Outstanding true stories of wounded horses and hurting kids.......2007-05-13
Kim Meeder is not only a fabulous person; she is a gifted writer. These true stories of mistreated horses and hurting children coming together for healing and enjoyment will gladden any heart. Even if you are not a horse lover, you'll love this book. It's about "horse therapy" for suffering children and the bonds and breakthroughs that happen when kids and horses interact on a safe and secure level. Kim Meeder writes with her heart and out of personal experience.

Hope Rising-Book of Miracles.......2007-03-20
This is a book of miracles. It is about love, faith, and healing. Ms. Meeder plays the human heart strings like a diva, and her stories of children healed by horses are as touching as they are inspirational.

Book Description
Crystal Children reflect the new generation that has come to the Earth plane after the Indigo Children. They are approximately ages 0 through 5, although some members of the first wave of Crystal Children are as old as 7. These children are like Indigosâhighly psychic and sensitiveâbut without the dark edge and the anger energy.
The term Crystal Children is already taking hold worldwide, and people everywhere are talking about these special kids. Since Doreen is the only researcher who is publicly giving speeches on the subject, her audiences have been asking her for a book on the topic. It’s a natural sequel to her book The Care and Feeding of Indigo Children.
As babies, Crystal Children may take longer than normal to begin talking. They are highly telepathic, and their tuned-in mothers communicate with them nonverbally. Because they’re so sensitive, the Crystal Children babies may fuss and cry a lot in crowded places. They’re also very fond of nature. Doreen once watched one Crystal Child walk from tree to tree, giving each one a big hug.
Crystal Children are beautiful inside and out, like magnificent little high-priests and priestesses. One look in their eyes, and you’ll recognize Divine love and wisdom. Their auras are bright, radiant, and opalescentâthey seem to glow from the inside! They talk about past lives, distant galaxies, and profound insights concerning peace and love. Most Crystal Children’s parents are aware that their kids are special, and they’re thrilled to be parenting such delightful children.
The book includes many interviews with Crystal Children, their parents, and teachers. It discusses parenting and teaching methods that are essential to keeping these children happy and healthy, and how to avoid pitfalls that could spoil their special gifts. The book ties in to a Website called
www.crystal-children.com that Doreen is preparingâan Internet site for Crystal Children and their parents where they can post messages and read relevant articles.

EYE OPENING.......2007-07-30
IF YOU ARE AN INDIGO/CHRYSTAL/RAINBOW THIS BOOK WILL EXPLAIN YOU WHY YOU ARE THE WAY YOU ARE. IT MAKES IT EASIER TO UNDERSTAND YOURSELF. IT WILL TAKE YOUR SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. NICE BOOK.
Not worth the read.......2007-03-21
This book did not live up to it's title. It didn't tell me anything about helping my children develop their psychic and intuitive skills. Sure, it told me not to repress them or make fun of them....but I don't do that anyway and didn't need a book to tell me that. It's also more about children that already show evidence of abilities....not how to develop those abilities in every child. It's very general talk ...I really didn't get anything out of it.
I was surprised b/c I've had friends rave about Doreen Virtue.
Extremely Interesting.......2006-11-10
This is a very basic informative book. It explains the background and characteristics of Crystal Children nicely. Enjoyed this book.
My Grandchildren are Crystal Children.......2006-11-08
What a loving book for such amazing children. Doreen Virtue never ceases to
amaze me with her books. Not only is the cover photo perfect, but also the
inner pages filled with the most delicious descriptions of my 3 grandbabies,
now 4, 4, and almost 2. The faces and eyes and what they say and do and how
they hear something and can recite it...... all this and more is shared by
the author. They stare at you as if to see deep into your soul and know you.
You can see the "light" in their eyes. My first-born granddaughter had her
eyes wide open minutes after she was born and she looked at each one
of us as we spoke to her. Crystal Children are magnificent and magnetic,
intuitive and sensitive, and incredibly focused. They are about love and
light. Buy this book and learn so much more. It proves to be a loving and
rewarding read that you will not want to put down.
Personal comments of "The Crystal Children".......2006-11-04
I have an autistic 6 year old grandchild who was diagnosed PDD 4 years ago. After reading this book, I recognized certain behaviors similar to my grandchild (boy). He's very telepathic, not agressive at all, most remarkable large blue eyes. Everyone is attracted to him in a special way even though he does not talk very well. He's a very loving child and he loves to cuddle. He does not have the chateristics of an autistic child. Therefore, after reading the Crystal Children by Doreen Virtue, it gave my daughter and her family a lot of hope. We seem to understand him more since.
I'm reading several other books by Doreen Virtue that I find very interesting to read. She helped somewhat in coping and understanding better our beautiful grandson. Thank you!

