5 out of 5 stars Feng Shui - Simplified!.......2007-07-10

This book makes feng shui easy and fun! Karen Rauch Carter uses the Black Hat style which is a very simple, but effective, form of feng shui. With this book you don't need a compass, pendulum or certified feng shui expert, in order to enjoy the benefits of this timeless art. You'll be able to start making changes to your home, and your life, immediately with the easy to follow instructions that are provided.

Inside, you will find a chapter for each of the 9 sections of the Bagua. Immediate action items and a short summary are provided at the end of each chapter, which can be referred to over and over. Karen will keep you entertained though out the entire book with her quirky sense of humor! She also provides loads of examples and stories of how feng shui can improve your life. I am an antique dealer, by trade, and I own my own business. I can honestly say that after decluttering my laundry room (my prosperity area) and painting it a pretty shade of lavender, I immediately noticed and increase in sales at my shop!

Just A Tip: Make sure you read chapter 12 before you start making changes in your home, the affirmations in this chapter will make all of your actions much more effective!

4 out of 5 stars Well written and easy to understand.......2007-05-20

This is probably on the top five list of good feng shui books that I've ever read. Very informative and easy to understand and follow. It's really put together nicely.

While I do think there is definately something to harmonizing the energy around you, I don't think that moving your stuff is any guaranteed way to bring a certain thing to yourself. I have a love/hate relationship to books like this. I find some really good ideas, and some I think are silly and just don't work. I know that there are other issues involved. -Like what's in a person's birth chart for example. If someone is having a difficult planetary aspect in their money house, then, no amount of moving furniture/furnishings is going to change that aspect. Although, I do think it COULD help the person deal with it better. By moving something, it could represent a shift in how one has arranged or re-arranged their thinking about the problem. So, in that way, I think it could have a beneficial side.

I found many interesting things in this book, for example, in my helpful people/travel section of my home, that's where I already have the computer (World wide web) and I just happened to have a world map there. I found a lot of other helpful information too.

This is a fun and interesting book, and it's not gonna hurt anything to give something a try afterall. Just see what works for you.

5 out of 5 stars Full of facts, well written.......2007-04-12

Excellent explanations and suggestions without getting bogged down in thousands of years of history. Written in 21st century speak with humor and intelligence. The best Feng Shui book in my bookcase (I have a few) -topping Lilian Too's series. Even tells you the anecdote when the sink is in your romance corner!

5 out of 5 stars Rave Reviews for this book.......2007-04-03

I LOVED this book, and I am having so much fun with this, I have completely redecorated my home, using mostly stuff I already had, and all my friends are commenting "What have you done?" "It feels different in here" and "Everything seems to flow better". I hung a cutglass windchime in my missing "family" space to energize the space as recommended, and within minutes my youngest daughter called me. Amazing! And so much FUN! Now I am waiting for my romance energy to imporove!

1 out of 5 stars A lot of Nonsense.......2007-03-19

I purchase several feng shui books and this one was the easiest to understand. However, nothing happened after purchasing several hundred dollars of feng shui items. Instead it seems bad things were happening to me. I junked all the stuff. I think it's total nonsense and more like witchcraft...stay away from it.

Molloy's research has helped women get ahead in the corporate world for years. Molloy's remarkable study reveals:- exactly what women need to do to make their boyfriends pop the question - the top signs a relationship is bound for the altar-or bound for disaster - how to identify which men are the 'marrying kind' and which definitely are not - and much more. WHY MEN MARRY SOME WOMEN AND NOT OTHERS will turn frustrated bachelorettes everywhere into blushing brides!

5 out of 5 stars This book is RIGHT. I'm sure it works. .......2007-01-03

I bought this book, determined to follow the advice and get my own husband. As I read it though, I realized that I didn't want a husband bad enough to do the simple, normal things required to get one. I follow the recipe for staying single, almost to the letter. That's why I have been single from the time I was 18 until now and I am 53, almost 54. You get that book and then after you read it, either do what it says to do and get married, or keep on doing what you're doing now and quit griping cause you're single - just like I had to.

An old ex friend of mine followed the advice without fail. She was married within one year. Two years later, they're still sparkling with pleasure in their relationship. :))

I am AMAZED at the negative feedback. They're shooting the messenger because they don't like the message. Their feedback tells a lot more about them, than it does about the book.

