A Springboard for Successful Wire Wrapped jewelry!.......2007-09-15
I have been designing jewelry for 12 years. There is always some elusive technique that I cannot find really good tutorial for. This book offered an excellent tutorial for wire wrapping briolettes. A great book for beginners with courage and moxy. A terrific book for intermediate skilled artisans. Whether you like the pastel colors used in the tutorials or not, the skills demonstrated in the book are a terrific springboard for developing your own individual style of artistic expression in composition that will render long enduring quality work-which is as it should be. The projects, with very little imagination, have room to personalize and augment into a design that is more than the initial project offered. All projects have an elegance and grace that are missing from many of the other books in my reference library. I highly recommend this one.
Wonderful projects to inspire you.......2007-06-02
This book has some wonderful projects to inspire the buddinhg jeweler, with easy to follow instructions, I would recommend this book to have in your library and use as a reference.
Teen's Review.......2007-02-03
I LOVE beading and this book was a very nice one. I looked through over 20 bead books to find just the right one of my favorite two. I like that the instructions are in depth but not too complicated. The pictures are really helpful and motivating. I feel like I am capable of creating anything in this book. For absolute beginners, I think some of the projects are too much especially for those who have little patience. I thought that some of the pieces were gorgeous but a couple of them I really dislike.
For You if...
you have patience
you've had a little experience in beading
you have the supplies (all the plyers, some beads, etc.)
you're easily inspired
you want a book that uses a wide range of tecniques
Not For You if...
you're just starting beading
you don't want to make jewelry
you want something REALLY different
you're looking for strictly an inspirational book
you don't like transparent beads and light colors (they use a lot of those)
Beautifully Georgeus.......2007-01-10
M.T. Ryan beautifully combine stones & materials that give the 'bling' and elegance effect on each of the projects. With step by step pictures & instruction, this book is a DO for beginners. For intermediate level, you'll find another insight in combining material, choosing colors and experimenting more in using georgeus chunky stones!
Beaded Jewellery.......2006-11-09
A very nice book - great instructions and pictures. Most of the jewellery is made with wire as opposed to thread. Beads are certainly easily obtained from any good bead shop. I would recommend to anyone who likes working with wire.
Product Description
A stylish little book of instruction for making seven types of bead rings, with a generous supply of wire and a rainbow of Czech seed beads included. These supplies come packaged in a daisy-shaped caddy with a rotating lid that provides easy access while

Fun fun fun!!!.......2003-07-22
...BR>This is an awesome book made by real people ... and by an awesome company! My cousin has this book and I have done three of the rings already. They are easy to do and the directions are well explained and not too complex.
The rings include: simple ring (you should learn to do this first), twisted ring, chain, vine, butterfly, starburst, and daisy chain. This book has plenty of beads so you can do your favorite rings over and over!
The only complaint I have is there's this stupid bead wheel (you've seen it on the front picture) and the colors get mixed up if you take it on a car trip, or when you're flipping through different colors.
Otherwise, this is a great book and I highly reccomend it for someone who is interested in making bead rings!
Irresistible.......2000-12-07
I tried not to buy this book for a long time. It seemed like I could figure it out myself, and I have a lot of craft books already. There is something so wonderful, however, about having crystal clear instructions and all the right supplies right in front of you. With this book, there's nothing to "figure out" (unless you want to vary the patterns). You can just relax and make some adorable jewelry. These are quick to make and look quite nice. This is another Klutz book that I'll take to the craft class I run with teens. My complaints about the book: the bead wheel doesn't work well--beads get stuck and shoved into other compartments or fall out the sides. The bead colors are mixed together in color families, which is a real pain when you're trying to get all one color. There is variety in colors, but not in beads. A flower bead or two (like the one in one of the book's pictures) would have been nice. Still, the patterns are pretty, quick, and do-able. The variety of representative designs (butterfly, flower) and pretty patterns (chain)is good. It's a fine little book.
a crazy klutz fan.......2000-10-17
this great book provides materials for doing all the rings.the instructions are clear and easy to follow and there are great designs of rings too , like a beautiful butterfly on the ring , a vine... this book is affordable and those who are interested in this, you can start on this book! It's gonna be fun!
Klutz books rule..........2000-06-15
I must say, this is another awesome klutz book. The instructions are clear and well illustrated and easy to follow. The rings are nice, and range from very simple to quite complex. And of course, you can always make bracelets and neclaces as well, just use more wire.
The whole idea behind these books is just so well executed. The seem a little expensive, but they come with everything you need to get started, so really, they aren't. And it saves you that part where you buy the book and then run around spending all sorts of money to make sure that you have everything you need. Or worse, never making anything from the book because you can't be bothered to go out and get what you need. This book, or any of the other klutz books, make excellent gifts for the young or young-at-heart, just for this reason.
One word of warning with this one. I dropped it, and the bead container top popped off. It could have been nasty, this book comes with a lot of beads, and they're tiny! Luckily, only a few were spilled, and I transferred the beads to something a little more secure.
Buy this one and enjoy it. I also recommend hair wraps and hemp bracelets from the same series.
I loved it!.......2000-03-26
Hi! Ok well I just ordered this book again for a niece of mine. I have the book at home and I just love it the instructions are so easy to follow! I would recomend this to anyone who loves beautiful fashionable jewlery!

