Book Description
With over one million novels in print, New York Times best-selling author Joel C. Rosenberg has been called "eerily prophetic" and a "modern Nostradamus" for his uncanny ability to write political thrillers that come true. In his first nonfiction book, this evangelical Christian from an Orthodox Jewish heritage takes readers on an unforgettable journey through prophecy and current events into the future of Iraq after Saddam, Russia after Communism, Israel after Arafat, and Christianity after radical Islam. You won't want to miss Joel's exclusive interviews with Israeli, Palestinian, and Russian leaders, and previously classified CIA and White House documents. Similar to the approach Joel takes in his novels, his desire is to draw readers into stories, anecdotes, and predictions in a way that builds confidence that allows Joel to share his faith in Jesus Christ and the reliability of Scripture as a guide to understanding the past and the future. Drawing on his experience in Washington, his own exclusive interviews with world leaders, and his astute political acumen, Joel makes sense of the events surrounding the Middle East. He connects information in a way that will make you understand and really care about the world's most important events and how they impact your life--from gas prices to your bank account.Epicenter is about: Change--big changes, dramatic changes, changes that will transform the world as we know it. Answers--what the changes are underway in the world's most important countries. Insight--readers will understand the trajectory of world events by being taken inside the governments of Iran, Iraq, Russia, China, and more. Accessibility--aimed for a wide audience in both the general and Christian markets. Faith--Joel shares his faith in Jesus Christ and the reliability of Scripture. Epicenter will answer questions like: Will Iraq go from bad to worse? Will Israel and her Arab neighbors find peace, or is another major Middle East war just around the corner? If the new, post-Soviet Russia is our friend, why is the Kremlin creating a new class of thermonuclear weapons and building an alliance with radical Islam?

A must listen to book.......2007-10-11
A very thought provoking book. Everyone needs to listen to this book or read the printed copy. Our national leaders should read/listen to this book.
Dot Connecting .......2007-10-11
I watched the documentary based on this book. Great production, solid historical facts, and then the conclusion: God will save Israel without the help of the EU, the UN or USA. God will do this miraculously while we stand around and watch in awe.
These are the same folks who brought us "Left Behind", the apocolyptic series based on the book of Revelation. (Remember the "rapture" craze of the 90's?) Same folks, different crisis. Only this one is based on the book of Ezekiel.
An excellent read for those interested Mid-Eastern philosophy & prophecy.......2007-10-05
If you are a student of Biblical prophecy and the current mid--eastern conflicts, you will be fascinated by the author's ability to tie past, present, and fututre events together. If this topic isn't your "cup of tea," this book could provide fodder to create an interest - definitely worth reading.
Very Interesting-Must Read For Jew & Gentile.......2007-09-29
I found this book to be very interesting if you like end of times prophecy.
Couldn't Put it Down!!.......2007-09-19
Honestly, one of the best books I have ever read. He does a fantastic job of juxtaposing todays headlines with scripture...amazing!
Book Description
"Most of what you've heard, read or been told about the End Times is wrong," says popular radio host and bestselling apologist, Hank Hanegraaff. "We have come to accept a wide range of beliefs and teachings about the future, about the ultimate battle between good and evil, about the last days, and about how our world will end. And most of these beliefs and teachings are based on fundamental misinterpretations of what the scriptures really say about the end times."
The Apocalypse Code helps readers understand what the Bible
really says about End Times, and why what we believe matters so much in today's world.

Dispensationalists Beware!!.......2007-10-07
Kudos to Hank Hanegraaff for yet another powerful book exposing questionable doctrines which have risen to popularity within the Christian Church. In "Apocalypse Code", Hank goes through the history and forces behind the dispensationalist movement which has gained strength in the last 10 years with the "Left Behind" series. As always, Hank approaches the reading of Revalations and other Bible prophesy from the perspective of LIGHTS - the acronym explaining proper principles of bible interpretation. In the book, Hank spends the first quarter of the book just reminding the reader how to read scriptures "for all it's worth".