4 out of 5 stars Good Book.......2006-11-30

I thought this book was really good. It puts a lot into perspective for single women in their late 20's and early 30's who truly want to get married. I do NOT think this book is for the ones who want to RE-marry. I'm sure finding "another" husband is a little different the second time around because you're divorced, not "never married." The book helped me identify a string of men who I have dated in the past and helped me to understand the stringers, etc. I think the stages of a relationship is very important as well. It provides a blue print for relationships. I do believe that women who have a nice appearance and are attractive do have better luck because they have a wider pool of potentials. I also believe that you have to be committed to the idea and really put yourself in a place to meet eligible men. I also think this book provides reasons that most men do not reveal. As in "why didn't they call?" Most women wonder why and begin calling the guy and making fools of themselves as opposed to chalking it up as "you didn't live up to his expectations." And there's nothing wrong with that because women do it all of the time. It's about reaching mutual expectations.

I'm 31, successful, highly educated, beautiful (or so I'm constantly told) and have finally decided and committed to the idea that I want to get married. Based on the books advice, I have identified some potentials and discarded the rest (the ones I would have normally kept) and I will let you know how it goes.

3 out of 5 stars Statistically Speaking.......2006-09-25

John Malloy teaches women how to find the right man using valid stats and information. A very good tool, not that much fun to read, however.

2 out of 5 stars Catering to the Man?.......2006-07-28

I found this book a bit old-fashioned. I just turned 40, was married once, and have been in the dating scene for 5 yrs now-- still single with no long-term (more than a year) dating companion. However I'm discouraged that if one of the only ways a single over 40 woman has a chance of finding a mate is being THIN, then I probably dont want to get married ANYWAY. (I'm still attractive, but on the plumper side- 5'10, 219) I want to find a book, instead that focuses on how to help "older" women find love by loving themselves and focusing on their INNER beauty. Look at all those gorgeous BBW's and BBW dating sites out there. The movement is growing because so many more Americans are having problems. There are men who will love you for who you are-- if not, then someone needs to work on re-socializing them in the early stages to assure better partnerships for everyone in the future. Sorry, but after 40, we women start to fade a bit...its GREAT to stay as healthy as possible, but this book is unrealstic.

4 out of 5 stars Read it, understand it and then judge it.......2006-06-08

It seems nobody has reviewed this book for a couple of years with a basic understanding of what it's about.

It's a guide to help get a man to marry you. It's based on research of the "market research" variety, which is good enough for selling Coke and Ford and should work for selling relationships (which most people want more than they want a car - most people seem to want cars to get a relationship). It's written in an informative but light-hearted way.

A lot of people in these reviews don't like the book (some who've only read a few pages). My contributions to the war:

Firstly, the book is for women who want to get married - if you don't want to get married (or at least not any time in the next 5 years) don't read it.

Second - it's qualitative research. That means you don't need big numbers you just need the right people - and he has both the right people and the numbers.

Third - weight takes up less than 1 of the 200 pages. Another is dedicated to why 20% of never-married women in their 40s would do it the same all over again. There's actually more space spent on how to maximise your chances with good-looking men than there is on weight. And that doesn't include looking good yourself.

Is the advice obvious? Well, a lot of it is straightforward. But some isn't. The reviewer who said they needed to be 26 before getting married missed the point - the majority of men need to be that age (or older if they've been to college) before they seriously think about marriage. Do their spouses? No - so if you're a 20-year-old-woman planning on finding a spouse not a boyfriend, check out the 25+ crew.

And to those good-looking women who thought the book had nothing to say to them - please read the other 199 pages. To the plump, sassy crowd - please read the other 199 pages. The biggest drawcard isn't looks.

In summary - it's good advice with sound research behind it. It's not for everyone 'cause not everyone wants to get married in the near future. But if that's you, you probably couldn't do better than this as a guide to hooking him.

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Wonderfully Insightful.......2007-10-12

Rashid talks about designing your own life by your own rules. Somewhat ironically, he provides you with many of his own "rules" for doing so. But don't let that steer you from this book. He provides an amazing approach to building and growing in today's modern world. You don't have to agree with all suggestions and ideas, but it will help you understand what it means to live a life that is substantially more fulfilling than the typical paint-by-numbers, status quo lifestyle that is all too common.

