As you've probably heard before, an unexamined life... may be pretty darn boring. You can remedy that with All About Me, a journal filled with checklists and fill-in-the-blank questions divided into 25 categories, including sexuality, ego, wishes & dreams, opinions, emotions, memories, and choices. What authors have affected you? Do you believe in God? What film can you watch over and over? Ever had sex on an airplane? Do you want to be buried or cremated?
All About Me can serve as a fine tool for improving your self-knowledge; it's also been used by couples who want to get to know each other better, and would make great fodder for getting a party going (especially the question, "Does a photo of you naked exist?"). If you're interested in self-actualization or improving your relationships, you'll find the book fascinating, while anyone just looking for a fun way to spend a rainy day or make a long trip go by faster will be rewarded, too.
Book Description
Is there someone special you'd like to open up to? Do you want to know yourself better? Self-discovery and self-revelation aren't easy. With simple but provocative questions,
All About Me is a great tool for self-reflection that spotlights everything your loved ones would be interested to know about you but never thought--or dared--to ask. Such as: Name a friend you should not have kissed. Describe a moment when you achieved absolute happiness. Recall a compliment that made you blush. Write about your most beautiful and your most horrifying memory of your parents. Does a naked photo of you exist?
The wide-ranging questions--from short yes/no's to open-ended ones that probe your psyche--are personal, direct, and addictively fun to answer. The basic specs, including blood type and annual salary, are also covered.
If you've ever wished that you or your loved ones had been born with an operating manual, your wish has been granted. Filled in or left blank,
All About Me is a perfect gift for everyone you care about--friends, relatives, mentors, and lovers. Published just in time for Valentine's Day, but also ideal for Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduations, birthdays, showers, and weddings, this unique book gives the best present of all: the gift of you.

Makes a great gift!.......2007-05-14
I love this book! This book has questions that I would have never thought of. When answering the questions,it made me learn more about myself. My boyfriend and I completed one book each and then gave it to eachother. I learned alot about him and myself.
...And I thought I knew myself.......2007-03-17
I am a highly introverted person and think constantly about who I am, the world and the meaning of life. I bought this book thinking it would be a cute little book to look back on in twenty years. While some of the questions were very obvious to me, just as many had me thinking hard about my thoughts and feelings. I was surprised because I thought it would be a piece of cake. I got stuck many times and had to put it down and come back to it later. Some of the questions really got me on topics that never crossed my mind. WARNING, only buy this book if you are willing to be honest with yourself and accept your warts! It is a great little book for self-discovery.
Cute Book!.......2006-06-13
Cute book, I enjoyed this with my gf (now she is my wife).
We had a good time doing this, its not extremely deep but I guarantee you WILL learn something new about yourself!
Good questions, but otherwise boring.......2006-05-11
The book posed some interesting questions, but was pretty boring on the inside. No room for pictures or drawings...no colors. It simply asked questions and gave lines to write on.
Wonderful way to express yourself to others.......2006-03-25
I gave this to my boyfriend for valentine's day. He loved it! I filled out all the questions with the answers that I would put in there. He learned alot!

