Book Description
Convincing evidence that the Egyptian, Sumerian, and Dogon civilizations were founded by aliens from the Sirius star system who are now ready to return
• Updated with 140 pages of new scientific evidence that solidifies the hypothesis that the KGB, CIA, and NASA attempted to suppress
• An awe-inspiring work of research that calls for a profound reappraisal of our role in the universe
• Over 10,000 copies sold in its first two months of release in Britain
Publication of
The Sirius Mystery in 1976 set the world abuzz with talk of an extraterrestrial origin to human civilization and triggered a 15-year persecution campaign against Robert Temple by the KGB, CIA, NASA, and other government agencies. Undaunted, however, Temple is back, with 140 pages of new scientific evidence that makes his hypothesis more compelling than ever.
Many authors have speculated on the subject of extraterrestrial contact, but never before has such detailed evidence been presented. Temple applies his in-depth knowledge of ancient history, mythology, Pythagorean physics, chaos theory, and Greek, to a close examination of the measurements of the Great Pyramid of Giza, which was built to align directly with the star Sirius. He concludes that the alien civilization of Sirius and our own civilization are part of the same harmonic system, and are destined to function and resonate together. His findings warrant a profound reappraisal of our role in the universe.

Volume 1 (of 12) The Explorer Race.......2007-05-18
If I had enough money I would buy this book for everyone. Before I forget, it is constructed in the form of questions and answers which draw out in detail material which will cause you to figuratively say, "OK, UNCLE...I surrender; you got me on your side no matter where I thought I was when I began reading." A Harvard Harvard Law corporate lawyer is reading it and appears to be "hooked"; Hare Krishna devotee friends are reading it and responding; many other different friends are reading it. This book is discombobulating, astounding, life changing (because perspective is changed). It has no loopholes; other channeling comes from regions where the inhabitants have stopped growing because their societies have no polarity, no negativity. Everything is very ideal. Material in this book is addressed to US. Far from being beings who have something to be ashamed of, having been born on earth, with nothing very profound to offer any other inhabitants of other places (such as the ideal societies above) - or each other...we are unique and honored (by others) for being here in what we are doing. What ARE we doing??? You must read the book! Nothing you currently understand about yourself or anything prepares you for what Zoosh, end-time historian, gives in this book. Zoosh is the one responsible for its contents. Shapiro is extraordinarily gifted to access Zoosh. You have nearly 600 pages to enjoy. I guarantee you will be changed as a result - for the better, and you will have a "secret" you will want to share with everyone, because it is so good. Don't worry - it doesn't matter what religion you espouse.
Among the contents, just one gives a flavor, the war between the sexes is real, albeit some adjustments are coming to pass (once you read this, relating becomes more fun, however), and why you cannot imagine, in detail. Buy many copies and give them to friends. I am going beyond my comfort zone to do so. EVERYONE needs to see this - no matter your outer calling, label, vocation - . The Explorer Race
Interesting read.......2007-04-03
The explorer race is one of the most challenging books that I read, mainly because of the type of genre (a book channeled by another entity). However, after I got past that notion, the book itself had alot of truth and concepts that can give you a better understanding of life that is here and beyond. One important point to make is that when reading this book is that other dimensions of reality exist beyond most of what we perceive, so to truly benefit from this book come to it with an open mind and you will leave with a new concept of "Reality" and a new mind.
Satisfaction of Human Questioning.......2000-12-08
"These books have satisfied a deep need in me to know the answers to the age-old questions we all have asked: Why is there so much suffering in the world? Will there ever be peace on Earth? Who am I? Why am I here? Where did I come from? The answers to these questions are so awe-inspiring and heart-warming that it is impossible for me to see any members of mankind as anything less than a hero - or divine hero - because these books tell us that we are here on this small planet in all the vastness of creation, of which our universe is a small part, to serve and expand the consciousness of all creation in a truly magnificent way."
