Book Description
Recorded history is a finely-woven magic fabric of intricate lies about events predating the sixteenth century. There is not a single piece of evidence that can be reliably and independently traced back earlier than the eleventh century. This book details events that are substantiated by hard facts and logic, and validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient sources.

Calculations are only as good as your numbers.......2007-08-03
Yes, we can all agree that mainstream history is nearly 100% BS due to politics, economics, ego, problems with dating techniques, and various conspiracies. Agreed. But, I've been researching the distinct possibility that human history (in terms of civilizations) are much more ancient than we've been told, so coming across this book was very interesting to me. I wondered how Fomenko could be wrong (if at all) because he is very persuasive in his presentations. Then it dawned on me. If at previous times in prehistory, due to the various catastrophies that are well documented (comets, asteroids, planetary disruptions, plasma discharge, pole reversals, etc) the Earth was in a different position in relation to the sun, different tilt on its axis, different orbit, different rotation (in terms of velocity and DIRECTION), and the continents were in different positions, then would this not cause the ancients to see the sky (constellations) differently? In other words, is Fomenko making erronious assumptions about the physics of the Earth in pre-history, which then corrupt his data with regards to dating the relevant astrology? The last event to seriously disrupt our planet occured roughly 3500 years ago, according to other good researchers, so is it possible Fomenko has been confused by this? The vastly different physics of our planet in the not so distant past may explain this confusion, which is not to say the "mainstream" version of history is correct; on the contrary. I am not an expert in these fields, but wanted to see if this idea could spark discussion.
Pants on fire?.......2007-07-19
Will people ever read before spamming? Yes, Jesuits could not rewrite world history alone, they had help. Anyway, Dr Prof Acad A.Fomenko does not point to jesuits as the driving force of world wide history manipulation in published volumes 1,2,3;, actually he barely mentions the poor devils. Check it with 'Search inside' feature, please. China is rarely mentioned either, in fact, Dr Fomenko is completely eurocentric. Right, his theory contradicts all mainstream schools of history, because in their actual state they are all built on blatantly erroneus chronology. You don't need a mysterious cabal (conspiracy) to falsify history, the falsification is its modus operandi. It is inherent to history(ians) to falsify (distort) events, as it is inherent to humans to boast as it is inherent to power (authority) to legimize itself by referrring to glorious past made to its own order. Dr Prof Fomenko and team have identified scores of instances of such manipulation in Russian, European, etc.. history, and delivered valid statistical proof thereof. His own 'reconstruction' is completely another story. Forget c14 as a valid method of dating. W.Libby has initially discovered a brilliant method of INDEPENDENT dating. Too bad, c14 method has become a joke after a forced marrige with dendrochronology with consensual chronological scale inbuilt. Radiocarbon method can't stand blind tests, but is so very productive as a rubberstamp.
Accepted History & Chronology Must Be Changed. .......2007-04-09
There is no doubt that history as most know it is a sham, & institution's version of History both University & Church is fradulent & inaccurate. Everything was established with an agenda, The real "Dark Ages" are now when we have access to incredible amounts of information past authorities & more important 'common folk' didn't have but our institutions & educators are slow to evolve because of what has ignorantly & arrogantly been taught for too long. This is on many subjects not just Chronology.
For anyone to question "Why would a Mathematician have anything credible to say of History?" The answer is from Dr. Fomenko's preface in the book: "It would be worthwhile to remind the reader that in the XVI-XVII century Chronology was considered to be a subdivision of Mathematics." These volumes could possibly be some of the most important works to date & should be read by everyone with an interest in History, especially professors & educators who have a duty to the public. I have read both books & must say that 'Chronology 1' has some very eye opening & revolutionary information. Even if these volumes are part true the implications are profound & opens the doors to further investigations & questions which must be done. I speak several different lanquages & must say the logic Dr. Fomenko uses with "inflection" of words & words being read from left to right in one region & right to left in another then written backwards, the removal of vowels & get down to basics of words, or different cities & locations having the same name etc. is correct. Vowel usage has always been optional & varied, actually complicating linquistics & study. The first thing one has to understand is that words never had a fixed spelling in history like we do now, the spelling of words was mutable & regional, as well as names & titles of people were vast, varied & changed, NOTHING WAS FIXED or understood linear. Matters of Life & Death as well as financial profiteering yesterday & today were & are made with ignorant, illogical & conspiratorial views of history & reality, it's time people get closer to the Truth & society collectively grow up.
