Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.

Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.

History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

I wish I had read this 2 years ago!! This is a great resource for any and all parents who are fighting the special education maze. It gives great advice and practical strategies on how to approach team meeting and not let them railroad you. They also provide great tips on creating your own file on your child and how to effectively write letters. This is a must have for any parent with a child in special education.

This book is by far the best I've read regarding Special Education law and how to successfully advocate for your child within the school system. It shows you how to level the playing field and become an equal and effective member of the IEP team. The commentary provided by the authors is invaluable and something you'd probably pay top dollar for if you had to hire your own attorney. We as parents can be effective advocates. "From Emotions to Advocacy" is the one tool in your box you can't do without.

I've been involved in advocating for my special needs son for 14 years and this is the BEST book I've ever read on the subject. A real "how-to." I just walked away from an IEP meeting with MORE than I asked for and it all happened in less than an hour. I was SO prepared. In particular, the chapter on the Rule of Adverse Assumptions helped me prepare. Thanks to this book, I had the confidence and the information that allowed me to effectively go to bat for our son. I'm using FETA in a parent training class I'm conducting now and it's SO helpful. From Emotions to Advocacy is a real treasure and should be the bible for every parent of a special needs child.

Exceptionally well written; Great insight to issues w/ law enforcement. Dr. Gilmartin is a clinical psychologist that has 20yrs experience in a Sheriff's department. So he knows from whence he speaks. "Real" language quotes, so not for the exceptionally sensitive.
When you understand the dramatic highs and lows of the officer's emotional life it helps you to "take the bull by the horns" and deal with it, if your heart is in it.

Yes, this is an excellent book for those who are in the field of Law Enforcement. The author explains what happens to many cops and the consequences of their jobs. The book also tells you how to "fix" the problem(s) of hypervigilance--the meaning when applied to cops is that they are "on" or "high" from working as cops and that carries over into their personal lives.

I am the wife of a police officer of over 4 years. This book is EXCELLENT. Any new or established officer will benefit greatly from this book. (whether male or female officer.)
After my husband (who is an officer) read it, he said that he sees many of these examples in his life and the lives of those with whom he works. Because of this book, he has been able to recognize his deficiencies and is working on improving them. It literally saved our marriage where counseling and other books (marriage ones) could not because the real issues were never discussed: His JOB and what affects hypervigilance has in our life. It is more than just being "overly" aware of your surroundings and it is VERY real for those who are police officers.
Anyone who is married (or involved) to an officer knows how stressful it is at times, for him, you and the kids, but there is no reason to be a victim of his job. This book gives practical instruction on how to overcome many of the common symptoms that affect an officer in his career--whether a rookie or a veteran. It is a quick read because it focuses on hypervigilance-the main thing that "changes" a person when they become a cop. Being bitter on the job is not inevitable! There is hope if the officer can recognize the problem.
Give this book to all of the officers you know, especially those who are married and NEW to LE work. It can save them years of heartache if they know what to look out for and what to expect.
How hypervigilance affects your personal life.......2004-02-13
This book handles the issue of how the need of being constantly aware of ones' surroundings can adversely affect the personal life of a police officer. While the book is aimed primarily for police officers, it can be of benefit for people in similar occupations. The information presented is not relevant for an armed citizen, however.
While this book is not te definitive book on the adverse effects of continuous hypervigilance, it explains the issue throughly and in logical manner. The author explains in a very illustrative manner how one thing leads to another: How police officer learns to like the "high" of police work, which leads to putting more emphasis on the cop role at the expence of civilian life, which in turn makes the individual more one sided, and therefore more vulnerable, and so on. At the end of the book, the author gives simple instructions on how to became an emotional survival.
The text is not too scientific, and the author uses conversational tone through the book. There are also lots of charts and drawings to illustrate the issues handled in the text. Some illustrations are used over and over, but every time there is something new added, to illustrate how things build on top of others. There is lot of humor in the text, and there are numerous case histories used throught the book to further illustrate the issues. And because the book is written in very plain language, it is fast to read.
This is a very valuable book for every law enforcement officer to read. If you are interested in officer survival, this book is essential reading.

The book gave me moe information than needed. It talks about the complications in distrubution deals, the unions, music, digaital cameras, and a few other things upcoming producers need to know about the industry before signing into or onto something. I highly recommend it to producers, writers, and directiors. It remind us that the film world is like a whole other business on another planet.