The book spends most of its pages refuting the dispensationalist author Tim LaHaye. This is really the whole thrust of the book. When Hank mentioned he was starting this project on his radio program, I had high hopes that Hank would not just refute dispensationalism, but go into great detail about the whole spectrum of end time prophesy interpretations. By only focusing on refuting dispensationalism, he leaves woefully short the other interpretations (biblically correct or not) and instead challenges the reader to figure it out for himself. While clearly a partial pretarist, he only briefly talks about full pretarism and pretrib/postrib interpretations and all the rest. GIVE ME MORE MEAT HERE!
I suppose such a wish from me would have resulted in a book 3-4 times longer than this one, but it would have been more enlightening and easier to have in one resource. However, "Apocalypse Code" would be a great resource for anyone who got caught in the "Left Behind" hype and found some or all of the interpretations hard to buy into and need to seek help learning that their bologne indicators were probably right.
good, but could have been much better.......2007-09-08
I had high hopes for this book. After studying the Partial Preterist view for a few years with a very skeptical mind, I became convinced. Given Hanegraaff's reputation, the length of the book, and the table of contents I thought sure this would be the definitive book to explain the position, but alas. Here are a few points
1. I think the average reader won't know anything about this view. Hank should have explained the underlying suppositions more. Still, the basics are there for anyone to investigate further.
2. It is important to learn this veiw methodically since it is so radically different from any futurist view, and remarkably different from the Amillenialist view. Hank doesn't present it methodically, rather it is presented somewhat piecemeal. Still, it does present the most important points so it is very valuable.
3. Even for someone like me who has read extensively, this book is not written particularly well. He is a bit vague and doesn't present the material very clearly. This is a style issue, not content. Still, for the person who wants to know and reads the references, it is a good beginning.
All in all, I was dissatisfied but I am glad it is out there. If this view is correct (and I think it is) it will revolutionize the thinking of believers, from what's coming in the future to our understanding of the nature of God Himself.
Hank's magnum opus.......2007-09-06
Masterful review of bible principles. sound theology and delightful use of logic and vocabulary. slightly rough on his critiques but very accurate. Not to be read slightly, moderately deep. Perfect companion for his last book on resurrection.
Adds Nothing New to the Debate.......2007-08-31
Overall, I don't think this book will have the same impact on the "end-times" movement that Christianity in Crisis, and Counterfeit Revival had on the Word-Faith and Extreme Pentecostal movements. I do think that the appearance of books like Apocalypse Code and others which challenge the prevailing eschatological view are beneficial. While their effect is like touching an exposed nerve, the end result is they are exposing some major chinks in the armor of a view that has traditionally been left unchallenged. Even with its flaws, Apocalypse Code's can have a therapeutic effect by helping those who want an pop-genre introduction to the movement's eschatological theology, its extra-biblical nature and the motives behind the personalities who are driving it.
Ultimately, I find the publication of the book to be of greater impact than it content. I see it as an indicator that pre-millennial Dispensational eschatology is no longer untouchable. As such, it's an important step in opening the debate to a wider audience. However, as for it content, it really brings no new facts to the table that have not already been published in other books critical of Dispensationalism.

Finally someone makes since about end times.......2007-08-20
Having read the bible several times and after years of hearing nothing but the "Left Behind" theory for end times, I kept wondering where they were getting this theory. I would read the supposed text to back it up and not see anything remotely close to what they were saying. I kept wondering if there were something wrong with me. It is so refreshing to have someone making sound arguements on the topic. This book is an absolute must read for anyone wanting to understand the bible. It does not answer all your questions but it points in a reasonable direction instead of a blind alley.

Best Beth Moore Yet.......2007-10-08
I have done numerous other Beth Moore studies (David: A Heart Like His, Jesus, the One and Only, To Live Is Christ, etc.), and so far, the Daniel study is my favorite. Beth has a unique way of making ancient Biblical texts extremely pertinent to today's world, and the Daniel study is her best example of this yet. One caveat: the DVDs that go with this study are much more critical than they usually are. In the past, my group has done the homework sessions on our own without watching the DVDs, and that has never been a problem. However, for the Daniel study, Beth relies heavily on the DVD sessions within the homework, so the DVDs are pretty critical. Daniel is a book that deals with some challenging subjects (prophecy, etc.), and her explanation of these events in the lectures are enormoulsy helpful in understanding and applying the truths of the Book of Daniel to our lives.
