately I have been * very * selective about the knitting books that I purchase,,, as there is such an overabundance of knitting books on the market that are same old /same old,,, nothing new~
I have taken this book out of the library on numerous occasions when I want to consider knitting a gift for someone special.
I finally have come to the conclusion its time to buy the book and add this to my personal knitting library!
True, most of the projects are easy enough to figure out on my own but its the inspiration that is the factor here,, it helps with IDEAS ~which is what I need!
This book has it broken down into approx hours it takes to knit up a gift,, and covers many different TYPES of gifts you may give thru out the course of the year.
Sometimes,,,, I just want to knit * easy* and * fun* items ,,,to go ahead and have reason to purchase just 1 or 2 skeins of that REALLY soft cashmere??~...(and save the cables and intarsia for a project that ISN'T a gift!)
Weddings,,,there is one LOVELY lovely throw in there( that I * may* just make for a friends daughter who is getting married)
Same goes for my mother,,she would love this throw...
Baby showers???
Lately,, I have been going to a lot of baby showers ~
Presents that are quick to make in a luscious yarn,,,,,are very much welcomed by me!
This is covered in the book ,as well as small OR large presents to give to that special man in your life.
(There are a couple projects in there that I wouldn't mind giving to myself as a gift)
I think what I like most is that the author and designers are truly frugal with your knitting time ,and knit quite a few of the projects circularly therefore saving you endless hours of sewing up time~
I love the way the author shares her ideas on presentation of the actual presents ~ to me ,this is very important if you have taken the time to knit a gift!
I have taken this out of my local library for the last time,,,its August ~ and I was thinking of Christmas gifts *NOW*,,,so its time for me to finally break down and buy this book!
Great book to give as a gift.......2007-07-08
There are some very good patterns in this book, like the beautiful scarves, and it strikes me as a great gift for a knitter. The photos are lovely and it is a pleasure to read this book. I'm not sure when I'd have the patience to knit up a gift bag, although that may come with time, but I sure do enjoy looking at it.
A knitting library must have!.......2007-06-09
Great book! Full of excellent and clear patterns. The author also includes an informative section on color at the beginning of the book.

escape.......2007-03-08
I lover Debbie McComber's books. It's a fast read, but a nice little escape for an afternoon.
another winner by Macomber.......2006-06-07
***Can This Be Christmas -- A wonderful christmas story with all the trimmings. I enjoyed all of the characters (and there were many)and how they all went through a heart change. It showed how sometimes the littlest act of faith and kindness can have the hugest impacts in our lives. Debbie has a way of writing that draws you in so that you actually feel as though you are part of the story.
***Shirley, Goodness and Mercy -- This was a cute and entertaining read. I have always enjoyed reading debbie macomber and this one did not disappoint. It was a feel good story that had some humor as well as heartache entertwined. It is a good holiday read but can also be a spirit lifter at any time of the year
Do you need a little Christmas, right now?.......2002-12-16
As this book has two tales, they both need to be reviewed separately.
* Can this be Christmas?
This tale features an ensemble cast, a motley group of holiday travelers encounter one delay after another due to a huge snowstorm. Everyone had places to be, and people to see. All of the passengers are caught up in their own reasons for having to be where they have to be. The group gets stranded in a quaint train station. As people realize that they will not make their intended holiday destinations in time for the holidays, it brings out the essence of each person. Tempers flare. Eventually, they become resigned to spending the holiday together, and one contribution at a time, they build a great impromptu holiday situation.
* Shirley, Goodness and Mercy
This tale is like a cross between a modern "A Christmas Carol" and "It's a Wonderful Life". This is quite a bit lighter than either of those. If you like "Touched by an Angel" Or liked "Highway to Heaven", you will probably enjoy this tale. Greg Bennett has a cold empty life, and it's only getting worse. He is hitting bottom. He is reviewing all of the experiences in his life that have left him alone. Three angels are assigned to help him get his life together. With the guidance of these 3 mischievous angels he learns the magic of the holiday season, and transforms his whole life, just in time.

This one is grand for those last days of school. Kids find it hilarious when they notice the teachers REAL reactions to those last day blues!
Customer Reviews:
Practical, filled with refreshing humor.......2007-07-07
After having been a teacher for many years, reading plenty of parenting books, stressing out, you name it, this came as a breath of fresh air. I was chuckling all the way through the book as Dr. Guarendi debunked one so-called "expert" after another. He uses practical wisdom as the father of ten children to show you that you can get through the maze of parenting unscathed....and your children can, too. He clearly shows that nobody is ever perfect and this will not irreparably harm anyone. The basic ingredient for all childrearing is just plain common sense....which is the way all children used to be raised.