This is more than a great book--it's a public service. The
authors share insights from their decades of legal and
entertainment production experience, in essence offering
thousands of dollars of free legal advice to aspiring
independent producers. Beyond offering a roadmap of business-
planning steps, the book includes templates of numerous legal
forms that an independent producer might need. Meanwhile, in
clear and artful prose, they alternate between You're-Not-God
straight talk and You-Can-Do-It encouragement. Between the
lines, there seems to be a genuine interest in helping
important stories and quality independent work to see the
light of day. I've read other books on the business side of
entertainment that were helpful, but this stands out as the
best of the lot.

Even though I have not finished the book yet, I've already found this book to be extremely valuable. Because I am planning to produce a new film next year, I even called up Mr. Tulchin directly for legal advice. He was very friendly and took the time to give me great advices and was very knowledgeable in not just U.S. based entertainment law but also international entertainment law as well. It is unfortunately true that many innocent people are convicted, sometimes by prosecutors who bend the law (often by hiding evidence) to gain those convictions.
There is significant documentation of such improper convictions, in a series by the Chicago Tribune, in a study by Columbia Law School, in the book "In Spite of Innocence," and in the marvelous work of Barry Scheck and his colleagues in the Innocence Project, and in "Journey to Justice" by Dennis Fritz.
It is a serious blemish on the American criminal justice system that too many prosecutors abuse their power, and get away with it.
My second novel, A Good Conviction, tells the story of a young man wrongfully convicted in a high profile Central Park murder, brought about by a prosecutor who knew the defendant was actually innocent and hid the exculpatory evidence that would have led to a not guilty verdict.
Several prosecutors and appeals attorneys helped me with the legal aspects of a Brady appeal in New York State, and all of them agreed that what I portrayed was both realistic and all too possible.
Readers have found it to be fast paced, exciting, and heartbreaking.
I'd be curious as to readers' opinion of whether a novel based on truth can be effective in drawing attention to the terrible wrongs done to so many people by prosecutors who abuse their power.

What a great man to be able to go through so much, and yet have the faith and the fortitude to continue day after day pursuing JUSTICE in this tragic case, and then to go on and relive the horrors by writing such a fine book about it. Amazing, I would highly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in non-fiction, and and interest in learning more about our horribly flawed system of justice in the United States.

Dennis has written his harrowing story in a manner that is easy to follow and hard to put down. To read about the total injustice that was inflicted upon himself and his friend Ronnie, is nothing short of unbelievable. He has written about an inner strength and courage that carried him through the years of being incarcerated unjustly, and came out the other side with the support of his mother, aunt, daughter and the innocent project. Highly recommended read, along with Dreams of Ada, and Innocent Man by John Grisham

When I read The Innocent Man, I wondered what life for Mr. Fritz really had been since It did not go into much detail about his stay in prison, but after reading The Journey Toward Justice it just shows how strong of a person Dennis really is. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Fritz at a Tulsa, OK book signing and he is trully a wonderful and greatful person to talk to. If you have read The Innocent Man then you will have to read Journey Toward Justice it trully is compelling.
Harrowing and Important.......2007-01-20
JOURNEY TOWARD JUSTICE is an important book because it shows how the "winning is everything" attitude of our society in general has infected our criminal justice system as well. Dennis Fritz is a hero not just for persevering in seeking justice for himself, but for continuing to champion justice for the countless imprisoned innocent men and women who were just another notch in the belt or statistic in campaign literature for conscienceless prosecutors. This is a great story of the triumph of love, faith and endurance over careerism, cynicism and indifference. I highly recommend this book, not just for those interested in the criminal justice system, but for every American who naively believes that we have the "greatest system of justice" on earth just because those who run it keep telling us so.

this book is more like a large pamphlet. The book is mainly a lot of ideas that are somewhat common sense (at least to me). In order to make most of this book work for you, you might want to also get a book on how to extremely lower your standards. The author suggests most of his ideas to become homeless and hitchhike as opposed to actually setting up a new identity although there are a few ideas about that. All in all for the length of the read i didnt expect to much, but got a few ideas.

I am surprised at some of the past reviewers of this book. They sound like armchair secret agents that want a book like this to tell them all the secrets of 9/11, Roswell and the Kennedy assassination, all for under a dollar!
The truth is, however, that this book is a how-to manual for people who need to lay low for a while, because of financial problems, stalkers, vengeful ex-spouses, or what have you.
Do the techniques it describes work? YES. Using them I was able to disappear for several months during a time when a vengeful and psychotic ex-boyfriend wanted very much to put a bullet in me. He is now sitting in prison, and I am safe for at least 20 years. But if I hadn't found this book then I would likely be dead at this point.
I strongly recommend this book for anyone who needs to get away from things for a while - without anyone being able to track them down.