Very Interesting.......2007-03-07
It is a good proposal and I believe it will mature into something even better in the future. I think it deserves to be read.
History as Science Fiction.......2007-01-10
Anatoly Fomenko has written a very intriguing book, full of pictures, charts, and computer 'proof' of his thesis: backwards of AD900 we don't really know what happened or when. Between AD900 and AD1600 there is more certainty, but there is still a lot of fuzzy ground, and things don't get reliable until we get past the 1600's where the printing press made it very difficult for the perpetrators of this timeline manipulation to change anything that had been committed to print. The Dark Ages did not happen. Books were burned for a reason. One organization has doubled the actual length of its existence by expanding the real chronology. Read why.
I had always wondered why Christ died about AD33 and yet men waited until the 11th century to form the Knights Templar, the Cathars, etc and go after the Holy Land by force. Why the 1000 year gap? Turns out there wasn't more than a 10-12 year gap and he proves it using astronomy. This also implies that the planet is not as old as we have been told, and current Christian and other creationist scientists are already championing that idea without being aware of Fomenko's book. The two groups, creationist scientists and the Russian mathematical analysts corroborate each other. Fascinating.
Of course, all this flies in the face of what we have been told traditionally is the 'proper' chronology of western civilization, and most readers will experience 'cognitive dissonance' in reading this book. It means that our history going backwards from AD1600 becomes progressively more incorrect and unreliable until it cannot be trusted at all... in the space of 700-800 years.
Naturally, the curious, open-minded reader will want to know WHO did this, WHY, and did any of the events we think of as really ancient ever happen?
Dr. Fomenko is a respected scientist/mathematician at Moscow State University who has already answered these questions to the satisfaction of his initially skeptical colleagues. Most of them are now believers, a few still refuse to believe (the usual diehards), and of course the western press has ignored Fomenko's work -- for obvious reasons when you read the book. The ones who perpetrated this chronology ruse have a lot to answer for. They are still with us. That's why this book is a well-kept secret.
I gave the book a 4-star rating because I was unable to check out some of his claims; those I checked were as he said. But if even 1/3 of his claims are true, this punches a big hole in what we think is our history, the meaning of western civilization, our educational process (for repeating the ruse as gospel), and the trustworthiness of the organization that perpetrated this ruse, well-intentioned or not.
This book relates to current research into a Young Earth paradigm, to John Keel's discoveries about our planet, and Fr Malachi Martin's insights (in his now out-of-print books). We are indeed sheep who are manipulated and kept ignorant -- for a reason. While knowing what these men have to say may be the "booby prize" (as in: 'what can you do with this knowledge?'), it will provide interesting reading. Didn't someone say: "...and the Truth will set you free."?? For you to judge if this book contains the truth.

Book Description
Why bubble baths? Because I, like everyone else, wanted to see what happens behind that door when a lovely girl undresses and takes a bath. It is a time of intimacy, privacy, and vulnerability, not often seen by others. These girls came by in cute little outfits that showed off their personalities. They wore t-shirts with kitschy phrases written on them, or short flowery dresses that were easy to remove. Sometimes I had the girls get out of the tub soaking wet, run to another room, pose for some photos, and then run back to the tub. The girls brought over props too--jump ropes, toys, hats, tiaras, guitars, bubbles, hand puppets, miniature pumpkins, a yorkshire terrier, an iguana, and a duck made out of soap. There's nothing like a beautiful young woman, wet and playful.

Naked Happy Girls 2.......2007-06-20
If you saw Andrew Einhorn's other collection, Naked Happy Girls, then you should know what to expect from this volume. It is very much the same type of collection, showing Einhorn's strengths as a photographer; namely, that he seems to take a lot of pleasure in his work and his models appear to reflect that joy. That makes this book fun like the last one.
