Book Description
Bishop Jordan has written a stellar work that is guaranteed to free the mentally enslaved, acquit the wrongfully charged, and bring healing to the sick. The Laws of Thinking is not a work for the shallow-minded person. It is demanding and challenging. It is neither intended to be used as the basis for unmerited criticism nor as sermon material for the minister having difficulty receiving a fresh work from the Lord. It was written with a very clear aim: to provoke spiritual thought. Bill Gates' Microsoft, Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions, Stephen Spielberg's DreamWorks, and even his own Zoe Ministries all began with a thought.
Every invention, university, book, song, business, home, skyscraper, movie, stage play, and baby began when someone chose to think. Nothing happens without thought. Creation did not happen without God's thought. Bishop Jordan's first objective is getting you to think.

AWESOME READ !!!.......2007-09-11
I'VE READ THE LAWS OF THINKING BY BISHOP E. BERNARD JORDAN AND IT WAS AWESOME! THIS BOOK MOVED ME INTO ACTION AND CHANGED MY LIFE. IF YOU'RE READY FOR A SHIFT, THIS IS A MUST READ !!!!
Destiny is a matter of choice.......2007-09-11
The Law of Thinking is definitely a must read. It will motivate you to start acting on ideas and dreams you thought were unreachable. Bishop E. Bernard Jordan teaches Destiny is not left up to chance but a matter of choice. He is the Master Prophet who brings life to visionary ideas. So if you are tired of (J)ust (O)ver (B)roke get this book for you and a friend and start living the way God expected you to.
The Laws of Thinking is the Law of the Land.......2007-09-11
As a man thinketh so is he states Proverbs 23:7 from the Wisest Man Who Ever Lived, The Great King Solomon..Bishop E. Bernard Jordan gives us the 20 Secrets to Using the GOD-GIVEN Divine Power of Mind... I Cor 2:16 states that who has known the Lord to instruct Him, yet we have the Mind of Christ...This Divine Mind within empowers us to manifest prosperity which is a benefit of salvation or the Greek definition soteria which means peace, prosperity, health, wellness all of which is defined in the Laws that our wonderful Master Prophet teaches in this book from the Law of Becoming to the Law of the Harvest...this is a step by step manual for those Christians who are looking beyond the letter......and beckoned by the spirit to come into the DEEP...
En-POWER-ing! Beware: Likely not palatable by Fundamentalists.......2007-09-10
I found Bishop Jordan's work so inspiring, enpowering and en-LIGHT-ening (as in shedding LIGHT on one's spiritual nature and relation to God, taking one out of DARKNESS)that I now own both the book and the CD and am working my way through his workbook. (Available from his site.) If the belief system you have chosen will allow you to consider other view-points without FEAR, that I recommend it highly, (especially for "Rhinos" - ie, entrepreneurs) so as to help manifest God's GOOD in your life. Remember, the validity of your belief system manifests in its FRUITS.) Alas, I could see "Fundamentalists" or "Literalists" taking offense at some thoughts expressed in it. One of my favorite parts in the book is when Jordan cites a instance when precisely this happened and a congregation member gasped "Bishop Jordan thinks he's God!" and he replied "NO! God thinks he's ME!"
May your Blessings ensue...

Book Description
Essentials of Corporate Finance, 5/e by Ross, Westerfield, and Jordan is written to convey the most important concepts and principles of corporate finance at a level that is approachable for a wide audience. The authors retain their modern approach to finance, but have distilled the subject down to the essential topics in 18 chapters. They believe that understanding the “why” is just as important, if not more so, than understanding the “how,” especially in an introductory course. Three basic themes emerge as their central focus: 1. An emphasis on intuition—separate and explain the principles at work on a common sense, intuitive level before launching into specifics. Underlying ideas are discussed first in general terms, then followed by specific examples that illustrate in more concrete terms how a financial manager might proceed in a given situation. 2. A unified valuation approach—Net Present Value is treated as the basic concept underlying corporate finance. Every subject the authors cover is firmly rooted in valuation, and care is taken to explain how decisions have valuation effects. 3. A managerial focus—Students learn that financial management concerns management. The role of financial manager as decision maker is emphasized and they stress the need for managerial input and judgment.

