Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.
Book Description
Asking parishioners for money is very different from creating congregations of generous people. In this provocative book, stewardship consultant Michael Durall argues convincingly that annual pledge drives inadvertently perpetuate low-level and same-level giving in congregations. Written with the voice of experience, this book will help clergy and lay leaders initiate and sustain effective stewardship programs. Durall believes that asking for money eventually becomes routine, even tedious-but creating a congregation of generous people becomes ever more meaningful with passing time.
Customer Reviews:
This book changes people's lives.......2005-12-05
I have been deeply involved with church fundraising for about 10 years and have read all sorts of books on this topic during that time. There is nothing I have read that fills the niche Durall's book does. It is simultaneously practical and philosophical, and it permanently changed my personal relationship to money and to the spiritual practice of generosity. For anyone interested in fundraising for religious purposes, I believe it is so important to read that I now buy multiple copies and give them away to people. This is truly an inspiring, one-of-a-kind book.
Creating Congregations of Generous People.......2000-05-17
I ordered a copy of Michael Durell's book for a quick peruse to see if there were ideas I could inject into our congregation's upcoming canvass. After a first read, I ordered four more copies the next day, and handed them around to the Canvass Committee members. Michael lays out a renewed vision of generosity with which to appraoch the perennial problem of raising the church budget fromthe faithful. His observation that this process is no less about growing souls than any other area part of church life, and that the object is to cultivate a generous spirit, sat well with my congregation this year. We used his book in our planning and our process. The result? The book was a part of a positive canvass, pledges are up and people are feeling good about their generous participation in the life of the congregation.
ITS THE PEOPLE AS MUCH AS THE MONEY.......2000-05-03
Mike Durall's slim but succulent guide to increasing and stimulating congregational giving is a welcome tonic when fundraising bibles seem to focus more on technique and need than motivation and virtue. Durall encourages us to aim to create congregations of generous people not as a ruse to open wallets but because - as he illustrates and explains well - only generous people in spirit and ethos will ever fill the plate. And it is more than his homespun wisdom as supported by his distilation of current reasearch and thinking from leaders in the field. Durall's emphasis on giving as the sharing of gifts with which we have been blessed is inspirational as well as practical. Give a copy to your minister as well as to every fundraiser you know!
Creating Congregations of Generous People.......2000-05-01
We are encountering change in every walk of life. Why not in the church stewardship program? Unique insight and a step-by-step process to generate a passion for giving. It is progressive look at effective fundraising in a church setting.
I Wish I Had Had This Book When I Ran The Pledge Drive.......2000-04-27
Many of the lessons that Michael Durall outlines in this book would have saved me a lot of pain when I ran the pledge drive for a three-year period in my church. He has lots of tips here, yet the part I liked the most was his whole new way of looking at raising money. Rather than something to be dreaded like some sort of congregational root canal, he presents giving as an affirmation of one's life and the embodiment of the hopes of a group of people. He combines realistic techniques with a sense of inspiration. If I were running the pledge drive again, I'd give a copy of this book to everyone on the committee.

Worthless mumbo jumbo.......2007-05-14
Don't expect to find any real useful information in this volume. It is only a philosophical piece that describes how you should think about money. It can be summarized as followed: there is an abundance of money on the planet, admit that you want and love money, be true to your goals, and be generous with others. If you do so, all the money you will ever need need will come your way. He suggests that you put a lit candle in a window for a week along with a letter saying that you want money for all the good you've done in this world, and ......voila ! A truckload of money will soon be dumped in your lap. (This is how the author puports to have obtained $15,000. WOW.) He does realistically admit that it might take a little longer than one week....so get several candles he says. Skip this book and pick up a good investment guide.
The difference between the tramp and the millionaire.......2007-05-13
The Little Money Bible is all that and more. There is nothing little about this book at all. It should be the big money bible all you need to know at your fingertips. Stuart Wilde brings us to an understanding of what money is in our lives. He points out throughout the book that it is all energy. He also speaks to us that money is all about feeling. In these eternal truths he also causes us to pay attention to the game of life. He points us in the direction of the inner game which is a great metaphysical truth that is understood throughout the ages.