Of course, this collection also seems to put his weaknesses more on display; in particular, a lack of creativity. Despite the "bubble bath" conceit (which only appears intermittently), the setting seems only incidental to what Einhorn is trying to do: take photographs of "naked happy girls." There's nothing wrong with this, per se, but fitting his bubble bath theme at times seemed to interfere with his abilities as a photographer. He probably would have been better off just going with Naked Happy Girls 2. There were only a handful of shots that stood out to me as being really clever and excellent, though I do admire his ability to get those smiles.
I still have my personal dislike of piercings and tattoos, which ruins some of the shots for me. On the other hand, I have to agree with Einhorn's comment on the beauty of Zephyr as a subject. It is a great sequence of photos. It's almost worth having the book just for those pictures.
Good but not as his first work.......2007-03-16
I belive that BBG doesn't achive what Naked Happy Girls did.
The models look good and real, there are beautiful as well as not so beautiful girls. The scenary is real and it manages to look very natural in many ways. But, the quality and aesthetics of the photos don't get to the same level.
A nice work, but I was expecting more. I think its a nice addition but not really a must-have.
RUB A GOOD DUB.......2006-07-07
Cuties everywhere. Andrew Einhorn does a little something different that I like. Girls that are playful, and naked. These pictures aren't exactly dirty, but they are more fun than the dull pictures in Playboy. They are a lot of fun. Girls bring by their own props and clothes and get wet in the tub. Sign me up!
I like the selection of girls that this guy chooses to photograph too. All though, you may find that I like all sorts of girls, if you like the warm bubbly girls.. you will sure fire like the Bubble Bath Girls.
Fun, Festive, and Visionary .. Glistening Skin is In!!!.......2005-11-22
Andrew Einhorn is one of the the most under-celebrated art photographers working today. Despite the success of his first book, Naked Happy Girls, as well as having his own underground cable show in New York City, his name has garnered only a fraction of the acclaim that many of his peers have. This might partly be due to Einhorn's own posturing - he's a very lighthearted individual and comes across as one who doesn't take himself or his work too seriously. His self-effacing humor is actually quite refreshing in this industry, where everyone seems to be jockeying for attention, but it has not gotten him the media exposure and critical acclaim that he so rightly deserves. With that said, if he needs a bulldog to do his barking, I'll gladly take the podium. Andrew Einhorn is one of the most electrifying and inventive artists working in the medium today. What his work lacks in superficiality and pretense is more than made up for in pure, reality-based, let's-have-a-good-time portraiture. Einhorn is 100% original and with all due respect to Evander Holyfield, he's the real deal.
And so we have Bubble Bath Girls, Einhorn's new book of nude photographs. Fans of his first book will love this second outing, in that it continues in the same festive vein as the first but with two notable differences. First, it's shot entirely in color (Naked Happy Girls was all black & white) and second, it's mostly staged around a single area of the household - the bathroom. Einhorn's fascination for wet, glistening skin, soapy hair, and bubbles plays out well here. And his talent for casting a beautiful potpourri of models from various ethnic backgrounds is absolutely charming. There is no pouting or posturing or attitude within these pages - all of the girls are absolutely natural and real ... and they appear to really be having fun. That's what's so powerful about this work - the viewer feels like they are part of a real experience. Einhorn's genius is that he's able to craft this atmosphere without appearing like it's forced. He doesn't get in the way. For everyone involved; the girls, Einhorn, and the viewer, it's pure joy. At just under 400 pages Bubble Bath Girls is an in-depth and marvelous experience. Hopefully it will propel Einhorn to the level of fame and notoriety that's his due.
Good Once.......2005-10-13
Ok, I'm probably gonna get bashed for this comment, but this book was way too long - and I've never complained that a photobook was too long unless it sucked, but the irony is this book doesn't. Basically it's too much of the same thing (how creative can you actually get in a bathtub?) - the photos are great, the models decent... but I couldn't look through all 365 pages in one sitting (and no, it's not what you're thinking). I prefered "Naked Happy Girls" because it had more variety in the poses. If you're only gonna buy one, get that one instead.
