Book Description
Glimpses offers people of all faiths intensely enlightening and powerful new prophetic revelations for God's glory and purpose. These amazing messages were delivered via His holy angels and Sunni Welles, through her gift of automatic handwriting. As Glimpses was being written, God blessed Sunni even more--Sunni is the only medium able to call a "specific" spirit or angel. "Sunni Welles clearly is a scribe for the angels, as she brings forth their timely, yet timeless, wisdom for the 21st century. The essence of angel communication is captured for us all while candidly bringing glory to the persistence of Sunni's simple spiritual journey, her heart-felt longing, and her only goal being--to serve God. With this book she clearly succeeds!"
Judith Guggenheim, co-author: Hello From Heaven "Glimpses reveals Sunni Welles to truly be God's modern-day prophet!"
Christine Duminiak, author: God's Granted Gifts of After Death Communications (2004) "Sunni's heart of an angel, makes her a genuinely remarkable person and an extraordinary medium. I personally know what a gift Sunni is and has! No difference in our belief systems can change that! I highly recommend her and her work."
Jill Lawrence, former host of "Jill and Friends", Wisdom Radio "I highly recommended Sunni's work; her wonderful gifts bring peace."
Echo Bodine, author: The Gift: Discover and Develop Your Psychic Abilities

Glimpses of Heaven from the Angels...."Lifechanging"..........2003-12-12
I have read many books on mediumship. Well...you can put this in a catagory not many fit in. It is simply incredible the gift that Sunni Welles has been given...you choose either to believe or not to believe..the same as we choose to either believe in Jesus Christ or not to believe.
On a personal note...we lost our only son 3 years ago in a car accident. The day before we buried him i had a VISION...our son came to me in this VISION...and not only that..OUR grandson as well. Our grandson was born 7 hours after my vision. Let me tell you...the very foundation i walked on was shaken that day. The saying "Things happen for a reason".. is so very true.
After many months of soul searching...having read many books on mediumship...i came upon Sunni Welles through a sweet and dear friend of mine. She told me about Sunni...we were very intrigued by what Sunni had to offer us. A chance to talk with our son? It was a decision that took me many months to come to terms with...but in the end..we felt compelled to have a reading. I can tell you...there were many many detailed things that came thru...(in short)...she had given us many things to confirm in our minds it was truely our son...she also had sent us...2 weeks after our reading "Words" our son had written thru her hand. I am still thankful for that reading and the peace it brought us...we are very blessed.
Back to the book! I have 1st hand knowledge on Sunni Welles...she is for real..and her gift is GOD GIVEN!! What she claims is true. The sceptic may not believe...but the believer will. Let your heart lead you to read this book. If your not sure...ask yourself...do you believe in "GOD"? If the answer is YES..then read this book. Its a very simple choice. I have recently read REVELATIONS in the BIBLE...the times we are living in seem so very similar i might add.
GLIMPSES OF HEAVEN FROM THE ANGELS WHO LIVE THERE is written by GODS ANGELS thru Sunni Welles hand....it is WORTH reading!!!! It is an incredible book that gives the reader a perspective seen from the ANGELS. I believe in GOD...i believe his son JESUS CHRIST died for us all...i also believe in GODS ANGELS...and messages from them thru SUNNI WELLES are words we should not take lightly. Whether you are Christian or not...there are messages for all faiths...it is our one come belief in GOD that binds us all together.
With all the things happening in the world...we are in PROPHETIC times...let us not miss the boat on this one. It is rare that a book with this inspiration is written. I give it 7 stars...5 simply isn't enough.
Glimpses of Heaven from the Angels.......2003-12-06
A must read book. I couldnt put the book down. I am reading it again because I found so much Love and detail from the Angels. I do believe in all that the angels had said to Sunni. I had the privilege of speaking to Sunni and getting a reading and it blew my socks off. My mom had just went home (heaven) and spoke with her.(spirit) She told me things that Sunni wouldnt have known. Sunni's book enlightens you and lets you see the whole picture in your earthly eyes but cant imagine the way heavenly eyes can see the whole picture. I know that these facts are true because she made an appearance, ADC, to my nephew and he said she was beautiful and was told by Sunni three weeks earlier that my mom seen my nephew. Its a wonderful book, you must read it. It gave me comfort on knowing that my parents and other people that has passed away that they are no longer suffering and are with us always. You just have to open your eyes and you will see. I know this is sort of deep but once you read the book, you will understand more. Thank you Sunni Welles for your gift and thank you Sweet dear Angels for letting Sunni write this book for you. Andd thank you mom and dad for playing those tricks on me.
Intriguing and thought provoking! Highly recommended!.......2003-12-05
Once I picked this book up I could not put it down! Medium Sunni Welles provides us with a unique view of Heaven given to her from the perspective of the Angels she communicates with. The Q&A section in the back of the book gives plenty of food for thought. For those of us interested in "the other side" , Angels and the "spirit" side of life, I definitely recommend this book!
