Book Description
Each card in this inspiring deck offers an idea to stretch your approach to observing and chronicling the daily events around you. You'll learn how to harness the power of words (what to write about, and what to write with), explore extreme photography techniques without having any previous photography experience, focus on the little things (like a two-inch section of a painted mural you drive by every day), and discover unusual ways to create a self-portrait (from plastic wrap and tree lights, to close-ups of your hands). Includes 50 cards and a creativity notebook to record your own art-journal explorations.

Very Cool Concept.......2007-09-26
I love these creativity cards! The graphics on one side are unique, interesting, colorful, and eye catching. The prompts on the flipside are thought-provoking, meaningful, and different. The small journal is a great creative jumpstart in itself. I love the colors and techniques that were used to produce the backgrounds. Think I'll even attempt to create some of those myself. The box housing the creativity cards and journal is sturdy and pleasant to look at.
This is a fresh concept, and I am enjoying this package very much.
By the way, this is in no way a "how to" of any type. It is intended to make you think about doing old things in a fresh way or to help you attempt something new altogether.
Highly recommended.
Wow!.......2007-08-05
these cards are amazing. each one is a little piece of art in itself. you'll want to frame and hang them. except then you wouldn't be able to turn them over and get a shot in the arm of inspiration... yummy. i'm too afraid to work in the little workbook as yet, tho. i don't wanna mess it up. :)
if you're looking for cutesy, pretty art, tho, look somewhere else. this is real, gritty from-the-soul art. the kind that hits you "right there". and hopefully will help you make your own journal pages that do the same.
several of them are geared towards photography but lots of it is the kind that can be done with even an el cheapo camera. the author will also have you using tape, glue, spraypaint, and maybe a few things you never thought of as art supplies before. this is the kind of journaling that begs you to jump in and get messy.
if you do any kind of visual journaling, i highly recommend these cards and workbook.
So Much Fun.......2007-08-05
I got this after much thought. I figured it was just another "how to do a journal book". But, I found it to be much fun to do the exersizes and if you are an artist with a block, this will help to unblock you. It can give you ideas you never really thought of before on approaching your art work. Plus, as I said, it is a lot of fun to do the exersizes suggested on the individual cards. The kit also includes a fun little notebook/journal book to do as you please with. If you teach art, these are also fun ideas to inspire your students. I plan on doing that with my students this Fall.
This is a Gem.......2007-07-26
First of all, this will make a perfect gift for anyone crafty or involved in journaling, scrapbooking, altered books, ATCs, etc. It's a very affordable gift that keeps on giving.
The author opens your eyes to new ways to be creative in a way anyone, whether an "artist" or not, can use everyday observations to create real, unique, personal, fun, journal pages. She'll encourage you to take in all your surroundings and find a common element - she was able to find the common element while sitting in an Italian restaurant and watching war protesters: she, the waiter, the protesters were all waiting, caught up in a moment in time which was the theme she used for one one of her journal pages. She uses paint, photography and any object that she can use to express herself in her work -and makes no apologies. I LOVE this little gem. Just lovely and real. You won't be disappointed.
Great things come in little boxed sets..........2007-07-04
I noticed that there was a 1 star review of "Wide Open...". No offense, reviewer, but clearly you don't have a clue. Yes, the cards in the set are sort of vague -- if you are looking for step-by-step instructions for making something, don't waste your money on this. And, yes, you do need to own... and have some very basic knowledge of... art supplies (again, no offense, but if you've been within spitting distance of an art supply or craft store, then you'll know what gesso is).
[Ok, stepping off my soap box and done with the snarky comments.] Randi Feuerhelm-Watts is such an inspiration! I love her style and the ideas for inspiration that she presents on the cards go way beyond some of the tired, old suggestions that seem to always crop up in art/craft publications.
I read all the cards in one sitting (because I'm obsessive like that!) and I did notice that some of them related to each other. Not that they are dependent on each other or that you would be lost if you pick them at random... but I did observe some links between the individual ideas. I think this is great for continuing themes in your art work. Also, while she references photography quite a bit (she is a photographer after all), I definitely do not feel that any of the ideas are pigeonholed by the techniques. The author's basic ideas translate really well no matter what kind of visual artwork you might do.
The cards themselves each feature snippets of the author's artwork on the back. This alone is incredibly inspirational. You almost get double the bang for your buck - pull out one of the cards to interpret the visual side and then come back to it later for inspiration from the narrative side.
My only complaint would be about the Creativity Notebook... I wouldn't really call it a complaint, persay. I guess I'm just ambivalent about it's inclusion in the set. On one hand she has provided some great backgrounds to help you combat "white page syndrome" as well as some random instructions to offer a jump start to someone who is new to visual journaling. But on the other hand, I don't see myself personally using it since I already have half a dozen journals and prefer to make my own backgrounds (once you get on a roll, its half the fun).
The ideas and techniques are presented in Randi's conversational style, along with her great little stories. While I have not had the pleasure of taking a class with her or meeting her, she comes across as the kind of person you'd love to have as an art friend because she'd always be inspiring and challenging. I think that's the greatest thing about this kit... she's managed to package a ton of her personality and a lot of what I imagine she teaches in her workshops into one cool product. This set definitely gets a front row spot on my art-bookshelf.

