Another great product.......2007-10-06
My son absolutely loves Ms Lite's Indigo Dreams CD. Many children with Autism Spectrum disorders have a hard time adjusting to changes, so it took a LONG time for me to convine my son to try the Ocean Dreams CD. He loves that one now, too. The sounds and stories are so relaxing, it is much easier for him to relax and fall asleep with them. I would definately recommend both of these CD's and books to any parent whose child has a hard time relaxing and falling asleep.
Even the young feel stress.......2007-09-23
I got this for my 9yr old to help him get to sleep on school nights when he claimed he wasn't tired. It worked like a charm. Every night he would try to stay awake to hear it to the end. Two months later he is still trying to hear the end. I also have Indigo Dreams for the younger kids for my 5yr old. When he went to his first sleep over I sent it with him just incase he started feeling scared at bed time. The friends mother said he didn't need it but listened to it herself and loved it and asked where I got it. She had a 10yr old who was having trouble the night before she had a test. I offered her this cd for a few days. When she returned it she informed me she had purchased both for her kids. Keep up the great work. Highly recommened.
Tranquility!.......2007-09-14
I bought this for my kids after they grew tired of my own, self-published children's books, "The L'il Zombie" and "Flesheaters from Candyland." They now have the placid demeanor of Herbalife franchisees, though actually scaling those heights may be tough for them later in life.
Indigo Ocean - Children's Stories.......2007-08-29
I bought this as a gift for a friend's children they Love it, asking to listen to it each night.
Great CD.......2007-06-12
I've never written a review before but this CD was so great. I rely on these reviews to buy so I know how important they are. I bought the CD because my 8 year daughter old has been suffering from "tummy aches" and panic attacks at night. She really enjoyed the stories. The guided meditations helped calm her down. My 5 year old son just enjoyed listening to the bedtime type stories as he drifted off to sleep. He requests to listen to it several nights a week and doesn't seem to get sick of it. They love them so much I'm going to try the "sister" cd next. Great buy!

Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Great Gift!.......2007-08-10
I purchased this book for my daughter to give her friend as a gift. It was given to a young boy turning six, who knows everything about ships especially the Titanic. He loved it! I would definitely purchase again.
great pictures.......2007-08-05
Though a child's book, well illustrated for those interested in this ship and tired of maps.
Only regret, wish it were more illustrated and does not give break down of lifeboat capacity boat by boat though provides overall lifeboat and passenger capacity.
Inside the Titanic: A Giant Cut-away Book.......2007-04-01
I bought this book for my grandson's 7th birthday. He is into everything Titanic. He loves it.
Big book for small Titanic fans!!.......2007-01-21
I purchased this book for my 4 and a half-year-old son, which is now fascinated by all things Titanic. I felt the tragic nature of the story; the excessive text of most books and the content of the movies were not suitable for kids. When I found this book I knew it would be just right for a him.
The size of the book was the first thing that amazed my son. Then he was impressed with the dominant artwork inside. Marschall's illustrations are simply wonderful. He's indeed a great artist and an expert when it comes to the Titanic. The book illustrates the great ship, its interiors and it's ultimate demise as it follows the story of two real-life children that were aboard the Titanic on her maiden voyage.
My son was so excited after we finished the book that he insisted to take it to school where his teacher had a reading for the whole class.
great pictures.. facts.. and even a story.......2007-01-20
My 4 year old son got this book from his Nana for Christmas. He wants to read it every night. It is filled with great pictures, including a huge 4 page fold out. The pictures are colorful and very detailed. It is also filled with great facts, and even a story. Couldn't ask for a better book on the Titanic.