5 out of 5 stars thought provoking and inspiring.......2007-09-14

I have to say I really enjoyed this book. --Though you have to take his advice with a grain of salt. In the book, he describes the ideal way to live... It doesn't mean that all of us are equipped to live this way. For instance, he says to donate your clothes and buy a whole new wardrobe every year. As wonderful as that would be, I can't afford to do that.

He describes his idea of a perfect world, and wants us to strive for the same world. It doesn't mean we are there right now. But the simple changes that he suggests we make can get us one step closer to a better society.

I loved the book and would like to read his others soon.

3 out of 5 stars Appreciate the effort.......2007-02-17

I found this book to be pretty inspirational and I do appreciate people who inspire or try to inspire or who care enough and Karim Rashid seems to do this. Maybe in a simplistic and naively optimistic way, but then again, nobody every accomplished anything by pessimistically knowing better. He's certainly accomplished a lot, more than most of us so maybe there's something to be learned here. Layouts remind me of Wired mag, good to page through form time to time, doesn't really require it to be read cover to cover.

1 out of 5 stars I am perfectly okay being the only person that hates this book........2007-02-15

Why does everyone seem to like this book? Are we all so much in a daze, going with the flow, keeping up with the neighbors, that we have never stopped to think that we might be doing something for reasons other than that we really want or need to do them? If you are at all a spiritual person, or a designer with a more developed aesthetic, this might not be the book you're looking for. I came to it expecting insight about the relationship between work and play in a creative person's life, but had to stop reading after 50 pages (which is rare, my habit is to finish a book no matter what) because he was preaching at me. Why the insistence on bright colors, for the design of the book and a recommended way of life? It is arbitrary. It happens to be what inspires him, he happens to love his life, but that doesn't mean I would benefit in any way by removing all of the edges from my house and wearing bright colors. I have never come across a design related book that made me so angry. Design is not spirituality. Creative work can be a very spiritual thing but I felt he was instructing others in what he considers good taste. How ridiculous! Advice for what to do at each age! a layout like a children's book! Maybe he should rethink his indulgent highlighter book design; traditional book layouts are far more efficient and legible.

For those that need examples of bringing creativity into one's everyday life, a better start would be a biography of an artist whose work is related in some way to a personal vision or ideal. Many artists, scientists, and thinkers have led extraordinary lives we can learn from, and would easily expose rashid's life as merely stylized.

For those that need to think more about life choices and habits, perhaps a spiritual guide would be in order, not an arrogant, preachy designer.

5 out of 5 stars Very Good book.......2007-02-13

I typed in Karim's name looking for some of his decor on Amazon, and to my surprise there was the listing for this book. I went to my local bookstore, and read 70 pages of it. I had it in my hand, took it to the counter, and then changed my mind, because it was $25! The design and layout of the book is great, and full of what the author constantly notes as "BRIGHT COLORS".

The next day I immediately started to declutter, some of my things, and even my husbands! This is surely a reference book for design and self help.

I have been looking for a book like this for a long time! I am a freelance graphic and interior designer, and I appreciate Rashid's words. I just received the book in the mail today, and cannot wait to read the rest of it when I get home. I'm so excited.

Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars Doesn't work for me!.......2007-01-01

I read this book in early August '06 and tried half of the tips from this book: from tips #119 & 148, 49-day signing ritual to #41 double-happiness symbols, madrin ducks, flying geese, dragon/phoenix, mystic knot, and peonies, etc). None of them work for me as of today, the last day of 2006! Some tips are impossible to follow in this US, unless you live in Chinatown. (i.e. tip# 149: hang love banners to catch the dragon's breath). I read some FS books, including Lillian Too's Total FS, and became confused. In this book, Lillian Too mentioned in tip #65, hang a 6-rod wind chime at NW of home and bedroom. Some FS books argued that wind chime is not good for keeping in the bedrooms. There are two groups of FS masters so it's up to you to follow which book you are reading.

Honestly, none of the FS tips work for me, not just for romance. I don't see any improvement with FS. It was very interesting to learn FS but some tips cost pretty much, especially when you purchase those FS products on-line. Save your $$$ and read FS books from library if you are interested in FS. One of the book is very entertaining, "Move your stuff, change your life" by Karen Rauch Carter, available here at amazon. Karen's tips are easy to follow with your existing things and not very Chinese-ish like Lillian Too's. Good if you live in the West. Only good thing is FS helped me to clear stuff (cluster) in my room and rearranged by "Bagua". But again, none of them work for me as of today!