One of The Finest channeled books I've come across.......2000-02-22
If you are new to this genre of reading or if you as myself are a well seasoned reader/seeker of truth and new age (I hate that term from the neg. conotations it has generated) info. This book is an excellent source. It is put together very well and the other books in the series are also excellent! I have wide background in this type of info. A lot of which is personal. If you want to learn about the BIG Picture about life on earth and beyond this is a great book for a novice /pro. I'm telling you this book is dead-on. I especially like the fact that the info. here is not in any way fear based or scary. Every Chapter will leave you with good a warm feeling. (his "shinning the light series" deals with the dark issues) The work is pepered with things that you can put into practice. It really ties in all of the other "realites" that you may have come across in other books. Shapiro is a powerfull Channel and his group asks really good questions and have payed attention to all the info. that has come acrosss as in other books by him as well . The main contact is "Zoosh" who is disembodied entity that has a perspective as High and in-depth as our Creator's. (the answer to as why this is so is a great surprise as well) Part of me wants to leakout some of the info. to you that's in the book, but there's to much to choose from, and the topics taken out of context would sound mind-blowing in some cases. Besides I wouldn't want to detract you from your adventure! Read it and find yourself saying AH-HA time and time again! It all makes perfect sense! ---Peace
Mind expanding information about our human origins.......1999-09-28
This is a fascinating and informative description of the origins of humanity. Forget about Darwin, and the pitiful history courses we all took. This stuff is mind-blowing, witty, and a lot of fun. You couldn't make this up -- it's too unique. I've read SF my whole life, and this was a lot better than any SF book! A must-read for seekers of truth.

Ageless Wisdom With An 'Attitude'.......2007-04-08
I laughed out loud when I first discovered this little gem in a Northampton, MA bookstore, in the early 1990s. Since then, I've read and re-read it several times. It's language and insights could almost have come from some young tatooed and pierced skate-boarders I have known. Yet the wisdom and humor are on a par with that found in Neale Walsch's "Conversations With God."
Put this on your bookshelf along side Ken Carey's lyrically profound "Starseed Transmissions," and the refreshingly matter-of-fact transcriptions of Lisette Larkin's "Talking With Extraterrestrials" and "Listening to Extraterrestrials." Reading and pondering "101" and these other books have helped me to appreciate why we humans have chosen to incarnate on this planet at this time.
A timeless and prophetic book........2005-05-08
I thought, "how interesting, a little book on science fiction". How very wrong I was. This book was written in 1990 according to the first several pages and I must say its prophetic, filled with wry humor and great insights to todays earthly condition.
It was well written, well organized and to the point with very little excess. I see this book similar to eating peanuts: "don't need to eat very many and your full". Its chock full of great stuff and worth more than what it is selling for I must say.
New Age with honest humor. .......2005-05-05
Something I've never seen before... a book about walk-ins and extraterrestrials which is intentionally humorous, witty, and does a good job at it! I wasn't expecting anything other than something solemn and serious about love and light. It's quite good. Although it defines all the terms it uses at the beginning, it still assumes you have a pretty good idea what those things are. The humor isn't as confusing as it could be... it's still way more comprehensible than a lot of New Age books I've read. The book's stance and behavior seems to be entirely different from most New Age books I've read, despite how its goal is evidently the same. (Preparing the world for its upcoming changes, which include heightened vibration, commonness of androgyny, etc.) There are title headings such as "Look Jane, see Spot transmute" and "When in Rome, do as Acturians."
A little nice cult following.......2004-01-26
You can get this one from David Icke. He has a good few of them in stock. Basically it is a little gem of book designed around the notion that humans are really alien intergallatic do-gooders but some have lost their path and done all sorts of wrong things on way because of the birth process. So ET 101 tries to set the record straight on what Mission Control really wanted you to do.
It is a fun book full or morals and good virtues. It is quite funny at times and does have a cult following.
Highly Recommended.