She made my mitered corners beautiful.......2007-09-06
I'm making a book with boards and a leather cover; I used LaPlantz's mitered corners method (Figs. 36 - 39, pp. 39-40), and they look great! I'm sold, she's my mitering guru. Thanks!
Each stitch drawn in sequence.......2007-06-20
Detailed instructions accompanied by drawings on the same page of each stitch to be taken to bind a book, stitch varieties, binding paperbacks into custom hardbacks, creating 3 dimensional art work in book form plus invaluable pragmatic advice such as the safe relative distance from hole to edge and hole to hole, depending on size of book and binding type, as well as how many pages becomes too cumbersome to open or view with a particular technique.
Multiple suggestions follow each demonstration for expanding the technique shown, or varying the format to satisfy one's own preferences and prejudices. Ms. LaPlantz specifies infinitesmally small steps which make following the directions exceptionally easy. And she progresses from standard codex (covers and a spine) to remarkably artful constructions all the while being encouraging, enthusiastic and clear. She does not make extensive use of commoditized products other than printer paper for the book text pages, and recommends simple tools for beginning (needle, thread, cardboard, glue, paste, scissors) as well as explaining how to make one's own binding frame from an old hardback book.
Unhappily, her subseqent Art and Craft of Handmade Books was not as well edited as Cover to Cover, as you can see from her website which lists pages of corrections to the printed edition as well as including material edited out which was necessary for clarity, continuity and simplicity of instruction. She even includes bonus materials, photos, techniques not in Art and Craft of Handmade Books.
Cover to Cover is excellent, like having a mentor at one's side with years of experience guiding one's acquisitiion of binding skills.
Highly recommended.
gettin started.......2007-02-13
wonderful into to the world of making artist books; let your imagination take you away
Awesome Book.......2005-08-22
This is the book to get for anything concerning making creative books. From artsy books to making your own unique scrapbook, this is a great resource to give you a new idea or a new twist to your paper crafts.
Wonderful Introduction to Bookmaking.......2005-07-18
I bought this for both my daughter and me to learn how to make books. My daughter was not very interested in reading a book about bookmaking -- she prefers to embark on her own journeys -- but when she saw a few of the examples, she tore it out of my hands and set to work. She has already made the two simple starter versions, and she is 12. It is great fun to see her puzzling through the instructions and turning out a very nice little book. I am looking forward to making photography books. Actually, I'm looking forward to printing the pages using my Epson Pro 4000 on double sided fine art papers such as Illuminata cotton photo rag 300 gsm double sided paper and having my daughter put the books together.
You can read the other reviews here for the nitty gritty of what is inside this book. I will tell you that I went to my local Jerry's Artarama, where they had a wide assortment of books on bookmaking. I sat down and looked through all of them, and this is the one that impressed me the most as being clear, with simple starter projects and complete equipment lists, as well as a nice, steady progression towards more complicated projects. I even bought it there (sorry, Amazon, but I do like to support my local shops and you get the vast bulk of my book purchases!).