Great voices!.......2007-01-04
These stories are really well read! I play them in the car for my 4 and 3 year olds and I even enjoy listening along. I like that they don't have the page turn dings.
Wonderful for Early Readers.......2006-02-26
My son listens to these over and over with or without the book. He enjoys the narrators and has almost memorized the books.
Old favorites, familier voices........2005-08-21
The children enjoy hearing their favorite Dr. Suess read by the familiar voices we all know.
Absolutely Wonderful Readings!.......2004-04-19
As a homeschooling Mom of 2 small girls, we do A LOT of reading together. What a treat to have someone else do the reading for me every once in a while! Kelsey Grammer, John Lithgow, Walter Matthau, Ted Danson, Billy Crystal and other famous voices certainly do an OUTSTANDING job! The stories are unabridged, which makes it easy to follow along with your own Dr Seuss library. Between the talented author and the unquestionably talented actors, you just can't go wrong...what a great gift to any child or Dr. Seuss fan of any age! My daughters love this CD, and are always asking for one more story or the other disc. SO...we purchased the Green Eggs and Ham CD set today, and are very eager to see how it compares to this fun compilation!

Volume 4 of the 3-in-1 Tintin series begins in the middle of an adventure, concluding the story begun in The Secret of the Unicorn. (Keeping all the two-part stories together was not possible in the 3-in-1 format because chronologically, the Unicorn/Rackham and Crystal/Prisoners two-parters are back to back.) Red Rackham's Treasure follows Tintin and friends as they search for the pirate booty procured by Captain Haddock's ancestor, Sir Francis Haddock, in the West Indies. They receive some unexpected help in the form of a hard-of-hearing inventor named Professor Calculus, who would go on to become one of the most endearing characters of the series. (Herge admitted that the character was one "whom I never suspected would take on such importance.") It's a lot of fun, with some submarine and diving adventures, humor from the Thompsons, and an unexpected (but satisfying) ending. The Seven Crystal Balls begins on a light note, as Captain Haddock tries to adjust to his new life as a gentleman following the events of Red Rackham's Treasure. He wears a monocle and frequents the music hall, where in a not-unusual coincidence he and Tintin happen to find General Alcazar (The Broken Ear) and the dreaded diva Bianca Castafiore. However, it's the act of fakir Ragdalam with Madame Yamilah, the amazing clairvoyante, that reveals the central adventure: the scientists excavating the tomb of Racar Capac have incurred the curse of the Inca. Despite the efforts of bungling detectives Thompson ("With a P, as in Philadelphia") and Thomson ("Without a P, as in Venezuela"), the explorers are stricken, and one of Tintin's closest friends disappears mysteriously, leading to a trip to Peru in the second part, Prisoners of the Sun. After The Seven Crystal Balls set the eerie stage, Tintin and his friends continue their adventures in Peru. There Tintin rescues an orange-seller named Zorrino from being bullied, and the young man becomes their guide in their quest to find the Temple of the Sun. But they find more than they bargained for and end up in a hot spot. The perils of this engaging two-part adventure are especially harrowing in their combination of the supernatural and the real, although the resolution is a little too deus ex machina. Calculus and the Thompsons provide their usual comic relief.
The 3-in-1 format provides excellent value, but the small size (about 40% smaller than the single-story paperbacks) makes it harder to enjoy the detail in Herge's layouts. --David Horiuchi

