Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

foolishness for fools who reach far.......2005-03-24
How odd that people buy this old-fangled gibberish, in a culture where World War Two is ancient history, or just a mere blank in the head of a teenager prematurely senile, and the citizenry peep with frightened suspicion at such exotica as France or Cuba, though they may not know which way these lie on the map, and maybe don't even know they exist, if Rush Limbaugh or George Bush Junior aren't currently ranting and raving about them.
But I guess old Nostro just lies back in a fabulous, mythic past, disconnected from reality, like willowy mediaevalism or pre-Greek goddess-worship or the much-thumped Land of the Bible. After all, miracles had to occur some time, some where, right?
What is it that makes some people delight in predictions? AIDS, 9/11, Prince Charles' marriages, Michael Jackson's inanities, Nostro fore-saw them all, according to some people.
Are you SURE this is the COMPLETE predictions? How to YOU know? Maybe somebody CUT into it, just to HIDE stuff. Hey?
Get Jean Dixon's complete works. And a weegee board. And did you know you can do this kind of stuff with Mexican jumping beans? (I mean the REAL ones, not the FAKE kinds.)
The Magnus Opus of Hogue's Career.......2004-06-11
Without a doubt the best Hogue has ever done and will ever do on this topic.
While I'm not a big Hogue fan, this is a worthy edition to any Nostradamus library.
Good effort John, even Sollog says it was well done considering the source material is now outdated.
Search the net for 1566 Edition Princeps to see the Authorized Prophecies of Nostradamus.
The 1568 edition used by Hogue has been proven to be an early forgery.
The 1566 Edition Princeps has been found.
Anyway, well worth the price.
Not bad.......2003-04-27
I picked up this book knowing very little backround of Nostradamus or his language. That being said, I had to rely on all the actual English. Basically, Big Mr. N has had tons of bunk prophecies and a few that hit the bulls-eye in a way that's hard to deny. The author rambles on occasionaly, giving us his opinion of decoding big N's quatraints, but fails to impress. If anyone is actually looking for predictions that are YET to come, do not waste your time- anywhere. These prophecies I doubt will ever be able to be deciphered so as to predict a coming event.
WRONG.......2002-07-10
His prophecies are not Vogue.........
Alright, for everyone out there that thinks he is nothing, i've got an assignment for you, I want you to predict some things, and see if ANYTHING comes true. Nostrdamous had hundreds and hundreds of prophecies come true. He Cured 3 cities infected with the Black Death!! I Doubt anyone out there, making fun of nostradamous can cure 3 cities with the Black Death, back in the mid 1500's! No prescriptions, he had to make herbal mixtures to save people! THAT is nothing? Lots of People were accusing him of using the devil, but Nostradamous was very religeous! He Predicted many deaths, of when and how and of who! Is THAT vogue? Yea, some of his predictions are wrong, but thats what he saw! Its called being honest, even though you might not like honesty, he wrote what he saw. He saved many lives, so for all you haters out there, learn more about all the things he did, helping people. His wife and 2 kids were killed, and he still helped people! He was a Messanger of God , the BEST prophet ever. Some one said Isiah is the best, but did he save 3 cities? After Michel saved one of the cities (it took 9 ,months) they paid him for all his work. What did he do with the money? Give it back to the less fortunate......
Even if all of his prophecies arent correct, many of them were correct, he saved many lives..
Nostradamus' Prophecies are extremely vague and enigmatic..........2002-06-16
Nostradamus' Prophecies are extremely vague and enigmatic. Now you might be saying "But Nostradamus predicted WWII and Hitler." and here's what I have to say about that: Have you ever actually read Nostradamus' Prophecies with the near most perfect translation? Or have you've read a very poor, tampered around with book that was based on Nostradamus' Prophecies? Well, this book is one of them. Many authors change around the words of the prophet to make their so called "event" to be more fufilling and valid for the reader, so that the reader may believe that Nostradamus was really a prophet, and that he saw these events truthfully. Well you know what...that's wrong. Anyone who changes the words around of Nostradamus are making a lie out of him. I suggest you get "Nostradamus and His Prophecies" by Edgar Leoni. He puts Nostradamus' prophecies in the most precise translation he can truthfully put it in. Not only that, he also has footnotes of the origin of the words that are enigmatic to him and the reader.