A Beloved Classic and It Still Works.......2007-09-28
I bought this book 5 years ago, and I still use it. This book, and all of Becky's sketch books, give you ideas for pages not reliant upon products, designs, or themes. I simply look for a page layout based on how many photos I have and their orientation. Turn the book 90 degrees and you have more options. Turn it upside down for even more options. Have an empty space to fill with an accent? Check out that section. Wondering how to emphasize your focal point photo? Look at frames.
The best thing about this book is that the sketches do not rely upon the more modern trend of oddly sized photos. All the photos in this book are 4 x 6 or thereabouts. No PhotoShop skills or computer equipment is necessary!
Absolutely worth every penny.
Excellent Resource for a new-intermediate scrapper!.......2007-09-20
Becky Higgins is a wealth of ideas for scrappers, and this book is just the thing I need when I'm trying to put together a layout. In the world of scrapbooking, trends come and go, but because these ideas are based onkey graphic design concepts (and all of Becky's stuff is like this)they can easily transfer over to new styles and techniques. If you are an experienced scrapper, then you've probably seen a lot of this stuff before and would benefit from getting her newest book, "Best of Becky Higgins Sketches." But I consider this book indispensable!
GREAT SCRAPBOOKERS HELPER.......2007-05-18
THIS IS A GREAT BOOK FOR WHEN YOU HAVE A CREATIVE BLOCK -- LOTS OF IDEAS AND YOU CAN EASILY ADAPT THEM TO FIT YOUR STYLE! TONS AND TONS OF GREAT STUFF
My Creative Companion.......2007-05-12
Great Book, I love it. Good source of information and ideas. I would recommend it to anyone. I plan to get her other books also. Thanks Becky Higgins.
Great Generic Ideas With No Photos to Distract.......2007-01-31
My favorite part about this book is that it isn't just a bunch of pages other people have created that you then get caught up in the photos and stories, forgetting why you originally went looking. For years, I'd gotten the scrap magazines, which, while beautiful and ususally inspiring, did not always help me. I usually thought I had to find a book with exactly the theme I was working on. The good news is that you don't, and this book has mock-ups of layouts, borders, etc. that are easily adaptable to any book you're working on. I think the only downside might be that there are so many new techniques that have come out in the five years since it was published, that it may not cover as much as some might like. Having said that, I'm willing to bet the #2 that just came out will pick those up perfectly! From my perspective, buying either book (or even both!) would be a good investment for anyone who's found themselves stuck creatively!

Best Photo Cropping Book Yet!.......2007-08-30
I have been an avid scrapbooker for years and have yet to find a book that uses the pictures as the true page focal point instead of adding embellishments.... until I saw this book! There is page after page of unique ideas for cropping pictures that will guarantee that your pages will stand out from all the others.
*SCRAPBOOKERS* use those scissors with CREATIVITY !.......2007-08-02
Ever hear of *SHEAR-CROPPERS* ? "Creative P.C. (Photo Cropping) for Scrapbooks" is a book crammed with examples of "creative cropping" - - including new twists & challenges. My favorites are weaving, vertical panoramas and kaleidoscope mats.
Patterns can be imitated or cleverly adapted for using your own treasured photographs. The fun is in trying out all of the different effects. Only in a "How-To" book would so many fill consecutive pages, but finished products can also be framed as gifts, &/or placed as decorative accents in homes.
The book is obviously not the work of one individual - - many have worked together to demonstrate ideas for cropping in distinctive ways that will liven the pages of scrapbooks. It is all part of a thriving industry whose many enthusiasts love to learn & share new techniques. Even in the very small (15,071) Indiana county where Reviewer mcHAIKU lives, there are two shops and one 'commercial' individual in the largest town (population: 826)!
This shows that you can get help anywhere to produce *BLUE RIBBON scrapbooks* - - and especially by using books such as "Creative Photo Cropping." (mcHaiku: 8.2.07)
Wonderful, especially for apprentice scrapbookers!.......2007-01-29
This book is well worth the price. It offers many unique ideas. It has the basics for your beginner scrapbookers, but is full of challenge ideas for apprentice or even seasoned scrapbookers!
Simply the Best.......2006-09-11
An excellent book for all levels of scrapbookers, but especially so for those who are just beginning. Well done.
Refreshing new ideas for the medium-advanced scrapbooker!.......2005-11-30
I have looked and wasted so much money buying scrapbooking books here and there for these tiny bits of "goodness" in them. When this book arrived I realized I finally found a true inspiration book - no fluff, no fillers, no really basic-how-to-scrapbook instructions. Everytime I open this book I become entralled with the examples....(Ooohhh, I NEED to do that next time...WAAYY TOO COOL!).
If you are a beginning scrapbooker - this book is not for you. The methods of cutting or cropping are better left to those who've gained experience with cropping photos and using a paper trimmer. A better book for you would be Scrapbooking for Dummies (covers a wide variety of basics) or a class.
However, if you treat your paper trimmer like a third arm and are quite comfortable with it - you've got to get this book! Well worth the price even at full retail!