Grown Up Birthday Gift.......2007-07-13
My friend and I have known each other since grade school. For as long as I can remember we have read the greatest children's books and collected them as well. I get teased at work, but I do not care. The workbook builds self esteem for young girls and is a fun activity you can do with your best friend, even 20 years later, 1000 miles apart. As fun as Mad Libs, as creative as Dahl and as quirky as Sachar....Children's books such as this brings you back to that special place that you thought you could never find again. So adults, go for it! No one needs to know....I know I won't tell ;O)
Klutz has done it again.......2007-06-12
As a parent, I am so pleased with Klutz's product line. I've probably purchased 5 or 6 Klutz items over the years and my kids (2 sons & 1 daughter) have really loved each one of them.
This "It's All About Me" title was no different. It's interesting, engaging, and smart. It peaked my daughters interest and has a lot of replay value (she uses the quizzes on her friends as well). The author has made the quizzes and activities relevent to a school-age girls without being Too Darn Girly. Both my older and younger son found it interesting and fun. (My older son, although slightly embarrassed, thought the book was interesting....because it really was.)
Good job Klutz.
WHAT A BLAST!!!.......2006-08-04
This book is extremely awesome!!!! I gave it to my friend for her birthday and now I'm ordering one for me!!! My friend and I had such a great time doing quizes at her house!!! I'm SOOOOOO GLAD I ordered this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's All About Me: Personality Quizzes for You & Your Friends.......2006-07-05
This cute, thoughtfully-written quiz book is not only fun for pre-teen girls, but also a good tool for parents, their children & friends to get to know each other. I actually took it to my ailing 94-yr old mother's bedside, and we took some of the quizes together and learned alot about each other!
woderful fun and crazy.......2006-03-28
I absoulutely recomend this to girsls 10+. I have it and it made me laugh soooo hard. this book is a quiz book. not a diary.it has quizzes like what kind of cookie are you, how psychic are you, are you a dork, what kind of artist bare you, etc. I took this to school and EVERY one of my friends LOVED it! You'll miss out if you don't buy it.
Book Description
Ever since his astonishing victory in the 1991 PGA Championship, John Daly, known affectionately on the PGA Tour as "Big 'Un," has enthralled fans with his big drives, bigger personality, and "Grip It and Rip It" approach to golf -- and to life.
Long John, usually seen with a Marlboro Light dangling from his lip, is the unchained, unpredictable, unapologetic bad boy of professional golf. "The only rules I follow," JD likes to say, "are the Rules of Golf."
Daly's play-it-as-it-lays approach drives My Life in and out of the Rough, a thrillingly -- and sometimes shockingly -- candid memoir of a larger-than-life athlete battling assorted addictions (alcohol, gambling, chocolate, sex), his weight, and, perhaps worst of all, divorce lawyers. (He's been married four times.)
A two-time major winner before he turned thirty, John Daly is one of the most popular athletes in the world. Taking readers with him off the fairway and into his $1.5-million motor home for a rollicking ride through his life -- an ever-churning world of booze, burgers, casinos, country music, and breathtaking moonshots -- Daly reveals how a down-home Everyman from Arkansas managed to rise to the peak of the golf world, escape from the depths of abject depression, and, finally, take control of his life.
Well, sort of.
Customer Reviews:
This book carries the same excitement as watching John tee it up on Sunday.......2007-08-07
First off I must tell you that I am a fan of John Daly and his incredible natural talents. This book uncovered every detail of John's life from a kid, through two major wins, and onto where he is today. I enjoyed every page and was glad to see John tell it like it is. This book is an easy read, partly because it carries a 4th grade reading level. However, the book does a good job of revealing all the truths. Yes, most readers may have different views on John's alcoholic dependance, but one thing is for sure John didn't hide the details. If you are a fan of John or find yourself amused by watching his up and down golf game, then this book is for you!
Good Read.......2007-07-01
John Daly has interested me for a long time. I suppose the
whole under-dog thing, going up against the odds, etc. But
I really enjoyed reading this book. Thought it was an easy read
and well written since it was refreshingly naked in terms of
a person just showing all there is to show. I would recommend
it especially since it is so opposite of the whole stuffy
professional golf player fraternity.
Gutsy self-deprecation.......2007-06-03
I have to say that after reading some of the reviews, I'm almost ashamed to write my own. But unlike some of the reviews, I'll spare you any moral soapboxing on my part and not judge the man. Quite simply, the book sheds considerable light on the life (both the good and the bad) of a guy who happens to be a well-known professional golfer. Kudos to John for having the courage to share much of his private life with the public. John's not a saint and doesn't pretend to be (and pretty much says so in the book). He candidly admits to a plethora of self destructive indulgences and decisions yet balances such with discussion about many of his commendable deeds. His honesty is refreshing. He talks about sex, love, alcohol, anger, guilt, determination, etc. He's human for God's sake!
I gave it four stars because it's an easy read and is written in a style suitable for the content. And if you're interested in learning about the life of John Daly, the content serves its purpose quite well. It's both entertaining and informative. It's not meant to win a literary prize. I enjoyed it for what it is - a good book.
Addictive Behaviour?.......2007-03-23
Entertaining easy to read book but not very likely to fetch a Nobel Prize.
Interesting why Daly would want to make reference to several incidents of drunken driving and sad that he doesn't seem to feel particularly responsible for many of his own actions as an adult.
In my opinion the book reflects a considerable amount of raw untreated addictive behaviour and it kept me sober for a few days, thanks John.
Probably more than I wanted to know.......2007-02-08
Daly doesn't hold a lot back when he authorizes his tell-alls. He also is not concerned too much about public perception. He is definitely one of the more colorful characters in professional golf. The book is a no holds barred account of many of his life experiences, good and bad. I am an avid golfer, and a fan of Daly's, and enjoyed reading the book.