4 out of 5 stars Which is the best formula?.......2004-09-08

I think this book is very unique! Can anyone here pls. email me which is the best formula/tip? I would really appreciate it. Thanks! clam_chowder_311@yahoo.com

4 out of 5 stars A lot of formulas.......2001-01-06

Just a request for the people who have obtained successful results from using this book. Please let us know which rules apply for you.

Lillian Too's "Easy-to-use feng shui for love: 168 ways to happiness" , obviously, has a lot of formulas. Most of them are very consistent, which is good. The confusing thing is which formula works best? How do we prioritize this book?

The best part of the book is that it offers a lot of solutions. This means that most people can find something that will work for them, whether they live in a small apartment or a big mansion. In addition, the book contains a lot of pictures and illustrations which help the readers obtain some clear ideas.

However, having so many formulas make it hard to determine which formula I should use.

So reviewers and readers who used this book successfully, please let us know which formula worked for you! It will be helpful, even if you just name the number of the formula that works.

Thanks.

5 out of 5 stars Creating Love Opportunities.......2000-08-22

Lillian Too's Easy to Use Feng Shui for Love is for any one who wants to increase options for love relationships. I followed advice on enhancing and balancing my romance area and five minutes later a person I am interested in getting to know better called on the phone! Coincidence? I don't think so! Recommendations made in this book are easy to accomplish. Of course, what you do with these newly created opportunities (for love relationships) are entirely up to you. It's not magic. In addition, I have enjoyed my home more in readying it for prospective romance. It enpowers me (somewhat) that I can affirmatively put into place arrangements of pictures, candles, sculptures and the like, to enhance the interior design of my home, but also promote the "right" person in my life. Lillian Too is knowledgeable and provides good insight to feng shui practices that will appeal to a variety of people and decorating tastes. Single men and women, gay or straight, a must buy.

5 out of 5 stars You absolutely must try this book if you want to find love.......2000-06-19

How to Keep Love—And Romance—In the Human/Animal Kingdom of Your Home

Dr. Gold to the rescue, with a practical guide for couples who just want a peaceable kingdom. Sometimes animals take the place of people in relationships, so when we argue about the hamster, we may really be arguing about the children or an old boyfriend. Feelings of jealousy, anger, control, guilt, and fear can all play themselves out through our pets. Dr. Gold explains how conflicts over pets are often signs of deeper conflicts between couples, and shows how you can get at the root of these conflicts, bring them into the open and resolve them."

This book really was a very thoughtful account of some psychological ways of thinking about pet problems that are really not about pets but about the people who are involved in relationships and also have pets. I liked the explanation of projection and how we project feelings that we do not want to own as part of who we are onto other people and sometimes onto pets. I found the chapter on grief really helpful because I recently lost a cat. I think the book is an important contribution to animal literature and relationships between people.

5 out of 5 stars This book changed my life.......2000-04-03

This book really changed my life. It saved a relationship with my boyfriend of three years. It has forced me to really listen to other people's advice and opinions. It has let me truly see myself for the first time. For all those people who might look at this book in a skeptical light, Your wrong, it is a marvelously written and wonderfully enlightning book and I encourage everyone to read it, even if you aren't having problems with a partner and a pet.

4 out of 5 stars Entering my biosphere.......2000-04-01

My husband Mark says when we got married he entered my biosphere. This came as something of a shock to him, because he really expected to have a relationship like the one his parents had. His mother did not like animals of any sort. Before Mark and I met my household consisted of: one six year old boy and his garter snake collection, a large mutt named Smitty whose head was level with the kitchen table, and a zen master cat named Charlie. We all got along just fine, thank you, but had to make room for Mark. Mark had never been allowed to have pets when he was a kid, except for a series of moribund goldfish which tried to survive in a small round fishtank without benefit of air filters. Learning to care for what were now OUR pets gave Mark the chance to make up for what he had missed as a boy. The dog, however, had never really wanted a Mark in his life. My son was also not always enthused. Mark and Smitty and David were all natural competitors, Smitty ate Mark's breakfast every morning without fail. David listened to cartoons (loud!). Mark's response when he is in a rage is to pretend that the offending party doesn't exist. It's very hard to ignore a dog when he's bigger than you are,and a kid who turns the TV set up full blast to really enjoy Woody Woodpecker. It's not easy to live with a man who is angry at you all the time because he's jealous of your child and your dog either. I felt like I was stuck between all three of them. Maybe if we had had the benefit of Dr. Gold's book we could have solved our problems a lot faster.