What a DISSAPOINTMENT DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.......2006-12-30
I purchased this book to learn about Digital Scrapbooking not how to use PSE whatever..I was so disappointed in the book's content that I wish I could return it. If you know how to use PSE this book is almost worthless for scrapbooking. Although the title makes the book sound like a primer for digital scrapbooking nothing about the subject even kicks in until page 84 which is three quarters of the way through the book. Like i said DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!
ugly designs, not much info.......2006-06-16
I did not find this book to be very helpful. One turn off is that the actual layouts in the book are very primitive - not at all as nice as the stuff you see in scrapbook mags or on sites like two peas in a bucket or the digital scrapbook place.
There is very little actual instruction on *how* to do the scrapbooking.
For Photoshop Elements 3.0 not 4.0.......2006-03-30
I ordered this book as an introduction to both Photoshop Elements and digital scrapbooking. It's just excellent. However, it's for Photoshop Elements version 3.0. I have version 4.0, so the half of the book which serves as a Photoshop Elements "how-to" did me no good. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to return it. It's a pity because this is an excellent little book.
recieved the book in good new condition.......2006-03-24
I recieved the book I ordered quickly and in good condition.
Book Title & synopsis misleading.......2006-03-23
I purchased this book thinking it would be a good primer for learning digital scrapbooking. Sadly, there are only 4 pages in the book devoted to setting up a scrapbook page & various techniques. Those 4 pages are good but not worth the purchase price. The focus of the book really is on photography and photo-editing and a lot less on scrapbooking.

What do an old cigar box, a stack of used CDs, and a bunch of shopping bags have in common? To author Donna Downey they are all scrapbooks--yes scrapbooks. In Creative Albums, her first book in the "Yes, It's a Scrapbook" series, Donna shares 25 "out of the box" ways to capture your most meaningful memories. And best of all, you can finish most albums in an afternoon or over a weekend. Great Book! .......2007-07-27
I love all three of Donna Downey's books in this series! They include projects that I will complete! I refer to it over and over again, for projects and techniques. Projects are easily adaptable to supplies I have on hand. I would recommend this book to both beginners and advanced crafters.
Creative and Innovative.......2006-07-17
I love this book. I love the designer. It got my creative juices flowing. I've already bought another book in the series.
Really Creative.......2006-07-09
This book is really creative utilizing more than just scrapbooks for creating memories and beautiful items for your home or desk. I was inspired by many of the projects.
Fabulous!.......2006-03-11
Creative Albums is full of wonderful ideas with easy to follow instructions. Donna's fun narration combined with the fresh colors and textures in the project photos will delight you.
FANTASTIC buy.......2006-03-08
I bought all three of Donnas books and am so happy. I make custom scrapbooks for a living and am always looking for different elements and designs for my clients albums...not to mention my own. The book is very easy to follow with simple step by step instructions and she gives a list of where to buy all the products she uses. I highly recommend this and the other two books for anyone who is ready to experiment and move away from the regular albums to incorporate the WOW factor on their bookshelf at home!

