Book Description
Fancy Nancy is back! And when her family decides to get a dog, she's certain she can be fancier than ever. After all, a papillon—a small, delicate, fluffy dog—is the ultimate accessory. But her family wants a large, plain dog. How unglamorous!
With Fancy Nancy's trademark humor and warmth, Nancy discovers that real fanciness does not depend simply on appearance but more on a genuine joie de vivre, which is a fancy phrase for having lots of fun.

A must for any little girl!.......2007-10-02
I got my daughter her first Fancy Nancy book when she turned 2, and now everything that is girly she calls fancy Nancy, shoes, purses and anything sparkley! Great to read for bedtime too. I can't wait for the next books to come out!
Printed in China XXXXXX .......2007-09-26
I Can't understand why the first book was printed in the USA and this one is printed in CHINA! Is there lead in this book like many of their toys??
I think Amazon should list this if this is the case
A very "posh" book!.......2007-09-26
I purchased Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy to go along with the original Fancy Nancy book for my 5 year old granddaughter . . . I had them sent directly to her house while I knew I would be visiting so we could open them together and start reading. My granddaughter loved them and I had to read them several times during our first sitting! The story is very cute and age-appropriate, and the illustrations and colors are perfect for little girls her age. I wish these books had been out when my girls were little! I love the word "posh" because I was born in the country where it's most popularly used.

That title is the opinion of my six-year-old granddaughter. She and her mom re-read it every night.

A good basic guide.......2007-09-28
This is a good basic guide to RC helicopters. Because of its age it has little information specific to electric helicopters so it is more useful to those running nitro helis. But even for electric fliers it has good basic info on setup and flight but don't expect too much.
Out of date and superficial.......2007-03-16
The book is a very basic guide. I was dissapointed regarding the level of information - very basic, and the dated nature of the information. The book has not been updated since it's first printing and it is way out of date. Only the cover has been re-done to give the impression that it is much newer than it acutally is.
Not Recomended.
more needed.......2005-12-20
good book for the most part. however, despite it being reprinted in '04, it is really lacking in up-to-date info for anyone considering electric helis as an entrypoint to the hobby. also, the section on flight simulators is woefully inadequate and in no way reflects what is available today (eg G3, XTR etc).
both these two areas have come along in leaps and bounds in the last few years and this book would be more complete if the info were up-to-date. The existence of high-quality simulators with extrememly advanced physics can drastically cut the entry cost for a beginner (i'm talking from experience!) which is an important factor when considering whether or not to take the plunge. that said, it still makes a good read and explains a lot.
for those interested in the electric-path here's the latest beginner's guide: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=439635
A real guide for the beginner.......2005-08-14
The best thing about this book is that it is really a guide - it gives you all the information you need from the basics, through choosing your first helicopter model to flying and repairing it. After reading it you will feel you know something about this great hobby and be ready to get into it. Plus it's written in understandable and entertaining style so even if you know something about the topic you won't be bored to read about it.
The only drawback is the price - 26 dollars for tiny paperback with only black and white pictures is bit too much, so after you open the package you may think you wasted your money. But only until you start to read it. The text is worth the the price for sure.
New and Improved and a Must-Have.......2005-05-20
Papillon's book has been revised substantially, but even the old one was a keeper. The new one has more information and less of the risible Anglicisms that peppered the text of the previous edition.
Nick Papillon, an Englishman with a French name (meaning "butterfly," hilarious for someone so involved in model helicopters) has a finely developed sense of what we hobbyists want from a book like this one, and he knows what to leave out, too. Here in San Francisco we have a club, the Flying Goobers, that meets monthly--and in the summer, weekly--at Baker Beach and I would say about forty per cent of our members already own one or both of Nick's handbooks. Sometimes the air is awash with the sound of seagulls and the hovering buzz of our RCs. Indeed sometimes we adjourn somewhere else when the air is too filled with static, etc., too many speedboats patrolling the Bay seem to such the energy right out of the controls. Feels like earthquake weather.
If you want to know about aerobatics, beyond your simple push-pull, up-down "flight patterns," he's got it all down in language that is fairly easy to understand even for the tyro. His chapter, "After the Crash," while sobering enough, is one of those classic, stop feeling sorry for yourself and get out there and do it again sort of pep talks. When I started I didn't know the difference between a transmitter and a receiver, they'd call me the "late great Johnny Ace" with a sneer. Now the shoe is on the other foot as I explain to the newbies why lithium is cheaper in the long run, et cetera, all knowledge I got either from fellow Goobers or from pal Nick's rc handbook.