I would definitely recommend this study for anyone that wants to invest the time in deepening their faith, but be warned...this is definitely an in-depth study that requires a definite commitment of energy and time.
Daniel: Life of Integrity, Words of Profecy.......2007-09-30
It's an excellent Bible study. The best I've had so far!! I'm enjoying it a lot. I recoment to any Christian regardless of denomination.
Fabulous, life-changing study!.......2007-08-21
This is the best Bible study I have ever done. It has been life-changing. It is completely re-training my thoughts and actions to be more like Jesus Christ's. Beth Moore provides excellent insight to the lessons to be learned from Daniel in Scripture and also give great encouragement and pushes you to learn! It's GREAT!!! Also, it's great for new believers, those questioning and considering following Christ, and those who've been Christians for ages.
Daniel Study Guide.......2007-08-15
Beth Moore does a great job with her lessons and her study guide is easy to use. The only drawback is that it is hard to write in because of the spine. It would be easier to use if it had a spiral spine so that you could lay it flat.
Daniel: Lives of integrity, words of Prophecy.......2007-05-25
This is a good work book to follow Beth's series on the book of Daniel.

Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Replacement Book.......2007-03-08
My friend loaned this book to me and over time I was not able to find it. I ordered this one to replace the first one. When I got it in the mail (in excellent condition--I don't return less than what I borrow) my daughter said, "but that book is...." and she proceeded to tell me where to find my friend's book. Oh well, I now have a copy too.

End Time Charts.......2006-11-07
Fantastic CD with charts that cover all those found in the book, Charting the End Times. Each chart can be printed out in 3 different formats. If you have a desire to understand the end times, this CD is a must!
Surprisingly Different Contribution to Eschatology..........2006-09-05
With many endtimes books on the market, several by LaHaye and Ice, I'd expected that this book would be predictable and redundant, so was surprised that its unique combination of 50 colorful charts with instructive text indeed adds to prophecy comprehension. So, for example regarding the Temple Mount, instead of merely reading a historical and discriptive narrative, there's also the following--
Chart #34-The Tabernacle, Temple and Ark in History and Prophecy includes
- Timeline with descriptions ("Conquest and Settlement," "Monarchy," "Exile," etc.)
- Above, pictures of corresponding structures (Tabernacle, 1st Temple, 2nd Temple, Dome of the Rock, etc.)
- Below, descriptions (for ex, "Ark is built by Moses and Bezalel," "2nd Temple Enlarged (Herod)")
- Way above, glowing light pictures above only the structures that God dwelt in ("Shekinah glory")
Other helpful charts are #22-"75-Day Preparation for the Millenium" (the 75-Day Interval); # 28-"The Dispensations," and #34-"Ezekiel 40-48," which included "2-D Millenial Temple" and "Division of Land During the Millenium." Both the book dimensions and the quality, glossy pages make CHARTING THE END TIMES a possible coffee table book suitable for discussion-starting or for being easily found to inform anyone left behind after the rapture. Both LaHaye and Ice are "pre-trib, pre-mil dispensationalists," which is reflected in this book, and which just means that they think the rapture will happen before ("pre") a literal Tribulation period of 7 years before ("pre") a literal Millenium of a literal 1000 year reign of Christ on Earth. For readers not into LaHaye's bestselling LEFT BEHIND fiction series, I'm not either, yet I found this book impressive.