Oprah Book Club® Selection, September 1996: The horror of losing a child is somehow made worse when the case goes unsolved for nearly a decade, reports Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel columnist Jacquelyn Mitchard in this searing first novel. In it, 3-year-old Ben Cappadora is kidnapped from a hotel lobby where his mother is checking into her 15th high school reunion. His disappearance tears the family apart and invokes separate experiences of anguish, denial, and self-blame. Marital problems and delinquency in Ben's older brother (in charge of him the day of his kidnapping) ensue. Mitchard depicts the family's friction and torment--along with many gritty realities of family life--with the candor of a journalist and compassion of someone who has seemingly been there. International publishing and movie rights sold fast on this one: It's a blockbuster.
Book Description
A #1 New York Times bestseller, Mitchard's suspenseful and moving novel is now available in trade paperback
Few first novels receive the kind of attention and acclaim showered on this powerful story--a nationwide bestseller, a critical success, and the first title chosen for Oprah's Book Club. Both highly suspenseful and deeply moving, The Deep End of the Ocean imagines every mother's worst nightmare--the disappearance of a child--as it explores a family's struggle to endure, even against extraordinary odds. Filled with compassion, humor, and brilliant observations about the texture of real life, here is a story of rare power, one that will touch readers' hearts and make them celebrate the emotions that make us all one.
"Riveting . . . twists that will spin you around." --Newsweek
"A drama with the tension of a thriller that moves deeply into the emotional territory of family ties." --People
"Take a deep breath. . . . This riveting story won't let you come up for air." --US magazine
Customer Reviews:
An entertaining book, but it loses momentum halfway through.......2007-07-11
In "The Deep End of the Ocean," the Cappadora family experiences an unspeakable tragedy when three-year-old Ben is kidnapped in the hotel lobby where his mother's high school reunion is being held. This book examines the effects of the kidnapping on Ben's parents, siblings, extended family, and friends. Years after the kidnapping, when the remaining family members finally begin to experience some sense of normalcy in their lives again, the unspeakable happens when the details of Ben's kidnapping finally emerge.
I really enjoyed this book, but I thought it dragged a bit in the second half. The plot twist involving Ben's actual whereabouts is fascinating and heartbreaking all at the same time. I enjoyed the way the book shifted back and forth from the points of view of Ben's mother, Beth, and his older brother, Vincent. However, I think the story would have been even more powerful if the reader got a glimpse of the situation from Sam's perspective, and also from that of Ben's father, Pat. Additionally, it was so hard for me to sympathize with Beth's character. Obviously, I felt for her when she lost her son. However, Beth's personality was so cold and selfish before the kidnapping ever took place, so it was difficult to make excuses for her in the latter half of the book and assume she was just acting out due to her overwhelming grief. Finally, I thought the last few pages of the book were a bit unrealistic. Yes, this whole story is pretty far out there (although crazy things like this do happen once in a while), but after everything Sam went through, I couldn't believe that he would up and change his mind again at the very end. What was up with that?
Despite its flaws, "The Deep End of the Ocean" captured my attention from beginning to end. Reading the book had the same effect on me as following one of those bizarre sensationalized crime stories in the news: the details are horrid and painful, but I just couldn't pull myself away. If you tend to gravitate toward that kind of media coverage, have a soft spot for those god-awful TV movies of the week that are based on true stories, or are just looking for something entertaining to read, this is definitely the book for you.
Not a good choice.......2007-05-26
The deep end of the ocean is where I wanted to chuck this book when I was done with it. It's unbelievably melodramatic and morose in the extreme. The main character (the mother who loses her child) is so unlikable that I was actually hoping the kid could stay with the family that abducted him. Oprah has chosen yet another stinker; have you read "The Road" yet? Oy! You'd think I'd wise up and start avoiding anything with her name on it. She has horrific taste.
Couldn't put it down.......2007-04-30
Mitchard brings every mother's nightmare to life. I read the book straight through without putting it down. A gripping story.
Worst book I have ever read.......2007-03-15
A girlfriend suggested I read this book, which I did from start to finish, and I found it to be very depressing. Other reviewers have given a synopsis of the story, so I'll not duplicate their efforts. While I understand the main characters are processing an event I pray no one in this world should have to deal with, I found no hope in the book at all. Even though it has a what most would consider a positive outcome, I sense the characters would not have survived much beyond the window of their lives that we saw.
I did not feel my life was any the better for reading it and suggest you search elsewhere for a good story to read.
The deep end of the ocean.......2007-02-22
A very well written book. A heart breaking, tragic tale, as you witness a seemingly strong and happy family crumble from within. Well worth reading.