So you want to know what I think about Nostradamus? I'm totally disappointed in him. His prophecies are very vague and poor. I still try to figure out how his prophecies have survived up till this time. I'm not the only one who doubts him. Le Peteller (a famous commentor and translator of Nostradamus' works) also believes his prophecies are a complete enigma. Nostradamus' son Ceasar also believes that he wasn't the real thing. Ceasar believed he was crazy and that his prophecies were nothing but garbage. Even Edgar Leoni thought he did nothing but try to fool the people. He believed that Nostradamus made his prophecies in such a way as to make people interpret it in many different ways as the human mind can grasp. One might say that Quatrain V-79 is talking about Abraham Lincoln, while another might say that he's talking about Napoleon, or even Jesus Christ himself! Although I doubt Nostradamus, something deep inside is telling me that Nostradamus was the real thing. I've been studying Nostradamus for 3 years and sometimes I wonder if Nostradamus' prophecies were actually a code. Maybe those extremely vague prophecies are not the real thing, but that each prophecy is a huge anagram of some sort that when solved, the prophecy predicts exactly as people would suspect it without any vagueness at all. Even the prophets in the bible were right on the money with their predictions and were hardly vague at all. I personally believe the best prophet out there is not Nostradamus, but Isaiah. He was the prophet that predicted a son of God and that salvation was God's main purpose. And you know what? Jesus fits Isaiah's prophecies perfectly. And he wasn't vague at all. But who knows, maybe someone who read Isaiah made up the story of Jesus Christ based on Isaiah's prophecies. But then again, how can you make up a great teacher who accepted even women at his time, out of thin air? If you want to read a good prophet, then go read the prophets of the bible. But if you want to try to figure out Nostradamus' enigmatic codes in his quatrains (since most of the words he wrote were misspelled and enigmatic at its time) then go get Nostradamus' Prophecies by Edgar Leoni. I hope someday someone will figure out this prophets code (if he has one), so that I will know for sure that he was truly the greatest prophet who ever lived.
Book Description
The key to dating Nostradamus’ always intriguing and popular predications has now been discovered! Award-winning author Mario Reading finally found the long-searched-for key, and with it, has uncovered the secret connection that links the seer’s various quatrains. With this new knowledge, he can interpret these astonishing predictions in formerly unimagined ways…and give us a glimpse of what the future holds. Among the amazing finds: Nostradamus foresaw the Twin Towers disaster, the Iraq War, the devastating tsunamis, and the flooding of New Orleans. But even more, Reading’s groundbreaking translations and sharp commentary states precisely what is still to come. His sometimes extraordinary and shocking forecasts include the demise of the British Monarchy, the breakup of the European Union, and Global War.

Authoritative translation of Nostradamus' texts.......2006-08-10
Everyone seems to know at least something about Nostradamus' prophecies, although this knowledge is often hazy, frequently second-hand and never fully based on the evidence. Mario Reading has done us all a favour by re-examining the original texts and offering what must surely rank as one, if not the, authoritative translation.
To begin with, he provides a short biographical sketch of Nostradamus' life and times, which not only establishes Nostradamus' place in society but also firmly helps to dispel some of the myths about his person.
We then turn to the prophecies. The original French text is provided alongside the new English translation. This serves to show not only the frequently puzzling ambiguity of the original text, but also the care that has gone into providing an authoritative translation. By using a new technique that is often alluded to, but obviously never fully disclosed, the author is able to draw out references and meaning between -- as much as within -- the prophecies.
By providing a new, authoritative translation of Nostradamus' complete prophecies of the future, Mario Reading has cut through the thicket of much of the more speculative Nostradamus industry that is out there. I am certain that one of the prophecies, as yet undiscovered (or falsely translated), will in future admonish us all to read only this book about the prophecies of Nostradamus.
Book Description
On numerous occasions and over a long period of time, Michel Nostradamus, has predicted specific events far in advance, attributing all to the workings of divine power and inspiration, together with other fortunate or unfortunate happenings, foreseen in their full unexpectedness, which have already come to pass in various regions of the earth. As one of the most important prophets, his writings have been famous, intriguing and controversial. For the first time ever, you can purchase the complete writings of Nostradamus including all quatrains and almanacs. This is an important read which will take you into the past and at the same time into the future.
Customer Reviews:
Good materials ... Just a little indescriptive........2005-10-13
Perhaps if I were to read this prior to reading Erika Cheetham's book on Nostradamus: The Final Prophecies, I would have given this a 5-star review. However, this book lacks the translation fluidly given and found in Erika's book on the same subject. I had to put this book down as I was looking for more analysis of the gifted foreseer. Of course without God Nostradamus would never have the gift to foresee the troubles ahead and currently manifesting right before our eyes.
A substantial work on Nostradamus.......2004-03-10
Lemesurier's book is a significant effort to reveal the written sources underlying the prophecies of Nostradamus. He especially manages to show convincingly how Nostradamus drew on contemporary publications for implicit references in his abundant use of omens. In this way Lemesurier reveals where Nostradamus really took his "inspiration" for many of his prophetic verses. This book represents one more substantial step in the critical evaluation of the work of the famous Renaissance prophet.
Battle with Islamic nations amply predicted.......2001-10-09
I bought this book last year, and amongst the things that impressed me, was the large amount of predictions of battles between the Arabic/Islamic nations and the West. That was last year...
I recommend this book, because of the author's serious and scholarly approach to Nostradamus. The author takes great pains to explain HOW and WHY he translates the old and peculiar French used by Nostradamus, and the geography of his times (when the U.S.A. didn't even exist yet), to the current day. The author also never denies the difficulty of interpreting.
In summary, I liked the book, because it takes translating and interpreting Nostradamus serious.
However, do we have the stomach for what lies ahead according to these predictions...? But wasn't the Apocalypse, to which reference is made in the title, written at least a thousand years before, in the Bible? And in many other religous texts, even the Koran, for that matter?