Why continue to be deceived..........2006-06-26
Tim LaHaye, Jerry Jenkins, and others in the Pre-Trib circle, such as Ed Hindson, Tommy Ice, Chuck Missler, etc., continue to put forth the same deceptions that Hal Lindsey popularized decades ago. The notion of a pre-tribulation rapture is foreign to scripture, it is foreign to the teachings of the early Church, and it is grooming the Church for destruction through ignorance and lack of preparation for what is really coming. These men are novices and not prophecy "experts" or "scholars" by any stretch of the imagination; they are those who tickle the ears of gullible Christians. Why continue to be deceived? Tim Cohen, in his excellent book, "The AntiChrist and a Cup of Tea," provides biblically sound and testable evidence to show that the coming AntiChrist is known NOW. Not only that, the same author (Tim Cohen) has now put out the strongest presentation on the whole issue of the rapture EVER offered to the saints of God in Christ: "The REAL Rapture". If you really want to know the truth about the timing of the coming rapture, then you need to hear Tim Cohen's "The REAL Rapture" (based on a volume in his forthcoming "Messiah, History, and the Tribulation Period" series (see Prophecy House's web site, prophecyhouse dot com, for details on these items).

If you are a Prophet, have the gift of prophecy or seeking just to know about the prophetic this is it. I have been desiring clarity of what I have been hearing from the Holy Spirit about the prophetic and this is one tool that you cannot do without. There's nothing like a book that gives scriptures with its definitions and not only has my vocabulary increased about the prophetic but this book has been useful in bringing clarity to the symbolic language in my dreams from God. Thanks to the author for having the heart and courage to share what God has truly given!

I thank the Lord for Paula and others who have paid the price and counted the cost to get this book out and others like it. The material is there use it. You do not have to go digging for it if it is already available for you. I know she had to go through a lot of trials and testings to get this book out from the enemy! Thank the Lord He has opened up the door to make this available to His children. This will be a wonderful tool to help in study and Dream interpretation. 5 stars... should be 10 stars! Thank you Paula, God Bless!
Excellent Resourse.......2007-02-16
I have looked at a lot of books about dreams and symolizism. Although this book is detailed, it has a lot of information for the price. I guess I was ready for a little more depth. If you prefer something with less reading, consider Ira Mulligan's Understanding the Dreams You Dream. There are not many choices in a dictionary type reference for dream interpreting.

Within the Shiite Sect, (which is predominate in Iran), it is prophesied that there is a coming 12th Imam who is the great spiritual savior. This Imam is named Abu al-Qasim Muhammad or also called Muhammad al Mahdi. He is said to have been born the son of the 11th Imam, Hasan Al-Askari and his wife, the granddaughter of an Emperor. There are conflicting statements of her name being either Fatima or Nargis Khatoon.
Most accounts of the story say that al Mahdi went into hiding as a child around the age of 5 years (about 13th Century). It said he has been `in hiding' in caves ever since but will supernaturally return just before the Day of Judgment. According to the Hadith the criteria for the Hidden Imam are:
He will be a descendant of Muhammad and the son of Fatima
Will have a broad forehead and pointed nose
Will return just before the end of the world
His appearance will be preceded by a number of prophetic events during 3 years of horrendous world chaos, tyranny and oppression
Will escape from Madina to Mekkah, thousands will pledge allegiance to him
Will rule over the Arabs and the world for 7 years
Will eradicate all tyranny and oppression bringing harmony and total peace
Will lead a prayer in Mekkah which Jesus will be at his side and follow in
Remarkably, the 12th Imam theory plays heavily into the world's current concerns with Iran. The Shiite Muslim President of Iran, Ahmadinejad, is deeply committed to the Islamic Messiah, al Mahdi. There have been many through the years claiming to be the Hidden Imam but Ahmadinejad believes he is yet to come. He claims that he is to personally prepare the world for the coming Mahdi. In order to save the world, it must be in a state of chaos and subjugation. Ahmadinejad claims he was "directed by Allah to pave the way for the glorious appearance of the Mahdi". This apocalyptic directive includes some very scary proclamations.
The 12th Imam: Why Is This Especially Important Now?