Best Kept Secret of the New Millennium.......2002-10-22
One of the best days of my life was the day in 1993 when I "accidentally" found this book. Since then, I've read it completely almost thirty times, and often use it as a reference manual and divination tool. It's one of the funniest serious books ever written. If you're reading this, then it's probably for you. It's a gift of incomparable value to those of us trying to make sense of our lives. I'm still in awe of how this incredibly important information was delivered in such a user-friendly style. It never fails to bring me to laughter and tears...sometimes at the same time. I turn to it when I'm feeling down, and I turn to it when I'm exultant. If I could only have five books in my life, this would be one of them.

Book Description
Early traditions speak of the arrival of "radiant beings from heaven," self-sacrificing guardians of the human race who have reincarnated as pivotal figures in the panorama of human history to assist in the work of evolution. Secret Places of the Lion shows how these "great ones" have helped mankind for thousands of years, hiding their secrets in tombs, caverns, temple ruins, and catacombs. Posing as wanderers, they would declare universal wisdom and truth at certain periods of history when people were prepared to receive it; then they would withdraw for a time to see what was done with the new-found knowledge. Thus, the rises and plateaus of our cultural history emerged.
Classic in the UFO field.
Many years after his death, the author still has a devoted following.

Far Out to Lunch..........2006-05-22
George Hunt Williamson was a very strange character indeed, and this is one of his first books, originally published in 1958, and having been kept pretty much continuously in print ever since. Any trip to a used book store will turn up several earlier paperback editions.
Williamson basically retells a portion of the history of ancient Egypt, and recites the mythology of the Old and New Testaments, but reshuffles most dates (where there are dates) by up to 1,000 years and presents the whole story as the continuous adventures of about six different characters, continuously reincarnated, most of whom start out in the imaginary Theosophical Lemuria.
At the bottom of every other page, Williamson notes that "records will soon be discovered" to confirm the details of his story, but is fairly coy (if not completely reticent) about where he himself got those details which he recites without reference or source. Actually, Williamson was pretty handy with a Ouija board, and I suspect his "boarding sessions" (as he called them) were the main source of the "plot" of the present volume. Every once in a while, Williamson mentions the (imaginary) monastery of "The Brotherhood of the Seven Rays" near Lake Titicaca in Peru, as invented by mid-1950s flying saucer cult leader Marion Dorothy Martin. Not coincidentally, Williamson was a follower of the cult, and I suspect some details here are owed to Martin, not to Williamson's imagination. At least one of Williamson's later books was written under the pen name of "Brother Philip," described as a supposed member of the monastery. The "ancient astronaut" or "space god" theme later popularized by Von Daeniken is continuously present within the story, yet not ever a major part of it.
For those familar with the lore of pseudoscience, the best thumbnail description of the book is that it's a deconstruction of the Old and New Testaments based largely on Theosophy. It's also completely valueless for any imaginable purpose... even as merely an example of imaginative fiction. Like many 1950s "ufoological" books, it's a volume of which one can say, "What hath Madame Helena P. Blavatsky wrought?"
The Truth In A New Light.......2002-02-27
This book reveals the truths of ages lost and understandings that man has fogotten. It is definitely is a book to read if you wish to understand the true nature of the Light and those who help it to progress.
A striking esoteric deep view.......1999-04-08
You need to be already familiar with esotericism to read and appreciate that, but for those who are ready, it is of good value. This book gives the right light on Egypt and Israel servants of light, children of the stars. I'm understanding now how the two are linked, are part of the same thing. Very good indeed.
Not to be missed or you will never get home!.......1999-03-08
This book is the ticket for all those who feel that they have been a Someone (not of this place) before and feel instinctively that they are lost, trapped in this dimension and a long, long way from home.