I love when Wilde points out by saying, "The difference between the tramp and the millionaire is an almost imperceptible shift in consciousness and vitality." With this thought in mind we can understand that all things move by reason of the mind. This book will teach you about the laws of abundance and the learned art of manifestation. When you discover the principles in this book it will wow your mind and cause you to start to think of money in a correct mindset. The little money bible should be kept by your bed or in your purse. You should not only read it but peruse it so that every thought can be digested to the level you can handle in mind. The point he makes in the book is that you must align money with right thinking. You will never attract money if you think it is evil. That is why everyday I say "I love money and money loves me." This statement started to free me from religious bondage that would have me to kick the good money from me. I recommend this book to those that are a thinking mind. And remember what the mind can conceive it will achieve if it is held long enough in thought. Bless you all.
Abridged Version of The Trick to Money is Having Some..........2007-04-15
I'm a HUGE FAN of Stuart Wilde. I bought and read his other book, The Trick to Money is Having Some.
This book is an abridged and updated version of his other book. Still, even with the same info as the other book, it has additional info that doesn't seem to be in the other book.
I keep both books very close to me. I take this book on trips with me so I have immediate access to his info in a short but sweet format that this book provides.
Both of his "money" books, as I call them (this book and The Trick to Money is Having Some, highly recommended) have changed my life. His methods and techniques are immediately usable and practical.
If you're tired of the typical metaphysical "attraction" books out there, THIS is the book for you. Most other books tell you to change your thinking and, I guess as the theory goes, a suitcase full of money is supposed to show up at your door.
Stuart Wilde realizes was a bunch of malarky that concept is and tells you HOW to work with the RULES OF THE WORLD in order to have boatloads of money show up at your door. However, you have to DO SOMETHING to get the money...Not just "think positive" and have checks arrive to you from the clouds. That's not how life works.
His work is superb. You'll be missing out if you pass on this book. You MUST get this book if you want to fully understand how to make "life" work for you so you can make as much money as possible.
A MUST HAVE.......2007-01-09
I borrowed the book from a friend and decided to buy the CD since i drive a lot... this material is wonderful. it really helps you to loosen up your ideas about money and get things flowing. it has helped me tremendously.
Top of the List Need To Read.......2006-05-25
If you are serious about creating wealth and understanding the mechanics of wealth, this easy to read book is mandatory reading. I can say without hesitation that this is one of the top 5 books I've ever read.
[...]
Book Description
In these days of economic uncertainty, and in a society that values financial security, money is an emotional topic. Appearances and lifestyle matter to us. And money–or the lack of it–often determines whether or not were content. The truth is, our attitudes toward money and possessions reflect the quality of our relationship with God. And, according to the Scriptures, our view of money reveals where our true affections lie.
Prosperity is not a sin, but it does bring responsibilities. And scarcity is not a virtue, particularly when it distracts us from the things that truly matter.
In this six-week study you will discover God’s view of material wealth. As you dig into the Scriptures, you’ll learn where money comes from, you’ll see how we’re supposed to handle it, and you’ll understand how to live an abundant life, regardless of your financial circumstances.
Customer Reviews:
A nice book on Biblical Coins.......2006-12-29
This is a very nice book on the coins that are mentioned in the Bible. The author does a very nice job of describing and using clear photographs of each coin. He also does his best on narrowing down what each coin could be in the Bible if it is not clear. For example, The "30 pieces of silver" that Juduas Iscariot received for betraying Jesus could be one of a few different coins and the bible does not state which coin or coins they were. However, he describes the most likely coin that was used based on what was in circulation at the time, etc.
Could have been more on:
1) The author could have also described what other coins, such as the "30 pieces" mentioned above, it could of been. Experts tend to agree with the author's choice but also state that the coins could have also been other coins.
2)The author could have also suggested where the reader can purchase some of the coins more specifically.
All in all, well worth the price and a GREAT coffee table book.

Wonderful Marketing and Management Guide for the SOHO Owner.......2004-05-06
Barbara has really outdone herself again in part 2 of her Homemade Money book series, Bringing in the Bucks. In this follow-up to her Starting Smart! book, Barbara has provided an encyclopedic A-Z "crash course" in home business management that's an incredible resource all by itself, and has devoted the rest of the book to the number one problem with which my clients struggle--marketing their businesses. Barbara literally takes you by the hand and walks you down the marketing path, from helping you devise your marketing strategy to providing insight on how to play the publicity game to giving you ideas on inexpensive marketing techniques. Once you've gotten through these stages, there's a whole chapter devoted to doing business online. I would be hard-pressed to find a more comprehensive resource to help my clients manage and market their businesses.