Love This!.......2007-05-13
This was a very informative book about Papillons. It was especially helpful to me because I am a new owner of a Papillon and I learned a lot. It discussed a wide variety of topics from obedience to health issues. The pictures were wonderful and enjoyable also!
A great read for owners and owners-to-be.......2007-03-05
Please do read up on these small wonders before you let one own you. All dogs are beautiful, all unique, find exactly the qualities best suited to you and your life style.
I must have contacted a dozen breeders and asked hundreds of questions, read for months before I adopted my two year old Papillon. And still, he surprised me, he surprises me all the time. It's like having children, people can tell you all about it, but until you have one of your own it's hard to imagine.
I would not part with Rudy for all the world now. Yes, being a rescue, he did have some baggage, and we're working on that. Brave little soul that he is, he was willing to take a chance on me.
Thanks to Deborah Wood's insights, we will have a better understanding of one another.
One of the things she mentions that really delighted me, and I have not found information to suggest otherwise, is that these dogs can live fourteen to sixteen years, and perhaps longer, if well-cared for and in good health. I certainly hope so.
But I do not find, as she states, that Papillons are as delicate and easily injured as she fears. Compared to other toy sized dogs I have owned and known, Rudy seems quite sturdy. I often refer to him as my pocket sized Border Collie for that reason, and because of his high energy ball-chasing games.
There are pictures of a couple of injured dogs in the book (nothing graphic), but had my Poodle or Pom pulled capers as Rudy does, neither would have lived to tell about it. The other two would have broken a leg taking the leaps he enjoys. This guy climbs ladders. It's enough to scare Mommy to death! And there he is, at the top smiling.
He is definately one of the most intelligent dogs I've ever seen. Is there nothing he can't learn or figure out? He uses his front paws much like hands, hides toys inside boxes and bags so he can later find them, and that sense of smell is really something too. He even throws his own ball if nobody else will.
The author gives very good advice on finding the right puppy after telling you what this breed about, the variety of personalities you may find, the behaviors to expect and so on, so you can decide if this is truly the dog for you.
I'm glad to see there was a brief mention about adopting - I have no qualms about buying from reputable breeders (some people are on the breeder team, or the adopter team, and won't see the good side of the other for nothin' - I am not that girl. I know there is room for both. I adopt because that's what I do, it's what is right for me). I only wish she'd have put a little more effort into that, as it is a complicated matter and there is much to be said.
There is as much to discuss about finding a decent adoption agency and how to check out a rescue dog as there is about buying a pup from a breeder. I'm sure the rescue she mentioned would have been thrilled had she asked for their advice on the topic.
Overall, I think you'll find this book a delight to read. The pictures are beautiful. And it seems even if you've had a Papillon for a while, you'll get a lot of useful information. Even if you only buy it to read the training section, it's worth the money. It's not just about housebreaking; it's that, problem behavoirs, plus all the wonderful things a smart pooch can learn. I knew Pap's did agility and assistance, but dog dancing? Who knew dogs so tiny could do that? And the advice on the barking is priceless!
Great Guide!.......2006-08-15
I adopted a rescue Pap several years ago and enjoy reading up on the breed, though I have no interested in breeding or showing. This book covers some familiar ground, but has lots of very useful information, and the author is honest about the fact that these dogs are not for everyone. Her advice on how to deal with barking was a revelation! Highly recommended.
New Pappy owner, want to know the skinny, get this book!.......2006-03-02
This book is awesome for the new Papillon owner. I'd recommend buying it BEFORE you get your dog. It's one of the more recent breed books, one that isn't outdated and old fashion.
It begins with the dog's history, and follows on to all that other important jazz, like selecting a breeder, the right puppy, care, and so on. It also goes into feeding and training your dog in simple obedience.
There were some things though that left me with questions. They didn't talk too much about the dog in different climates, they do say it's an adaptable dog, but I'm thinking super cold running around in the snow. I have seen pictures of the Pappillon playing in snow, but because of their long fur, they had clumps of snow stuck, which I can imagine uncomfortable. A good question to ask your breeder.
They also talk about an "ear leather". Being a first time dog owner I don't know what this is. Having other dog books, I realized they had diagrams of dogs describing certain body parts. This seemed to be lacking in this book, which might've helped in answering some glossary terms. If you're really new to dogs and you don't know what a dew claw is, that might come as a shocker! I didn't find out until my friend two summers ago received a new puppy who still had theirs. Again this is a good question to bring up to your breeder.
Overall, this book is great, I was reading it at dinner and every server who brought food oohed and awed- JUST AT THE BOOK. No doubt it will be a great resource, but your breeders will be even better. A good breeder will always answer any question even if it's the mundane!
Must have for a Great Guide.......2005-06-06
This book was recommened on a Papillion list im on and Im so glad it was.ITs a jewel.its loaded with up to date info..Im a pet person and found it perfect for my reading before getting my Pappy and now still refer back to it now that shes 6 months old this month.ITs a very well written book.Mrs.C

