A collection of the first four issues of the popular Lenore comic book series. Lenore: Noogies is a romp into the dark, surreal world of a little dead girl. Amazing!!! =).......2007-05-25
I have all the Lenore books, but this one is the best!!! =) it's really funny!! I love it
Ahh, I don't know what it is.........2007-02-15
... but all of the Lenore comics are just so morbidly hilarious that you keep wanting to read more. Can't wait to read what Dirge comes up with next.
Cooties is great!.......2007-02-13
This is Dirge at his best. If you don't laugh out loud at this collection of comics starring Lenore:The Cute Little Dead Girl, you may want to check yourself for a pulse! I love Lenore and have gone through this book more than once when I wanted a good laugh. Another to add to the collection, for sure.
Can't get enough of the adorable little dead girl!.......2006-04-12
The adorable little dead girl is back! It's been a long time coming for fans of Roman Dirge's Lenore, but finally the comic installments nine through twelve have been collected in a creepy little collection appropriately entitled "Cooties."
This collection takes a bit of a different twist than has been seen in the two previous graphic novels. Rather than a haphazard helping of short anecdotes, Cooties has a flowing plot line that takes it's readers back to when Lenore first left the realm of the dead. The Dark Overlord sends minions, including the heinous bounty hunter Ouchie Boo Boo, off to bring the little dead girl back to Heck where she belongs, but will they be successful in their quest?
In addition to the four comics, the graphic novel contains some extras. Roman Dirge has added an intriguing introduction. There are a few pages of tattoo flash artwork. Also included are some "pinups" done by other people that are all great variations on the Lenore theme. Let's not forget the ever-popular "Things involving me," short, anecdotal tales about Roman Dirge himself.
If you still can't get enough of Lenore, Mr. Gosh, Ragamuffin, and Pooty after the previous eight comics, then you definitely won't be disappointed by Cooties! I love this new turn Roman Dirge has taken with the Lenore story line, along with Dirge's amazing artwork, and I anxiously await future installments to the series!

Good enough.......2007-08-16
This strategy guide provides a very in depth analysis of every single situation, item, side mission, and extra in the game. The only thing it was missing was an analysis of the game for the 'Extra Hard' Difficulty, since there is a great difference in the game in this mode.
If you've got Dirge of Cereberus, you might as well get this at the same time in the two-at-once-for-slightly-cheaper deal offered on this page.
Finaly, a game featuring Vincent.......2007-04-15
This game doesn't need a guide because it is fairly simple, you are Vincent and you shoot people. Simple. However, there are extras that, Vincent or FF fans do not want to miss out on. I suggest getting the guide if you want the best out of the game. If you haven't bought the game or the guide already then do so.
Great game in the on going series of Final Fantasy.......2007-03-08
Has to be one of the best games of the series. The game is fun and challagening will make you use all your resources to bet the game. Enjoy and have fun
Dirge of Cerberus.......2007-02-20
Love the dark colour of the scenery. It helped alot with the mapping as it is more clearer than the game.
Dirge of Cerbus for PS2.......2007-01-12
Its part of the Final Fantasy series so of course its great!

Graphic SF Reader.......2007-09-03
A few things hit in this issue. Another assassin, but a sneaky one. A massive storm hits the city, and at the same time, a serious case of the blue flu hits the police force.
Spider's illness is getting much worse, but here he gets a lot of help from the filthy assistants, as he tries to get everything done before he can't work anymore. Yelena herself is even growing to look more Spider-like.
They do have some friends, and aid comes from an unlikely source.
Spider strikes again.......2003-08-04
The latest TPB of this fantastic series features a pretty big plot point for our bowel-disrupting hero, Spider Jerusalem. This is definately NOT the book for an unsuspecting reader who is new to transmet to purchase. You'll want to start from the beginning.
That said, it's obvious from the stories in this volume that the series is coming to a final end. It has ended for all of you who bought the issues themselves, but for late-comers such as myself, you'd better start savoring the time you spend with Spider as much as possible.
The meat of this collection is the 4 part story featuring a huge storm, which thrusts Spider into a deep coma. We meet one of the Filthy Assistants father, and gear up for the last dozen or so issues of the series. Issues 43-48 are reprinted in lovely colour, a great cover, and the standard vertigo TPB fare. Transmet stops at issue 60, so you'd better pay catch up before the we hit bottom!