Fun Read.......2007-09-04
A very good book for those who enjoy the adventures of Tintin. It was in great condition.
Awsome book.......2007-08-04
We grew up reading these books. And I wanted to buy these for my son too. So as soon as he started reading some big books I ordered them and bought them for him.He loves it. He loves Captain Heddock,Thompson and Thomson. Wow what great stories and what great characters. Must read!!!!
Fantastic little collection........2007-06-27
Don't be fooled by the size of this little book. Other readers have stated how the pictures seem much to small in this more compact version of the comics we loved as children. These are just as visually stunning as the original size comics. Best of all, it is hardcover and will not get damaged (a problem I had with the originals) and they are compact enough to take on a car ride. My son is now as much of an addict as I was at his age. Happy reading!
Always a favorite.......2006-09-16
Tintin comic books have always been a favorite. And I like the fact that now you get three stories in one volume - helps to complete the series quickly. Great for kids and for adults.
A rich part of this bilingual Canadian's heritage.......2006-09-09
Volume 4: Red Rackham's Treasure (1944), The Seven Crystal Balls (1948), Prisoners of the Sun (1949). This is fourth instalment of my reviews of each of the seven volumes.
By now, the core members of the Tintin series have been assembled, though further secondary additions will be made. Tintin, the volatile Haddock and the deaf, distracted Calculus, and of course Snowy, Tintin's dog, will be inseparable friends throughout the rest of the series. There are some parallels between Haddock and Snowy, such as a love of booze and vulnerability to temptation, and Haddock's appearance has taken some of the spotlight off Snowy, but the dog still has its day - or days - as the series matures. The Thom(p)sons and the Castafiore adorn the circle of friends, while Dawson, Mueller, Allan and not least, Rastapopoulos, come back at times as foes.
Red Rackham's Treasure rounds out the adventure commenced with the Secret of the Unicorn (see my review for the previous volume). Professor Calculus, who enriches the series no end, makes his inaugural appearance, in which he is the inventor of a mini-submarine. A great adventure with pirates, treasure, submarines, and scaphanders. Oh yeah, and Nestor, too. Wouldn't want to omit him...
The Seven Crystal Balls begins another two-parter, with American Indian mysticism pitted against soulless European rationalism, and the most terrifying sequence I have ever seen in a comic book. Good god, I couldn't sleep after reading that one. After reading this adventure and its sequel, and not before, check out the official Tintin site for a striking analysis of a single panel, so that you can understand the pure richness of Hergé's creation. The sequel, Prisoners of the Sun is a pinnacle in the series, with the heroes' labyrinthine course into and out of trouble, culminating in a magnificent twist on the mysticism vs. rationalism theme set out in the prequel.
Book Description
Sensitive children are often misdiagnosed with ADHD and autism, and they sometimes have difficulties at school and at home. In this informative and entertaining live lecture captured on a two-CD program,
Doreen Virtue discusses natural and spiritual methods to help the Indigo, Crystal, and Rainbow Children live happier lives.
Since the 1970s, parents and schoolteachers have noticed that children are becoming increasingly more sensitive, aware, and psychic. The first generation of the new children were the Indigos, followed in the 1990s by the Crystal Children. Now, the new Rainbow Children are starting to emerge. Doreen discusses the characteristics of the Indigos, Crystals, and Rainbows, and describes their souls' purpose and the beautiful messages they have for all of us.

Slow & Flippant.......2007-08-16
I was hoping to learn more about these children, and what I got was disappointing. While I'm a HUGE fan of Doreen Virtue, this ISN'T one of her best pieces of work. Sorry!!!
Who are the Indigo, Crystal, & Rainbow Children?.......2007-07-20
I have been hearing so much about the Indigo and Crystal Children in the Healing Arts arena that I was eager to buy this CD to see what all the talk was about. I was absolutely thrilled with this CD. I learned so much from Doreen Virtue about how to tell who is an indigo, crystal, or rainbow child. So many of the attributes in my personality fit both the indigo and crystal categories. Now I have a better idea why I am the way that I am. I can also now spot other indigos, or crystals. I have also had the pleasure of meeting a rainbow child---he was heaven sent and such a delight. It is so uplifting to hear something good about how our culture will be developing in the future. Also---If you are interested in learning more about ADHD, or Autism--this CD will be an enormous aide. I hope everyone enjoys the CD as much as I did.
A little interesting but not helpful.......2006-11-10
Well, I was really expecting more. Nearly everything that is covered in the tape is covered in the description of the product. Other then the convience of not having to read - and be able to listen as driving the information wasn't really new.
The Evolution of Children.......2006-11-08
Many are still unaware of the special gifts we all are born with. Now, more
than ever before, children are very advanced in what they know and what
they say and the way they behave. Doreen Virtue has simplied the differences
between Indigo, Crystal, & Rainbow children. Her CD is clear and easy to
understand. You will be able to SEE in your children and/or grandchildren the
attributes Doreen discusses. You may then use this insight to better understand
and lovingly embrace and help each child to fulfill their destiny of bringing
peace to our planet at a time when we are praying for help from God for so many
reasons and, especially, for peace. Our prayers are being answered. Pay
attention to what Doreen has to say and then share it with everyone you know!!
Oh, so this is why.......2006-08-17
This CD is the most informative when it comes to Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow Children,of any I have heard to date. Doreen lets us understand why these beautiful childern do what they do.