The Long Walk: The True Story of a Trek to Freedom

Book Description
Henri Charrière, called "Papillon," for the butterfly tattoo on his chest, was convicted in Paris in 1931 of a murder he did not commit. Sentenced to life imprisonment in the penal colony of French Guiana, he became obsessed with one goal: escape. After planning and executing a series of treacherous yet failed attempts over many years, he was eventually sent to the notorious prison, Devil's Island, a place from which no one had ever escaped . . . until Papillon. His flight to freedom remains one of the most incredible feats of human cunning, will, and endurance ever undertaken.
Charrière's astonishing autobiography, Papillon, was published in France to instant acclaim in 1968, more than twenty years after his final escape. Since then, it has become a treasured classic -- the gripping, shocking, ultimately uplifting odyssey of an innocent man who would not be defeated.
Customer Reviews:
Super fun read. True story? Yeah, right............2007-09-26
While I suspect certain elements of Papillon are true, e.g. the conditions in the "bagne" and general state of French penal code when it was written, you would have to be pretty gullible to believe the story itself to be true. The author suffers through a number of escape attempts that could each be the basis for a feature film, and finally successfully escapes in 1945 to Venezuela (not giving anything away, this information is on the jacket). But even so, it's a great adventure story.
(I don't think the following paragraph is a spoiler because its just a small element of the book I use to make my point, but you might not want to read it):
The believability meter for me finally broke when our hero (who is loved by all, including all the guards, wardens, convicts, etc), becomes adopted by Indians who typically hate all outsiders. Not only do they take Papillon in, but they offer him lovely virgins to bear his children and tearfully wave bye-bye when he leaves them!! Is this an autobiography or a Cussler book??.
If Papillon were marketed as a novel, I would have given it 5 stars because its a great read and really fun. The fact they market it as a true story loses a star in my book. If I went in hoping to get a true-life account of a prison escape, I think this book would have ticked me off and I would slammed it, but I didn't really care if its true or not, so I thought it was a ton of fun.
This riveting autobiography won't let you put it down.......2007-06-26
The thing that Henri Charriere desired most was his freedom. A French prisoner, he never stopped plotting ways to escape. The only time when he didn't have a plan in motion was when he was either in solitary, or upon personal request of the warden (they would request that he didn't escape so that they could finish their term, and not have their record/pension ruined by his escape).
This autobiography spares no details about the violence and horrors that surrounded the prisoners daily. He loses a number of his friends to disease, or murder. Papillon was generally respected by his fellow prisoners, and the administration. He was quick to criticize the administration to their face. Many of the wardens and doctors even agreed with how screwed up the French justice system was.
Henri is very detailed about his experiences and escapes. He remembers well the people who aided him before, during and after an escape. You will find yourself rooting for Henri with each escape attempt!
There has been some criticism that say that Henri took details from other prisoners' accounts or that some of the anecdotes are made up. Regardless, this autobiographical tale of escape is better than any work of prison escape fiction that can ever be written.
Quick read, exciting, but stretches credulity after awhile........2007-05-22
Papillon is the roughest, toughest, rootenist, tootenist, best lover, and most fair, prisoner ever. And these are his adventures trying to escape from prison.
At a certain point, the book had all the believability of a Penthouse forum letter.