Customer Reviews:
Loved it!!!!!!!!.......2007-08-31
This is definitely my favorite story of the bunch, it centers around Abbey and Aleksandr and we get to know a lot more about them and understand more of their back story, (especially since abigail isnt mentioned a lot in the other books much to my disappointment as she is definiteley one of my favorite characters). Aleksandr was trained from birth to be a ruthless agent and he became a police officer who needed a little help on solving a case so he turned to a lady known for her powers of discovering and envincing the truth, little does he know that he would fall in love with her. Abigail didnt know that he knew about her powers beforehand so she though that he wanted her for herself an she tried to help him on his case but things went wrong during questioning and Abbey lost faith in both her powers and in aleksandr. Abigail loves aleksandr but she has to find a way to trust in both him as well as her powers again before she can accept him back into her life, especially since she's in danger and he's bound and determined to protect her and keep her in his life.
Abigail's Story.......2007-08-14
This was one of my favorites.
I liked both characters: Abigail and Alexsandr Volstov
I enjoyed reading about swimming with the dolphins and all the water adventures that went with this story.
It was nicely written and oh so romantic.
I've read better...........2007-07-06
I was not impressed with any of the Drake Sisters series. There was nothing there to keep me wanting to know more about the sisters. It didn't hold my attention. The "magic" was not enough to hold my attention.
Another thing that bothered me is that everyone just took for granted that the sisters had their "magical" powers. They didn't try to hide it and it didn't bother anyone. No one questioned them. Maybe secrecy would have made the series more interesting.
I was definitely not impressed. I'm hoping the Dark Series will be better, but from what I know about them, they seem like a ripoff of the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I guess I'll have to see.
THIS BOOK BURNS WHITE HOT!!!!!!.......2007-06-09
This book was so good. It was so full of angst. I would advise anyone and everyone to read this book as well as the other books in the series. Of all of the books in the series this was the first one I read and my all time favorite.
I love these Drake Sisters!.......2007-05-09
I really like the drake sisters series. I started with the one with Libby and liked them so much I needed to go backward to read the sisters before her. I loved the story of Alexsander and Abigail. The previous conflict between them was handled well with little drama and a lots of information that did not interefere with the plot line of the actual book. Christine Feehan delivers a wonderful paranormal romantic suspense everytime.

Excellent survey of western history.......2003-12-13
Civilization in The West is a superb text. Written by an outstanding group of historians the book is highly readable and contains a wealth of information. The suggestions for additional reading at the end of each chapter are invaluable and list the key texts for any time period. Finally, the colorful illustrations and photographs brilliantly compliment the text. This book is a definite buy for anyone interested in a general guide to western civilization.
Definitely a college text!.......2002-07-30
I enjoyed this text during my history class very much because it was so in depth. The hundreds of famous paintings alone make this book worthwhile, but it reads very much like a college text. Don't get me wrong -- I came to love history through taking this class, and the book was a large part of that. You must have a high level of literacy and some previous knowledge of history to read this book very easily. NO DETAILS ARE LEFT OUT!!! The book is fabulous and I would recommend it to any level anyways.
Good textbook, not nearly as bad as some i have had to read.......2001-10-18
The book had lots of info and was easy to understand. It covered all of the most important aspects of western civilizations. Anyone who complains that it was hard to read is an ... I would consider myself smart but i am by no means a rocket scientist and i found this book easy to read and enjoyable. It provided lots of information about certain interesting aspects of different civilizations cultures that would appeal to anyone who whould sign up for a history course.
This text book is very dull........2000-12-13
This book is used as a MEH textbook for sophomores in my highschool. My friends and i found this book to be very dull and boring. It contains a lot of information but the way it is presented is not in an interesting manner, rather in a dull way. This book has no bold words which makes it difficult for us to read. I believe it was chapter 17 or 18 that the beginning was very interesting but suddenly it became boring. I think history is interesting but the way that this book teaches it to you is very uninteresting. I don't suggest this book for any highschool student. Everyday when we get our history assignment i dread to read this book because it is so boring.
Civilization in the West, by Kishlansky, Geary, O'Brien.......2000-02-24
This book is a cornucopia of detail. It is undeniably the most detailed of any textbook on the subject. Unfortunately, this otherwise useful textbook suffers from poor if not outright negligent editing. Some paragraphs are virtually incomprensible. The text reads as if the individual authors took turns writing sentences. The concept of topic sentences and paragraphs expressing discrete subjects seems to have been lost on the authors as well as the editors.