The textbook's price was competitive, it was delivered in a timely manner as promised and in mint condition as promised.
I enjoyed doing business with this supplier.
Not sure why someone rated it poorly.......2007-06-02
I'm an MBA student with quite a number of courses finished. I'm over half way through the finance course that uses this book and have found it to be written very well. The example problems are great, and the explanations are thorough. Our professor did make available the answers to the questions at the back of the book and used the powerpoints developed by the author. All in all the only drawback I could find was cost (as usual with college texts). As a side note, several students did use the 4th edition in our class with the permission of the instructor and did just fine.

The description of the textbook on the web was confusing and resulted in the buying the wrong book; but the return policy and credit correction worked very well;

I had to buy this book and use it for Finance class. It was helpful and used real world examples.

Because finding the ideal person for every workplace position has become an increasingly difficult task, the retention of top employees has become every manager's concern. Love 'Em or Lose 'Em, by organizational-development specialists Beverly L. Kaye and Sharon Jordan-Evans, proposes that this "race for talent" can be effectively run only by those who adopt programs and policies that truly support their personnel. It then shows how to do so, even in organizations reluctant to participate actively.
Kaye and Jordan-Evans encourage an initial scan of their 26 alphabetically arranged chapters--such as "Information: Share It," "Mentor: Be One," and "Space: Give It"--so attention can be fully focused on the most relevant benefits and responsibilities associated with employee retention. All are bolstered with hands-on exercises and stories of others' failures and successes. The section on family-friendly conduct, for example, suggests uncovering specifics by directly asking employees what would make their lives easier. Resultant needs can be met, it continues, by allowing staffers to bring children to the office on occasion, assisting anyone who must line up care for an aging parent, giving weekday comp time to those who travel on weekends, etc. It also explains how Deloitte & Touche and DuPont addressed these issues. Any manager who dreads losing a top performer would do well to consider this book. --Howard Rothman
Book Description
With replacement costs high and start-up time critical, employee retention is more valuable than ever. This best-selling guide provides 26 strategies to keep talented employees happy and productive. Citing research and experience with dozens of organizations, the authors present many examples of how today's companies have applied their retention strategies and increased their retention rates. The chapters are arranged alphabetically, from "Ask" to "Zenith." Each chapter includes a series of to-do lists, company examples, and an "alas" story drawn from the authors' personal experiences. This edition features new tips and to-do lists, new stories, and additional research from the media and from the authors' own extensive database. There are also three new appendices: a troubleshooting guide, a guide to saying "thank you" in the workplace, and a reading group guide.

Straight Forward and Memorable.......2007-03-11
The format of this book is excellent. It is driven by the alphabet and not only has the basic idea for each area but also details real life stories that relate to each topic. None of the stories were unfamiliar and was a good/bad thing because I found we were horribly ordinary in our experience and at the same time that was comforting to know. Great tools, easy to employ, presented in an easy to read and "get" format. A must for managers, business leaders, et al.
Lots to Learn Here.......2006-11-08
Wish one of my former bosses had read this book! After a couple of us had finished a nearly impossible project, someone suggested (in front of us) that he thank us personally. His reply: "We're all adults. We don't need to be thanked for doing our jobs." It wasn't the last straw, but it was one more thing that just added up. I eventually left the company.
The first couple of chapters are the most valuable. The book is important for corporations, but has even more significance for nonprofit or volunteer organizations where pay might be small or nonexistent, so appreciation or working for a cause is why people stick around.
You don't need to read it from start to finish - just the first chapters and then whichever of the concepts for appreciating employees strikes your fancy (or your employees'). It's clear and a breeze to read.
An A-Z primer on keeping the best employees.......2006-04-19
Beverly Kaye and Sharon Jordan-Evans' LOVE 'EM OR LOSE 'EM: GETTING GOOD PEOPLE TO STAY pairs actor and teacher David Drummond's dramatic voice work with the account of how to keep the best employees in an A-Z guide employers can use to address employee concerns. Learn how these strategies work in actual business environments in a guide packed with real-world examples.
"Talent development DNA for every manager!".......2005-11-04
Just completed "Love 'Em or Lose 'Em" by Beverly Kaye and Sharon Jordan-Evans. It is a fast read......two days on the bus riding into Downtown Houston. A little 90 minutes of time for so many insights, and practical programming ideas for trainers and talent managers!
1. For trainers and mentors- Build a facilitated discussion (or board games, card games, pair work activities, posters) around these questions (p. 109):
What have I learned about what counts in this organization?
How have my failures and success grown me?
What most surprised me about the culture?
What was the most difficult culture shift for me to make?
What are they ways to get in really hot water here/
How do people derail themselves?
What do I know now that I wish I had known then?
2. For us all- Are we boxed in? (p. 138)
But a box can have 4 different walls!
Concrete- Cannot be broken, pushed, bent or shattered.
Glass- - Hit it at the right time, with the right instrument, it breaks.
Rubber- Push hard and it bends.
Vapor- Our assumptions and perceptions about the rules: "People will never fly!"
This book is full of "self insight" activities and questions..... for new and experienced managers who know that they must do the max to attract and retain their most important asset- people.
Valuable encouragement and advice for all working people.......2005-10-03
Any book that encourages people to treat each other as such is very valuable. In an age where people are frequently victims of globalization and corporate greed, it is important to remember the talent and the true contribution of the talented people that create the value of the American company.