All about trees.......2004-07-20
Solid intro to basic concepts regarding trees. I occasionally wished Gibbons would have chosen the more scientifically correct term than a common, but less specific word. Includes an identification guide for various trees and shows young naturalists how to make their own tree identification book (pressing leaves, leaf and bark rubbings, and drawings). Karen Woodworth Roman, Children's Science Book Review
A simple yet appealing book about the life cycle of trees.......2002-06-08
Written and illustrated by Gail Gibbons, Tell Me, Tree: All About Trees For Kids is a simple yet appealing book about the life cycle of trees for beginning readers. The informative text is enhanced throughout with color illustrations teaching young people about the parts of the tree and how it grows, as well as how to identify some of the more common trees of North America. Tell Me, Tree is a very highly recommended and educational book of fun facts for grades 1 through 3.

Strong is the urge to write one's life story as a keepsake for oneself and one's family. The difficulty is knowing where to start, and then where to go from there. Carl and David Marshall, a grandfather-grandson team, have created a fine and fun do-it-yourself autobiography. The cover of the journal-sized Book of Myself is intended to resemble handmade paper; the inside pages have the yellowed hue of a keepsake found in a musty attic trunk. The book is not especially pretty. But the questions--one per page, divided into early, middle, and late years, and then again into sections concerning family, friends, education, work and responsibilities, and the world--are good enough that it hardly matters. Among the 201 jumping-off points included here are questions concerning childhood toys, crushes, and forbidden exploits; adult embarrassments, betrayals, and achievements; and how one's views change over the years. --Jane Steinberg

Bought one for Mom and Daughter.......2007-09-06
After purchasing this book for myself, I bought one for my Mother and Daughter. What a great journal of your life and thoughts!
If you have the time.......2007-07-23
My husband and I bought these to fill out together, but it's not really like that. They are in depth answers that require thought. Perfect for self reflection if you have a lot of time to write. Good thought provoking questions.
get to know yourself with this.......2007-03-19
Great tool to get to know yourself and for others to get to know you
Great gift for parents.......2006-12-07
I gave this book to my father many years ago, and had completely forgotten about it. He recently passed away and, when going through his things, I found the book. He had completed it. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to have his words and thoughts in writing, many of those words and thoughts quite new to me! My brothers and I will treasure this book forever...once a gift to him, now a gift to us.
This book is a hit with my mother and relatives!.......2006-04-16
For my mother's 60th birthday, she told me she'd like to reflect on her life thus far. I'd seen books of this nature, in which the reader can fill out question to create an easy autobiography. After using reading lots of different reviews on these types of books, The Book of Myself stood out with the best ratings. I bought the book from another bookstore, and from just skimming through the book I loved its questions. Finally, I presented it to my mother at her birthday dinner. She beamed with excitement when I explained the nature of the book, and she repeatedly said it's just what she wanted. After the dinner, she immediately called her sisters and told them about the book. They said they would like one for a christmas present, and eventually have all their siblings fill out the book. In light of other deaths in the family, my elders were seeking ways to preserve their memories. They're looking forward to discussing the questions as a group, and recalling all the chapters of their lives. Also, my mom told her co-worker about the book, who in turn wanted one for herself! "You see," my mother said, "this book you gave me is really taking off."
I love seeing my mother's enthusiasm for the book, and she informs me of her progress in filling it out. She decided to type her answers to the questions, and she's saving her answers on a keepsake CD. My father and aunts will be doing the same, and we anticipate having a memory box full of these books and autobiography CDs! Overall, I'm so blessed to have stumbled upon this book, it seems like it's becoming an integral part of preserving family memories.

