Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

This book is fun to read, and my 2 year old daughter loves it! It is somewhat difficult to read, but that is partly what makes it so fun. This is so far my favorite book that we have bought for my little girl. Good story, and very funny.
She's done it again.......2007-03-28
I have all of the SkippyJon books and cannot wait for the next one. My oldest son and his wife and newest daddy and mommy in my family found the series while shopping for something to read to their baby waiting to be born. She is 3 months old now and reacts to all of the SkippyJon books with glee...the rest of my grandchildren, spanning 3 to 12, love the series and are anxiously awaiting another.

Absolutely the best book ever! My son loves the CD and hasn't taken it out of the car for the last 2 weeks. Had to pass this one on to other Kg. teachers so they could share the fun imagination and rhyming to their students. Now have the perfect gifts for my nephews!

Excellent for the big cat enthusist........2006-06-28
This book is a excellent reference for the person who wishes to learn about the "Big" Cats and the "Great" Cats. It goes into detail on all species including sub-species, range, habitat, behavior, the status on threatend species and the tragedy of now extinct species. Superb photography and graphs make this book the perfect addition for your library. The references section of this book also points out other publications which would be benificial to the reader
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Big Cats all the way! HEY!.......2005-07-27
This is among the best books I've ever read. It has my top 8 most favorite animals, the eight big cats, in it, the information is etched in terrific print and detail, you can learn tons from it, and the photos are absolutely glamourous. There are few, if any, large cats I have seen photographed that are more beautiful than the ones in this book. Any cat lover should buy it. By the way, here are the eight big cats, in the order I like them(I love them all, but this is just how MUCH) Okay then, my lineup! Here goes:
1. Lions and Lionesses
2. Tigers and Tigresses
3. Jaguars and Jaguaresses
4. Leopards and Leopardesses
5. Cougars and Cougresses
6. Snow Leopards and Snow Leopardesses
7. Cheetahs and Cheetahesses
8. Clouded Leopards and Clouded Leopardesses.
Sensing a trend here? If you are, good. You want to learn and love the beautiful and majestic animals that are the big cats? Buy this book. It's as good as they get. At least in some ways.
BIG CATS.......2000-03-04

Koko Does it Again.......2007-06-10
If you are a Koko and Yum Yum fan, this book is for you. Lillian Jackson Braun writes these stories in a way that pulls you into the story. You are with Qwill and Koko every step of the way. The twists are well done. A story worth reading over and over...
The Cat Who Brought Down the House.......2006-11-04
I purchased this as a gift for my aunt, who has been collecting this whole set of books. Although I have not personally read them, she is an avid and loyal fan, along with many of her friends. They all seem to have a "close relationship" with this author; and, reading her books makes them feel "at home again". All of her books are "connected", and my aunt feels they should be read in succession without missing any one of them. Once she starts reading one, she JUST CAN'T PUT IT DOWN!
Love it.......2006-09-30
Even though I'm only 11, people, CHILL. I am curently feasting on it, but I love it. This is practically the only good cat fiction out there. All you cat lovers, BUY IT NOW. And one last thing: MEOW!!!
Not one of her better ones..........2006-05-09
I've been a fan of this series for years, but this one was really disappointing. One almost gets the impression that Braun herself has lost interest in the series...(IF she even writes the books anymore!?) Of course, the books have always been slow, but they did have a certain charm to them, making them the perfect bedtime material...but, boy, did I sleep well, when I was reading THIS one...
Braun's back to writing well........2006-04-15
I really enjoyed THE CAT WHO BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE, and I consider it one of her best, especially one of the best of her recent ones. Most of the book is a pleasant visit with the inhabitants of Moose County. The mystery is really only a side note, but it's still fun. The early books in this series were SO good, and later the plots seemed to be phoned in, but she's back in form here.