Comedian, actor, and director Billy Crystal's ode to his first grandchild will strike a chord with every expectant grandparent (and parents, too). Readers will feel the sweet anticipation building as Grandpa Crystal dreams about the baby's upcoming birth. While the writing is at times awkward, the sentiment behind the text is genuine and universal, " I want to feel your heart beat as you lie upon my chest, bait your hook, fly your kite, help you study for a test." The narrator envisions peekaboo, horsey, and visits to the beach with a red-haired tot--his love virtually bubbles over. Pastel illustrations (reminiscent of the dreamy, soft-focus drawings in pregnancy books) by Elizabeth Sayles show the rugged, gray-haired gramps beaming as he partakes of the imagined pleasures to come. Crystal concludes with another awkward yet heartfelt verse:
Your mom is my daughter, and your dad is his mom's son. You lived within your mommy, but now the time has come. Get ready, sweet little one-- Your life will be just great. I'm going to be your grandpa, and
I can hardly wait.
(All Ages) --Emilie Coulter

Based on the author's own experience, I Already Know I Love You describes the cavalcade of feelings that comes with being a grandfather for the very first time. Beginning with anticipating the new baby's arrival, this book celebrates all the moments, great and small, that a new grandpa is ready to share. Whether it's taking a nap together or rooting for the Yankees, this grandpa just can't wait. Lush and dreamy pastels complement the heartfelt text, and together they celebrate all the joy a brand-new baby brings to the world.

beautiful and perfect. It captures all of the emotions of a father whose daughter is about to become a mom.
I Already Know I Love You.......2007-08-04
Billy Crystal touches the hearts of all grandparents-to-be, both male and female alike. I also gave it as a gift to my brother who was becoming a first-time grandpa. It is very special to read the book to your grandchild and to let them know how very loved they were before they were born and after too. It says it all!
Great book, wonderful pictures.......2007-03-06
This is a great book, I would recommend it to everyone. I love the soft written words and the art work is really sweet and touching!
My child's favorite book.......2006-06-13
My dad bought this book for my son's first Christmas. He's now almost two and it's his favorite book. It's already worn out, so we're purchasing another one to keep until he gets a little older. I'm also buying the sequel for my my dad's Grandfather's Day!
My daughters favorite book.......2006-04-17
This is my 5 year olds favorite. This was not even a gift from her grandpa, but we picked it up because it looked so sweet. This is the book she used to ask for every night, and from listening as we read along, this is also her first book that she can read by herself. The page with the 'spaghetti kiss' is her very favorite. We picked a four leaf clover the other day, and she ran in to press it in her favorite book. Thank you Billy Crystal - we're looking forward to reading your next!