The Photo Scribe helps to recall the stories of your life and will show you how not only to write better captions but to go beyond captions into lifestory writing. Your albums can go from being just lovely pages to telling your story and the story of your family.
Customer Reviews:
*the who?what?when? STORIES* will please your Heirs most of all . . .*.......2007-07-22
The Photo Scribe is a 'how-to-book' for any of us who are crazy about doing more than flip through snapshots. As decades(!) pass, pictures may accumulate while one's filing system deteriorates. We save articles about archival care & materials while trying to hide the fact that our favorite receptacles are shoe boxes.
Then like Superman, Denis Ledoux to the rescue! Your photographs, and snapshots for which "enhancement* is now available, deserve careful formatting with clever elegance. Experienced writer Denis Ledoux will answer your many questions and share his successes.
A reading of Ledoux' book should give you/me/us more than a subtle nudge in the direction of establishing order. Heaven knows the death of parents, aunts, uncles, even siblings give an unmistakable elbow to the ribs - - to reinforce the pleas from grown children who claim their mess of pottage in the form of orderly (chronological, date-marked) photo albums. And what will please your 'heirs' most are the stories you tell about *who?what?when?* the pictures were being taken.
When we finally acknowledge that the problem must be tackled, we opt to give it a Blue Ribbon treatment. And YES, today's county fairs DO award ribbons in a scrapbook category catering to the enthusiasm of those who are 'into' the scrapbooking craze. The cover & even the title page of "Photo Scribe" feature a perfectly replicated handwriting that gives a truly elegant touch because of the unreal evenness of the script. Although not mentioned in the glossary or index, this effect can be achieved by purchasing a FONT of your own writing or printing (or both). The book does include many sources for archival materials, although other proven suppliers (in Rochester & Syracuse NY) are not mentioned.
Reviewer mcHaiku stresses that *THE EMPHASIS IS ON THE WRITING*. It gives your pictures a liveliness, and brings a value & validity to your efforts that cannot otherwise be achieved.
How to journal the stories behind your photographs........2003-06-16
What made you take those photographs in the first place? Why do you spend so many hours preserving them? Just what are you trying to express?
At some point, you must have decided who your "audience" would be - guests in your home, for whom you write cute and clever quips as captions to your photos? You could create albums just for entertainment. A dry historical record of the names, dates and events you are preserving? Well at least you are helping the family genealogist at some future date. Or something deeper...perhaps a heritage for your descendants someday, in which you express your personal life's story?
The Photo Scribe will teach you to do just that; to examine and organize your memories, building a file of "lifestory" experiences until you can journal the real stories behind your photographs. It is a process that you can't rush through quickly, which may be offputting at first to some who (like me) are used to speed scrapping or scrapping with the intent to display photos first and journal as an afterthought. You will learn that even those precious pictures are really just secondary players to the memories you are expressing in your journaling. Think of the lifestory you are writing as the cake and the photos as icing - mere illustrations. You could even journal and scrap a few pages of lifestory without photos at all, where necessary.
I will admit to having some problems with these concepts when I started reading The Photo Scribe. The implication that I had breezed through my journaling impatiently and missed the entire point of scrapbooking was a bit depressing. For example, I had never examined my underlying goals for my albums when I started them. If I had, I might have realized that "Jake and Eric, July 2002. My Watermelon Patch Kids!" didn't go far enough in conveying the kind of thoughts and emotions I had while taking that photo of my children among the melon vines. The real memory I wanted to preserve was in how precious and fleeting these early years are and the pure enjoyment of playing in the dirt and sunlight with ladybugs and butterflies alighting on our hair. After my older child had recovered from a serious viral illness just two months earlier, the vignette of them playing together robust and happy that afternoon was what had really inspired me to grab the camera in the first place. If I had planned my page to focus on that, rather than a fun quip, it would have been quite different, not to mention more meaningful to me and to my children.
Take heart, you don't have to redo all your old pages. There are ways to incorporate new journaling into existing areas, as the author explains later on. You can even create alternate albums to amuse and delight the casual onlooker and reserve the lifestory albums for your intimate circle of family and friends. The most important thing is that you are creating albums that satisfy not only your need to show off pictures, but the deeper need to share your thoughts and memories.
-Andrea, aka Merribelle.
Highly recommended.......2001-03-28
I have also read numerous books and articles on how to improve your writing skills and telling your life's story. This one is simply the best. It takes you through exercises that are simple, yet effective. I read the book once, and without consciously trying, my writing effectively quadrupled. A few more reads, and I now routinely write 4-5 pages to describe a day's event. Not only that, but the writing style is much tighter, and I have learned not to focus on the obvious, but to focus on the thoughts and feelings of the participants as well.
Incidentally, I have also read Joanna Campbell Slan's book. It is different in focus, but if you must choose one, this is definitely the one. Everything else I've read is covered in this book, usually more thoroughly.
Note to scrapbookers: this book is definitely useful to scrappers. However, it is *not* a layout book. This is a book about how to write, not how to compose your writing into your scrapbooks. Don't let that turn you off, however.
This is easily one of the best purchases I've made.
Excellent guide helps you write the stories behind the photo.......2000-07-21
I've looked at several books written to help the scrapbooker improve the journaling in photo albums, but this is by far the best. Mr. LeDoux covers the basics of journaling styles, but goes well beyond these to inspire readers to really give some meaningful thought to what they want others to know about the experiences displayed in the scrapbook. He provides food for thought, as in his caution that "cliches will never tell you or your children's children the story behind the photograph." It is easy to caption a picture with such phrases as "oh, where's the sunblock." Go beyond these lines, and really tell about the events, feelings or outcomes of that trip to the beach. Mr. LeDoux's book will help you move toward truly thoughtful and reflective photo-journaling.
I highly recommend this book........2000-04-01
I bought this book after seeing it at a scrapbook convention. I had been wanting to add more journaling to my scrapbooks but was stuck on just what to write and how to write it. The Photo Scribe answered all of my questions. It is a very helpful book. It helps you figure out what information to include and how to structure your journal entries. This book would be helpful for anyone creating a scrapbook or keeping a journal.