mcat prep, 30 minutes at a time.......2007-10-09
i take the mcat in january, but if you're neurotic about spending every free minute of your day studying like i am, then this is a great addition to your arsenal for studying while commuting. i drive from annapolis to d.c. every weekend and put all 13ish cds on my ipod.. i can get through a complete subject each way. excellent mcat prep but could never be standalone. good luck.
it's ok.........2007-10-07
im pretty blah about it...it's good and it's bad...it's right in the middle of being just a ok product from examkrackers....you'd spend better time reading their awesome review notes and practicing your tests...

Examkrackers and Audio Osmosis.......2007-05-27
Right now, I'm a 2nd year med student and I used this product what it seems now, a long time ago. I read now a couple of other reviews and I decided to do one myself, because I disagree with some people. First, I dont know if a have a silly sense of humor but this guys are hillarious, and even though you are not looking for a stand up comedy album, laughing to some stupid joke can make studying a lot easier.
Second, I recommend you to get also the examkrackers books, so you may listen to the cd and then go to your text book to read and memorize what is there, believe me is the fastest way you are going to read anything for that crappy test, cause truth is reading about general biology is not exactly reading Harry Potter.
Study hard - you don't want to go to Latin America for med school - I dont know what they teach there, probably they still use penicillin on s. aureus infections haha - Ohhh Another good hint - Buy the 101 questions or something like that On verbal Examkrackers 101 Passages in MCAT Verbal Reasoning (Examkrackers). Because other companies say "read read read" total BS - Im sorry but in 2 months you are not going to read enough to get the 10, so "practice practice practice" and probably youll have good luck.

The best-selling Fundamentals of Corporate Finance (FCF) is written with one strongly held principle– that corporate finance should be developed and taught in terms of a few integrated, powerful ideas. As such, there are three basic themes that are the central focus of the book: 1) An emphasis on intuition—underlying ideas are discussed in general terms and then by way of examples that illustrate in more concrete terms how a financial manager might proceed in a given situation. 2) A unified valuation approach—net present value (NPV) is treated as the basic concept underlying corporate finance. Every subject covered is firmly rooted in valuation, and care is taken to explain how particular decisions have valuation effects. 3) A managerial focus—the authors emphasize the role of the financial manager as decision maker, and they stress the need for managerial input and judgment. The Seventh Edition continues the tradition of excellence that has earned Fundamentals of Corporate Finance its status as market leader. Every chapter has been updated to provide the most current examples that reflect corporate finance in today’s world. The supplements package has also been updated and improved. From a new computerized test bank that is easier than ever to use, to new narrated PowerPoint for students, to new interactive learning modules, student and instructor support has never been stronger. There is also an optional, exciting new web-based program called “Homework Manager” that will help your students learn corporate finance by duplicating problems from each chapter in the textbook and by providing automatic grading and feedback to both students and instructors.

Worthless.......2006-11-01
This text book has been by far the worst text book for any class I have taken in my 4 years of college. The text is laid out in such a fashion that learning in nearly impossible. Normally I would enjoy a class like this, because I enjoy solving problems that are used in real life situations. I have not found this book to help me learn The Fundamentals of Corporate Finance at all.
For everyone who has to use this book for a class I hope that your professor is able to explain what you are supposed to be learning because this book will not help at all.
Excellent text.......2006-03-24
I really enjoyed using this text book. It is clearly written and the student CD really helped me learn the material.
Excellent readibility and examples, did well in class.......2006-02-25
I purchased this book for a class where it was required, but saved $ by purchasing through amazon. I paid about $120 and see that the price has gone up in the last 2 months. This book seems long but is filled with examples of calculations and process. I found that reading the book gave me a clearer and more thorough explanation than even my teacher could give. I have learned a lot and would highly recommend this book to anyone trying to learn finance.
Good Text For Beginners.......2005-12-16
I am a non-finance major and this book helped me get through the class very well. Not only does the author explain the material in common language, but it is an easy reader. My favorite part of the book is the CD that comes with it. It has a lot of interactive ways to learn the material, from quizzes to narrative Power Points.