While Christians look for Jesus' 2nd coming, the Jews await the Messiah and Muslims await the 12th Imam. However, of the three, Allah's designated Mahdi is the only one who demands a violent path to conquer the world. Mr. Ahmadinejad, and his cabinet, say they have a `signed contract' with al Mahdi in which they pledge themselves to his work. What does this work involve? In light of concerns over Iran's nuclear capabilities, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has reportedly stated Israel should be wiped off the map. He spoke to the United Nations in September '05. During that speech he claims to have been in an aura of light and felt a change in the atmosphere during which time no one present could blink their eyes. Iran's PM is also said to have spoken in apocalyptic terms and seems to relish conflict with the West whom he calls the Great Satan. This is while he proclaims he must prepare the world for the coming Mahdi by way of a world totally under Muslim control. He is working hard to bring about the world-wide horrors that must be in place for their al Mahdi to bring peace.
This notion and goal, along with a violent hatred of infidels, America and Israel reminds us of Biblical prophecies of the coming anti-Christ and the pledges of millions to a deceiving False Messiah who will claim to bring peace. Could this 12th Imam Mahdi and his servant Ahmadinejad spark the last days of the coming true Savior?
Here is a book which examines these very current events from the perspective of Islamic eschatology: what many believe is THE INEVITABLE unfolding of EndTime events. The author makes a very good case for understanding the very real conflict between BIBLICAL prophetic truth, ... and the Islamic-agenda in our very day and time. - Read it, ... and then PRAY for wisdom and insight.

the future is now.......2007-10-01
The author compares end times events of Islam and Christianity side by side, the results are eerily earth shattering. Islam's Messiah is very much like the Anti-Christ. Islam's Jesus Christ is like the false prophet. Islam's Anti Christ is like Jesus Christ. Islam's claims:
1. Their Messiah will make a 7 year treaty with a descendant of the High priest Aaron.
2. They behead their enemies such as Christians(method of killing the 5th seal saints).
3. They seek world domination ruled by their Messiah.
4. They deny the Deity, Incarnation, and death and resurection of Jesus Christ. (In 1 John, this is the spirit of anti-christ).
Some rebuttals:
1. The Islamic messiah will demand worship of himself.
Rebuttal to above sentence: 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (God will allow the people to be deceived by the anti-christ)
Convincing. Covers Daniel's prophecy about the various empires ruling Israel very well. This may be the real deal. Take it with a grain of salt.
If you read only one book..........2007-09-25
This should be it. As others have said there are lots of popular books interpreting Revelation and Daniel's vision of the end times hitting the top seller lists, but truth is seldom popular.
The best thing about this book is the lack of speculation on events to come. It simply informs Christians of the parallels between the end times forseen in the Bible and that forseen by Islam.
Outstanding Connections.......2007-09-25
The reemergence of Islam is something that's caught most of the West by surprise.. and those Christians in the West are no different.
Any examination of history should instruct us that violent Islam is nothing new. What is new though is that Islam is reenergized in a world that now has a Jewish state.
The great enemy of Israel at the End Time that the Bible writes about at length has to come from somewhere. And just as the emergence of Israel in 1948 caused a profound re-think of prophecy , so does the emergence of Israel's global nemesis.
This book is simply outstanding at doing what so many people are either unable or unwilling to do... look at what Muslims themselves say and believe regarding their own End Time.
By simply taking Islamic sources and comparing them to the Bible one finds a glaring match, each side from its own point of view.
EVERYTHING Chrisitans find evil in the Antichrist, the Muslims find good in the Mahdi.
The Muslims are raised from birth to exalt the AntiChrist. And as Islam spreads around the world, the one-world religion that many Christians thought was some New Age nonsense that would spring from nowhere and then everywhere is nothing but a fantasy. The One World Religion is right in front of us.
Our world is at risk and our leaders are clueless. The Leftists are especially clueless... stuck in their 1968 world. They don't realize it's really 622 AD and their time of choosing is coming... Submit to Islam or be killed.
Antichrist: Islam's Awaited Messiah.......2007-09-07
This is the best book about the coming Mahdi that I have ever found. I highly recommend it to those who are studying Islam or those who just want to know. I really learned a lot from this book and it only confirms what I have read before about Islamic Prophecy.

Brilliant Scholarship.......2007-05-14
Arnold Fruchtenbaum is one of the best scholars of Judeo-Christian Scripture I've found. His books should be among the foundational works for evangelical Christian thinking. Jewish readers would also gain insights into Christianity and historic Judaism by reading his works.