The reviewer who claimed all Dr. Guarendi proposes is simply spanking and more spanking ought to read this book more thoroughly. When I read that review, I could hardly keep from laughing...this individual would do well to delete that review and really read the book before he publishes something so absurd and obviously erroneous. The teacher here would have to give an "F" for a poorly written report. :-)
A discipline book you can really impliment.......2007-04-01
As I was reading this book, it told me hints that I had never thought of before or heard before. This book puts it in terms that will stick and be easy to impliment.
The only poor review came from someone who did not read the book!.......2007-01-08
This is a great book that truely applies common sense to child upbringing and can be applied regardless of religious background.
If you look at the all of the reviews from the one individual who gave a poor review, it looks like he did a topic search and left a bad review for any book he thought came from a Christian about child rearing. Although I have not read the other books that he gave 1-star to, based on this review I would be wary of believing any of the reviews he has written.
Read the book you won't regret it.
Another good book the author wrote is "You're a Better Parent than you Think"
you mean this guy again?.......2006-07-17
Yet another fundamentalist super-parent has written yet another spanking book. Give it a rest. I saw this guy on 700 club many, many years ago, and I thought he was the most smug, condescending, arrogant fundamentalist I had ever seen. At least he seems to have a
vaild doctorate, which is more than you can say for former child actresses who use hot-sauce
and refuse to raise brats. What I really dislike is how these religious fanatics discount all evidence and all arguments that disagree with their world-view. I admit that if I had to raise 10 kids (!)in this day and age, I may have resorted to the old woodshed on a few occassions. But I would not brag about it, nor would I make
it into a theological doctrine along with the inspriation of the Bible or the Deity of Christ. If a child does not respect a parent's authority, spanking will emerge as a "might=right" issue and not a panacea to establish authoeity.
Finially down to earth childrearing information.......2006-03-17
This book is the best. It gives you permission to be the parent you know you can be. The type of parent our parents or grandparents were. Its time to quit listen to all the "psycho-babble" and step up to being a parent. There is no quick fix here but instead a reliable down to earth parent(who happens to be an expert in his field of psychology) pulling out all the stops and telling us we don't have to be perfect parents but we do have to do our best and that will be enough. With his guidlines and suggestions mixed with a great deal of humor and personal stories( he is the father to ten adopted children!) you will find yourself laughing and relating to his stories. You can't go wrong with this one!
Book Description
More than any other altruistic gesture, blood and organ donation exemplifies the true spirit of self-sacrifice. Donors literally give of themselves for no reward so that the life of an individual—often anonymous—may be spared. But as the demand for blood and organs has grown, the value of a system that depends solely on gifts has been called into question, and the possibility has surfaced that donors might be supplemented or replaced by paid suppliers.
Last Best Gifts offers a fresh perspective on this ethical dilemma by examining the social organization of blood and organ donation in Europe and the United States. Gifts of blood and organs are not given everywhere in the same way or to the same extent—contrasts that allow Kieran Healy to uncover the pivotal role that institutions play in fashioning the contexts for donations. Procurement organizations, he shows, sustain altruism by providing opportunities to give and by producing public accounts of what giving means. In the end, Healy suggests, successful systems rest on the fairness of the exchange, rather than the purity of a donor’s altruism or the size of a financial incentive.
Customer Reviews:
Interesting and enlightening book.......2007-01-28
Kieran Healy does an excellent job of showing how blood and organ donation is not simply a question of altruism, a belief held by many. The author shows, in a convincing manner, that the social organization of organ procurement has significant effects on the success rate of the different establishments charged with collecting donations. Organ donation is an incredibly sensitive subject - after all, one person's life depends on another's death - so it is wrong to ignore the social and cultural context in which decisions will be made about it. A talented writer, Kieran Healy tells a fascinating story of an important subject that has seen increasing press coverage, but never with the necessary level of careful considersation that is presented in this book.
As a sidenote, the book's layout is very classy. Some books are hard to read because of annoying font and confusing layout. This one is a pleasure to pick up not only thanks to its content, but also the careful design.
Disclosure: I went to graduate school with the author and followed the development of his work in this domain. This book is a wonderful product of his thinking and research on this topic over the years.