This seller is highly impressive! WoW! very fast delivery and I mean, the book was as advertised! Absolutely Amazing! I highly recommend buying from this seller! Whoo!
The best Physics problem set for the MCAT ......PERIOD!.......2007-06-17
This book is one of the two books I focused on for my MCAT. I used this book and the 1001 Chemistry questions to "freshen up" on my weak areas.
Examkrackers 1001 Questions in MCAT Chemistry (Examkrackers)
These books are NOT designed to be worked all the way beginning to end, but either randomly or specific sections. It even mentions that in the books. These are not to be confused with the Examkrackers textbooks or testbooks, and these should not be purchased instead of on those. These are only a supplement to the examkrackers program for the MCAT.
When I took my practic tests (AMCAS is the best because they make the MCAT) I found out my weak areas. I then when back in the Examkrackers textbooks and reviewed that passage, then I did all of the problems for that section in the problem book which was only about 15 per topic (e.g. linear acceleration). The alternate method would be doing every 4th or 5th question till you find something you aren't skilled in.
The problems are ordered in increasing difficulty, with explanations in the back of the book and best way to attempt the problem. Best of all, if you use it with the textbooks it explains how to do the problems in your head efficiently. By the time I was ready for the MCAT, I learned more physics from these books than a whole year in college. In college I just memorized formulas, with these problem books you learn the concepts and how it relates. This one beats out Kaplan, and Princeton by long shot (I used both). I never memorized one single formula for the MCAT, and my score was very competitive.
At first it seemed promising........2007-06-10
At first I thought that this book was good. It seems like a good idea to practice 1001 questions. However, the questions are confusing and not reflective of real MCAT questions. I've had my physics instructor, who used to teach MCAT prep courses, look at the book and he also thought that many questions were not worded well. They say that they are trying to make it more challenging so that you will know what to expect on the MCAT. I don't like that approach and wish I hadn't spent my money on this. BTW I'm getting 10's and 11's, usually only missing two or three physics questions, on my practice sections, so I don't feel like it's because I don't understand physics.
Review of Examkrackers 1001 Questions in MCAT Physics by Jonathan Orsay.......2007-01-13
The book contains over 1001 practice questions for MCAT. The shear amount of practice from this book is guaranteed to help you prepare for MCAT one way or another.
How similar the questions are to actual MCAT physics questions is a whole another matter. And in truth not too similar. Firstly, actual MCAT physics questions are often based on a passage, all the physics questions from Examkrackers are standalone questions. Actual MCAT questions vary in topic from one question to the next, in this book questions are grouped together by topic. So if you're trying to simulate MCAT testing conditions while doing the exercises in this practice book it wouldn't be a realistic simulation. Secondly because all questions are standalone, it's hard to set time limits for a number of questions. Of course you're always trying to do the questions as fast as you can, being as careful as you can. But taking the MCAT requires a good sense of timing that you probably won't get from this book. Thirdly, the content of the questions in this book rely on what is extra to the MCAT. So there may be questions that require a bit of memorization and knowledge from other sciences. In itself this is not a bad thing, but it should dictate the way you use the book.
If you have time, I would recommend doing all the questions in there. And then moving on to more realistic practice from other books.
I hope this was a helpful review.
Delivery time.......2005-09-10
It took a long time from Amazon to deliver the item to me and I did not feel good about since my exam was getting closer to the date of delivering the book.
In the begining I ask for free delivary and you said it will take 5 days but the 5 days came and gone and no delivary.
I tried another type of delivary but no way the book did not come. Then I cancle the whole thing and starts again with the v. expensive delivary then the book came, but it was v.late.