Book of Revelation is Finally Crystal Clear!.......2007-05-02
This is a WONDERFUL verse by verse explanation of the Book of Revelation! Most people don't realize what a truly Jewish book the book of Revelation is, it is only hard to understand IF you don't understand the OT. Dr. Fruchtenbaum is a Messianic Jew and the BEST teacher to explain the Scriptures from a Jewish perspective. What other perspective SHOULD there be? Jesus was a Jew, lived and taught the Jews, etc. So a Jewish perspective to one's Bible study is imperative if one is to understand the Bible - and ESPECIALLY Revelation.
Footsteps of the Messiah makes Revelation and end times Scripture clear and understandable in every day language. Dr. Fruchtenbaum thinks of everything.........so he included in the back of the book a Scripture Index, so you can look up ANY other Scripture and go directly to the page on which he talks about it!!!!
The Footsteps of the Messiah.......2007-04-08
Fantastic! Best book I've ever read that clearly states the prophecies from Biblical scriptures and clarifies prophecies of the "end times".
Especially appreciate the updates in the revised copy.
The Footsteps of the Messiah........2007-01-11
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone wanting to understand the Bible more thoroughly and future events. It was a very good book due to it answering many questions I had involving Bible texts. The book really gave me the incentive to re-read the Bible having the knowledge that different scripture relates to different time periods in the future.
Best Chronological Study of End Time Events.......2006-07-14
If you want to study the Biblical prophecy of end time events, as they happen in chronological order, then Footsteps is the book to read. In fact, it is the book to read anyway. Dr. Fruchtenbaum is the most authoritative author you will find. I have heard him speak on several occasions, and his thinking is coherent and compelling. He presents all the facts, discusses all opposing points of view, and presents facts to approve and disprove those points of view.
Book Description
Isreal's feasts are infinitely more important than just a series of cultural observances. These feasts are appointed by the Lord, and they are owned by the Lord. He calls them "
my feasts." Together they form God's prophetic calendar, outlining the work of history's most important person...Jesus, the Messiah. As such, few themes are more timely or rewarding for God's people today.
The Feasts of the Lord covers all aspects of the biblical feasts...historical background, biblical observance, and prophetic significance. Yet, this book is not just another reference book on the feasts. It is written from the Hebrew Christian viewpoint, helping you to see the feasts through Jewish eyes.
The words of the Savior, His messianic claims, and Bible prophecy will all take on a rich, new relevance for you against the exciting backdrop of
The Feasts of the Lord.

A Treasure Chest of Information.......2007-02-16
The pages are falling out of my copy of "The Feasts of the Lord" simply because of how many times I have referred to it while preparing lessons or sermons. I am almost brought to tears every time I read of the literal meaning of the "afikomen" at Passover. I gave a copy of this book to a Jewish friend who helped me in proofing the manuscript of "Maccabee." Though "The Feasts of the Lord" demonstrates unapologetically the New Testament fulfillment of the Old Testament feasts, the book was well received. A big thank you to the authors.
Incredible book.......2007-02-07
This is one of the most beautiful, high-quality books I own. The illustrations are amazing with rich colors and magnificent details. The writing is understandable and gives wonderful insight into Jewish history. This is an incredibly valuable tool for any serious Bible student and a treasure for any serious book collector.
Eye-Opening.......2007-01-13
This is one of my most treasured books. So wonderfully written, I felt like I was literally attending these feasts. Very eye-opening to end time events.
The Feasts of the Lord God's Prophetic Calendar From Calvary to the Kingdom.......2007-01-09
Beautifully put together book! Wonderful illustrations. A wealth of information and insight.
Review of the Lord's feasts.......2006-11-12
This is an excellent source and must reading for understanding God"s purposes im mankind's affairs. Further, it increases the understanding for the Christian in his roots and history. It connects all the dots to bridge, with understanding, the Jewish faith and the Christian faith to give clarity to the Christian belief system.