So funny I dropped it in the tub!!.......2006-08-13
I picked this book up after seeing Anita at the Women of Faith conference this year...my girlfriend grabbed it to read first, told me it was a must read! Well, she was right - laugh out loud funny and a lot of fun to share with others. I read some excerpts at a ladies tea at church today - I had 3 women come up to me afterwards and request my copy!! I am on Amazon buying them their own right now! Anita really knows how to remind us that God wants us to find joy in everything - even the tough days of our lives. I hope you buy one for yourself and a friend that needs a good, clean laugh.
Full of "Purse-onality".......2006-08-01
This is certainly not a "read before bed" book. You'll be laughing so hard, you'll want to call your mother, sister or best friend to share the humorous, laugh-til-you-cry truths throughout the book. You read your own womanly frustrations interpreted from Anita's honest, humorous, and insightful point of view. Women from 20-80 will enjoy Anita's clean comedy. The best part is sharing the laughter with other women in your life(men won't get it). My copy has been passed around the country to mom, grandma, aunts, sisters, in-laws, friends, and friends of friends alike. You'll be sorry when you finish reading, but...good news, she has more outrageous, fabulous books available!
Hilarious Commentary from a Christian Comedian.......2006-07-29
I laughed so hard at the Purse Driven Life because Anita Renfro tells it like it is for women. She reminds us that it is OK to laugh at the uniqueness of our situation and yet we have so much in common with other Christian women. Her account of the mammogram is hilarious. So many times you will find yourself thinking that sounds just like me. She is a Christian comedian and that is not a term you hear too often. You will want extra copies to share with your friends! I definitely recommend this book.
The perfect remedy.........2006-07-28
God has truly blessed Anita Renfroe with the gift to make you laugh so hard you'll almost pee your pants, and then make you see the vital importance of Christ being the center of our lives. If you love to laugh, and love to see the humor in everything, you will absolutely love the Purse-driven Life! Anita keeps it real by sharing her real life experiences as a wife and mother in this crazy world! If you are sad, or depressed..buy this book! It's the perfect remedy! (Buy it even if you're not sad!!) You won't be disappointed..and if you can, catch Anita in concert..you'll have a blast!!
Fan of the Funnies.......2006-07-27
Ok. So if you did not like the book, why are you complaining? Sell it on ebay & move on...but if you did like I did then you have great taste. This is my first brush with Ms. Renfroe & I cannot wait to read the new one. This is one of those things that I will buy more of to give to the women in my life.

Perfect For Discovering Yourself.......2005-02-23
I love this book!! I took it everywhere I went. I only let my very close friends read it. The questions are great! I have read atleast five other books like this but this one is the best. The only thing I did not like was there was not a lot of favorites. I'm a teenager and this book didn't make me feel like I was immature or too mature for my age.

Great first journal.......2007-08-13
I purchased this book for my stepdaughter's 10th birthday. She is a great kid but has a few struggles with emotions and worrying related to her parents divorce. My stepdaughter is very creative so I purchased this in hopes it could be a tool to work out her feelings but also encourage her writing skills.
Great way to encourage writing.......2007-02-01
I have purchased several of these and others in the series for my children and as gifts. The artwork is interesting, the suggested topics are relevant to the age group, and it makes it more interesting than just listing what you did today. It is not dated like a daily journal, so you can use it when and how you want. I have also found that kids like these journals better than a blank book, which can be overwhelming. I wish I had this when I was a kid.
worth every penny.......2006-11-30
My daughter carries this with her everywhere and cherishes it. It makes her feel very special and I like how its laid out. Worth every penny I paid for it. I'm going to be getting a few more next year when my next oldest daughter turns 6 and for some for bday party gifts.
Got my son writing!.......2006-02-26
We're homeschoolers and my son would sooner pull his own teeth out than write. I bought him this book along with Dr. Seuss' My Book About Me. He carried them everywhere he went for weeks after the books came, writing in them in the car, in bed, at the table, at the store, etc. He was so proud of his entries he shared them with the rest of the family. It seems to have warmed him up to writing in general. I'm thrilled.
Good if You're Totally Stuck, But is That What a Journal's About?.......2005-12-06
If you truly don't know what to write about, turn to this. But other than that, I don't see why anyone would want it. To me, a journal is a place to write down your thoughts, feelings, memories, and just things you feel like writing. If you can only write about what the page you're on says to write about, what's the point? As a very wise person once told me, the only reason you should write is if there's something in your heart you need to express.