War In Heaven: The Case For A Solar System War. (1892264021) After studying over 300 translations of the Ancient Mesopotamian and Vedic Scriptures, C. L. Turnage has uncovered incredible evidence of real-life "Star Wars" which will continue during our life time. War In Heaven is a must read for anyone concerned with an alternative historical picture of humankind''s ancient history and possible future according to ancient texts. This second book in a series of two (The Holy Bible Is An Extraterrestrial Transmission) presents a variety of evidence that there may have been a frightening solar system war about 2,000 years ago. Photographs of crater anomalies taken by NASA probes seem to indicate that craters on the moon and Mars are not randomly placed, as would be expected from natural causes. These probes, as well as evidence brought back by Apollo astronauts, verify the use of nuclear weapons on the surface of the moon. According to archaic and modern sources, this ultimate war is not over! Find out what will happen when the planet, Nibiru once again reaches the asteroid belt during the biblical "DAY OF THE LORD". Learn who the leader of the Serpent Faction is. Explore why the Nibirian Physiology is connected to the orbit of the Planet Nibiru and understand the "END TIMES". Fear monger - and stupid too.......2005-12-07
Just listening to the voice of the author makes my skin crawl - he has the typical overtones or a religious fanatic (download his speech from his website to hear what I mean). Of course its all about aliens who are on the verge of invasion etc. - just now of course, they could have done this millenia before but no - now is the time (why - I dont know and the author doesnt reveal). "God has given us the power to save this world" (quote) - a soul at the level to see god as a (bearded?) entity outside himself isnt possibly able to enlighten me further I'm afraid. Dont waste your cash on this trash.
Wake Up!!!.......2004-12-15
Wake up!!!
The book "Allies of Humanity" tells us that while we continue to ponder whether we are alone in the universe, speculators from several cultures in the Greater Community are on earth considering how to exploit our planet and it resources--including humanity--for their own purposes. Our ignorance is their greatest advantage over us.
An empowering Teaching has been provided to us, facilitated by the work of author Marshall Vian Summers. The Teaching unfolded in his books reveals Knowledge to the reader. In the books "Allies of Humanity Volumes 1 and 2", "Wisdom From the Greater Community Volumes 1 and 2", "Greater Community Spirituality", and "Steps to Knowledge", we are given information that we need to grow into the stature that is required of us as individuals, and as a race.
This Teaching is ancient; its truths are universal. When the need arises, as it has in our time, Teachers of Wisdom in the Greater Community adapt the methodology of teaching to the world where it is needed.
Knowledge as it is known, and Wisdom as it is practiced by the mature races in the Greater Community are our first best defenses against the persuasion, and the pacification program, of the opportunistic speculators who want our world.
You are called to receive this gift that will mature our race. You who want to make a real and lasting contribution to Life, here it is. Here is the flame; light your torch and prepare yourself; there is Work for us to do.
OK book for the novice, but I'm skeptical about the author.......2004-05-14
I've always been very skeptical of most channnels, and Summers' is no exception. The scenerio in his book, has been around for nearly 2 decades. The information in this book could have easily been inspired by Val Valerian's "Matrix" book series, which has been around since the inception of the Internet. DO NOT CONFUSE VALERIAN'S BOOKS WITH THE MATRIX MOVIE. The Matrix volumes will send you running for the blue pill, as it challenges ALL human illusions and hang ups....its great, fabulous, and it'll break you surely and completely, so as to allow you to open up to really changing your perspective. Also, The shocking alien books by David Icke, don't buffer the reader either, and his material is based on eyewitness accounts. Icke also, has been around much longer that Summers.
Also, I felt the book had the slightest cult like undertone to it, which I try to avoid like the plague, as they are most often "fear magnets". The only thing to fear would be our inability to shed the many illusions that we have been drenched with since human birth, like gender identification. I don't necessarily believe we are destined to "overcome" or "defeat" the aliens, etc. We are players in a game. When we leave the planet, the games over, until we come back and do it again. If that idea sounds miserable, and you don't wish to return to suffering, and manipulative aliens and governments...then its time to evolve while in your present incarnation. Remove all your present earthly illusions and move on.
I gave "Allies" 3 stars anyway, because it is a good starter book for the sheeple, and since its based on truth, it really doesn't matter whether Summers channeled it or took the idea from other sources. Its only the beginning though. Read it, THEN read what you need: trufax.org which I believe is Val Valerian's material, and David Ickes' books too.