A Must Read!!!!!!!!.......2003-12-04
This book is a must read! I found the book to be enlightening and full of the love of God. I have lost many loved ones and found this book very comforting. How else to get a "glimpse" of heaven if not from the Angels that live there? God has placed many gifts in our lives and Sunni Welles has a wonderful gift from God and it is such a blessing to see her allow God to use her in this fashion. I pray that one day I get to meet this wonderful woman. If you need comfort, read this book. If you want to feel the power of the love of God, read this book. If you want to smile, read this book. It is worth it.
I believe in angels.......2003-12-04
I loved this book and would highly recommend it to anyone. I believe in angels and was given my own glimpes of heaven when our son Brian was murdered. I believe that God gives some people the gift to spread his word and Sunni has been given that gift. There will be a lot of people who don't believe in God or angels and for those people I feel sorry for them. Sunni has helped a lot of people with her work and through this book she will help even more people cope with the loss of a loved one. This is a book that I will read over and over again.

I had the rare opportunity of reading this book during one of its very first drafts, before it was even picked up by a publisher. Let me tell you, you will love it. This book is for anyone out there who just feels like their heart is waiting for something big to happen. And the truth is, as Toy describes, we won't have to wait forever. This life is just a stepping stone to eternity. Toy's use of storytelling really helps the reader relate with his concepts and understand the theology behind his message. From the back cover:
He can see into her past...
He can see into her secrets...
He can see into the deepest desires of her heart...
Only in his dreams has Burke Grisham, the once-dissolute Earl of Thornwald, seen a lady as exquisite as Catherine Snow. Now, standing before him at last is the mysterious beauty whose life he has glimpsed in strange visions--whose voice called him back from death and the shimmering radiance beyond, on the bloody field of Waterloo. Catherine detests Lord Thornwald as the handsome daredevil who led her estranged husband into a decadent life and a reckless death in battle. Yet now, even as she resists his strange connection to her mind, she yearns for him to conquer her heart. But does this infamous rake think her his next plaything? Or is Burke truly sent, as he vows, to save Catherine from a danger only he can see--and sweep her up in a love born of eternal light?
And my review:
I enjoy the novels of Barbara Dawson Smith. While I don't find them to be "can't put it down" or "blow your socks off" reads, her books are enjoyable diversions to pass a few hours. A GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN is not one of her best works, but still a pleasant read.
I really liked the paranormal touch she put into this one, about how Burke could see flashes of memories from Catherine's late husband, Alfred. I thought it was a really interesting concept. I felt that the characters were pretty well-rounded as well.
However, I didn't feel the spark between them as much as I would have liked. When the author said that they were in love, I just didn't feel it. A minor complaint, but it is the reason this book wasn't a keeper for me.
The author wanted to show how the hero was redeemed from a drunken, wenching, gambling blackguard into a man worth marrying. But the part where (in the past), he gives a prostitute to his married friend (Alfred, Catherine's last husband) as a wedding gift almost made me stop reading the book. So if something like that is going to be a big stumbling block for you, I'd suggest you skip this one.
I think that this author has done it better. My personal favorites of hers are Once Upon A Scandal (Once Upon Scandal) and The Wedding Night (A Kenyon Family Novel). Those ones were keepers, and I would recommend them over and above A GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN. Buy this book if you're a big fan of the author, otherwise, I'd suggest trying to find it at the library.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!.......1999-12-04
This is a really fascinating story about a man who has a near death experience at the Battle of Waterloo, and afterward sees visions about a woman he's never met. It's full of twists and turns and lots of great romance. I loved it!
A GOOD BOOK.......1999-11-28
I enjoyed reading this book, and would suggest it to others looking for a good romantic novel . . .If you want to read a book that goes straight to your heart, read Stolen Moments by Barbara Jeanne Fisher. . .It is a beautiful story of unrequited love. . .for certain the love story of the nineties. I intended to give the book a quick read, but I got so caught up in the story that I couldn't put the book down. From the very beginning, I was fully caught up in the heart-wrenching account of Julie Hunter's battle with lupus and her growing love for Don Lipton. This love, in the face of Julie's impending death, makes for a story that covers the range of human emotions. The touches of humor are great, too, they add some nice contrast and lighten things a bit when emotions are running high. I've never read a book more deserving of being published. It has rare depth. Julie's story will remind your readers that life and love are precious and not to be taken for granted. It has had an impact on me, and for that I'm grateful. Stolen Moments is written with so much sensitivity that it made me want to cry. It is a spellbinder. What terrific writing. Barbara does have an exceptional gift! This book was edited by Lupus specialist Dr. Matt Morrow too, and has the latest information on that disease. ..A perfect gift for someone who started college late in life, fell in love too late in life, is living with any illness, or trying to understand a loved one who is. . .A gift to be cherished forever
Insipid and boring........1999-01-02
I didn't find the story interesting at all. I read this book because the story outline looked appealing and because of the warm review. I was disappointed. The story has not much substance and it is loosely-knitted.