Customer Reviews:
an intrepid journey of the hero through a series of hells.......2007-07-07
A petty thief wrongfully convicted of murder by a French court in 1931. The bulk of this narrative, and it is a tremendous one, is this man's incarcerations in penal colonies in French Guyana: the many escape scenarios and attempts; the final escape to the mainland; and 2 years living with the local Indians.
Charriere's writing style is spontaneous, lucid, and totally without pretense; real storytelling prowess. The storylines are inbued with perserverance, grit, and undercurrents of humor. He never surrenders to despair; his sense of intrepid survival and courage sustain him throughout the 13 years of his imprisonments. The will to live is the engine that drives these riveting episodes.
The question of the authenticity of this narrative, like the Castaneda books, arises; but ultimately, it doesn't matter if this story is true or not. This is an adventure story; and hyperbole is always involved in the narration of any adventure, regardless of degree. It is the power of the storyteller that mesmerizes the listener/reader in this, a hero's journey. In this case, it is a journey of liberation from a series of hells.
After reading this book, you will come away feeling enriched by this man's intrepid spirit. Highly recommended.

An Irresistible Adventure, An Escape from Devil's Island.......2007-06-11
Charriere's book was impossible to put down. Whether novel or real, his story as a prisoner is unforgettable. Highly recommended.
The Indomitable .......2007-01-21
One of the great adventure books of any time; certainly had had huge impact on my childhood as it was more mesmerizing and novel and gripping than any of the more conventional classics. There it was: a documentary that once again proved that the human spirit at its highest truly becomes indomitable and cannot be destroyed.
The writer erected the monument to the spirit that went unbroken even in the harshest brutality of the Guyana's tropical gulag.
VERY overdue for an updated translation.......2006-10-23
No, there's no need whatsoever for some poor sod to re-translate the whole book! It still reads beautifully. But, and this is a BIG but, the translation is, today, WAY TOO TAME. The quaint, oblique, charming English expletives he employs now badly interfere with the book's mood and thrillingly immediate, rough flavour. He translated this book way back in 1969; even the English aren't so delicate any longer. Please, isn't it time to honour Charriere's original manuscript, and dirty things up a bit??!
Was Charriere only a good story teller?.......2006-09-07
After reading the book, I almost fancy committing a crime with the hope of a prison sentence and the chance of escape! This is an excellent read! I have traveled in Guyana and around the southern Caribbean to some extent and the sea is very rough. He must have been some sailor!
Guyana is such an amazing and beautiful country, sadly remembered for the horrifying stories of "the bagne", its tropical deadly diseases, its giant ants and migales, its poisonous snakes, frogs and spiders, etc. During colonial times and later, the living conditions were indeed so difficult that diseases, i.e. dysentery and typhoid fever, would spread by the day or hour, mainly due to the lack of hygiene and the lack of access to medical facilities,. Malaria and yellow fever also caused more deaths among inmates than the internment horrendous conditions and other atrocities. The name and reputation of Guyana has not yet completely recovered since that time. The "bagne" was officially closed down in 1943. I can only wonder how one would ever think of an escape from it. Guyana is in the middle on nowhere. North and South is just the plain, thick, green, giant rainforest. What about Rivers, cricks? Then, probably only an expert Wayana could paddle a canoe and maneuvers through the strong stream of the Maroni or the Oyapock muddy rivers.
I visited what remains of the internment camps in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni, which gate stayed opened wide like a dead man's mouth, and the one in "Ile Saint-Joseph": a few compounds without doors or roofs still stand, black walls falling in decrepitude, zinc and iron bars rusted by the rain and the humidity... Surely, much of the tales of Charriere are pure fiction. Anybody (except of course the native Amerindians) will get lost and die just trying to find his or her way through the maze and thickness of the rainforest, and escaping through the sea doesn't looks such a better idea either. It is said that the sea, which is blue at the "Iles du Salut", is full of sharks who regularly swim about and around the islands to prey for sea turtles. Plus, there are at least 15 miles between the islands and the coast...
In fact, Charriere's publisher, Robert Laffont, revealed in an interview before he died that Charriere submitted the book to him as a novel. However, Laffont, who had a true-life series of books on the go, persuaded him to present it as a true story. He also said that Charriere combined the experiences of several convicts (and we can only speculate how much they exaggerated their exploits)into his book.
Indeed, it is highly likely that the book was ghost-written anyway. Yet, you should still read it.
Customer Reviews:
Other Books.......2007-09-03
Not as interesting as Papillon, but that is probably also partly because you know what to expect, and it is also not the same setting. Less smuggling gear up the date, that sort of thing. After the nastiness of a prison island, I suppose this is not that surprising that it does not girp you in the same way.