Unfortunately, it's probably true.......2004-04-27
Like some of the other reviewers, I was greatly disturbed by this book - mostly because in my inner core I feel that it is true. It makes entire sense - there are no contradictions between what is said in this book and my inner beliefs. It does not ask us to do anything contrary to our nature or bad for us. Indeed, it harkens us to be even more diligent on our spiritual paths. Actually, what is asked of each of us is relatlively simple - be aware, use discernment, and don't trust strangers and their promises. The difficult part is to get most of humanity to cast aside their illusions and do this.
The Allies of Humanity only ask us to actually learn from our mistakes - we routinely say that history repeats itself, yet in the Western world we cannot fathom that we will be the natives that are conquered. I do believe, however, that our own media is preparing us - Independence Day, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, They Live, the X-Files: Films and shows that are introducing us to the idea of extraterrestrials, showing that some would like to take what we have, and issuing a rallying cry for all the peoples of the world to unite and stand firm against the invaders, even it it seems like we are against the odds. This has certainly been a cornerstone of the human spirit, especially American spirit, and I only pray that enough people become aware of the truth and use their inner wisdom to distinguish foes from friends.
Puts all the pieces together.......2004-04-09
I loved this book, it was very straight forward and easy to understand. After reading this book a lot of what I have been reading on the UFO phenomenom has become very clear, the causation of it all and everything. The book speaks of God as we do; God of the universe, but doesn't mention a devil. I was forced to wonder and take my religious beliefs into context. Still just as confused but I still gave it a 4 star review and bought Steps to Knowledge by Mr. Summers.

In the 1970s, Erich von Däniken sparked a wave of public and scientific debate with Chariots of the Gods?, which postulated that certain archaeological sites pointed to earthly visits by extraterrestrials in the predawn of human history. Since then his ideas have been both attacked as ludicrous and praised as genius, but Däniken himself steers a middle course and simply maintains that his theory is the logical conclusion to be drawn from the evidence. In his latest book, Arrival of the Gods, Däniken returns to South America in search of further proof supporting his ideas, but instead of regurgitating photos and measurements of the familiar scratch drawings on the Nazca plain, he flies to the Palpa mountains, where he finds his evidence, among other things, in the form of giant mandalas and an enormous grid of lines that closely resembles the landing aids found in modern airports. Color photographs of Däniken's discoveries burst from the pages of Arrival of the Gods, accompanied by prose that barely contains his contagious excitement over these striking earthworks. Anyone who has previously dismissed Däniken's work out of hand should beware: there is much more going on here than the odd prattlings of a single subversive author. --Brian Patterson
Book Description
With his 1970's blockbuster Chariots of the Gods, Erich von Däniken challenged the scientific community to open their minds to new possibilities: "Suppose the ancient supernatural beings of traditional religions are no mere figments of mythological imagination, but are arrivals from outside our planet. Now, the world-famous author continues his controversial research into extraterrestrial visitation. Von Däniken's latest offering draws on mountains of new evidence of unexplained phenomena, from UFO sightings and alleged abductions to archaeological discoveries of unearthly-looking beings, as well as research on human genetics that casts light on our origins outside the solar system. Armed with a collection of color photos, charts, and illustrations, Von Däniken re-examines ancient texts and cave drawings of strange beasts with no known counterparts of the times, to support his theory that they could have been created by aliens, and to form an audacious conclusion: "We are much on the minds of other life-forms in the universe."

Readable.......2002-01-04
If you like Von Daniken then you want to read what his views are on the Nazca lines and their extaraterrestrial origins.
Bunk........2002-01-01
I can hardly believe this man is still up to it or that there are enough readers to keep him at it. ......would be a nice start for you.
Fascinating Book !!!.......2001-04-05
This book was the first english book of Erich Von Daniken I read. I really enjoyed it either because of its big amount of beautiful pictures and because of Daniken's writing that really fascinated me!
This is an exellent book and i recommend it!!!
