Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Forget global warming. The next ice age could begin any day. Beginning with the dinosaur extinction of 65 million years ago,
Not by Fire but by Ice explores the relationship between mass extinctions, ice ages, and geomagnetic reversals (times when compasses would have pointed south instead of north).

excellant book - negative reviews without fact or logic.......2007-04-18
I found the book to be very intriquing and thoughtful, much more so than the current Nazi style propaganda on climate change that the negative reviews here reflect. None of the negative reviews actually cite the science and illogic they claim is so obvious. The carbon dioxide cycle LAGS, does not lead, ice-ages. We are in a regular, normal warming cycle according to all the records for all three types of ice-ages. Carbon levels have been much higher before modern man and his puny carbon additions.
Interesting theory.......2007-01-22
This was the popular thinking about ten to fifteen years ago. Now it is "global warming". It was not an asteroid, earthquakes or the biblical flood that wiped out the dinosaurs but ice, brought on by huge snowfalls of a hundred inches. This is all speculation of course. Felix supplies us with graphs and data showing us how every 22,000 or sometimes 11,000 years the planet goes through what is called a "magnetic reversal". The North and South poles trade positions causing great calamity. Moisture is drawn up into the atmosphere eventually falling in cataclysmic amounts. We are now according to Felix entering that phase as we speak.
It is an interesting read to say the least. Most all of us will agree that an ice age occurred in our past, when is speculation. I was caught up in this about ten years ago. The truth has since sent me free. We will always have our "doomsdayers": whether flooding a third of the land by melting ice caps or a sheet of ice sliding over most of the world. Why are we so afraid to trust the bible. Not by fire or ice, or even us, but by God's wrath. A young or old earth will decide the fate of this book.
Wish you well
Scott
Political Hype on Global Warming Revealed.......2007-01-18
A must read for anyone trying to counter the prevailing jibberish on "global warming". Felix provides many facts to support his conclusion that ice will do us in not warming. What's more, it can come at any time since we are well overdue according to the long and short term historic record. See what is behind the coming cooling...it may surprise you.
Outstanding Prose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-07-17
According to radio personality Michael Reagan people have been talking about an impending ice age for at least thirty years. If an impending ice age is really such a hot topic, how come its dwarfed by literature on global warming? Thirty years is a long time for any prophesy to incuabate and not get entrenched.
Even if Felix is wrong, he is one of the most articulate science writers to ever grace the craft. He deserves great credit for this literary treasure.
Look at both sides and decide for yourself!!!.......2006-07-07
This book is a must read for those interested in our changing climate. On one side we have the Global Warming "Chicken Littles" like Al Gore who propose all climate change is human induced. On the other side we have conservative lobbyists and free-enterprise think tanks trying to discredit the Global Warming folks. Neither is entirely believable. Robert Felix presents a scarier hypothesis and an interesting counterpoint to both. An ice age would be the most catastrophic to life as we know it. Felix never denies our climate is changing.
The bottom line is that there are so many factors that could influence climate besides mankind induced CO2. Things like the Milankovitch Cycle, Volcanism, etc. Felix presents these ideas.
Like most, I believe our climate is changing. It's better to forget the political aims of liberals and conservatives, and just read as much science as you can. We might not end up where we think we're going. Time will tell who was right. An enjoyable read... 4 stars.

Starquake in the Sagittarius constellation.......2005-03-07
The book's main point may have been just recently witnessed when a recent "once in a lifetime" Starquake just happened a couple of weeks ago. Based on the book, a huge cosmic disturbance would come from the Sagittarius constellation...and by coincidence, the recent Starquake just came from the Sagittarius constellation. Need I say more?
Please type "starquake" in your search engine and look for news about it. It wasn't much publicized but it could be a cause for an extinction level event.
Tarot as Cosmological Capacitator.......2004-07-14
Earth Under Fire further develops La Violette's observations that the tarot deck has encoded within the Major Arcana cosmological processes, which he began in his book Genesis of the Cosmos. While I had trouble with some of the science he expounds, I certainly welcomed his courageous efforts to break free of the consensual bias that materialist science and its henchmen still promote. His take on astrology as also encoding cosmological phenomena is worth some serious scrutiny indeed and could pave the way for new ways to use our natal charts. I highly recommend this and his previous book as well in hopes that it will spark a much needed dimensional transformation in the sciences.

Got to learn the secret handshake first.......2001-03-21
Rather than just leave monuments all over the world saying, "hey, this is what is about to happen to us, and the same will eventually happen to you", an advanced civilization 10,000 years ago decided to leave the warning in such a cryptic way, using astrology adjusted for precession, etc, that no one in their right mind would take it seriously. To me that says that no such message was left, and is merely the product of a living imagination. Yet another book which takes catastrophe and tries to get it to behave by making it periodical and predictable.
VERRRRRY INTERESTING!!.......2000-10-23
One of the most interesting books I've read in a LONG TIME! Paul A. LaViolette is truly a Renaissance Man when it come knowledge. His never-ending curiosity has put together astronomy, astrology, tarot, mythology, hard-core science, legends, and a few hunches of his own . . . and out came a truly revolutionary theory on the periodic and cyclical extinctions that have occurred on our planet. It's been handed down to us in all of the above mentioned forms . . . but most of mankind chooses to ignore it. Paul has some REALLY good arguments for his theories. We need more people who choose to question the status quo instead of blinding believing what is set before them by the educational and religious community. GO, PAUL, GO!!
Illuminates the Book of Revelation.......1999-03-17
When I was reading and not understanding the symbolism in the Book of Revelation, Paul's book was like a floodlight in a strange mansion where rooms were filled with dark mysteries, until Paul revealed revelation in a new light. Now I understand what it means, eg. 'He comes with the clouds! are solar wind clouds, cosmic dust, and the blue light in the black sky, its all explained in a new and original, prophetic way. Hooray Paul!

