Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

The Only Astrology Book you'll ever Need.......2007-09-30
This is a fantastic book. I have already constructed charts for some of my friends and interpreted it for them. the book's interpretation of the natal chart is very thorough and unbelievably accurate. The book also provides deep insight and descriptions of how astrological interpretations work that is insightful into the deeper meaning underlying this cosmic tool.
For better or worse it is ALWAYS right!.......2007-08-23
This book is SO on! With any new relationship I check to see what the book predicts and for better or worse it is always right. Maybe I should pay more attention to what the book says and it would save me some time and heart ache ;) The title says it all really.
Very Helpful.......2007-08-23
I already knew the basics of Astrology, but this book and program has helped me a lot. Even my husband, who is very knowledgeable about Astrology, found it quite informative and easy to use
The title says it all.......2007-08-13
I had the original version of this book that was purchased for me at a used book store and I used it to death. When I found that there was an updated version with an interactive CD ROM, I had to have it, and it's wonderful. The CD ROM makes the whole chart experience so easy with page by page reference so that you can go right to the page that involves the person's chart you're working on. It really is the only astrology book you'll ever need. It has everything, and it's so easy to use and understand. I recommend it for anyone new or experienced in the world of astrology.
Lives up to the title.......2007-07-26
I received this as a Birthday gift a few years ago. Having glanced over the tripe presented within, I soon decided that it probably IS the 'only' astrology book I'll ever need. Four years on and I have still not been struck with an urge to seek additional counsel...

Poor Editing.......2007-06-15
It is time for Ted Andrews to take his share of responsibility for the poor quality of book produced by Dragonhawk Publishing (which I suspect is his own label). This book is so poorly edited that information at times becomes incomprehensible and/or inaccurate. His Animal Wise Tarot suffered from the same problem. This is an insult to readers. I respect the author's knowledge but will never buy another copy of any book he publishes under Dragonhawk; readers work hard for their money and deserve more respect than what Mr. Andrews is showing. How spiritually correct is that?
Very Informative Book!.......2007-05-09
This book has alot of very useful information. I'm sure I will be using it as a reference book for a long while.
A great work.......2007-04-15
I really really liked this book. It was relatively aimed at Wiccans and Pagans, but it had very nice information, both of a spiritual nature, and scientifically so, about all sorts of herbs, flowers, and trees. Some of the exercises seemed a little weird to me, but to each his own- someone might really benefit from these. I see the outdoors as an even more beautiful place after reading this book. Its definately worth buying!
Finding Spiritual in Everyday Life.......2007-01-03
After reading this book, you will not look at the world the same. Andrews points out simple ways to find the Divine in the everyday. A simple walk outside in your yard can be an act of worship!
Everything you could ask about Nature's symbolism (to you).......2006-02-27
I was on vacation in NW Canada Rockies area and discovered this book in a little shop, and I couldn't leave the country without it (just in case I couldn't find it quick enough in the US). It's beyond "plants" you ID with. There's ceremonies (like making a staff -- or celebrating Solstice etc), a dictionary of landscapes (why are you drawn to oceans), magical rhythms (like seasons, angels, etc) ... even the meaning of numbers in nature (why did you plant two birches?) And of course the expected definition of plants, trees, flowers, etc. (Marigold: "keynote: words have healing power; sacrifice out of love if necessary." "It is a flower of love and sacrifice")
Book Description
Signs orient, inform, persuade, and regulate. They help give meaning to our natural and human-built environment, to landscape and place. In Signs in America's Auto Age, cultural geographer John Jakle and historian Keith Sculle explore the ways in which we take meaning from outdoor signs and assign meaning to our surroundingsthe ways we "read" landscape. With an emphasis on how the use of signs changed as the nation's geography reorganized around the coming of the automobile, Jakle and Sculle consider the vast array of signs that have evolved since the beginning of the twentieth century.
Using a rich archive of trade and professional magazines along with existing academic literature and the landscape itself, Jakle and Sculle offer compelling images and commentary on commercial and regulatory signs in both downtown and roadside settings. They explore how reading and displaying signs contribute to our sense of community and our sense of self, the aesthetics of signs, and how, through regulation, Americans have responded to signs as both beauty and blight in their landscape.