Customer Reviews:
Great book!.......2007-08-15
I found this book very inspiring. There are many interesting projects. I especially liked the projects done with tiny stitches, and the cube pendant. This book covered the basic techniques, but went beyond them. I have referred back to the book many times and will continue to do so. Every time I look at it I springboard off with new ideas of my own.
Good Ideas.......2007-02-14
This book have good ideas wich help me to create my own projects. The models are elegant and easy to do.
Great book and worth the money!.......2006-09-21
This book is inspiring for the depth and innovation of the projects shown. I expect the projects of professional artist to be pushing the limits of what can be done in the medium. I would not be interested in buying a "how to" book that showed me how to make ordinary things -- go to Michael's craft stores for such "make and take" classes. This type of book, with such a variety of projects, is meant to be used as a basis to make your own, unique pieces (not to make copies of other's designs).
Not What I Expected.......2006-07-03
I was very disappointed in this long awaited book. I teach wire crochet at a local craft store and had this book on my wish list for months. While the book had good clear instructions on the various techniques involved in crocheting wire, I found the projects to be way too bizarre to have any use for the average person. As a teacher of this technique, I feel that the person new to wire crochet will be overwhelmed with the oddness of the "over the top" designs featured here while the experienced wire crocheter, will feel let down by the perhaps one or two new techniques they may find as well as the designs being virtually non-usable in the average person's wardrobe. I am definitely feeling as though I wasted my money on this book, and as a previous reviewer stated, it is definitely headed for eBay VERY soon...
Disappointed.......2006-06-26
I was very disappointed in this book. The instructions were very detailed in explaining the basic stitches -- however, the projects were not what I was expecting. The projects were all above and beyond what the average person would attempt, or wear if achieved. I will be selling this on ebay soon! Sorry!

Excellent!.......2007-09-13
My 15-mo-old son cannot get enough of this book. During the day he'll wonder into the bathroom, find it and sit on the floor looking at the bright crisp images. At bath time he loves to play the pointing game: he points and I tell him what that is and tell him a little about it. Then I ask him to find something on the page. He squeals with delight.
What fun!.......2007-07-30
I bought this for my son, though a bit late, at 17 months. Now, I can hardly get him out of the bath at night! He is having so much fun pointing at what he recognizes and we learn 1-2 words from the book every day!! Highly recommend this book for any new parent/s!!
great book at 11 months and beyond.......2007-02-20
At around 11 months old, our babies started taking an interest in holding and looking at picture books by themselves. This was ideal because it's a plastic bath book, and so they could chew on the pages and look at the pictures. By age 22 months, they were able to recognize and say all the words. I would say this book is perfect for ages 12 months to 22 months. Also recommended are the other DK Publishing bath books in the "my first series".
Good but busy bath book.......2007-02-15
Good quality, but too many pictures on each page. It is may be difficult for the baby to focus on each page.
Best bath book.......2000-08-04
My daughter has loved hearing this book while in the bath since one month of age. Her dad reads it to her and tells her things about the objects or stories. She has several other bath books, but this is by far her favorite.

Makes You Want to Take a Bath.......2004-08-24
I received this book for my birthday recently, and I loved reading it. After I was done, I totally wanted to take a warm, relaxing bath! I love the recipes, both for bath indulgences and also for drinks to sip. I can't wait to try making them. I loved the lavender tub wreath idea. This book would be great for displaying in a bathroom. I'd recommend reading it for anyone who loves taking baths!
The Bathing Encyclopedia.......2003-02-04
This book is like an encyclopedia about bathing. It describes bathing across time and cultures. It also includes recipes for drinks and bathing luxuries.
Simplicity at its Finest!.......2000-05-02
Many pictures...almost every other page portrays inticing photography that makes you dream about your next visit to the spa. A great coffee-table book, especially in the waiting room of a spa! This book could be useful in decorating as well. The writing covers some history on bathing in different cultures...very interesting!

excellent first books.......2007-06-27
I bought these books for my grandson who is in Kindergarten. After changing schools mid-year he was slow to grasp reading. I thought these books might be just his level and because the adult reads a summery of the story first he has found books he can read. The confidence these books gave him to continue was amazing. He now has gone one to slightly harder books but he still loves these.