It's setup, but it's good setup........2007-04-13
Herge, The Seven Crystal Balls (Methuen, 1948)
Another of the series' setup volumes (this one for Prisoners of the Sun), but as usual, that doesn't stop Herge from having all sorts of wild and wonderful things go on. An expedition comes back from South America, having discovered the tomb of Rascar Capac and brought the mummy back for study. Soon, one by one, the members of the expedition lapse into a coma. Needless to say, One of them is a friend of Calculus' (and one thing I found a minor annoyance throughout the rest of the series-- the hearing aid Calculus procured during Explorers on the Moon was never seen again. It was a good joke for the first few volumes, but it got old pretty quick.), of course, and so Tintin, Snowy, and Captain Haddock find themselves involved, however unwittingly, after Calculus is kidnapped. This is the only one of the setup volumes that actually feels like a setup volume, but it's still better than average, and also features the return (in a minor role) of Tintin's old friend General Alcazar, who would play an increasingly important role as the series went on. *** ½
The Seven Crystal Balls.......2005-08-17
The Seven Crystal Balls begins where its predecessor, Red Rackham's Treasure, left off, with Captain Haddock settling into his family estate, Marlinspike Hall, and enjoying his newfound lord-of-the-manor role perhaps just a tad too much. The mystery begins at a variety show which Tintin and the Captain attend that evening. One of the performers, a clairvoyante, is suddenly seized with a vision that an audience member's husband is in great danger. Shortly afterwards, it is announced that the woman's husband has indeed been taken seriously ill.
The woman's husband, as it happens, was one of seven explorers recently returned from a voyage to South America to study the Incan mummy, Rascar Capac. As the story unfolds, the six other explorers - including Professor Calculus' ebullient friend, Professor Tarragon - are also rendered comatose by what appears to be the curse of the mummy. ("This will lead to trouble," a stranger prophetically warns Tintin at the beginning of the book, as they are travelling on a train and Tintin is reading about the explorers' expedition. "You see if it doesn't!")
The plot thickens even further, however, when Calculus, taking a stroll around Professor Tarragon's house, discovers a striking gold bracelet, puts it on (remarking on how nicely it goes with his coat), and then mysteriously disappears. It is up to Tintin and the Captain to find him -- but the mystery is left up in the air until the next Tintin volume, Prisoners of the Sun.
One final note: Also vitally important to this story is the return of Tintin's old friend General Alcazar, now performing as a music-hall knife thrower under the pseudonym Ramon Zarate. His knife-throwing partner, Chiquito, proves to be a prominent character in this mystery.
A mysterious Incan curse (part 1 of 2).......2004-12-05
Tintin and Captain Haddock go to a psychic show. There an Indian fakir puts his assistant into a trance. She forsees a mysterious illness striking a photographer on a recent expedition to recover Incan artifacts. One by one the researchers on the expedition fall into mysterious comas. Near each lies a shattered crystal ball...
For some comic relief here Captain Haddock tries hard to be oh so proper (he has recently aquired his ancestral estate and title). He is fixated on wearing a monocle at all times. This is an involved mystery with many clever bits of detective work and technology used by the characters. This particular book is definitely the first of two parts and doesn't stand alone. At the end of this one Tintin and the Captain are off in pursuit of a potential villain. But we still don't know what was in the crystal balls or how it connects to the Incan curse, and a major character has been kidnapped and not reunited with the heros. So you will have to read Prisoners of the Sun to not be left hanging after this one.
The eeriest adventure.......2000-08-22
My Tintin obsession began at a very early age, I am most happy to say. The Seven Crystal Balls is the one Tintin book I didn't read before bedtime, for the simple reason that it was too scary! Herge was masterful at creating any scenario and eliciting any reaction from his readers that he wished. In this book he created a spine-tingling supernatural thriller, concluded in the second part of this adventure, Prisoners of the Sun.
Seven Crystal Balls has it's share of laughs as well, provided in particular by Captain Haddock. At the start of the adventure, Haddock desperately trys to relinquish his gruff old sea-dog ways by sporting a monocle and speaking in a very diginified manner. As you can imagine, the results are slightly less than successful.
This adventure seems to focus around darkly lit and heavily furnished rooms, places of scholars and thought that can not combat the evil terrorizing Tintin's world. Prisoners of the Sun takes Tintin to the beautiful countryside of Peru. The contrast is remarkable, the result is beautiful. This two-part adventure is fantastic.
Tintin and the Seven Crystal Balls.......2000-04-09
As a prequel to 'Prisoners of the Sun', this adventure has it all. Bianca Castiafore, General Alcazar and the long suffering Nestor play second fiddle to Haddock and Tintin as they attempt to rescue Professor Calculus from kidnappers. Meanwhile an expedition team fall foul of the curse of Rascar Capac, an Inca mummy! This book is excellent; car chases, gun fights, suspense and Captain Haddock to ensure that everything goes far from smoothly! Buy 'Prisoners of the Sun' at the same time, you will not want to wait around to discover where Calculus has gone!