Broad in scope and significant for its consideration of both the look and meaning of signs in the context of twentieth-century history and society, Signs in America's Auto Age will appeal to those with an interest in American cultural geography, urban history, and popular culture.
Book Description
As sensationalists and skeptics wreak havoc with the country's emotions, prophecy expert Mark Hitchcock provides a much-needed definition of what is meant by "signs of the times." Hitchcock discusses the current interest in prophecy caused by the 9/11 attack, presents Jesus' own forecast for the future of the world, and details five major global developments today that discernibly signal Christ's coming. This balanced, concise overview of the real signs of the times will clarify Christ's instructions challenging his followers to be alert in the final days. Readers will easily find and absorb the information they need to prepare for His return.
Customer Reviews:
Another Great Book by a Great Author.......2005-02-11
This is the third book I've read by Mark Hitchcock and as usual, it's a great book. The author has a gift of being able to explain the details in a short, consise way. Excellent reading for those who don't want a lot of details but want a clear explanation.
typical fare from this one-trick pony.......2004-12-08
I've always thought that a well-versed Bible scholar and minister should be able to speak on a number of topics, but Rev. Hitchcock sticks to the same old stock formula that made his other books sell. One-dimensional and appealing to literal-minded Christians only, this entry into the Signs of the Times series will simply make the anxious reader even more anxious about today's world. Are we living in troubled times? Definitely. Is it the end of the world? Nobody can truly say.
(If it WERE, these authors would give these books away free, as there would be no reason or opportunity to use money during the Second Coming.) For real answers about end times, find a level-headed minister in your own community and save your money.
Heard it all before.......2003-07-11
Heard all this nonsense before. It does not even deserve a review.
GR8 intro to prophecy booklet!.......2002-06-19
Mark really did an ace job getting, 'End Times' Bible prophecy and its relation to current events in a 100 page booklet. I've read it three times now and think it's just a TREASURE! Mark Hitchcock is a BLESSED and exciting new writter and he's just as informative as Tim Lahaye. Keep up the GREAT work Mark!
Book Description
Earth-energies scholar Leviton looks at the exploding number of reports from around the world of Virgin Mary apparitions, UFO sightings, and crop circle formations, and comes to the conclusion that something very real and very important is happening. Focusing on a few global "hot spots" of such activity including Lourdes, Topanga Canyon in California, and Wiltshire, England, Leviton explains why these events continue to happen, how the three phenomena are connected, and, most importantly, what they are attempting to tell us about the future of the Earth. Richard Leviton is the author of ten books including The Emerald Modem (Hampton Roads, ISBN 1-57174-245-X, 2004) and The Galaxy on Earth (Hampton Roads, ISBN 1-57174-222-0, 2002).
Book Description
How is it possible that Earth's atmospheric temperature has remained perfectly suited to supporting life for billions of years? Why do oxygen levels in the atmosphere remain relatively stable when only a minuscule increase would cause everything on Earth to spontaneously combust? Why are the oceans salty, but not salty enough to make them uninhabitable? In the 1960s, an English scientist names James Lovelock formulated a groundbreaking and highly controversial explanation: Earth is alive.
Naming his theory after the ancient Greek earth goddess, Lovelock's "Gaia hypothesis" argued that everything on the planet -- air, water, soil, and living organisms -- somehow act together in a global, self-organizing system to maintain conditions suitable to sustaining and perpetuating life. Lovelock speculated that the geosphere and biosphere were interdependent and that every part of the Earth system worked in symbiotic harmony with every other part. Once considered more science fiction than legitimate science, the Gaia hypothesis was met with indifference, and even hostility, when it was first revealed. The theory only started to gain widespread attention when emerging issues such as environmental degradation and global warming proved that a single species -- humans -- could radically upset the ecological and atmospheric balance of the planet. While Gaia attracted a quasi-religious following among environmentalists and New Age spiritualists, it was still largely viewed with skepticism by the scientific community. But over the past few decades, many of Lovelock's ideas have led to significant breakthroughs. In fact, the Gaia hypothesis has developed into a guiding principle for a vast range of discrete inquiries into how the Earth works, often referred to as "Earth system science" or "geophysiology." Telling the story of this maverick pioneer and his long struggle to gain respectability, Lovelock and Gaia explains how Lovelock's remarkable hypothesis is gradually ushering in a scientific revolution.