Book Description
"From space, Planet Earth is blue. It floats like a jewel in the inky black void. The reflection of the sun's light from the vast expanse of water covering its surface creates it gemlike blue color. In the entire solar system, Earth is the only planet that has water in liquid form in such quantities." Scientist have calculated that 70 percent of our planet is covered by water; small wonder that the human being shave always been so fascinated by the oceans and what lies beneath. Today, while we still have so much more of the ocean realm to uncover, we have discovered enough to know that beneath the waves lies a vast treasure-trove of rich and diverse life. Accompanying the television series of the same name, The Blue Planet leads up on a voyage of exploration from the coasts, the very edges of the oceans, to the deep where weird and monstrous fish lurk in a world of perpetual darkness. Along the way we are introduced to a whole host of wonderful creatures -- from tiny copepods to majestic blue whales, and from the grotesque hairy anglerfish, to the amazing tripod fish that stands on its three delicate legs waiting to snap up unsuspecting prey. Complete with a foreword by Sir David Attenborough and 400 full-color photographs, The Blue Planet is the first complete and comprehensive portrait of the whole ocean system.

The Book of the Ocean.......2007-01-10
This was a very good book and it goes great with the Blue Planet video series. Ocean creatures are amazing. I bet you'll at least find at least one thing in this book you have never known before. If you love the ocean and want to know what's in it, this will be an excellent book to read.
Beautiful Book.......2006-12-27
I bought this book for my 9-year-old daughter when she wanted to learn more about the ocean. It's a very beautiful book with amazing pictures.
Fascinating facts about the ocean........2006-07-26
The book is truly fascinating. Turning the pages of the book you will see the beauty that lies within the depths of water. Even in the most ugliest of blue whales you will find beauty which you will enjoy...
Water world.......2006-05-25
A wonderful book with absolutely staggering photography throughout. You can snorkle and scuba-dive without even leaving your armchair. Just flicking through it when it first arrived I saw page after page of creatures I had never seen before. Packed with information, beautifully presented on good quality paper. What else can you expect from a product linked to the BBC, David Attenborough, and Discovery Channel. DK publishing excel again. The authors Andrew Byatt, Alastair Fothergill and Martha Holmes deserve a round of applause. This is a much valued addition to my collection of books.
Truly a great book.......2003-08-28
After watching the 'Blue Planet' documentaries on TV I developed an interest about life under the sea. Some of the documentary footage was truly groundbreaking work in terms of capturing the animals on film and bringing it to our homes in such a unique way.
The book, like the documentary is truly a great piece of work. It's well planned, presented and written. It covers all aspects of ocean life with out becoming to specific with regard to certain species. Some of the photographs throughout the book are truly wonderful; this book is a must for everyone, of all ages. It will satisfy any appetite for deep-sea discovery, shore life and marine biology.
5 Stars, This book has everything you need and more, and the presentation is second to none.

Great Historical/ Environmental Read.......2007-03-21
Ages 10+
Follows the life of a river from Native American time through present and details the story of human destruction of a river and the human renewal of the resource. Definitely a read for grades 5+ due to the "urgency" of environmental destruction*we don't want to scare the kids to help them appreciate the resource*
This book is fantastic for third graders!.......1998-08-23
I used this book with my third grade class when they were studying the effects of water pollution on a large body of water. They had already studied Native Americans in second grade and this book just blended the two subjects together. The step by step portrayal of man's harm to the Nashua River helped my children learn about how they were harming the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Lynne Cherry is a fantastic author and presents two great subjects that are highly interesting to children. Any teacher that teaches either Native Americans or water pollution should include this book in their lessons!
This is one of the greatest books ever written........1997-12-24
This book was given to me at age 12. I am now 17 and it is still my favorite. I will never outgrow the beautiful pictures, or the very important lesson it teaches. Every page is expertly laid out, with exquisite paintings depicting the river and the era being discussed. The message of environmental conservation and protection is inspiring. Lynne Cherry makes this vital part of our existence understandable to young children, and even adults, often the harder group to reach. I highly reccommend this book for anyone who wants their children to appreciate the world around them and learn that they can, and should, do their best to save it.
Scenic AND educational!.......1997-03-16
This is a beautiful book! The illustrations are breathtaking and it follows an almost "illuminated" type of text structure, similar to that found in "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. Each page is bordered by illustrations of items pertaining to the period in history that the page is depicting - the implements used by Native peoples, animals that live by the river, inventions of the Industrial Revolution, etc. There is much more to talk about on each page than just the environmental theme of the book. This book would fit well in units about Native people, progress/inventions, ecology, water habitats, etc.A must-have for classrooms, homes, and teachers

enchanting.......2007-07-28
This version of Titanic is by far the most graphic and fact ridden of the many books I have read about the magnificent ship. It amazes children ages 5-100! It is the kind of book that doesn't have to be read in one sitting, but keeps pulling me back to its pages.