Excellent book! I wished I would have known about this book 5 years ago.
It does a great job of telling you what to expect in the future and how you can cope with today. I am sure I will return to this book time and time again.
Although written from the view of a Christian, its not "preachie". It gives very practical advice. It does give scripture references and the talks about the power of prayer, but I think even non-Christian would benefit from this book.

5 out of 5 stars Practical, overflowing with emphathy & well written.......2005-05-23

I am helping to care for my grandmother and I stumbled upon this book 'by chance'. I am a quarter way through and this looks like a gem of a book.

I found the insights and advice consistent with how my gran is responding in her present state of health, her day-to-day needs, and how the family is dealing with the situation (many a times dysfunctionally).

It is practical, overflowing with emphathy and speaks from a person who has gone through the process herself - a very accessible book which addresses the needs of both caregivers and aging parents. Despite the book being written some time ago, it challenged my own misguided notions about old people.

Certainly very highly recommended for anyone who is going into or are in a situation where they are caring for an aging person. Often, one may reach a place where one is not sure "what to do next". This book will definitely help.

5 out of 5 stars Comprehensive, informative reading........2000-07-31

When I learned that my father would possibly be moving to a skilled care nursing home, I looked around for material regarding caring for the elderly from a Christian perspective. This book was very helpful. The author has personally experienced care-giving for both of her parents. She gives insight from all perspectives such as, health care, siblings, government support, estates, living wills, support groups and taking care of yourself. Each chapter has a Biblical scripture theme. The book would be inspiring and informative to those who are overwelmed with all the issues of taking care of elderly parents. I found the book to especially benefit me since I am the daughter who doesn't live in the same town as my father so the burden of care-giving falls on my sister. This book gave me many ideas on how I can support her. I was so impressed with the information in the book that I purchased the book for my sister.

One word describes this book: OUTSTANDING! Given these two statistics: (1) Every seven seconds, a baby boomer turns age 50, and (2) the divorce rate is up 16 percent for marriages of 30-plus years, this book is a MUST READ for all couples who fall into the empty nest/second half marriage category. Don't let the word "fighting" in the title make you think for a minute that this book is only for couples whose marriages are on shaky ground. It is for ALL couples wanting to build, keep, or return to a great relationship.

This book is the best of the best. It is the best of the book The Second Half of Marriage by David and Claudia Arp in which they identify eight challenges every marriage in the second half faces. And, it is the best of the strategies and techniques of the Prevention and Relationship Enhancement Program (PREP) developed by Stanley, Markman, and Blumberg. Not only do the authors suggest powerful, yet simple, ways couples can upgrade their communication and conflict resolution skills, they also stress the importance of building couple friendship, having fun, becoming empty nest lovers, and keeping the relationship strong.

Although we are an empty nest couple, it doesn't seem that way with the pets we inherited from the kids when they moved out. We have 3 cats, 1 dog and an iguana to keep us busy now. I think the kids were easier to raise!

This great book isn't just for couples who have a truly empty nest. Many midlife couples today find that their nests get refilled with boomerang adult kids, aging parents, visits from kids and grandkids, or grandkids on a full time basis.

I liked the section on how to learn about the danger signs of behaviors that can lead couples who have been married for decades to the divorce court. There is also good information on the major issues that midlife couples need to deal with in order to have a strong marriage.

4 out of 5 stars Buy This Book Before Making A Business Decision, Ladies!.......2006-10-15

    ****
This is a great introductory book about what an adult sex toy business for women involves. It is strictly for a woman who is interested in distributing sex toys via the party plan method in an extremely tasteful way (as opposed to a sleezy or crude way). It would not be helpful for men who wish to start this type of business, as the book is written strictly for women. It also would not be helpful to a woman who is interested in selling hard-core adult sex products in the ways men have traditionally sold such products to each other (via pornographic sites, adult book stores, etc.) This is for the "new way" of marketing sexual aids to women, via romance, self-empowerment, and selling "sexual fulfillment"---techniques that are unique to this business of woman-to-woman sales.