My daughter wants all the books now!.......2007-07-08
My daughter is 9 and has Asperger's syndrome, or high functioning autism. She collects feathers, and the weather is one of her IMPORTANT subjects. She reads fast, and finished this book quickly.... and informed me that she needs to read the rest of them so could I please help her get them right away? The story itself is a little intense because the goblin is actually trying to hit Storm and girls with lightning, but of course it all comes out okay in the end. We will definitely read the other books in the series!
Got My Daughter Interested in Reading Again.......2007-05-07
We've been struggling for a way to get my daughter to read now that she's run out of Junie B. Jones books. The Weather Fairies books have done the trick. She seems to enjoy reading again for the first time in half a year or more.
I have to say I haven't read any of the Weather Fairies myself but I caught my twelve-year-old son reading the series because his sister had obviously liked it. He said he wanted to read more, too.
We love the Rainbow Magic series.......2007-02-06
My soon-to-be 5 year old daughter and I LOVE this series. The stories are simple enough and short enough (about 40 min) to hold her attention as a read aloud, and there are enough illustrations peppered throughout to give her something to look at as I read. Both the stories and the illustrations are delightful. These books have ignited a passion for reading in my daughter, and she is now extremely motivated to read on her own so she doesn't have to wait for me to read them to her. We can hardly wait for the rest of the series to be published in the US. There are also the Jewel Fairies, the Pet Fairies, and the Party Fun Fairies that are only available in the UK right now, but it looks like some of them will be published here this summer. You can be sure we will be pre-ordering them!
We love it!!.......2006-12-23
My seven-year old daughter Clare has read 12 books by Daisy Meadows and we've ordered several more. She especially liked Crystal the Snow Fairy. It has great pictures. Some of her other favorites include: Pearl the Cloud Fairy and Heather the Violet Fairy. What a great series!
Doodle's magic feathers lost!.......2006-10-13
I love this book! I would recommend this book for ages 5 and up. In this book Jack Frost's evil goblins stole Doodle's, the rooster who gives the weather faries their weather feathers so they can control the weather in FairyLand, tail feathers which are the weather feathers! Kirsty and Rachel are best friends, who are friends with the fairies so they can help! Their first mission is in this book when they have to find Crystal the snow fairies weather feather. Read this book to find out more!

Get this book and buy one for your friends!.......2007-09-14
My three year old loves this. They are short and sweet so she doesn't lose interest and she listens to the entire story. She likes to listen to the verse at the end and then repeat the rhyming prayer. There is nothing sweeter than hearing your three year old pray. GET THIS BOOK AND BUY ONE FOR YOUR FRIENDS!
Great book for daily devotions.......2007-08-31
We bought this book for our two year old. The devotions are short and easy to understand. It is a great way for her to start to have daily quiet time.
Age-appropriate value-building book.......2007-07-09
My son is 4-years old and enjoys this book. The lessons are age-appropriate so is the reading comprehension. The illustrations are fun as well. The short texts and the daily prayer that rhymes are easy to memorize making the reading good for sharpening your child's mind too. A moral lesson and brain sharpening exercise, it's a great buy for the parent.
Perfectly age-appropriate introduction to daily devotions.......2007-05-11
Utilizing the One Year Bible by Tyndale, Devotions for Preschoolers is a great introduction to daily quiet times with God. The Little Blessings collection features four children: Kaitlyn, Zoe, Parker and Jack. This book is no exception. The book is organized by dates and includes 366 (one extra for leap year) one-page devotions designed specifically for preschoolers. Each offers a short story about one or all of the main characters followed by a Bible verse (or two) and a prayer. All the stories are highly applicable to children in the target age group. The prayer is told in rhyming verse, usually just two or three lines.
Crystal Bowman, the author of this book and numerous others, is a former preschool teacher. She is also a writer and speaker for MOPS International. The illustrator, Elena Kucharik, has over 100 children's books to her credit including the entire Little Blessings collection. She was also the lead artist for the Care Bears.
What I Like: The format is great! It's short and sweet, perfect for kids this age. The stories are of high interest to preschoolers. They talk about what they want to talk about: playing dress up, painting, sharing, animals, books, toys, friends, family... then tie those topics into elements of faith. The Scripture applications are age-appropriate. I love the illustrations! They are so tender and very colorful.
What I Dislike: I found nothing wrong with the book, but did feel a void in content. I would like to see an introduction for parents explaining the importance of daily devotions and how to use this book.
Overall Rating: Very Good.
