What Every Woman Should Know About Divorce and Custody is a necessary resource for women and men in the process of going through a divorce, as well as for those trying to decide whether or not to divorce, and even after divorce, when custody and child support issues still rear their ugly heads. It is clear, concise, and comforting. This book is a real eye-opener to those thinking about or just starting the process, and provides important information and tactics to all readers about this brutal process. Many lawyers treat the divorce process like a chess game and this book gives you an insider's view of the system. This book arms you with the information to wage the battle. The book is newly updated. It gives good tips on e-mail, virtual visitation, spyware, and other twenty-first century issues that I hadn't even considered. I had read the author's book Divorce and Money and I found this book on custody to be a great help with all of the custody issues.

About Custody, and a MUST READ.......2007-01-24
I agree that this book is about dealing with a custody battle. If you have children, and are thinking about getting divorced, I recommend you read "Divorce Busters" because the custody process is truly horrible, and because there are a lot of marriages out there that could and should be saved. Unfortunately mine was not one of those, and this book has been invaluable in guiding me through the process intelligently. There are few underhanded tricks listed, which I rather approve of (although it does mention that you should interview the town's "Shark" lawyer before your husband does so that he can't hire him) Just a LOT of good advice! Read this before you choose your lawyer, and you will get a lot more bang for the considerable bucks you are likely to be investing. Read this BEFORE you leave your family home if possible! But do read it; you won't be sorry.

Well written, easy to understand with loads of advice and comfort for those going through the challenges of a custody battle. The author shares some of her own experiences and leaves you with a feeling of hopeful optimism. I consider this a must-read for any parent going through a divorce. I thought that her comments on dressing for court and behavior during separation were common sense, but perhaps there are some readers who would need to understand better how their image and demeanor affect a judge's perception of them as a parent. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone trying to gain custody of their children.

This is the most thorough and informative book on divorce issues that I have read. As a divorce attorney, I am always curious to know what other attorneys are thinking. This book is worth $100. Actually, it is priceless. If your child is language delayed, fussy and quirky, more mercurial than his/her peers...this book will help you identify these behaviors and discover the reasons behind your child's actions. Finally, you will understand the communication difficulties your child is experiencing and you will understand why he/she acts as they do.
This book is easy to read. You will recognize your child in the identified behaviors and you will discover that there may be multiple issues. Our child had been diagnosed with intermittent middle-ear fluid by a highly skilled team: ENT, Speech Pathologist and Audiologist. But it was this book that help us pinpoint the other behaviors and discover/address the Auditory Processing issue. I found this book more descriptive than practical. The author dwealt on characteristics of the various communication problems kids may have, and lengthy case studies. The real let down was practical tips on what parents can do about it! The author generally refers the reader to specialists like a speech pathologist or a "special education teacher" or a psychologist. You could save money by not buying this book, and just get a referral to a specialist.

This is a great resource for parents who are trying to figure out if their children have some sort of language problem. The author does an excellent job by naming every different problem and defining very clearly each concept. It is also good to find resources to help your child in case you do not have insurance that can cover your child's speech therapy. The cases presented are also very good since some of them can apply to your real life situation. If you are looking for a great tool to confirm language issues, you have it!

I found this book to be an excellent and comprehensive guide. My daughter has a speech and language problem, but until reading this book I didn't realize how her listening problems were related. I showed the book to her teacher and we able to get an audiologist who could diagnose her auditory processing problem. Now she is getting the right help, and I will be eternally grateful to this author for writing this fabulous book. I wish I had read this when she was younger because perhaps I would have known what to look for. The symptoms are subtle in the younger child and become a little more obvious once they are trying to function in a classroom. I highly recommend this book!!

I found this book very compelling reading. It was writen quite well and I basically finished it in one sitting. I appreciated Ms. Mullen's treatment of sensitive sexual issues and will be referring some of my counseling patients to this book. Her mature and clever take on a variety of sexual behaviors will be useful to many people who find it difficult to communicate with their partners regarding their sexual wants and needs. Oh, by the way, I learned some interesting new things for myself.

What Is It About?
This is Tariq's version of the Art of Mackin for Women. It promises to give women advice about men, dating, and relationships.
What Did I Get Out Of It?
I learned what king flex has to say about dating and seduction and got to hear what he advises women to do.
The Good News
The book is excellent and does deliver. It spells out the problems with men, the problems with women, what women really want, and why they think they want what they say they want. It also details the different type of males / females that exist in the dating world. The book is basically a hand book on dating and relationships and should be required reading for all women and most men.
The Bad News
There is relatively little bad news concerning this book. It is a bit short and I leisurely read it over the course of a weekend but, I consider that a good thing. Tariq is short and to the point and doesn't attempt to sugar coat things or pander to women with this book.
The Bottom Line
Any aspiring Mack man or women should have this book. It breaks down women and men and will help both parties do better with the opposite sex.