If Paul was writing to living Christians, and he was,And if those Christians were being persecuted for their faith, and they were,And if Paul promised those living Christians relief from that persecution, and he did, and if Paul promised those living Christians that their relief would come "when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven", and he did,Then if Jesus did not come in the lifetime of those living Christians and give them relief from that present persecution, then,Paul was a false prophet! This is one of the greatest challenges to Biblical inspiration to be found! But, Paul did not lie, Jesus did not fail! Paul was vindicated, Jesus did not fail! Good Second Installment.......2006-12-22
Some series tend to falter when the author continues to the next book. But not here. In Fires of Prophecy, Mr. Pratt seemed to begin hitting his stride. During his search for Miko, James grows further in his magical ability and learns that the use of magic is not without consequence. I liked that. Mr. Pratt has created a hero who could potentially weild incredible power yet has instilled within him a moral compass which prevents him from abusing it.
There are two new characters which I really enjoy reading about. Jiron and Tinok. They are knife fighters extraodinaire.
I liked the action, there were several scenes where they had to escape cities and it flowed really well. Other times Jiron had to sneak about and rescue James after falling prey to the Empire's agents. They have long known how to render a mage incapable of using their powers.
This is one of the better series I've read in some time. True, it's in present tense, but that's becoming less of an obstacle as the story is quite fascinating. It's better than Jordan's Wheel of Time. The story keeps progressing, chapter after chapter. There's none of this chapters of side plots that bog the story down. No hundreds of cast to confuse and distract the reader. He stays with James through it all.
Disappointing.......2006-10-11
Based on the reviews, I was really surprised by the lack of quality in this book. It's extremely difficult to read as there as so many problems with the writing and the story is full of holes. I've read cereal boxes that were more interesting. Definitely not recommended.
More of the same.......2006-05-30
The AD&D modules of ambushes , kidnappings , liberating of kidnapped people who get again rekidnapped a bit later continue .
Compared to the first installement which was a twin of the second , it happens however on a slightly bigger scale .
In the first volume a typical fight module were 5-10 brigands while in this one we can get as much as several dozens of very evil soldiers of an even more evil Empire .
Beyond all that stands a supremely evil God .
However don't fret , James will overcome everything without breaking a sweat and liberating Miko all by himself from a fortified mine on an island guarded by hundreds of soldiers will appear as easy as saying "Hello ."
Let us be frank - while this is not Martin , S.Erikson or T.Williams the author doesn't pretend to be a great writer .
This redeems the story and puts it where it belongs - a simple AD&D adventure that can be read and forgotten .
However 1 or 2 books are more than enough to get the idea , there is not much sense to go farther .
Note from D. Goins.......2006-03-29
I ended book one with the exclamation, "Wow", and was anxious to read the second book. It also was fast-paced, exciting, suspenseful all the way through. So is Book 3, I own it too and I'm anxiously awaiting Book 4. The situations James, Miko, Jiron and all the rest find themselves in and come through are
awesome. Thank you Brian Pratt for your perseverance of the Morcyth Saga.
It never stops!!.......2006-03-22
Here in the second installment of The Morcyth Saga, James has to go and find his friend Miko who has been taken as a slave into the Empire.
My favorite scene is where Jiron fights for his sister's freedom at the Slave Market of Korazan. Wow!! And that is but one of the battle scenes within this book.
Another excellent job by Mr. Pratt. The only thing I wish is for him to get a decent editor, found several punctuation errors a couple mistypes. But they hardly take away from the enjoyment this author brings you!!
Book Description
With exceptional insight and the ability to figure things out, Michael Fortner has written an astonishing new interpretation of Bible prophecy. He shows that there is an asteroid headed for Earth that is named in the Bible. Astronomers say we will not know for sure if it will impact until 2029, and that if it impacts, it will hit Earth in 2036. But we already know that it will impact because the Bible tells us that it will. This impact will be the trigger that begins World War III. He explains the interpretation in easy to understand writing, and backs up his assertions with quotes from many sources. He proves, using scripture, reasoning, and history, that the beast with ten horns will not rule the entire globe, but only the nations around the Mediterranean Sea. He also presents evidence that the beast will be based in Islam. There have been two previous Islamic empires in history; one of them will rise again when America and Europe are weakened with natural disasters, such as tsunamis, earthquakes, and the asteroid impact. He presents compelling evidence that at the end of the Great Tribulation, the wrath of God will come upon the world in the form a huge asteroid impact that will literally burn the world, killing 98% of the global population; like what happened to the dinosaurs. Jesus did say, that when he returns to judge the world, the world will be destroyed with fire; "The day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this the day the Son of Man is revealed" (Luke 17:29-30). He covers all the important Biblical prophecy passages in both the Old and New Testaments. His insights and interpretation into the meaning of Bible prophecy is always surprising, sometimes shocking; but reasonable with good sense and wisdom.

bible prophecy.......2007-07-29
This book started out interesting. Interesting in knowledge about the Islamic faith and it's spread around the world. It then became theologically bad. No wonder the author had to print the book himself. He admits no publishing company would touch his book. It just got weird.