Beautiful, easy-to-make projects!.......2007-08-16
I just finished making the necklace, earrings, and ring for the "Romance" project of this book, and had to sit down and write a review to say how fantastic this book is. Every project in this book is just lovely, and the authors do a wonderful job of providing clear directions that are very easy to follow!
One of the strengths of this book is that it provides coordinated pieces of jewelry, if you like to wear matching sets, as I do. Each design/color combination is given a name and has several coordinating jewelry pieces that you can make for that design (earrings, necklace, etc.).
Although I've been beading for three-and-a-half years, I have to admit that I was a little nervous when the book first arrived since several of the projects called for using two needles, which I'd never done before. Using two needles was very easy, though, since the authors provide not only diagrams, but also a clear list of instructions. In the past, I've been frustrated by Japanese books that only use diagrams since they can be hard to follow, but this book has excellent diagrams that are fully complemented by the detailed written instructions.
Another strength of this book is that the authors give a very specific list of materials at the start of each project. They list the exact color of Swarovski crystals used, which makes it very simple to order the exact crystals you need to make an identical piece. Of course, you can always use different colors than those used in the book, but I always enjoy having a good starting point with color selection. The authors also use Japanese clear thread, but using waxed Fireline seemed to work just fine.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this book, and I highly recommend it! I'm already looking forward to making my next set of pieces with it!
Beautiful, quick and easy jewelry.......2007-05-16
This book features many projects using Swarovski crystals. The projects are easy to accomplish and quick to make, involving weaving the crystals and other beads together. The final results are gorgeous, and you will be proud to wear them or give them as gifts. Both teens and adults of all ages will enjoy wearing the jewelry made from this book. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I highly recommend it.
Beautiful Projects.......2007-03-30
My friend just got this book and now I'm buying it too. The projects are beautiful, there are instructions for sets of jewelry, and the instructions are clear and not too hard.
Better than their first book.......2007-02-07
This is a good example of the French way of beading using crystals and nylon thread. I plan on using c-lon or fireline with a beading needle. Before the projects are a few pages explaining the materials and method.Everything is clearly explained step by step with good illustrations and color photos. The projects are in sets; e.g. ring, bracelet, earrings, necklace, etc. There are 13 sets. Instructions call for two needles when beading with needles. My favorites are Ocean lace, romance and southern stars which is a 6 point star. Color choices are lovely. Both this book and her earlier one highly recommended. Very reasonable book well produced.

beadwork creates beaded rings.......2007-03-08
this book has many wonderful pictures and countless color combo's...easy to follow patterns for any type of beader...worth the purchase. thx.
Great ideas.......2006-01-25
I own many of the Interweave Press Bead book series. Beaded Rings not only gave some good designs, but gave some great ideas to use for my own ring designs. I felt the instructions were easy enough.
As a reference, most cities and states have a bead society. There are also bead stores that have classes and the staff may be able to help with some instruction.
Better Instructions Needed.......2005-07-28
The design selection and pictures were decent, but more detailed instructions are definitely needed, even for an intermediate beader.
Beautiful, Detailed Bead Book* Must Buy.......2005-04-20
I purchased this book when I saw it in a popular Beading Catalog. The book is very detailed and the photos are outstanding. Perfect for the beginner or advanced, long-time beader. I have several pages earmarked and will make. I also purchased the Beadwork Creates Beaded Bracelets and it is just as beautiful. Definately great books for all levels.