Banco - Disappointing after the success of "Papillon".......2004-10-24
Usually I'm not very critical about books, but I feel like I have to make an exception. I STRONGLY advise to just read "Papillon" and keep it with that. Papillon is such a strong, adventurous and exciting story that you just want it to continue after you've turned the last page.
The first thing I did after reading Papillon, was going to the bookstore to buy Banco, expecting interesting details about his further life and adventures. Most of all I wondered if he would return to Lali and Zoraïma.
I regret to say that I have never read such a disappointing "sequel" before. Although the life of Henri Charrière is probably more adventurous than most of ours, the story really never gained my attention. The power of "Papillon" was that the story was enormously strong and it had an obvious focus. In "Banco" there isn't a focus at all, it just consists of a bunch of hardly interesting anecdotes. There isn't really ANY decent link between the story from "Papillon" and the life of Charrière as portraied in Banco.
For those who are interested if Charrière returns to lali and Zoraïma, I'll only give the hint that there are probably two lines spent on them in Banco. Let's make it clear, I am a HUGE fan of "Papillon", but that is exactly the reason that I would'nt advise anybody to buy Banco, unless they have sleeping problems.
A Magical Finale.......2004-08-18
didn't papillon leave you wishing he stayed with the pearl diver's in paradise, instead of being tempted back to civilization by its siren song? Well it turns out there is a lot more to this tale than the first book would have you guess, but surely papillon has many adventures before him, and good ones too, if i may be the judge. it seems everyone knows about the first book, because of the movie, and no one ever seems to realize there is more. if you made it this far to read my review, you just got to give banco a read. how papillon comes to peace with himself and his world IS THE STORY! i would rate this book higher than five if i could!
The Evolution of a Man.......2003-07-01
Unlike some of the other reviewers who did not care much for "BANCO", I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Now, I confess not to have yet read "PAPILLON". So, my critique of "BANCO" is not reflective of what "PAPILLON" was about.
"BANCO" takes up from where "PAPILLON" left off. The author has escaped into Venezuela. He is deeply embittered and finds it difficult at first to readjust to life on the outside. He is set on revenge for he feels that he was framed for a crime he did not commit. As a way of working out his anger, the author becomes involved in an elaborate plan to stage a big robbery so that he can not only enrich himself, but also return to Europe and exact his revenge. While set on his plans for revenge, however, the author finds love and peace of mind.
"BANCO" stands as a fine example of what a person is capable of achieving in terms of self-improvement and spiritual renewal. When I finished reading this book, I felt very happy for the author, who had learned to cast aside the anger and rage he had bottled up inside himself during his imprisonment on Devil's Island, and find an inner peace for himself.
'Papillon part deux' disappoints.........2003-04-21
Everyone who reads 'Banco' does so because he/she was completely enthralled with 'Papillon' and are curious as to what happens to Monsieur Charriere. But this reader was foolish enough to think 'Banco' would be as good as 'Papillon'. Sadly, this sequel is a mere shadow of the original.
Why? Firstly, the book is poorly structured. The author bounces around quite a bit leaving discarding characters in its wake. He is also too selective on what he wants to say about his life. For example he does not tell us at all about his French wife even upon returning to France to meet with the rest of his family. And the final fifty pages are an over-blown flashback to his original trial where he claims emphatically that he was framed, perjured against, etc. After so many cries of "I'm innocent, really!!!" I'm beginning to wonder.
Still, overall I do recommend 'Banco' to those who have just finished 'Papillon'. Just don't expect so much and you won't be disappointed.

Papillon (Kennel Club Dog Breed Series).......2007-04-12
I have owned five senior "rescue Paps" in the past six years. Now I have a 15 month old puppy and a nine year old Pap who had been the alpha dog, but that was before we got our baby. This is like nothing I have experienced before or in many, many years...its like having a baby whose every action depends on me. To say she's a joy is to put it mildly, she's a nuisance, but I love it and having this book as my handy reference has been a life saver. I have had seniors in the past who just joined the household, but this tiny little Pap whose energy is almost overwhelming.. . and this book have helped when I wondered if I had done the right thing.
Some good, some very bad.......2004-06-28
This is quite a good book if you are completely new to the breed and plan to read other books as well... There are some factual mistakes (like when the author describes the Phalène-variation of the breed - completely wrong) but there are also some good general information. I wouldn't recommend it though. There are other books better to read (the Complete Papillon) for those interested in these wonderful toy dogs.