Book Description
Animal House Style is the first decorating book to offer practical advice from pet owners on how to select high-performance furnishings for maximum human, canine, feline, and other animal comfort. It also features how to keep your pet-friendly interiors looking their best and other vital information rarely found in design magazines or books.
Customer Reviews:
Great ideas .......2007-08-27
This book was conceived by someone who wants a well-designed home but has the extra challenge of animals that skid around on area rugs and eat leather couches. This woman has a lot of experience. Not just anyone can tell you that carpet tiles won't work with dogs because they peel up around the edges and that Ultrasuede is dense enough to prevent those spiny little short-haired dog furs from penetrating. This is expert advice, which is hard to come by in the world of interior design with animals, and it is detailed enough to be very useful. It took me years of living with multiple dogs and hundreds of dollars worth of furniture and flooring and other house stuff to learn about 2/3 of what is in this book. I wish I had found this years ago! The pictures are cute, but the advice is what makes this book great, and it is a unique resource for those of us who love our animals but also want to have great design.
Additionally, the book is brave enough to also consider bird owners, which is fantastic.
Vogue Interiors for Pets..Dissapointing.......2007-08-17
So I have a house full of animals, that for the most part get along, but I'm always on the look out on how I can do things different and how I might be able to change things in the house to accommodate this lifestyle. When I found this book on Amazon, it was a no-brainer that I needed it.
I was wrong. I really didn't need this book. Not at all. If you are looking for cheap snapshots of celebs and psudo-celebs posing with their animals snuggled down in their Gucci designed dog-bed, then perhaps you should take a look at this. If you are thinking of things to do with your home to make your animals and you more comfortable; it's not in this book. Not at all.
If you must own this book, try buying a used copy, otherwise you might find yourself smacking your head into this book shortly after a quick flip.
Best Book I Ever Read about Living with Pets.......2007-03-23
This book is a real treat with color pictures throughout of dogs, cats, snakes, etc. at home. There are wonderful scenes of a dog owner in the bath with his dalmation, a dog in the latest Gucci dogbed and so on. Animals can be clean if their environment is clean and beautiful. It is wonderful to see these pets enjoying their homes with their humans. The book is also a useful guide to decorating your place to be pet friendly.
Finally! A gorgeous design book with pets! Beautiful and informative........2006-12-06
Decor books are my porn. I have them all. Finally, here is a beautiful coffee table book with really stylish looking places that make me drool that actually has drooling dogs in it! I'm mad for animals AND design and so I love this book!
It's always a challenge to devise ways to make your animal mess look good or to blend one's desire for a beautiful, hip and stylish home with one's pack of (as in my case) furry rescued misfits. This book gave me tons of ideas and I think the author should do an international animal house style. I can see Provence animal house style...Italian animal house style, Bali, Safari, Mexico, you name it!
Great Ideas!.......2006-01-11
I question whether some of the reviewers actually read the book or just looked at the pictures. And others seemed more interested in questioning the background of the author (which if they had read the book would have known that she writes the pets column in the NY post).
Regardless of whether you would incorporate some of the designs into your own home or whether you feel they are out of your price range, there were plenty of good ideas and tips. The ones that I found most useful:
1. Discussion of fabrics for sofas that are easy to clean (because I, like the author, welcome my pets on my sofa)
2. Discussion of the different makers of scented sprays (specifically the tomato based spray) to help mask that pet odor that I've become oblivious to in my own home.
3. Hello, washable pillow covers. Cool ones are hard to come by so I was really excited to see the listings.

Book Description
On Halloween day, Hank comes to school dressed as a table in an Italian restaurant. Nick McKelty, the resident school bully (dressed in a total blood-and-guts costume), thinks Hank's costume is wimpy and that Hank wouldn't know how to be scary and gross if his life depended on it! So Hank decides to create the scariest haunted house ever, and plans to invite McKelty over and show him what scary really is. The only problem is that Hank's dog, Cheerio, is scared of Hank's haunted house. So scared, in fact, that when Hank tries to find him, he's nowhere in sight! Have Hank's Halloween hijinks gone too far?

Hank Zipzer is GREAT!!!.......2007-01-04
The entire series of Hank Zipzer books is GREAT!!! My son can't get enough of them. They are a wonderful read, especially for any child who suffers from a learning challenge. They are easy to relate to and help to build self-esteem for children who have learning challenges and help others to understand how the world works for them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very important book for cats, inspiring to people.......2007-04-28
This book helps us to focus on what would be possible. We are now honing our woodworking skills to put up many shelves and ramps. Those without woodworking skills or aptitude might want to get a handyman.
But there are many relatively simple ways to increase your cats' territory and excitement. They love to be up high. All cat owners know that. There are companies you can find online, google cat shelves, that will build them for you and send with installation instructions. We have more time than money, plus enjoy doing these projects.
AS others have written, there are ideas here that I never could have imagined.
Plus it's a beautifully photographed book.

I have ordered this book twice, so far, for 2 other mega-Cat Lovers I have met:
One lady rescued a mom-cat and her 5 kittens; and, instead of splitting up the brood, has kept all 5 kittens as her new family. Another lady shared stories with me, of her 4 cats at home, who are part and parcel of her life. How nice a way, to pay tribute to the Cat Lovers in YOUR life, with a copy of this endlessly entertaining, endearing book.