Beautiful photos -- possibly flawed reasoning.......2001-03-31
Von Daniken has always been an interesting author, and this book is no exception. It is filled with beautiful color photos of Nazca and figures from the Cabrera collection. And, as will all of this author's books, it will make you stop and think.
BUT (you knew there was a BUT coming, didn't you?), there are flaws in his reasoning. After arguing that footprints of workers would still be visible if the lines were made to celebrate religious festivals, or for giant weavings (two theories of his detractors), he then states unequivocably that the lines and drawings were made by the ancient people to attract back "gods" which they had seen land there earlier. Excuse me -- doesn't the same argument that footprints would still be visible (and aren't) apply???????
On the other hand, he does make some interesting points. I had never before heard the theory that the flattening of infant's skulls, done by some Native Americans, may have been in imitation of the heads of the alien "gods". It's something to think about.
Bottom line: buy it for the pictures, and read it -- but keep a grain of salt available at all times.
Enthralling and compelling new evidence.......2001-01-21
Erich Von Daniken has done it again with his new and exciting book on Nazca. Through times of rebuttal of things said about him in the past, Von Daniken keen intellect and perceptions of the Nazca keep the reader riveted to his astounding new evidence.ARRIVAL OF THE GODS presents even more evidence that you must view Nazca from the air. But why, Erich Von Daniken proves that the latest theories about the line are astoundingly outrageous. Nazca lines have to be seen from the air, but who was able to see them, so many years ago, is really the question.

EXPLAINS A LOT ABOUT UFO BEHAVIOR.......2006-01-08
The strange tales of lights in the sky moving in seemingly-impossible ways, craft that land and leave marks on the ground, abductions by odd-looking humanoids, animal mutilations and all the other stories associated with UFOs are largely ignored by the media and by academic scholars. Since there is no explanation for them that fits our current knowledge of how the universe works, people who want to avoid being ridiculed tend to pretend these things don't exist. Some brave souls have tackled the problem and offered "explanations" that may fit some of the tales -- those involved are hallucinating, making it up, or have seen meteors, the moon, ball lightening, or swamp gas.
Others who say these phenomena are produced by alien beings from other planets find themselves on the fringe of respectability and some have lost their academic positions because they took the abduction stories seriously (Dr. John Mack is one such). But now comes Richard L. Thompson to offer another view of these weird happenings. I'm an admirer of Thompson's work on a favorite book, Forbidden Archeology, and I've also read a lot of the same books he uses as sources for Alien Identities. Here, Thompson makes parallels between what happens to those involved with UFOs (sightings and contact) and stories from Indian Vedic sources, both ancient and modern.
I find these comparisons compelling, but also found it difficult to keep track of the various Vedic books and concepts he discusses. The Vedic sources, many going back thousands of years, are largely unknown in mainstream US society. But the basics of the Vedic belief-system are similar to current spiritual ideas that are widespread - the idea that we all have an etheric double, the existence of the Spirit world, the idea of other realms of existence, reincarnation, and the idea that spirits are all around us.
Like Thompson, I found the stories told by Betty Andreasson (in the Raymond Fowler books) to appear to relate the aliens to beings that exist in the spirit world. She sometimes traveled in her astral body and was able to float through solid objects (like doors and walls) and she saw the beings turn into pure light. Whitley Streiber and others relate similar stories.
Many contactees have been given information about the human race, sometimes warnings, sometimes predictions, and sometimes the material is very bizarre. The aliens who impart this information are also sometimes bizarre, wearing odd costumes and imitating humans, but not getting it quite right. An example is the Men in Black whose clothing and behavior is often inappropriate, but who purport to be acting in some official capacity.
As with spirit communication, people receiving these messages may assume that because the source (they believe) is alien, it must be true. But when you study the literature of spirit communication, you realize that spirits exist at many levels and their perceptions of reality are limited, just as with us. There are also spirits who are inimical to those they contact, who deliberately give misinformation. The same appears to be the case with aliens. Could spirits and aliens be the same entities?