While I understand the basis to his philosophy, I feel that in repeating the stereotypes he perpetuates negativity sub-consciously. The laws of yesterday are not the same today. While he gives an overall view there is little uplifting and solution based strategy offered in this book. Does every group have it's faults? Yes, but if you have so much knowledge why not churn out something of higher value. Overall- smart brother, but I think he (and we) can do better.
Refreshing look at men and women.......2007-07-27
This book is a straight-forward and honest approach to man-woman relationships. The author writes in a friendly and frank manner. These words of wisdom are offered in a clear, thoughtful, and real form.
"The word game in strict terms simply means intelligence, hustle, and common sense. And having game means being knowledgable in every endeavor you choose to engage in." This book helps a female who makes bad choices in men, become a sophisticated, interesting, and confident woman who is comfortable with herself.
The reader is offered ten "Play or Be Played" tips, and also is given ten ways a woman can improve herself-in the form of game tips.
My favorite chapter dealt with the types of men:
-player
-professional
-pushover
-parolee
-the urban renaissance man
It was so interesting to find out about the different types of men, and to be made aware of their qualities.
The types of women are also displayed. Tips are also offered for a woman to improve her personality.
This book/guide applies to all aspects of life. It was entertaining and educational.

IF YOU WANT TO BE UP ON GAME READ THIS.......2007-06-01
This book broke the laws of physics down. K-Flex begins by letting you know that anything y0u do in life will fail or succeed depending on your game. He is not telling us ladies to play on guys, but just letting us know how guys think and how to overide their plan to get in our panties.
K-Flex goes on to let the ladies know how to up your game so you can be that girl that every every guy wants.
On top of all that he asks that you be real with yourself and tell YOURSELF (not others) what your true agenda is with your relationship. Basically he's saying that if your a gold digger then admit it to yourself, if your a ho admit it to yourself... & so on.
He might be an "ex-pimp" but he's still a misogynist and sexist.......2007-04-06
Do not buy this book unless you want to be insulted. This book is based on the baseless opinions, ridiculous generalities and the WORST of gender stereotypes. He argues that "women are not born to be leaders" and "women are emotional thinkers." This book is inane, illogical and downright offensive to any women or girls who respect themselves. Quite frankly, I am angered that anyone even published this book.

okay, i seen many dating/relationship books that are really terrible. i've read some books that made me laugh, i've avoided buying these books, most of the time i'll scan through them to see if theres anything good in them, there usually isn't. but this book is different. there was actually stuff in here that taught me something. there are some stuff in here about body language that i didn't know, and some stuff about how you are supposed to ask for things. i didn't realize that i was making a mistake about how i asked for numbers, i mean come on that is supposed to be simple right. but after i change my style i notice i was gettin more numbers. this stuff really works. it gives you some tips about how to tell if a girl is into you or not, advice on your opening line, and how to get a girl to chase you, not the other way around. granted there was some stuff in this book that i already knew, you'll probably experience the samething, but a lot of it is stuff i didn't know or stuff i've never thought about. all in all its a very good book, i would have given it 5 stars, but because of some of the elementry stuff hurt its overall value. i highly recomend this book for all the youngsters out there that are having lady trouble and to any guys out there lookin to improve their game.

This book is good for a quick read, yet left me a little disconcerted, as the author admits a divorce or two... So, what kind of women do you want to find? This book might help you find a certain type of woman. It seems like a book with a regular-guy bar scene type of target customer. If you are a regular guy who hangs at the bar this book may be perfect for you.
Yet, what kind of women do you meet at the bar? Will they stay loyal to you? Are they together people, who last for the long haul? Or how will you treat them, as you may be a drunk who acts without long-term consideration? The ideas in this book may help you, but they didn't inspire me too much. There was some very good information on initial contact. I guess it's a really good book for the beginner.

This book is pretty good. It's written in a straightforward, no-nonsense way. It gives a list of where you can meet women, read her body language and know what it means. Conversation, dating; its all covered. Most of it's commen sense stuff, but it made me think about it.
If you are looking for a book about how to pick up women and get laid tonight, this book IS NOT for you. It's for teaching men what they can do to keep women interested in them.

My best friend and I found this book in the garage of the house she and her friends were renting. We read it and had some good laughs over it, but we both loved it and agree that the author definitely knows his stuff. I've recommended it to a couple of guy friends so far. It's very engaging, concisely written, and has a wealth of information. I would recommend it not only to guys who are looking to date, but to any guy who wants to better understand women in general, or to girls who want to learn what exactly guys are watching for.