The book covers MLMs and already established party plans. It also covers starting your own business from scratch. It compares the different costs and benefits of each method of business.

The greatest value of this book is that it covers what it's really, really like to be in the adult sex toy business, things I'd never thought of, like customer returns, liability and local laws, product delivery and privacy, control of guests at parties (yes, they can get rowdy!), the hard work and commitment necessary to be successful, and more. It really opened my eyes, changing my idea of the adult sex toy business as something that seemed like a fun and funky idea to the harsh realities of operating such a business. It is not a discouraging book, just a realistic book. It helps you to evaluate if you are the type of person that would truly enjoy the day-to-day operations of "having a romance business" (a popular euphemism for this business) before you run out and spend several hundred to over a thousand dollars to buy a kit from a company.

It is written by the two women who started Lady Bliss, a popular adult sex toy party plan, and details the often humorous experiences they ran into. As you might imagine, it comes off as being a little biased towards joining a party plan versus starting your own party plan, but just a little; this is a little natural, since this is the author's business. The authors cover several other party plans as well as sharing their own experiences starting their own, so you definitely get enough information to make a good decision and get started in your own research, saving you lots of time and even more money.

This book is a fun read (as you can tell by the cover) even if you don't plan on ever starting a business, but are just curious. If you are thinking of starting a "romance business", you'd be wise to buy this book; I'm certain you won't be sorry.

    Book Description

Those annoying habits can be damaging to a relationship over time. There’s hope for change. Dr. Chapman provides a do-it-yourself approach to helping couples learn to overcome bad habits. By learning and using Dr. Chapman’s simple 3-step process (admitting and asking forgiveness for your own past failures; discovering and speaking your spouse’s love language; and learning the proper time, place, and way to request behavioral change), couples will be able to successfully negotiate change without resorting to arguing or manipulation.

    Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars This is a quick, tight read --- perfect for brushing up on your marriage, even if it's already shining........2007-06-06

Couples resort to using manipulation within a marriage for one reason: it works! But anyone who has been married for very long will tell you that manipulation is a muddy foundation for any relationship --- it's messy and unstable. Are there other ways to get a spouse to change? Gary Chapman, author of the bestselling THE FOUR SEASONS OF MARRIAGES, believes that there are more effective, long-lasting and loving ways to negotiate change with those you love.

HOME IMPROVEMENTS, the latest addition in The Chapman Guide series, provides a practical, down-to-earth blueprint for building a solid foundation for a healthy marriage.

Why is the desire for spousal change so universal and yet the reality of real, lasting change so rarely experienced? Chapman believes that most couples are starting at the wrong place, failing to understand the power of love and lacking the skills to effectively communicate the desire for a spouse to change.

Real change begins by changing yourself and not waiting for your spouse to make the first change. Chapman prescribes looking for the "plank in your own eye" and assessing your own weaknesses and failures in the relationship. He even goes so far as to encourage asking for outside help from close friends and family members and listening to their observations about your marriage. No doubt some of the comments will sting, but, if used prayerfully, they can help you begin to recognize areas that you need to work on.

What about the change in your spouse? That starts only after you've begun to strengthen the foundation of love in your marriage by learning to speak your spouse's love languages. Chapman draws from his bestselling book, THE FIVE LOVE LANGUAGES, to encourage readers to fill up their spouse's love tank through words of affirmation, gifts, acts of service, quality time and physical touch.

Now down to the nitty-gritty: When you deliver a request for change to your spouse, sandwich it with compliments and remember that even the most minute movement toward change should be applauded. At the same time, it's important to keep in mind that some things will never change, and that the real change is going to have to come from you. Chapman shares a personal story from his own marriage. His wife has a tendency to leave cabinet doors open. After asking her to close them for months and growing more frustrated with the lack of response, the couple's child fell on an open drawer and cut herself. Chapman thought the incident would compel his wife to finally begin closing the drawers. Two months later, it finally dawned on him: she was never going to close drawers! Chapman says he was faced with a choice: be miserable every time he saw an open drawer, or accept this as something that will never change and close the drawers himself. He wisely chose the latter, recognizing that such a simple activity only takes a second a day.

Such down-to-earth wisdom and advice line the pages of HOME IMPROVEMENTS. This is a quick, tight read --- perfect for brushing up on your marriage, even if it's already shining.