Too much fluff.......2007-05-12
I was looking for a book that would tell me the car and training, and although this book did have some, it was not to the extent I was looking for. I had read previous reviews saying what a great book this was for new Pap owners, but being a new Pap owner, it still gave way too much extranious information and even I knew some of it was incorrect just from talking to the few breeders I had talked to.
Review of Complete book of Papillon.......2007-01-29
basically the book covers the breed type, and covered all I wanted to know about the breed. The one thing is that there is too much of old breed lines which would not be of use to one outside the UK
A must for papillon lovers.......2002-03-20
Very detailed and lots of pics
Top Quality.......2001-04-20
This book has everything you need to know before you buy a Papillon. It helps you deicide whether you want a male or female or a papillon or phalene. It helps you learn how to keep your Papillon healthy and how to groom them. Now I feel I'm ready to own my Papillon,I know their diet (which is kind of unusual, another reason to get this book)and how to choose a healthy puppy.I recomend this book to people who are planning or already have a papillon,it will certainly make you happier knowing that your papillon is happy living with you.It is really worth it,it really is!....
I am buying a second copy........2001-02-20
There are really very few current books on Papillons. I originally bought a copy of this book for my mother in England. She has a papillon and has found the book very useful. I am now about to buy a copy for myself. The authors are well established breeders and judges of papillons in the UK. They cover everything from grooming and care of a papillon to the history of the breed and even papillon collectables. The illustrations are good. The survey of the chief Papillon bloodlines in the UK and USA is not comprehensive (but if it was the book would have been far less easy to read). There is a singular lack of the generic dog information that marrs many other breed handbooks. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in papillons. It would be a good book for someone who is thinking of buying/adopting a papillon to read before deciding if this is the right dog for him/her.

One of the greatest tales of tragic adventure ever lived.......2006-03-31
An amazing story of an innocent man's journey from the underworld of France to the underbelly of the penal colony of French Guiana in 1931. The movie, though excellent, pales in comparison to this incredible page turner that any author would be hard pressed to fabricate unless he lived it. Charierre (aka Papillon) sheds light on the beauty and brutality of humanity with touching insight and shrewd instinct. Depicting life and society on the inescapable islands in a straightforward fashion, Papillon paints a colorful, if not surreal, picture with humor and sheer agony. After nine escape attempts, the reader is left wondering how a man could have prevailed. Charierre's auto-biographical adventure is a testament to a good man's astounding mental capacity to survive the most hellish circumstances by his wit, ingenuity and imagination despite the odds of survival. A must read for the soul.

A must read for any dog lover!.......2007-06-10
This book had me on the floor laughing my butt off! I have a papillon and I can all too well relate! Telling the story from the dog's point of view of her humans and her life made for a hilarious read. Once you pick up this book you won't put it down until you reach the end. Definitely a book that you can read more than once!
Memoirs of a Papillon: The Canine Guide to Living with Humans without Going MaD.......2007-05-26
GREAT BOOK. I'm a papillon owner and a friend gave me a copy of "Genevieve's" book. I laughed till my sides ached. I read it in one
evening and then read it again. I've watched my papillons "zoom" around
the house and act just like Genevieve. I've purchased several copies to give to friends as gifts.
Funny AND full of information.......2007-05-12
I bought this book along with a book supposedly about the breed. However, this book had more information than the other book which I returned. Not only did it have information, but it was told in such a humorous way that many times I laughed outloud.
Genevieve is so funny!.......2006-06-13
This book was given to me by my sister. As a working mom to three papillons and foster mom for rescues, my reading time is limited. However, this book was so humorous that I just couldn't put it down. I could see my oldest pap agreeing with Genevieve many times while I read the book. I would pick out passages in the book and read them to my husband, and he would say "that is just like them".
Genevieve is a spunky little girl that doesn't take life for granted and sees humor in everything. Denny, her human translator, helps her put her thoughts into wording that anybody can understand.
This book is great.
Can't wait to read the sequel!.......2006-01-01
This is a great book for any dog lover, and for papillon owners in particular. I felt as though I was reading about my own dog. The author captures the quirky personality traits of the papillon perfectly - I laughed through every page. This would make a great gift for those who know and love papillons.