So why are we still surprised?

Tabloid psychics come and go, but the name of the prophet Nostradamus stands like a pillar of granite, even after some 500 years. Henry C. Roberts's translations and interpretations of Nostradamus's Centuries are almost as enduring. First published in 1947 as an attempt to make a complete Centuries book available to the public, the
Complete Prophecies of Nostradamus has reached its fourth edition with few revisions. This unabridged, definitive edition with verbatim translations printed side by side with the original Old French is one of the most accurate interpretations available in print.
Book Description
Newly updated to emphasize its relevance to recent events as well as the coming turn of the millennium, this edition of
The Complete Prophecies of Nostradamus--including
all the prescient verses of the 16th-century seer--will be the most sought-after book of its kind, now and for many years to come.
Customer Reviews:
Good Book.......2006-03-16
This is a good book if your interested in the work of Nostradamus.
Can someone interpret the interpretations?.......2000-04-03
This book is useful in that it lists all of Nostradamus's prophecies and that's what I wanted. A cross-index by what Nostradamus actually SAID as opposed to what the interpreter THOUGHT would have been nice (i.e. how many prophecies referred to "the great one" (Jackie Gleason?)). However, I perceive no rhyme or reason as to how it is determined that this prophecy relates to WW II, that one relates to the 18th century, another one relates to the future, at that one over there relates to something in Nostradamus's own time. The words "clearly" and "obvious" are used with far too little justification. Single terms ("great one," "eagle", etc.) are identified as different parties in different prophecies. No pattern of literal or symbolic is evident. No hint as to why one prophecy talks about individuals while another one discusses nations. Quite honestly, the space that was used in printing the original French phrases (which were pretty much useless to me, anyway) could have been put to better discussion of the interpretations. If you're interested in Nostradamus in a casual way, like I am, this is a place to start, I guess, but it's certainly not of much use for any serious study.
Really Reading Nostradamus.......2000-03-30
Actually, for the text itself, I give it four stars, while I only give the commentary two.
First, Nostradamus-- I'll admit that I'm more or less uninterested in the prophecy side of the verses. I was interested in reading them for their historical value. As such, it's a great read. Through the verses, you get a look at the period's preoccupations-- who is named pope, the future of France, alchemy, and the desire to distinguish prophecy from astrology. Nostradamus has had an enduring impact on writing since he put his prophecies on paper, and you can trace that legacy here from the original verses.
The commentary-- Henry C. Robert's interpretation taught me more about World War II than anything else-- he seemed determined to prove that a disproportionate number of the verses referred to the second World War. Probably unsurprising, given that he first wrote his interpretations in 1947. However, he stretched so hard to fit the words to his ideas, that it unfortunately made me suspect his translation. I also could have done with more of an effort for establishing on what basis he was assigning some of the meanings (explanation of period symbolism, the alchemical references, etc.).
If I get a chance to buy another translation version and compare, I probably will.
Not readable as a biography but as a reference text........1999-08-20
I thought I was buying a biographical if not auto- biographical text on Nostradamus. It turns out that this is a compilation of quotations by Nostradamus with interpretation and translation into English.
The man who forsee the digital doom day in year 2000..........1998-08-24
First, I didn't believe that Nostradamus couldn't acculately predict the future.. After I compared the historical events such as the rise of Nazi to the original text to find any discrepencies.. Too my surprise there is none.. Everything that Nostradamus said is very exact.. Perhaps, it is just a coincendent.. Oh Well, One of the most interesting prediction is the Doom Day in Year 2000. Here again Nostradamus is about to be right because Year 2000 is the year of Digital Doom Day.
Book Description
Noted expert on the unexplained Damon Wilson selects a fascinating array of examples of foreknowledge: Nostradamus, perhaps the most prolific and accurate of them all; Mother Shipton, the sixteenth century woman who predicted cars and e-mail; Dr. John Dee, Queen Elizabeth's court magician; Jeane Dixon, the psychic who predicted the assassination of President Kennedy.

The Mammoth Book of Nostradamos by Wilson-Editor.......2003-10-30
For anyone interested in the paranormal, this book will be
replete with fascinating stories. For instance, Nostradamos
lived centuries ago, yet he predicted the rise of the previous
anti-Christs Napoleon and Hister (Hitler). His predictions
were chillingly accurate in their portal of time and impact
on world history. Edgar Casey made a number of very important
predictions of 20th century events and medicinal protocols
which continue to benefit patients to this day. This work makes
for very interesting reading. The scientific method is hard
to replicate.Nevertheless, the writings speak of things which have come to pass as foretold in the original prognostication.
We dare not dismiss these writings too flippantly.
Enjoyable reading.......2000-05-05
An interesting book full of strange ideas and even stranger stories about people & their paranormal experiences. Some of the people you've heard of (like Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce)and some remain obscure despite the unusual and baffling nature of their stories. The real theme of the book is "time." In the introduction, Colin Wilson states that "every page offers some example...that time is not "continuous", but is like a massive snapshot photo album whose photos exist simultaneously." Whether you believe this stuff or not, it makes for some thought-provoking reading.