First, humanity establishes ties with intelligent, extraterrestrial bugs. Some 20 years later, humanity makes first contact with intelligent, extraterrestrial babes. Or so goes the chronology in Alan Dean Foster's Humanx Commonwealth, as detailed in the second book of the Founding of the Commonwealth prequel trilogy. Following up on Phylogenesis, Dirge fleshes out the foundation for the universe that's home to the ever-popular Pip and Flinx, among other Foster favorites. And while it's not exactly Heinlein, Dirge provides essential background for fans of all the Humanx books in typical action-packed Foster style.
The space babes in question call themselves the Pitar, and after somewhat stunted relations with the insectoid Thranx (first contacted in Nor Crystal Tears), humanity falls all over itself fawning over this "drop-dead, overpoweringly, stunningly gorgeous"--if strangely reticent--new race. But everything isn't what it seems, of course, or there wouldn't be much of a story here. Not to give anything away, but even the most unobservant reader will soon realize that something's suspicious about these alluring aliens--especially when 600,000 colonists on the otherwise boring outpost of Treetrunk are swiftly, brutally, and mysteriously exterminated. --Paul Hughes
Book Description
Alan Dean Foster has written more than twenty novels set in the Humanx Commonwealth, an unforgettable world where humans, thranx, AAnn, and numerous other aliens live and work side by side. But the amicable relationships between species have always hung in a tenuous balance between distrust and diplomacy. Dirge is the second thrilling novel in The Founding of the Commonwealth, an adventure that delves deeper into the fragile early years when humans made first contact.
In the second half of the twenty-fourth century, diplomatic relations proceed cautiously between thranx and humans, who are slow to overcome their aversion to the insectlike beings. But the lowly thranx are nearly forgotten with the sudden discovery of an ideal planet to colonize--Argus V--and the startling appearance of a new race of space-faring aliens. People are dazzled by the beautiful, glamorous pitar. Then tragedy strikes.
A cargo ship making a routine delivery to Argus V finds a scene of grisly carnage has replaced the bustling new world. The entire human population-- 600,000 men, women, and children--has been brutally slaughtered. Not one survivor or a single clue remains to identify the unseen executioners. Even the combined efforts of all alien species prove fruitless in the search for killers who have perpetrated planetary genocide on such a vast scale.
But from a tiny inner moon of Argus V comes a faint, wavering signal--and on that insignificant chunk of rubble lies the key to the crime. The cataclysm that follows is replete with shock and deadly consequences for thranx, pitar, and human alike. For their worlds will change forever by the colossal space battle that is both in their future and their destiny.

turning point in the commonwealth.......2003-03-18
Twists and Turns....Makes the whole of the Commonwealth make sense. If you are a Flinx or just a Foster Commonwealth fan this book is a must.
More Thranx, less Pitar please.......2002-11-03
Dirge is Book 2 of the Founding of the Commonwealth (thus the sequel to Phylogenesis). Dirge picks up pretty much where Phylogenesis leaves off, humans and Thranx trying to figure out how to work together to grow their civilizations. I guess Foster wanted to emphasize what a big step it was for the early members of the commonweath to overcome the innate horror one would feel in the presence of the Thranx (who we remember look like big, nice smelling, bugs). In order to empasize the point Foster introduces the Pitar. Humanlike aliens who are by all accounts visually perfect to humans. The humans obsession with the Pitar threatens to delay to continuation of human/Thranx cooperation until as expected it is revealed the the Pitar are evil misanthropes who wish to destroy all life they meet (isn't that always the case?). Needless to say the Thranx help us commit genocide against the Pitar and all ends well. Overall this book was fine, but I wanted to learn more about humans and Thranx and the distraction of the Pitar meant this book really didn't fit into the founding theme. You might want to skip it unless there is another book in the founding series.

The Founding: Book Two.......2002-10-08
It has been twenty years since the chance meeting of street thug Cheelo Montoya and Thranx poet Desvendapur revealed the bug colony hidden deep within the Amazon Basin, and not much has changed. Contact between the species is still proceeding at a far too reluctant pace for some. Sadly, that pace is further hindered by the arrival of the Pitar, a species of alien that embodies all that humankind aspire to on a physical level (i.e. a planet inhabited by Playgirl and Playboy centerfolds). However the Thranx are rather suspicious of these newly arrived and friendly, yet very secretive, aliens and fear that the humans may pay a price for their blind confidence. And pay the humans do, when 600,000 settlers are wiped out in a brutal surprise attack that has left no trace of the aggressors.
ADF's second chapter in the Founding Trilogy is a tight, brisk read. The fallout from the events of the first book is still being dealt with and the Big Picture lessons that humanity needs to learn about its own arrogance and addiction to visually pleasing lifeforms is well delivered, albeit with a heavy hand (600,000!?!). Some reviews mention the rather abbreviated ending, but this book is the second act in a three act play and, while this particular chapter's story could be expanded into a series of its own (yeah, I thought it was THAT good), in this telling it serves only as an important step in the trail that leads to the Founding. Recommended.