Learning to read is fun!.......2007-01-16
We have purchased other Brand New Readers sets, and have never been disappointed yet. Our kids (5 1/2 year old son and almost 3 year old daughter) love the simple stories and illustrations, and while our son is sounding out the words, his little sister is enthusiastically shouting out the story based on the picture clues and memorization. They both feel a huge sense of accomplishement when they read to us, and we all love the humor used in the stories. Move over Dick and Jane; Brand New Readers make learning how to read fun!

Book Description
To the eye of some viewers, Renoir's Great Bathers are the very picture of female sensuality and beauty. To others, they embody a whole tradition of masculine mastery and feminine display. Yet others find in the bathers a feminine fantasy of bodily liberation. The points of view are many, various, occasionally startling--and through them, Linda Nochlin explores the contradictions and dissonances that mark experience as well as art. Her book--about art, the body, beauty, and ways of viewing--confronts the issues posed in representations particularly of the female body in the art of impressionists, modern masters, and contemporary realists and post-modernists.
Nochlin begins by focusing on the painterly preoccupation with bathing, whether at the beach, in lakes and rivers, in public swimming pools, or in bathtubs. In discussions of Renoir, Manet, Cezanne, Bonnard, and Picasso, of late-twentieth-century and contemporary artists such as Philip Pearlstein, Alice Neel, and Jenny Saville, of grotesque imagery, the concept of beauty, and the body in realism, she develops an interpretive collage incorporating the readings of differing, strong-willed, female viewpoints. Among these is, of course, Nochlin's own, a vantage point subtly charted here through a longtime engagement with art, art history, and artists.
In many ways a personal book, Bathers, Bodies, Beauty brings to bear a lifetime of looking at, teaching, talking about, wrestling with, loving, and hating art to reveal and complicate the lived and felt--the visceral--experience of art.

Customer Reviews:
Finally, a musical toy that wonýt go on and on and oný........2003-05-21
Old MacDonald has been one of my 3-year-old's favorite songs for as long as I can remember, and this waterproof book has turned into one of my best tricks for calming and entertaining her with a musical toy, while still preserving my sanity. The short book has one button in the front cover that, when pressed, will play Old McDonald through only one time, not a a five minute rendition that makes me want to stick cotton in my ears (unlike some of her other musical products...). I love the versatility of this book. More than a great tub toy, the lightweight book makes it one of my favorite toys to throw in my purse for trips to the bank or post office, when my daughter often gets itchy having to wait in line.
More than I expected.......2003-05-20
I was so excited to see that Amazon is carrying this line of tub books. Four years ago I bought one of these books for my nephew, just as an inexpensive gift that I bought on a whim on the way over to his house. I never expected that it would last him through so many years of bathtime (itýs also gotten its fair share of abuse from his baby sister for the last two years!). Who would have thought that such a reasonably priced toy would last this long? Four years and going strong!
Very high pitch and not durable.......2001-12-07
What a great idea, right? Learn about animals singing Old MacDonald while reading a nice, easily washable plastic book. It's a great idea for a kids' book. Sadly the finished product isn't good.
First, the book is very nice in small hands. The illustrations are very nice, simple animals. The assortment of animals: horse, pigs, duck, cat, turkey and goat, are unique enough that they won't likely duplicate other books.
However, like many of those trendy greeting cards of the 80's and 90's, the pitch of Old MacDonald is much too high to comfortably sing along. It doesn't even well suit children's high voices. The sound is predictably tweeky and cheap -- not that that bothers my two boys. Each press of the button plays Old MacDonald through one time only. To sing through the whole book, the button needs to be pressed six times.
Pressing the button to play the song was too hard for either of my boys until they were over two years old. This meant that any time they wanted to hear the song, they needed to find a willing adult to press it for them. If they wanted to sing through the whole book, the adult needed to stay there to press it all six times.
After only two to three cleanings, the book started to fall apart. The book never went into the bath. First the musical button imbedded in the front cover broke loose, making it frustrating for both adult and child to find. Next, the plastic pages started to separate; the foam inserts easily tore apart and littered the floor. All this took place in less than three years. None of our other plastic, bathtub books that were played with as frequently, show any signs of wear.
It's a cute idea, but it's not well done.