A wonderful and touching read!!.......1998-04-01
I just couldn't put it down once I started. Barbara Dawson Smith is an outstanding author. I love her books. Burke is a wonderful hero, as is with all rakes, of course. But he is trying to change his ways. The fascinatind part of the story is Burkes near death experience and the strange visions he gets of Catherine, visions that soon show themselves as Alfred, Catherines dead husband's. Does he have Alfred's memory? Its a truly touching story of redemption and everlasting love. Read it, you won't be disappointed!

Book Description
A provocative new book, based on the channeling which Marian Charlton did in 1997, when her deceased parents contacted her from the Causal Plane. Carl and Clara Rasmussen describe their daily life in simple, down to earth terms, thus giving an introduction to others on what to expect when they, too, cross over the line into "Heaven".
Customer Reviews:
Insightful reading!.......2001-06-15
All those questions we have about what goes on after we pass over. This book helps give you a better understanding. I enjoyed all the subject matter and found myself enlighted by the perspective of those who communicated this information for our benefit. You finish reading this book with a feeling of lightness of being, rather than fearful of hell and damnation. If life's a school, this is the textbook filled with the answers to the everyday quizzes we create for ourselves, like "what's it all about anyway?" There is reason and purpose for everything and if you read this book, it was meant to be...for there are no accidents in this life. Enjoy!
An excellent and insightful view of the afterlife........1999-10-30
Marian Eileen Charlton is a well-known psychic counselor who began receiving messages from her deceased parents. Their dialogue and the information that came through is on the level of the Conversations with God series, though of a different nature. This is a thoroughly unique book, the likes of which you will not encounter elsewhere. Everyone wonders what happens when you die. This book has answers, presented in a very clear, concise format. There are no strange terms or complex ideology here-just a talk with parents about "what it's like" out there. There is far more to this book than satisfying curiosity, however. Clara and Carl, as loving parents, pass on information to their daughter that is helpful to the living. There is a wealth of useful information here on such topics as family communication, energy relations, happiness and choices, illness and healing, love, negative people, stress and chaos, sexuality, Christianity, the dying process, and many other subjects. With clarity and love, the two bring their gifts of insights from the other world to this world. This is a profound book of great value to all

Heaven
ASIN: 1576832325 |
Book Description
Gallup surveys, public opinion, and Hollywood films indicate that the hope of Heaven has never been more relevant to our society. Yet despite the popularity of this subject, post-Christian culture gives little credence to biblical teaching on Heaven. As a result, the unchurched and evangelicals alike miss out on the transforming, biblical hope of Heaven. In Heaven Observed, author Barry Morrow brings readers back to this crucial hope, offering answers to their questions about the afterlife, insights into the inconsolable longings of their hearts, and sound encouragement for their spiritual journey.
Customer Reviews:
This is good news!.......2001-12-01
Finally, a book that explores the concept and reality of heaven in a fascinating and intellectually stimulating way.
I've never been particularly interested in the usual pie in the sky, floating on clouds view of heaven. This book kept me glued to a new way of looking at it.
Thanks, Barry Morrow, wherever you are... I hope not in heaven, yet! I'd like to see some more books from you.
A joyful journey, brimming with pleasures and delights.......2001-11-27
Does God give us clues about what Heaven will be like? In Heaven Observed, Barry Morrow explains how common everyday events and activites illustrate or foreshadow what we can anticipate in Heaven. He addresses our work and play, pleasures and joys, pain and suffering, film and literature, the daily grind, our sense of alienation, and our universal unhappiness.
"The main emotion of the adult American who has had all the advantages of wealth, education, and culture is disappointment."
"Most middle-class Americans tend to worship their work, to work at their play, and to play at their worship."
Throughout the Scriptures, a number of metaphors and other figures of speech are employed to describe Heaven. While much remains a mystery, beyond our comprehension, we still have a number of longings that Heaven will surely satisfy. A few of these are peace and tranquility, rest and comfort, protection and security.
A well reasoned, scholarly, yet readable account about clues in this mortal life that point to Heaven, Morrow has done a masterful job of inviting the reader to see the "glimpses" that he sees. A must read if you plan to go there and stay for a while.