Thompson relates the UFO craft to the ancient Indian vimanas (flying machines), and provides much information I have not seen in other sources. For instance, he tells us most of these vimanas were not built by humans, but rather were built by the various entities of other realms, who can interact with humans. He also tells us these dwellers of other realms are related to us and can breed with us, explaining why so many ancient books (including the Bible) talk of intermarriage between man and gods. And also explaining the many stories of aliens stealing human sperm or impregnating human women.
Thompson's analysis of UFOs in relation to Vedic literature is well thought-out, but of course the author is seeing them within his own belief system, where they are a better fit than with mainstream Western Christian belief systems. He does give some examples from non-Oriental sources (apparition at Fatima, Irish faeries, etc.) to show the persistence of these entities in human experience. He explores some of the same territory covered by Jacques Vallee in his excellent books on the UFO phenomena.
This book gives insight into a different way to understand UFOs, that goes beyond "little green men" from outer space zipping around in space ships. It is a worthwhile read for anyone interested in understanding the mystery of UFOs.
A down to earth context for out of this world ideas........2004-12-30
One of the difficulties in the 'UFOlogy' field is that there are plenty of offbeat accounts, and in some cases evidence but mostly in pieces, or without context, or with potential other explanations. (There is more than most people are aware of, though.)
Authors such as Dr. Jacques Vallee have given interesting historical overviews of UFO lore. Of course, all these accounts are 'accounts' and 'Lore', they are not scientific evidence, but since these experiences don't seem to happen on command inside a science lab, this may account for that problem. The fact that the surgeon general has not yet made a ruling about the existence or effect of UFOs or 'experiences' potentially related, will not change whether they or the experiences exist.
ALIEN IDENTITIES is a book title I cringe to give to people and consider an embarrassment to the content. Consider it was written when such a title (not to mention Streiber as an intro) were apparently considered a hot sell and hence the publisher promo. The CONTENT of the book has a calm, fair, respectability in its own fashion that belies the assumption and hype of the title.
This book is a great introduction for people new to the subject. The first half is a recount of documented Vedic history, which is part and parcel of their religion. The second half is a recount of documented recent history--accounts in the UFOlogy field. Which, like religious history, are equally tenuous and unprovable.
However, when you read the detail from the historical accounts, and then you read the detail of claims from the last half century, the parallel is more than just striking. It's pretty much obvious to anybody with half a brain and no major personal bias that the modern day accounts are clearly talking about some of the same kind of things as the ancient accounts.
In the context of how seriously we should take modern accounts, for which we have little hard proof and a lot of confusion, a realization that they are hardly a novel new result of science fiction books is important.
In the context of religion, "the Gods," and many accounts biblical as well as Vedic, it is thought provoking to say the least.
I highly recommend this book. It reads well, it is interesting, it is informative, and it doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. It makes no claims. It is one of the very few UFOlogy related books that I have kept on my shelves for years.
One of the most brilliant books I have read!.......2004-01-22
Very well-researched and insightful work by Thompson! I have read it from cover to cover not once but thrice - undoubtedly one of the most original ufological literatures I have come across, and it also did confirm many of my own ideas about the ancient accounts of vimanas in the classical Sanskrit writings. A book I would recommend to anyone anyday, though maybe not for a serious intellectual discourse. Nevertheless, an awesome read!
Vimanas.......2002-01-05
I always found it very interesting how ancient writings, in this case ancient Indian texts descibing flying machines dating back to 3000B.C. This made want to learn more about this subject.
Good narrative on Vedic texts. Poor on relating to FO phenom.......2001-11-06
This is a very interesting book. There is lot of information on Vedic texts. However, there are one too many references to topics like abductions and UFO sightings.
A word of CAUTION that most of the pages in this book are filled with narratives/reports (with no scientific backing whatsoever) that in some or the other way are linked to the Vedic texts.