PURE EYE CANDY FOR CAT LOVERS.......2007-01-20
Photographer Bob Walker and his wife, writer Frances Mooney, love cats. So much so that they've turned their San Diego, California home into the cat-friendliest place on the planet! The reader is invited along on a personal tour of this customized feline Paradise, room by room -- and what a colorful, wonderful tour it is! Climb the spiral cat staircase or scratch the floor-to-ceiling pink sisal scratching post; run along the catwalks that connect room to room via special cat doors high in the walls; experience the golden Pyramid of the Sun, feline style! These and much, much more can be found within the multicolored pages of THE CATS' HOUSE -- but be forewarned: once you've visited, you'll want to return again and again! A GREAT gift and a wonderful coffee-table conversation piece, THE CATS' HOUSE is a must for every cat lover.

Cat and Mouse in the Haunted House.......2007-05-20
I am in[..]and I read the Geronimo Stilton book called Cat and Mouse in the Haunted House for my final book report of the year. It was the best book ever! My favorite part about reading this Geronimo Stilton book was that it was very mysterious and had mummies, witches, and ghosts! That made the book even more exciting! I was holding my breath, waiting to see how the book would end. When I was reading, I could hardly wait to turn the page! I just couldn't read quick enough! Geronimo is a fun character, and I love reading about his adventures! Once I finished the book I was sad that it was over. I am so glad that there are many other books in the series! I definitely recommend this book and the rest of the Geronimo Stilton series to anyone reading this review. If you love great mysteries, I'm sure you will enjoy this book as much as I did! I hope my review was helpful and that you have a great time reading this book and other adventures about Geronimo!
He's Too Fond of His Fur!!.......2007-04-05
Geronimo Stilton:
Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House
He's too fond of his fur! Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House is a spectacular book for anyone who loves fiction. The famous Geronimo Stilton, a mouse by the way, is also known for many other books such as the following: Curse of the Cheese Pyramid, Merry Christmas Geronimo and many others. On this adventure, Geronimo is off to see his great Aunt Sugarfur. On his way home, a storm blows in a Geronimo is stuck in the woods; which were deserted; or so he thought. That's when he discovers Cannycat Castle. Geronimo is a `fraidy mouse, but it's wet and cold outside and Geronimo is not liking the weather, so he decides to try out the castle. He finds the castle is haunted with past residents, including one with only one paw! He calls up his sister Thea, his cousin Trap, and his nephew Benjamin. Together they fight off ghouls, goblins and other creepy things to stay alive. If you like Harry Potter, you'll love this! This book is funny, scary, and action packed all rolled into one. It's number three in his fur-raising adventures, and another one you just don't want to miss.
Cat and Mouse in the Haunted House.......2006-03-14
Boo! Hi,I'm the ghost of Casey Gray.I just read a book called Geronimo Stiltion, Cat and Mouse in the Haunted House. It's a furr-azing book. If you like this book, there are over 20 others!!! I give it two thumbs up.In the back of the book, there is a map of were Geronimo works, what city he lives in, and what island he lives on. Oh No!!! The books are runing away!!! Come on, they're fast.
The mouse is just so loveable!!!.......2005-07-29
It's smart, it's humourous and it's clumpsy most of the time!
Kids of all age will love Geronimo. We have a quicker full set in Hong Kong printed in Chinese and I figure it's a great way to put the 2 language versions side by side to get kids interested in a 2nd / 3rd / 4th language! (Much easier than to get them sit down in front of TV in a foreign tongue.)
Don't I wish that I know Italian as well to apprecitate the original version.
A Scary Adventure for Geronimo!.......2004-05-24
This book is awesome! Geronimo gets lost in the forest and has to spend the night in a haunted house! Geronimo gets really excited when he finds a library full of books, but he gets scared away by a ghost. The scariest part was when the ghost of Duke Slicepaw came out!
I like the way the book is printed with the words being different colors and styles. It has lots of pictures and maps too. It makes it easier for me to read it. I am going to read all fifty titles as they are translated from Italian to English!

Book Description
“A god, a companion to sorceresses at the Witches’ Sabbath, a beast who is royal in Siam, who in Japan is called ‘the tiger that eats from the hand,’ the adored of Mohammed, Laura’s rival with Petrarch, the friend of Richelieu, the favorite of poets”—such are just a few of the feline distinctions that Carl Van Vechten records in this glorious historical overview of humanity’s long love affair with the cat. As delightful as it is learned, Tiger in the House explores science, art, and history to assemble a treasury of cat lore, while Van Vechten’s sumptuous baroque prose
makes the book’s every page an inexhaustible pleasure.

Rather pedantic.......2007-05-13
This may be the ultimate cat book for some but I didn't appreciate the overload of Frenchisms, and the dwelling on mistreatment of cats all through their history. It was an informative piece of work but I found it fairly rough going.
If you like cats...........2000-06-20
If you like cats, this book is for you. It discusses cats in every area of our lives! Cats in folklore, cats in theatre, cats and the law- the list goes on! I enjoyed this book!