Cute comic!.......2007-08-06
Its a really cute comic... read it, buy it... you wont regret it. I love breaking it out on those rainy days.
Dirge at his best.......2007-05-17
Yet again something wonderfully twisted from a talented artist/writer. Been a fan of Roman Dirge for years and everything thing he does just brings a smile to my face. With his usual dark and twisted yet somehow innocent style of humor and story telling his book of poems is a quick read but something you'll spend hours reading again and again. I highly recommend Something at the Window is Scratching.
Scratching is good!.......2007-02-13
This book is just a collection of funny and a bit morbid poems by Roman Dirge. He has his own style of writing just as he does with illustrating. The pictures in the book go right along with the strange bedtime poetry. If you like Roman Dirge, you'll want to add this to your collection.
Peter the Pirate Squid.......2004-07-29
The book is worth every nickle simply because it is delightfully absurd!
Piggies! I meant piggies...........2004-05-12
That's the entertaining part of this book, searching for the hidden piggies. Not bunnies, as I mistakenly mentioned earlier. Carry on.
Book Description
Attention Lenore fans: Roman Dirge is back with an all-new storybook-format tale. This time, it¹s the tragic story of a cat named Cat, and his misfortunes in life due to his enormously oversized head. This digest-size tale (5.5 x 8.5²) comes with a glossy card-stock cover with color art on the inside covers as well as outside, and includes an all-new back up story by Dirge, which he says is not as good. You be the judge.
Customer Reviews:
Sooo funny!.......2007-10-02
I think I had bought this book at hot topic or somewhere that sells those types of things. I just happened to spot it and it instantly caught my eye. I was laughing in my head when I saw the title, and it continued on when I read it. This is a great book, of course not necessarily for kids, especially if they have parents that are gonna burn it as soon as they bring it home! (unless you have that nice little nook in the wall or floor board to hide it in....) I especially liked the end, with the nine lives and all, can't get a break I guess. And the cat chow they gave him! What was it, beefy beef chunky chewy chunks of beef or something, lolz! Great gift for Halloween, people with a morbid sense of humor (some say I can be like that at times ;) or just a gift for any occasion really, for those you might think would enjoy it.
Super quick read, in the style/tone of Invader Zim.......2007-06-15
I'm a huge Invader Zim fan, so I decided to pick this book up. It is a very short book; it took me about ten minutes to read it cover to cover. If you're considering this book for a kid, it does have a little bit of adult-ish content, specifically:
* Comic book style masked obscenity (e.g., %#@^!&)
* Cat birthing (admittedly, the part where the reader is asked to contemplate the "crotch" that brought the large headed cat into the world may go over the head of kids that haven't gotten to that part of the birds and bees discussion)
* Mild gross-out humor, including cartoonish autopsy in the second story
It depends on the kid; that's all I'm trying to say. It's probably a little more mature than Invader Zim, but nowhere near a PG-13 rating...and there's nothing in here that a kid wouldn't see (in a less humorous form) on the Discovery Channel.
Overall, the story was amusing in the off-kilter way that this author tends to write. If you liked Zim, you'll likely enjoy this.
Not for the cat lover on your gift list.......2007-01-16
First, very very funny book in a errilly twisted kind of way.
Second, do not get this as a gift for someone who loves cats.
short but good.......2007-01-12
its very short but its a good read, i got it for my little sister she likes the artist who draw this.
The Cat with a Really Big Head-but the other story is hilarious too!.......2005-08-16
This book is so worth having-I kept it on the coffee table and re-read it for weeks. The pictures are hilarious and the story at the end about the little dead girl following the pathologist was creepy but very funny!

Book Description
Ivan wrestles with his demons through the mysterious town of Windtale, the hint of death wafting over all its corrupt citizens... But a horror more haunting than any dark entity lingers over the town. When a tragic misunderstanding fuels an out-of-control mob, an unholy terror is about to be unleashed unto humanity. "I had no idea that this title called Priest would forever change how I read and enjoy sequential art storytelling." -Jared Pine, animeondvd.com "The art is superb with an excellent use of gore which, amazingly, didn't seem overdone despite the fact that almost every page features a violent and bloody death." -Sheena McNeil, Sequential Tart