If you ever felt insecure around women, then this is the book for you! It was easy to read and really opened my eyes up to the possibilities around me. This book applies to you if you between 16 and 60. When I read it, the haze that I usually stumbled around in while trying to meet a woman cleared up and my confidence grew exponentially. I may not look like Tom Cruise, but I can now act with confidence wherever singles gather and meet. This is definitely a must read for anyone facing today's single scene.

I can't say enough good things about this book. The menus alone make the book worth the purchase price!!! If you can find it, buy it. The author knows what a pregnant woman needs to eat, and why, and what proper nutrition can prevent - eclampsia, pre-eclampsia, toxemia, underweight babies, poor breast milk production etc. This is a fabulous book. I read it first when my sister was pregnant in 1991. I've kept a copy ever since and given copies to several pregnant friends and relatives. Bravo!!!

When I was pregnant with my first child (25 years ago!) I read a gazillion books about all aspects of pregnancy, childbirth, and nursing. This book would be at the top of the list. The information about diet and nutrition for pregnant women (particularly in the prevention of toxemia) was easy to understand and backed by solid research/clinical observations. Assuming this edition is similar to the one I read, it also included a thorough list of the nutritional content of common foods.

Learn how to avoid toxemia (pre-eclampsia) in pregnancy. The main point is to eat salt and eat enough protein. The author's doctor husband did research for decades and cured toxemia by simply supplying the salt shaker and adding meat to the diet. Read the details. Get some recipes at the end of the book. Read example stories.

This book discusses the REAL cause of preeclampsia-protein calorie deficientcy. It discusses the how and why and what to do for preeclampsia prevention. Any respectable midwife already knows this, and if you can find this book, you can too. If you've had preeclampsia and want good advice on not geeting it again call Dr Brewer at 1 802 388 0276.This author and retired obgyn is glad to get the word out on prevention of this lifetaking pregnancy complication.

A Must read for Parents and Teachers.......2000-12-18
I am a parent who also is a doctoral student in measurement. I teach an undergraduate course which is required for pre-service teachers. I bought this book even though I have many more advanced level books on the topic because Popham does an excellent job presenting sometimes difficult and technical manner in a format which is humorous, inviting and easy to read - uncommon characteristics for most material in the field! In today's testing world this wonderful text is full of information to enable all parents to better understand testing and what they can do to help their child perform better. I feel teachers would also benefit from Popham's easy to understand expertise as he addresses parental concerns - teachers could learn not only measurement but gain a better understanding of parental concerns.

I read this book a while back and I think it is great. It gives information on the different kind of sign languages that are out there. It also has info on education for a deaf child. This book is wonderful, I think it would be excellent for any one with a Deaf child needing some direction in the deaf world. Or some one needing info on Deafness and sign language.

I am currently a small business owner/operator. I have also had some 30 plus years in international development. Dr. Koenig's book offers some first rate, common sense guidelines to private, family owned and operated business entrepreneures. In that context, the book transcends international bounderies. I'd recommend the book to anyone, not just American readers. I would particularly recommend the book to heads of family busnesses that are about to retire and turn over management. I bought this book when I was thinking of coming out to my parents. Although they never read it, I did. I learned more about the issues of being gay and how to deal with them by reading this book than from any other source. It helped me to understand my parents' fear and anxiety, and helped me to accept myself in a very positive way that has lasted a lifetime.
I highly recommend this book to anyone, gay or straight, who desires to learn the facts about homosexuality, and how real people can deal with its unique problems in a positive way.
Excellent book for gay men and women and their families........1998-05-18
I did a search for this title specifically so I could submit a review. That's how good I think it is. I read a previous release of this book when I was "outed" to my family accidentally in 1980. The book described to me the feelings of some parents, the possibility of rejection, but especially the love and acceptance that can be experienced by gays when they reveal their whole selves. This book can bring comfort to family members who are dealing with coming-out issues. I thank and applaud the authors whole-heartedly!

I didn't know a book on this subject could be as enlightening, inspiring, and informative all at the same time. Truly insightful in delivering and uncovering of the "Homosexual" dilemna of children who at some point in their lives have decided to face the consequences of telling their parents who they really are.
This book focuses on uncovering the heartaches, fear, rejection, love of parents and at the same time confusion and self-doubt faced by most parents of homosexual children. This book provides personal glimpses and sheds some light on parent's fears that they are somehow responsible for who their children have become regarding their sexuality and focuses more on accepting and loving their child for the whole person that they have become instead of hating them or rejecting them for that one aspect of their life.

I got this book for my own use. I am 18. I did not know what to say to my parents. And I just needed to know what it is like. And I think that it really showed me. Even though my mom and sister found out about my gayness the wrong way I think that I learned what to expect. And I think that it helped me to react better to their finding out. And I hope that others in my situation can find some solace in this book as I did.