A different question, a different answer.......2001-11-24
A sign of the times: books about heaven and angels and the like used to always start with the question: Does such a thing exist? Barry Morrow, in Heaven Observed, begins with the implied question, "Does it really matter if there is a heaven?" and goes on to explain, with ample input from all sides, that, well... yes, it does! Why else would we try to attain it here? Morrow gently shows us that heaven is not just a reward for living well or making certain choices. Instead it is a fulfillment of longings and incompleteness that were never meant to be-and cannot be-fulfilled here on earth. Even the best things leave us unsatisfied, and point us to a place and time of ultimate satisfaction. David Jenkins once said, "As I get older, I seem to believe less and less, and yet to believe what I do believe more and more." Barry Morrow has done an excellent job of reminding me-in my cynical middle-age years-why I believe in heaven, and why that gives me hope-today.
Heaven Never Looked So Good.......2001-11-21
Never has Heaven looked so appealing as when the author portrays the fallacies of life (a-la-Ecclesiastes) as glamorous examples of God's presence. Most refreshing, is to see our own daily experiences being woven into a theme of "Glimpsing Transcendence" as God pulls us to Him. This in turn, elevates our yearn for Heaven to a new level not unlike a skyrocket!
Being entertained is one thing, but equally impressive is the broad range of references utilized. It is inconceivable how the author puts forth such a variety of information quoting the intellectual reasoning power of such greats as C.S. Lewis, Pascal, and many others. He then emphasizes again his point quoting such as Mark Twain, Woody Allen, Steve Martin, etc. etc....... Can you believe that?
Theological and philosophical concepts abound to reinforce the message of "Heaven Observed." This approach should appeal to a wide assortment of intellectual levels as the focus is maintained with such a variety of examples. One does not feel forced, but finds this concept easily acceptable to widen his personal views. I guarantee one's yearning for Heaven as a better place than planet Earth will never be the same!
A fascinating glimpse of the "great beyond".......2001-11-17
With keen insight into both history and contemporary culture, with a firm grasp of both theology and the human condition, and with an engaging style that is alternately thought-provoking and amusing, Barry Morrow has taken a sprawling, ethereal subject and written a wise and--most importantly--down-to-earth book.
Far too many books like this are preachy and predictable. Not so with Heaven Observed. It is accessible to both skeptics and seekers. But whether you are a "believer" or "unbeliever," be forewarned that Morrow's book is not for the squeamish. It is an arresting, jarring, but ultimately reassuring piece of writing. When you're done, you won't soon forget this powerful study of the human longing IN this life for purpose and meaning BEYOND this life.

A Comprehensive Guide to Healing.......2004-12-14
This book highlights the transformation that occurs at true NDEs, and the psychic phenomena that often accompanies experiencers is shown clearly here. I think this book together with Psychic Gifts Tools to Connect by Dr. Snow (another NDE experiencer) make some of the best reading on transformation from NDEs that I have ever read. Both also highlight how the choices we make here in our lives ripple on through to our death experience, and how we can connect to our higher selves and each other, and fine tune powerful spiritual abilities, right here on earth. We all have much to gain from reading these accounts.
Transforming Experience.......2004-12-14

What can the average person learn from OBE/NDE?.......2004-02-09
A Glimpse of Heaven is a wonderful book, but so many people just focus on their own lessons they learned, which makes for an interesting story, but I am always looking for more - how does this apply to me? Do I have to have an NDE myself? I liked Tiffany Snow's book better, just one chapter about her great NDE, but the rest of it shows how anyone can open up, if they learn how. I'm not saying A Glimpse of Heaven is a bad book, really, but I guess I was just expecting more.
EMBRACING SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCES.......2003-12-17
The author of a best-selling book on deathbed visions, "One Last Hug Before I Go," Dr. Carla Wills-Brandon has broadened her research and writing to encompass nearly every type of spiritual experience. In addition to her own, she summarizes several dozen other inspiring, interesting, informative and intriguing spiritually transformative experiences (STEs) encountered in her research over the years, including the out-of-body experience of Dr. Mark Seelig, a German psychotherapist. Seelig recalled going through a tunnel, seeing deceased relatives speaking to him in "wordless language," then encountering a light being who communicated with him in the most loving way. "[The experience] completely shattered my outlook on life, consciousness, religion..." Seelig is quoted.
While many mental health professionals look askance at such experiences and avoid discussing them, Wills-Brandon, a family therapist, has discovered that by helping the patient explore his or her STE and then embrace it, the patient often adopts a more positive, more accepting, and more loving outlook on life.
"Regardless of this," Wills-Brandon states, referring to the criticism by both mainstream science and orthodox religion, "when an STE brings comfort and healing, it is difficult to keep tightlipped, no matter who is doing the ridiculing"
Wills-Brandon makes a strong case for fully examining, exploring, and embracing spiritual experiences.
FANTASTIC.......2003-12-05
You must read this book!!! Dr. Carla Wills-Brandon is a wonderful author. This book will make you a believer or if you already are-it will help you to better understand yourself. Wonderful!!!