very good.......2006-08-07
I really liked this one, unlike another "digital" one I got which was actually about paper (Point and Click Scrapbooking). This one is 100% digital with lots of ideas and layouts to snag ideas from. One of the best things about it is that it doesn't waste pages with projects that I would never do. It's just page after page of full color wonderful layouts showcasing a subject/concept/idea. There are a few pages on equipment and such, but not enough to deter from the layouts/ideas.
Book Description
*Besides the photos, type and the treatment of words is the most important element on a scrapbook page. The words scrapbookers use add depth to the meaning and content of their layouts--and they can be even more effective when artfully presented with types designed to evoke certain emotions, sensibilities, or dimensions.
*Typography was recently ranked the fifth most popular topic among Memory Makers readers, a trend made evident in the market by the popularity of various lettering products (monograms, die cuts, rub-ons, etc.).
Combining learnable techniques with strong, inspiring artwork, Type Cast will teach readers how to get the most out of their tools, supplies, and even their own handwriting to create fabulous pages that fully integrate text into successful designs. With the help of professional scrapbook designers who love to play with type, readers will learn how to:
*Choose the perfect lettering to portray mood or theme
*Have fun mixing and matching letter types
*Integrate type into page design for good balance and proportion
*Create titles
*And journal with maximum impact
Screen captures demonstrate ways to add digital type to handmade pages, while step-by-step photographs accompany written instruction to illustrate exciting techniques for using letter templates, stamps, die cuts and ready-mades.

VERY creative type ideas..........2007-04-22
This is a great book. Anyone who looks at my pages knows that I can't scrap without my computer - you'd be VERY hardpressed to find a page that doesn't use a computer font in some way. So, clearly, the computer-related sections of the book seemed most familiar, but I have begun to 'branch out' more in title treatments and such, using stickers, rub ons, etc. more and this book gave me a lot of creative ideas.

Scrapbookers who are big fans of die-cuts will find ideas galore in Creative Scrapbooking by Sandi Genovese. A noted designer and the creative director for the Ellison company, Genovese has compiled dozens of scrapbook-page designs based around Ellison paper die-cuts. But for those who don't want to go to the expense of purchasing the ready-made cutouts, she provides 26 pages of patterns that can easily be traced or photocopied to re- create any project in the book. Relying on the cutouts to define album pages does tend to give them a mass-produced air rather than a unique look, but the designs are fun and colorful, and the good illustrations and directions make these easy projects even easier. The final section applies these scrapbooking methods to other items, including greeting cards, invitations, and a mobile. --Amy Handy

Ok! book, If beginner........2007-09-21
If you are a beginner scrap-booker this will be helpful to you. I wanted the book, hoping for a "how to" do some of Sandi's uses with the Sizzit Die Cut Machine. It was a little helpful but most of it I already knew.
Outdated Book!.......2002-01-23
I was very disappointed in this book. It seems to very outdated, and the ideas presented are not the most creative. Sure, the beginning scrapper could easily copy the layouts in the book, but they don't have that professional look that you expect to see in a scrapbooking book. The book does have a few good tips for beginning scrappers, and it has some patterns of diecuts in the back, which were helpful, however, I wouldn't recommend buying this book for those reasons alone.
Not as expected.......2002-01-11
This book was not as I expected. It had some ideas if you want to work for awhile. I would not recommend this book to the beginning scrapbooker.
Terrific and Simple Ideas.......2001-03-01
This is a great book for both the beginner and the advanced scrapbookers. There are wonderful examples, plenty of patterns and simple directions. A must have!
Great Book!.......2000-03-16
I'm a beginning scrapper who was overwhelmed by the pages I'd seen in the scrapbook magazines. A friend recommended this book to me and boy did it help. The book is broken down by technique, which is wonderful. I was able to create good looking pages just by following the easy directions.