Miracle cure stories abound when it comes to natural healing. A super nutrient reverses cancer after chemotherapy has failed. A Chinese herb lowers high blood pressure in a patient with heart disease after being dismissed as quackery by doctors. Jordan S. Rubin's account of returning from the medical abyss, however, includes an original twist. After several years of battling Crohn's Disease, which included a small fortune spent on both conventional and alternative treatments, as well as trips abroad in search of help, Rubin weighed only 111 pounds and, at just age 21, thought his life was over. At the urging of his father, a naturopath, he contacted an obscure nutritionist in California promoting a diet based on the teachings of the Bible. Yes, we're talking what Jesus ate: kefir, lamb, sprouted breads, eggs and meat from free-range chickens, and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Rubin also started to pray and added a new powder supplement containing homeostatic soil organisms (HSOs) to his diet. Four months later he weighed 170 lbs and was on the road back to his former athletic and healthy self. Inspired by his experience, and now with advanced degrees in nutrition and naturopathic medicine, Rubin has crafted The Maker's Diet. While the faithful will surely find the book of interest, Rubin's command of the scientific issues underpinning his recommendations may also appeal to those more accustomed to studying food labels in search of what to eat than ancient religious texts. --Patrick Jennings
Customer Reviews:
Good read for IBD.......2007-09-02
I certainly don't ascribe to every single detail of this book, or Mr. Rubin's beliefs (although, there are many that I do) but this is a definite read if you have IBD, IBS, or any other GI problems. Since I have Crohn's, I can speak from experience. I am using his philosophy, in conjunction with the SCD and have had good results. I believe using diet as a means for therapy is great, but it won't deliver results overnight. You have to be willing to give it a chance.
To most of you who gave 1* or 2*'s, I offer you 4 remarks. You either a) have never suffered from a disease yourself, b) you aren't a Christian (or you just can't stand the thought that the Bible MAY have something to offer!), c) you didn't even bother to read the book, or d) you didn't follow the diet. Don't be so blatantly obvious! Oh, and reality check, don't take life so literally....think outside the box!
I have had IBD for almost 8 years. If you think that doesn't qualify as someone who has some knowledge of the GI system, you are wrong. It doesn't always take a MD or some "righteous" degree/credentials to write a book and share knowledge. In fact, all my MD's want to do is shove pills down my throat or open me up with a scalpel.
4 stars for this book. Just another way to avoid taking so many drugs. I do wish, however, that Mr. Rubin offered more for less. As in less money. You have to pay to be a member on his website (not gonna happen!) But, in the same breath, I've paid enormous amounts of money in pharmaceuticals and doctor's visits. I don't mind buying a book or two if it might offer even an ounce of help! Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Mr. Rubin!
Not for everyone.......2007-08-09
The problem with this book is it assumes everyone has the same problems as the author. I gained weight because of all the dairy fat and wound up with gall bladder problems. Mercola's book is better since it addresses people like myself who are a carbohydrate type.
Read this to get a perspective on diet options.......2007-07-25
I was given a copy of this book while shopping at a health store. There are some great nuggets of information in here. I am not even going to go into the religious talk on this. Get what practical information that you can from this book. There are great ideas that the average person can learn from, while searching for a better, healthier way of living. This is a good starting point.
gibberish.......2007-07-17
according to a reputable scientific site:
"Garden of Life, Inc., of West Palm Beach, Florida, and its founder and owner, Jordan S. Rubin, have been ordered to stop claiming that their dietary supplements are effective against a long list of ailments, ranging from colds to cancer. In 2004, the FDA ordered Garden of Life to stop making unsubstantiated claims for "Q-Zyme,""Primal Defense," "Virgin Coconut Oil," "Fungal Defense," "FYI (For Your Inflammation)," "RM-10," "Revivall Classic," or other products [1] In 2006, the FTC filed a complaint and consent agreement involving unsubstantiated claims that:
Primal Defense treats intractable immune disorders, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, lupus, colds, flu, and Crohn's disease, and reduces users' blood cholesterol levels;
RM-10 treats cancer, helps lower users' blood cholesterol levels, prevents and treats cardiovascular disease, and treats immune system disorders;
Living Multi reduces the risk factor for diabetes and prevents diabetes-related syndromes, reduces the risk of obesity, and reduces inflammation; and
FYI (For Your Inflammation) treats and prevents inflammation, including inflammation caused by arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, sports injuries, asthma, allergies, fibromyalgia, lupus, scleroderma, and other inflammatory conditions.
Under the settlement, Rubin and the company:
Must pay $225,000 in consumer redress. If it is found they misrepresented their financial status, they will be responsible for more than $47 million--the total gross sales of the four dietary supplements.
Are barred from making unsubstantiated claims about the health benefits, performance, efficacy, safety, or side effects of any food, drug, or dietary supplement, or any program that includes such a product.
Are prohibited from misrepresenting the results of any test or study when marketing such products and programs [2]"
Hallelujah Diet & Lifestyle Rip Off.......2007-07-15
I will begin by saying that if you are currently eating the Standard American Diet (SAD) this book has information that will help you TRANSITION to a much healthier way of eating and living. However, if you are seriously ill and need healing quickly, you would be better off with George Malkmus' 'The Hallelujah Diet'. Brother George wrote his predecessor books to that one long before Rubin came out with this book, which appears to steal much of Malkmus' material. The big problem is that Rubin throws expensive organic, free range meat and dairy into the mix. If you read Rubin's first book about his healing, you will find that it didn't include fiberless, acid ash forming meat and mucus laden/forming dairy. These foods have been shown conclusively to contribute to disease by 'The China Study' and many other highly reliable sources. But, having them in this diet makes it much more palatable to people on SAD, hence it's current popularity. I also have an issue with Rubin's high priced supplements which he requires as part of his regimen. While Malkmus has a reasonably priced line of supplements available for the Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle, they are not 'required' for maximum benefit from his regimen.
Biblical Scripture does include this 'Noahic' diet, however I believe the Maker's Diet would be more correctly described by Genesis 1:29, which Rubin does quote, and which describes YHVH's Original Diet in the Garden, as well as the Hallelujah Diet. It just makes logical sense that this would be the ideal as it was given in the ideal state of man, created specifically for his body's needs. Noah appears to have been given permission to eat meat based upon need, as most vegetation had been destroyed in the flood. Just because we have permission does not indicate that it is YHVH's ideal for us.
I am a Certified Health Minister with a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and a work background as a Certified Environmental Trainer specializing in Health & Safety and Hazardous Materials who has studied several of Rubin's books carefully and find them seriously lacking in comparison to the much more effective and practical Hallelujah Diet and Lifestyle materials.
Book Description
Fundamentals of Investments was written to: 1. Focus on students as investment managers, giving them information they can act on instead of concentrating on theories and research without the proper context. 2. Offer strong, consistent pedagogy, including a balanced, unified treatment of the main types of financial investments as mirrored in the investment world. 3. Organize topics in a way that makes them easy to apply--whether to a portfolio simulation or to real life--and support these topics with hands-on activities. The approach of this text reflects two central ideas. First, there is a consistent focus on the student as an individual investor or investments manager. Second, a consistent, unified treatment of the four basic types of financial instruments--stocks, bonds, options, and futures--focusing on their characteristics and features, their risks and returns, and the markets in which they trade.