How have I gone from being a defender of Christianity to an atheist? That is the question of this book. I was a Christian apologist set for the express purpose of defending Christianity from intellectual attacks. I was not afraid of any idea, because I was convinced that Christianity was true and could withstand all attacks. Now I turn that same intellectual muscle into questioning the things I formerly defended.
There are three major experiences that happened in my life that changed my thinking. They all happened in the space of about five years, from 1991-1996. They are: 1) A major crisis, 2) plus information, 3) minus a sense of a loving, caring, Christian community. For me it was an assault of major proportions that if I still believed in the devil would say it was orchestrated by the legions of hell.
Afterward I began to doubt the very things I had previously argued for. You see, I knew most of the arguments against Christianity, and as a philosophy instructor in a secular college I could debate both sides of most any argument. Anyway, I have told people time and time again that I could teach philosophy until I was blue in the face so long as I knew I had a loving, caring, and faithful Christian community to fall back on after my class is over. When that fell through the floor, the doubts crept in my life.
As the doubts crept in, my life changed, and so did my thinking. This book shares both the experiences that changed my life, and focuses on the ideas that I now reject. It is a look at Christianity from an insider's perspective from start to finish.

This is the best single overall refutation of Christianity you can buy!.......2007-10-08
I was raised in a Christian Fundamentalist home my whole life. From first through 12th grade I was home schooled, and was taught everything through the Christian fundamentalist lense. After High school I attended a hyper fundamentalist place called Honor Academy. At Honor Academy I gained interest in philosophy and Christian apologetics and decided to dedicate my life to Christian apologetics. I am 23 now and since then I have read hundreds of Christian Apologetics books. I have read all of Lewis, all of Schaeffer, all of Peter Kreeft, all of Dr. Geisler's books, including his encyclopedia A-Z twice, and his Systematic Theology twice, I have read Plantinga, McDowell, Craig, Ravi, Moreland, Holding, Swinburne, N.T Wright, Paul Copan, R.C Sproul, Van Til, Gary Habermas, Lee Strobel, David Noebel, Francis Beckwith, Chuck Colson, Nancy Pearcy, Chesterton, Stuart C. Hacket, Martin, Richard Purtill, and many other Christian Philosophers and theologians . I was until recently enrolled at Dr. Geisler's school to study apologetics and philosophy.
This year I decided in order to be fair and honest to read all the top skeptical books on religion. So I did some research and made a list of over 100 books. I am now at book 76 and consider myself a confident Atheist. This book was one of the first I read. I was drawn to it since Mr. Loftus used to be an Apologist. This was the first skeptical book I read that made me seriously realize that I could be dead wrong! I hope Mr. Loftus keeps on writing, the market is very strongly in need of literature like his.
I think this book is the best single overall refutation of Christianity written, especially at the popular level. I think this book is superior for multiple reasons.
1. Its scope and coverage is more exhaustive on issues crucial to Christianity then other books.
2. Mr. Loftus anticipate objections from Christian philosophers and theologians that most skeptics do not, due to their lack of familiarity with the other side.
3. The book packs so much in such a little space, it has amazing brevity and at the same time brilliantly dismantles many core Christian beliefs and deals with many central issues that are left out of other works
4. The authors familiarity with Christian Theology and philosophy makes him much better at drawing fine and important distinctions that other skeptics miss, due to their lack of expertise of the other side.
5. The personal Deconversion narrative woven through out the book gives it an informal and personal touch that makes it more fascinating to read than other skeptical books. Plus he is the only skeptical author that I know of that was a highly competent Christian Apologist and Philosopher, this of course is another unique feature.
6. The authors non-abrasive style sets your book apart from many other skeptic books. He wrote the book in such a way as not to polarize the believer. The average believer would be much more likely to read this book than other similar books due to his respectful manner. This I congratulate him on.
There are many other noble things about his book. But basically what I am saying is that I think Mr. Loftus has written by far the best single overall refutation of Christianity in print! This is the best book to give to a believer. If I could only pick one book for my Christian friends to read, this book by far wins, no contest. If your a skeptic you should buy multiple copies for your friends and family, and if your a believer you should do yourself a favor and buy copies for yourself and your friends and start honestly examining the claims of Christianity from both sides.