Priest, Book 10.......2007-06-27
This book arrived in a timely manner and I had no problems with this vendor. I would use them again.
priest is the best graphic novel out there.......2007-01-10
priest has been consistant with its filling of excitment and suspense. i, personally, am not a big reader, i dont read many books at all and one day i bought priest vol. 1 and was hooked. it brings up questions which people have always wanted to ask, but keep silent, but aswell as giving an amazing plot, the drawings and constant action keeps the readers wanting more and expecting nothing but the greatest. with priest vol 15 that is just what happened. although not amazingly action packed, it did supply the reader with enough information to get them caught back up with the story, and it ended by getting the readers ready for possibly min-woo-hyung's best novel of priest yet. this story is gripping and thrilling, and i would suggest anyone who is into western action, with a religious touch, to pick up this graphic novel and give it a try.
muy bueno.......2006-06-16
well if you're looking for volume 14 you probably already know this is a good manga... oh well. this is a very unique manga, in the story & the art. the cover art is always amazing & inside the book it is just as striking. 'priest' doesn't have tones everywhere for shading; the creator said in an interview in one of the books that toned mangas all look somewhat alike & he wanted something different. i'd say he succeeded in that.

Customer Reviews:
A let down.......2006-12-27
Story was really short, lacking a lot of content. The illustrations were interesting but the actual story was lacking, in my opinion. So far I have only enjoyed Lenore by Dirge and have not been a big fan of his other works.
I knew monsters existed!.......2004-07-20
For anyone who might want to blame their emotions on someone/thing else...look no further. The Monsters in this story are so morbid, but you can't help but want to squeeze them and love them. I remember one of intestinal organs saying, "Pooka, Pooka" and that really doesn't do it justice until you actually take a look at the visual element itself. I don't think Dirge actually meant for this to be a literary phenomena and it isn't, but what it is, is a candid, yet quaint protrayal of personified organs. I would recommend looking at this even if you aren't interested you will become interested because it will trap you in its glory. The illustrations are beyond cool. Personally, I loved it, but then I'm not a hard-core critic. If it's good...it is good and that's just the way of it.
Okay.......2002-12-06
While I am a huge Roman Dirge fan, I didn't find this book to be all that great. Sure, it was somewhat good, but I have come to have high standards for Roman. I think anyone could relate to the character, but half of the story was kind of pointless.
Definatly read this book!.......2002-05-18
Roman with his poems and imagery shows us something most of us wish we could do everyday. Being a complete Dirge fan I of course had to buy this! When I was done I couldn't help but go 'aww' cause it was like reading something you knew had to have come from experience wanting to go through with this.
WE ALL FEEL..........2001-03-20
BEING A ROMAN DIRGE FAN FROM WORD ONE, I HAVE A FEELING THAT EVERYONE SHOULD READ THIS BOOK. GUARANTEED, WE ALL HAVE FELT THIS WAY AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. IF NOT, YOU'RE EITHER VERY LUCKY OR IN DEEP DENIAL... ENJOY.

Customer Reviews:
Something wicked this way comes.......2007-05-04
Anyone with a twisted sense of humor should find some time to meet Lenore (the cute little dead girl) and her evil friends. And what a lovely bunch they are:
Ragamaffin (aka some little weenie guy) - a vampire trapped in a puppet;
Mr. Gosh - deeply in love with Lenore and deeply hated by her;
Taxidermy - a strange creature from the woods out back, possibly a murderer wearing a dear's head as a mask;
Muffin Monster - heck, I've no idea who's this guy. But he has muffins.
Kitty #188 (or is it 583? - never mind, it's dead anyway).
There's no doubt that mr. Dirge is a genius. In his own dark way. So, without further ado - Lenore, the cute little dead girl. Read it and R.I.P.
Roman Dirge is a genius.......2007-02-27
I love Lenore. I love Dirge, i think he is a comic genius.
I can't get enough of lenore! If you like lenore, i do suggest this book.
Incredibly overrated..........2004-11-08
Perhaps I missed the point with Lenore, but really, it seems completely and utterly overrated and I cannot understand why it is considered such a cult comic.
While the art work is humourous and well drawn, Dirge completely ignores the necessity of plot. There is barely any story to be had, and when Dirge does write, his stories are rushed and uninteresting. While some the poems are compelling enough and actually quite innovative and the few stories about himself are quite good, the rest of the work based on Lenore was a complete anti-climax.
Purely for the art, and some of the small poems. To be honest, 'Johnny' and 'Bear' look like much more comprehensive versions of the same thing.
The best ever!.......2002-12-06
Lennore is the sickest, wierdest, most sadistic comic I have ever read. I laughed [hysterically] and my friend fell in love with Mr. Gosh. I would recomend this comic to anyone who has a sense of humor.
If your sick and twisted this is your book!.......2002-09-01
If your morbid, sick, and twisted this book is for you. This book reminds me of things I wish I could do. Roman Birge has a morid sence of humor. I LIKE THAT! So, you freaks out there go get it!