A Must-Have for anyone having something to do with finance........2007-10-07
Great Dictionary with all the financial/investment terms and abreviations.
The book has become my table-book.
Got confused with wording??? It just takes second to get the full definition.
A++++ RECOMEND!!!
Great reference material.......2007-09-10
This is the best reference for the securities industry. I am new to the industry but in a high level position. This is the book that our Complance officer is using to bring me up to speed on terminology and concepts. Better than a textbook. Just remember that it is basically a dictionary -NOT a textbook - so if you need a textbook I would suggest getting this as a supplement to it.
Great reference tool for your desk.......2007-07-13
I've been in banking for over 12 years and I still run into words and phrases that are sometimes unfamiliar to me. This book has been a handy tool on my desk--colleagues have come by to use it. If you work in banking or finance, or are a student majoring in similar fields, I would suggest that you make this essential to your portfolio of tools that you use.
Useful, small, light...........2007-05-13
It helped me on several occasions. There are, however, terms that are not defined, so I need to refer to the internet for those. Overall, a good deal....
COVERED GENERAL BUSINESS; NOT JUST FINANCE AND INVESTMENT.......2005-11-10
Despite being called "Dictionary of Finance and Investment Terms", this dictionary not only covered finance and investing, by cut across every aspect of general business. Its extensive coverage of management, accounting, marketing, advertising, and real estate makes it really unnecessary for anyone who already owns it to be bothering about acquiring any other business dictionary. Also, its encroaching expansion into computer and internet terms is both commendable and valuable.
All of its terms have been revised and simplified, using everyday language. And, a rare combination of quality and low price ensures that the demand for this dictionary will continue to dominate those of its rivals. Its 736 pages, which hold more than 5000 definitions remained astonishingly compact, authoritative, refined, and very concise. It is indeed a true hard-to-beat choice!