Book Description
Why would a thirtysomething, big-boned beauty like Chere Adams plunge headfirst into an extreme mind-and-body makeover? To get a man, of course! The bubbly diva-in-the-making has got her eye on Flamingo Place's newest hunk and fitness fanatic, Quentin Abrahams.
But after weeks of early-morning aerobics, celery sticks, elocution lessons and self-help courses, Chere is beginning to think that all her best efforts are being wasted. The more she tries to be Quentin's dream girl, the less he seems to notice her.
Could it be that Quentin is more interested in the old Chere--the sexy sister with the outrageously flirty style, dangerous curves and bubbly personality?

What a waste of trees!.......2007-09-02
I have read several of Ms. Gamble's books and have enjoyed them. However, this book started out slow and I was bored! I was hoping in the end that it would get better. Unfortunately, it did not. Chere and Quen were lifeless characters! I am glad I borrowed this from the library instead of paying my hard owned cash for this. If you want to feel UNINSPIRED read this book!!
Struggling to finish..........2007-06-21
This is one of the weakest romance novels I've ever read. Ms. King-Gamble really needs to take notes from such great authors like Rochelle Alers, Brenda Jackson and Berverly Jenkins because her writing style of character development and storyline were not up to par. I am dissapointed because this story had so much potential. I will finish the last few chapters, but it's going to be hard.
An average romance about less than fully developed characters..........2007-05-22
"All About Me" by Marcia King-Gamble is a fairly interesting tale about a woman, Chere Adams, who is on a mission to change her physical appearance in hopes that it will help her gain the attention of the man that she has had her sights fixed on for some time. Chere seriously wants Quentin "Quen" Abrahams who also happens to be the physical trainer overseeing her body "makeover". Chere has been attracted to Quen for some time, but has finally decided to get her body in the shape that she thinks will attract his attention and affection. Chere also wants improvements in her work situation and is making strategic moves to get the recognition and promotion she deserves while also initiating new ventures and attempting a "homegirl" makeover through diction/speaking classes.
Chere's biological clock is ticking and she wants the life she always dreamed of and is moving full stem ahead to make her dreams a reality. Unfortunately, Quen seems to be taking less notice as she drops the pounds instead of more and as his ex tries to move back into his heart. Chere is determined to figure out what's keeping him from seeing her as the woman he needs. While a reasonably interesting story line lies behind this novel, somehow the character development and dialogue never fully pulled this reviewer deep into the novel. Chere was first introduced in King-Gamble's "Flamingo Place". For those who may have read that book and may be interested in what came of Chere and the other characters from "Flamingo Place", this may be a reasonably good beach read. However, I didn't read that book and just wasn't fully taken in by the characters in this tale.

Hydro Book.......2007-01-09
My little girl had a shunt put in when she was 1 1/2 and I bought this book for my son who was 7 at the time to help him understand what was happening. Actually a lot of adults have read through this to get a quick understanding of the situation as well. I highly, highly recommend this book.
Good for bibliotherapy.......2007-01-09
An excellent book to introduce hydrocephalus to a child with the condition or to other children to make them understand. Written very simply, text and illustrations paint a very realistic picture of what a child with hydrocephalus goes through. My niece read it and I find it is the best and simplest way to explain the medical condition.
Great book for kids with hydrocephalus (and their siblings)!.......2005-03-18
I am an adult, born with hydrocephalus, and I would have loved to have had a book like this when I was a kid. It's written in easy-to-understand language for young children, and I'm especially excited about that, because I think they'll truly feel reassured that they aren't alone, as I thought I was for 23 years.
Some years ago, there was a book about a beagle, Barney, who had "hydro." The book was written for kids ages 3-6 or so, and it was, unfortunately, discontinued. I see this book as a great successor. If you are a parent of a young child with hydrocephalus, or even if you're a parent who has it and has young children who have, or will soon have, questions about it, this is a great place to start. Please pick it up. You'll be glad you did.