Bringing In the Bucks.......2003-09-15
As a woman who has worked from home for over eight years, the most important lesson that I have learned is to enjoy all of the expert information that is available for research about working from home. Homemade Money: Bringing In the Bucks is a perfect example of reading something that will enlighten you, help you in areas that you never imagined and give you the self-confidence to know that you are choosing your own path for your life instead of letting some employer rule your days! I never imagined how much information author Barbara Brabec was cramming into this great read! Even though I feel good about my work and my lifestyle, I learned even more about working from home and increasing my future income from Homemade Money: Bringing In the Bucks. I suggest you take the time to read this jam-packed book, filled with information, been-there-done-that advice and helpful tips. It could possibly help YOU bring in the bucks!
The Bible for Home-Based Business!.......2003-08-07
My good friend Barbara Brabec has produced what I believe to be the most comprehensive "manual" for anyone starting or thinking of starting a home-based business.
No questions are left unanswered. From start-up concerns like zoning, permits, and legal forms of your business, to running your business day-to-day, this book is the only one that you'll need to get up and running in no time.
What's more, Barbara Brabec has solicited the comments of industry professionals from many different fields. They offer tried-and-true tips and techniques to run your business smoothly and, as the title says, "Bring in the bucks"!
Highly recommended as more and more people are starting and running their own businesses today-- from home. And it contains all of the info you need.
If you buy just one book before launching out into the deep waters of home-based self-employment, make it this book!

Starting out in 1986 with practically nothing, book packager and cyberentrepreneur Seth Godin has created a new- and old-media business that now employs 40 and generates around $5 million in annual revenue. In The Bootstrapper's Bible: How to Start and Build a Business with a Great Idea and (Almost) No Money, Godin shows precisely how his own venture, and a slew of others like Dell Computer, Burton Snowboards, Bose Corporation, Starbucks, and many lesser-known companies, ultimately managed to turn that nothing into something quite substantial. "Bootstrappers built this country, and they continue to make it great," he writes. "Virtually every business--from IBM to the local dry-cleaner--was bootstrapped, usually by people with far less smarts, less money, fewer connections, and less vision than you have right now." He elaborates on specific practices that he believes are critical to entrepreneurs who may have great ideas and boundless enthusiasm but lack the financial resources to launch their businesses in the traditional way. Writing in a clear and straightforward manner, he lays out Nine Magical Rules (such as "Find people who care about cash less than you do"), Ten Commandments (including "Don't forget where you came from"), and lots of other helpful tips. --Howard Rothman
Customer Reviews:
Not a "How to start a business in 7 easy steps" book..........2002-04-29
I read this book a few years ago and once again I reread it recently (ok, some areas I grazed over but I reread most of it.) Not only does this book cover a wide variety of issues about starting a business on little money, it also provides you with examples of how other businesses started (including some of the big brands that exist today.) From stretching your existing cash to finding your niche, this book is not a black and white "how to start a business in x number of easy steps" but instead a book that can be applied to whatever business you want to start. Or if you have already started and want to go back over some of the fine points it can also be helpful.
all this book will do is change your life.......2000-04-26
if you think you need a lot of money to start and run a successful business... you're wrong.
This book changed the way I look at business. And it worked. I'm making more money and having more fun. BUY IT! It works.
A classic........2000-01-30
Again and again, I find myself going back to this book to find things I missed. Goden has produced a resource that's essential for anyone starting or running a small business. I really can't recommend it highly enough.
Bootstrapper gives this book the big thumbs up........1999-12-06
As an experienced bootstrapper myself -- having tried it twice and failed, and then another twice and succeeded -- I give Godin's book a massive vote of confidence.
I had several jolts of recognition seeing things to avoid, and a whole lot of smiles at things I've been doing right in my latest venture. But more than that, I was given practical advice and strategies to use and use again.
It's clear that Godin knows what he's talking about, and the book offers clear and helpful advice, with templates for success (such as the employee handbook), and to-do lists that really do mean business.
I'm presently consulting the book for tips on getting my product ready to take to market.
I'm glad I bought the book, and I have strong suspicions that the naysayers among us are sour graping our good man Godin.
Blue skies love Roy
Another Big Let-down.......1999-07-13
Fluff. Piffle. Regurgiation. How long did it take the author to "write" this tome? The answer is probably one evening. Don't waste your money.