This guy was no apologist.......2007-10-08
The title of this book is a little bit misleading. This guys claims that he was formerly an "apologist." Unfortunately, having a head full of knowledge, answers, etc. does not an apologist make. A true apologist is able to look at the philosophy of atheism (or any other competing worldview/religion) and recognize the internal flaws and inconsistencies of the philosophy.
Atheism is full of poor philosophy (begging the question, special pleading, etc.), and a true apologist would not only be familiar with the objections presented toward Christianity by atheism, but would have an understanding of why the atheist's arguments are flawed. Being familiar with their arguments is worthless if a theologian is unable to explain the internal inconsistencies and poor philosophy.
On to the substance of the book...
As stated in many of the comments here, this is just a guy who threw a temper tantrum when things didn't turn out the way he wanted them to. He blames God for the way God's people act as a result. This is absolutely ridiculous...if someone were to have a child, and that child were to grow up and murder someone on their own free will, would the parent stand trial.
Enough said...I feel sorry for this guy, but his ad hominem arguments and senseless ramblings aren't worth your money. He tried to do something - and expected others to do something - that nobody can do: live a good, Christian life; and he blames God for the shortcomings of God's children.
Ridiculous.
I feel sorry for any student who has learned "philosophy" from this man.
I know I'll be put to the flames for this, but that's just because the so-called "free thinkers" aren't really "freely thinking."
Catharsis.......2007-09-22
Mr. Loftus has written a thorough treatise on why he rejected his evangelical Christianity and became and atheist. This is not solely a personal account of why he left the church and ministry, although it starts out that way. The book begins with a brief biography, explaining how he became so enamored of evangelical x-tianity that he eventually made the ministry his livelihood. It is particularly honest of Mr. Loftus to quote his early writings in these passages so the reader can see how thoughtful yet profoundly mistaken he was.
The remainder of the book is Mr. Loftus addressing some of the main problems of the Jesus religion and the Bible. He wants the reader to understand that he did not reject x-tianity so he could sin and not feel guilt--his was a thoughtful and scholarly admission that x-tianity cannot be a description of real historical events upon which a person should base her/his life.
If Jesus was a historical figure, about which no one can be certain, he did not perform miracles; he probably didn't die on a cross or tree; and he most certainly didn't arise zombie-like from the dead and scare gullible folk in Palestine before ascending to heaven. The Bible, Loftus comes to understand, is mythologic ramblings of superstitious peasants. The story of Adam and Eve is clearly a fable; there was no universal flood; people don't repent in a whale's gullet and then preach to Nineveh. The Gospels are clearly embellishments of an early god-man myth, the writers of which are clearly trying to convince other people to believe in their brand of x-tianity rather than trying to tell us of real events (to which they could not have been witnesses).
An important fact arises from Mr. Loftus' discussion--intelligent adults rarely becomes x-tians. The author, William Craig Lane, and most people who babble about x-tianity joined before they were thinking clearly (as adolescents), or were inculcated as children. An intelligent outsider would never buy all the baloney that is x-tianity.
After coming to these shocking conclusions, Mr. Loftus was left with no choice but to look at the world rationally and employ healthy skepticism as he re-created his entire world view. The bulk of Mr. Loftus' exegesis is lengthy quotations from John Hick, William Craig Lane, and many apologists from the InterVarsity Press (what a freakshow that place must be!). This is a highly recommended read for those who have the courage to examine the predominant superstition in the United States.
the former and the weasel..........2007-09-04
One thing that both Christianity and Atheism show is that there seems to be no escape from dogmatism for the intelligentsia of all ages throughout the entire history of society. Organisation around ideas is the rule and not the exception within the scope of the human social experience. Case in point: these three sentences.
LOL.......2007-08-17
Another laughable attempt to use logic where there is no bases for it.
You cannot prove or disprove God. This is the only truth.
The author by his own admission is jaded. Not because of truth, but because he had some bad experiences. He can doctor it up however he wants with as many words as he wants but that is the best summary of this book and ones like it.