Missing Project.......2007-03-18
I received my book and immediately got some crystals to make one of the rings, which I could not believe that I was able to start and finish in an hour, even when it was my first time making this type of jewelry. Sometimes the instructions can be somewhat confusing. And I notice that the instructions for PROJECT # 8 are nowhere to be found in the book. Still a great book to get if you want to learn new ways of making great pieces of jewelry and ideas.
a good book.......2007-01-20
I think it's a good book. even for a first time beader.
Great book!.......2006-04-08
This book has beautiful designs and ideas for your own jewelry creations. I have only tried one pattern so far, which was an easy one itself, with nice pictures to follow. The instructions can get a little confusing just by the way the designer states/words the directions. But overall I am satisfied with the book because I have the same taste in design.
Fun and easy.......2006-03-10
This is another fun and easy to follow directions on learning how to make jewelry... try it you will love it too!
Pretty pictures, but otherwise disappointing.......2005-07-20
This book contains virtually nothing BUT pretty pictures. The captions for the pictures are minimalist, and there is no discussion at all of the considerations which went into the color selection and design of the pieces. If you are looking for "inspiration", this book may satisfy you. If you are looking for information, you will most likely be seriously disappointed.

Designs I haven't seen elsewhere.......2007-01-09
I checked this book out at our local library, and am seriously considering buying it. I have several other jewelry books, and this book has lots of designs I haven't seen elsewhere.
There is not a lot of use of chains/headpins in the book. Many designs use nylon thread or 32 gauge wire, and a lot of seed beads. I really like the author's use of embroidery ribbon. Instructions seem easy enough: one friend of mine made two rings in one afternoon, and I made a necklace and a ring. As the other reviewers said, look at it first to see if the designs appeal to you.
If you like the Bead Fantasies series, you may like this also. The designs here are simpler than Bead Fantasies, but they use lots of seed beads and have a generally similar delicate appeal.
I'd give it 5 stars, but there are too many ring designs and not enough necklace/bracelet designs for me.
Original, Simple & In.......2006-12-14
I bought this book, and already have so many wonderful plans for new jewelry. I do recommend browsing through it at your local bookstore, because jewelry is very much a matter of your likes.
I find that this book is great, not only the patterns that are in it, but it is so inspirational too. I am itching to make so many things both from the patterns, and on original designs that the patterns have inspired.
The photography is great, and I love the how the instructions are accompanied by drawings to make things clearer.
Very recommended.
Not what I expected.......2006-10-13
I bought this sight unseen and see perhaps two bracelets I'd like to make. Items are very simple and use lots of buttons. Rings have 25 patterns, necklaces have 20 and brooches, pins and bracelets have 13 altogether. Explanations appear to be adequate and pictures are fine but the projects themselves are not attractive. Definitely look before you buy this one.

okay for a newby--but............2006-04-16
The beads are cheap and there aren't very many-- the text is simple minded and not very well written. All and all not a very helpful purchase.
A-ok for beginners.......2005-09-24
This is a great book for young girls. Cute, creative ideas that are not hard to do. My daughters love it.
An excellent book!.......2003-09-04
I bought this title at Costco on a whim. It is perfect for a teenager or beginner beader, plus it includes large colour photographs, beads and some hardware and illustrations. This book was an inexpensive and a great starting point for me.
One of the best bead books yet.......2002-01-04
This is one of the best bead books that I have ever read. I enjoyed becuase it mainly because it showed you how to make things that you can use around the house like a napkin ring. Not just the traditionally necklaces and bracelets. I think that this is a great bead book to buy no matter what level you are at. I'm an advandance beader and I still found this book fun.

Kitsch as kitsch can.......2004-09-25
Twenty projects with color details and instructions. The projects are a step up from beginner's kits. However one would not want to be seen with them or give them away as Christmas presents. The only decent project is probably the Drop Earrings design by Linda Rose Nall; however the beads chosen in the example look like Romper School.
It does require some dexterity, visual acuity and little imagination.
Bead It!.......2000-06-12
What a wonderful book! The projects are designed by a number of different artists, so there is a lot of variety in the styles of the projects. There are tons of different kinds of things to do (ie clothing, jewelry, functional items like boxes). Many of the projects are quite simple and can be done with easy-to-find materials. I had a lot of the materials on hand. The projects are straightforward and look great. Many can be used as a jumping off point so that you can be creative and add a personal touch. I am so glad that I bought this book.
WOW!.......2000-03-10
I enjoyed this book so much. I want to make everything in it. It will inspire you in so many ways. Great instructions too. This book is worth buying. I hope there is another book coming with more ideas.

It is definately the best kit I have ever seen.