I've read this book over and over and enjoy each time. However, I usually read the chapters on Hindu mythology and avoid the UFO reports. Especially, the concept of interdimensional travel by Demi-Gods is very interesting.
Could have been a four star if MORE material on Hindu mythology was presented and the "insight" was based on scientific reasoning.

Perspectives From Beyond .......2005-05-05
Anybody who has sifted through the cornucopia of books that attempt to shed light on UFOs and the ETs who pilot them knows one thing for certain. There is loads of confusion and nothing close to a consensus viewpoint on why the ETs are here and what they want. This is a breakthrough book, recieved by Marshall Summers as a series of briefings from a group of benign ETs who have observed Earth from a secure location within our solar system. The Allies have endured attempted subjugation by the same "Collectives" of resource explorers who are now abducting, studying and interbreeding with hundreds of thousands of men and women around the globe. Simply put, the human race is being discovered by a race of ETs who are very self interested and very skilled in the art of persuasion in the "mental environment." For humanity there is no hiding and no turning back. The ET presence is growing day by day, week by week. and it must be met with sobriety and no illusions. The time has come to establish human sovereigny. This book will reveal to you why this is so.
Wake Up!!!.......2005-04-22
Wake up!!!
The book Allies of Humanity tells us that while we continue to ponder whether we are alone in the universe, speculators from several cultures in the Greater Community are on earth considering how to exploit our planet and it resources--including humanity--for their own purposes. Our ignorance is their greatest advantage over us.
An empowering Teaching has been provided to us, facilitated by the work of author Marshall Vian Summers. The Teaching unfolded in his books reveals Knowledge to the reader. In the books Allies of Humanity Volumes 1 and 2, Wisdom From the Greater Community Volumes 1 and 2, Greater Community Spirituality, and Steps to Knowledge, we are given information that we need to grow into the stature that is required of us as individuals, and as a race.
This Teaching is ancient; its truths are universal. When the need arises, as it has in our time, Teachers of Wisdom in the Greater Community adapt the methodology of teaching to the world where it is needed.
Knowledge as it is known, and Wisdom as it is practiced by the mature races in the Greater Community, are our first best defenses against the persuasion, and the pacification program, of the opportunistic speculators who want our world.
You are called to receive this gift that will mature our race. You who want to make a real and lasting contribution to Life, here it is. Here is the flame; light your torch and prepare yourself; there is Work for us to do.
Why are they really here?.......2005-03-20
Most people acknowledge the existence of UFOs, and therefore of an extraterrestrial presence in our airspace. Many believe that humans have been abducted, examined and forced to take part in unexplained medical experiments. Many also speak of "space brothers" and of ET visitors who are here to save us and our planet from war, poverty and ecological disaster. Why are they really here?
If one accepts the premise that there is other intelligent life in the universe, one must ask why these entities would expend tremendous effort, energy and equipment to reach our earth. If we look at our own history as an example, and we ask why humans have expended effort, energy and equipment to visit new worlds, what do we learn? Did Columbus come to the Americas to share his peaceloving spirituality, or his knowledge of technology? Did Cortez bring peace and prosperity to the Aztecs? On a more modern note, does Wal-Mart bring economic security to communities and small businesses?
What has always been the fuel behind expansion and exploration? Unfortunately, it is usually the strong seeking to exploit the weak - for their land, their water, their oil, their workforce. Why would ET be any different? Do we think greed, empire-building and power-seeking are strictly human traits?
But there must be good ETs up there, too, you say. Yes, just as there are good humans. Are the good humans the ones who exploited Africa for gold and diamonds, America for land, wildlife and other vast resources, Iraq for oil? The wise and the spiritually advanced do not violate other people's sovereign rights by visiting their lands with no invitation, by kidnapping their citizens or by stealing their resources. But they say they are here to help, you argue. Of course they do. Do you think they will tell you they are here to help themselves?
This book is a wake up call for every human on earth. Columbus is coming back, and this time we're the Indians. Read the book. Learn what we can do to help people realize our earth is a gift, and that we must protect her from those who would take her from us.
